It had already been a month. Eggman was dead. Sonic had been so happy when he was finally rid of him.

Every day felt different, in a good way.

But today was different, Sonic was out right bored. He realized how much fun it was to go off and save the day from

Eggman. He decided to go and talk to Tails.

"Hey Sonic," Tails greeted from underneath another airplane. "Bored again?"

"Yep, is Metal doing anything suspicious?" Sonic asked

"Not that I heard," Tails said.

"Chaos break out?"

"Remember? When you defeated Chaos you made it so he wasn't angry anymore. So I doubt that he would

be much of a threat. Unless you count petting chao a threat," He answered.

"Did Eggman..., Oh, I forgot," Sonic sighed.

"You miss him don't you!" Tails smiled

"Do not!" Sonic insisted

"Do too! I'm going to go tell Amy!" Tails laughed as he ran off

"Oh no your not!" Sonic yelled as he chased the little kitsune

They ran past the forest, over the plain, through the loops. Until they reached Amy's house

near the beach.

"Amy! Amy!" Tails yelled before he was tackled by Sonic "Oof!"

"What is it ,Tails?" Amy asked puzzled

"He, He. Tails was just running to say that I want to know if you would like to see the

"Chao in Space 3" movie tonight," Sonic said blushing.

"Really?! Of course I'll come Sonic!" She exclaimed as she ran into her house to find a dress to wear

Sonic dragged Tails back to his workshop.

"You still miss him," Tails laughed as he flew off.

"Do not!!! Where are you going now?" Sonic yelled

Tails didn't answer so Sonic hopped in one of the airplanes and flew off after him.

Sonic flew after Tails all the way to Angel Island.

"Knuckles!! Knuckles!" Tails Giggled "Guess what!"

"What?" Knuckles answered out of boredom

"Sonic.. Oof!" Tails began before Sonic tackled him

"Heh, Heh, Hey Knuckles, fancy meeting you here," Sonic said loudly.

"Well, I do live here. What do want?" He asked

"Mph! mmmm .. Eggman!" Tails yelled before Sonic put his hand back over Tails' mouth

"What about him?" Knuckles asked, getting slightly annoyed

"Oh, uh, I forgot where his old base was. I was wondering if you knew where it was," Sonic said.

"It's just north of the west beach. NOW GET OF MY ISLAND!" Knuckles yelled

Sonic and Tails ran back to the airplane and flew to Eggman's base. Sonic wanted to go destroy it some more.

When they arrived they saw robots everywhere.

"Whoa, I've never seen so many robots since Metal Sonic transformed!" Tails exclaimed

"Yeah, little buddy, something's not right. Come on! Let's go find out what's up!" Sonic yelled as he ran off

They ran all around the building. All they saw was robots. Just the normal worker ones, no weapons on them.

So they decided to go inside to the control room. On there way in though, they came upon an all too familiar person.

"What?!?! Sonic?! Here!?" Eggman screeched

"Eggman? Alive?" Tails fainted

"Eggman? Alright, I'm back in business!" Sonic exclaimed as Eggman called some cough new robot to help him fight.

I hope you enjoyed the story. I didn't write, "and so they began to fight AGAIN." because I thought it would be a little redundant.
