Michael walked through the double doors and readjusted his suit jacket. "Everything alright?" Arthur questioned taking a quick look out back to see the Blake siblings standing there. "Yea, you know him just making it known hes trying to go after my girlfriend." He looked at Arthur with an annoyed face. Arthur grabbed his shoulder, "You have nothing to worry about. Besides, you want John and I to rough him up?" Hearing his name John walked up, "Who are we roughing up?" "Greg Blake back there told Michael he will be trying to make a move on Jessica," Arthur laughed. "That tool bag thinks hes breaking those 2 apart? Ok we have a better chance breaking both his legs then that ever happening." Michael still tense John grabbed his shoulders and faced him towards Jessica, "That girl over there loves you and is waiting for her dance. Now go," he said lightly pushing him towards her. Michael walked towards Jessica where she was standing with his mother, "May I have this dance?" A smile beamed on her face. She handed Polly her champagne glass and said, "I thought you'd never ask." He took her hand and they walked towards the dance floor.
They had been dancing for awhile. Eyes on each other as if they were the only two in the room. Her body moved with the music. Michael could tell she had a little more to drink than usual. She was so free and relaxed. He dipped her back and brought her back up. Her smile radiated the room and her laugh couldn't help, but make him smile. "Whats the goofy smile for?" she asked. He tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, "You just make me happy." Before she could respond, "Can I cut in before my daughter is attached to you for the rest of the night," Janik laughed. "Of course," and Michael gave Janik, Jess's hand. He walked towards his mother who had been standing there. "Why did you look so angry when you came in from the back?" Polly asked. Michael took a sip of his champagne and nodded toward the Blake siblings who had just walked in, "Greg over there said he's going to make a move on Jess. And that I'm not good enough for her." He started to get angry again. Polly annoyed, "You know thats not true right? Do you need me to tell Tommy?" Taking another sip, "No. Business is business. I am not going to ruin the deal. Besides, 30 days left with them here and then they are gone right?" Polly knew something was up from the beginning with these people, and now she just needed to keep an even better eye out now that Greg had made that comment.
The song changed and Michael turned towards the dance floor. Confused, he didn't see Jess or Janik. Polly seeing the panic on his face, "You stay here, Ill go look for them," and she walked off. "Why do you always look so angry?" He heard a voice behind him and turned around. Gina Blake standing there. "We have been here with your family for a week, why do you always look so angry?" "Not angry at all," he said scanning the room still for his girlfriend. "I mean I think it's cute. Your face when it looks like that," Gina flirted. Michael seeing where this was going turned, "Gina, our families are business partners. I don't think we should be talking like this ya know?" Gina stepped forward closer, "See thats the thing Michael, my father and brothers will be your business partners. I was just here for the trip. I don't get involved in my daddy's business. It's not for me," she said smiling. "Also notice, you said not to flirt with you because of business," as she got close to his ear, "Not because you have a girlfriend," and she walked off.
Polly made one more turn looking for Jessica and Janik. She rounded the corner and found him and Greg talking. She approached them, "Janik, there you are. I've been looking for you and Jessica. Where did she go?" "Grace needed help changing into a new dress and you know my daughter offered to lend a hand." Polly nodded her head, "What are you two talking about, hopefully not business; this should be a business free day." Janik laughed, "Ah Mr. Blake here and I were discussing mutual friends in New York. My son's run in the same crowd as Greg does." Greg chimed in, "I was telling Mr. Swavorski next time he's in New York we should all meet up," he smirked. Janik turned to Greg, "Yes! I think that would be wonderful idea making connections and seeing old friends," he turned to Polly and continued, "Michael needs to come with me. It will be a good way to introduce him to our family as well," and he winked. Greg's smile instantly disappeared hearing Michael's name. Janik knew was Greg was doing. He was not going to let this arrogant boy come in here and think he could just sweep his daughter off her feet and steal her. Polly noticing that Janik knew what was going on nodded and smiled. "Well then, hurry up, Greg the party is almost over for guest, the after party is for the family." Greg grimaced at her words.
Upstairs, Jessica zipped the back of Grace's dress up. She stepped in front of the mirror, "Who would have thought on my wedding day I would be wearing 2 dresses." She turned to Jessica, "Thank you for picking this one out, it is stunning." Grace was glowing. "You're the bride, you're allowed to do whatever you want even if that means changing into a second dress. Besides, this fits well for the after party," she laughed. "You might not even make it to the after party if Tommy has his way," she raised an eyebrow. "Oh hush, I could say the same thing about you and Michael. Let's go downstairs." The two made their way down the steps towards the dance floor. Jessica searched the room for Michael and her eyes landed on him and Gina. Gina leaned in close to his ear and said something and then walked away. She needed some air. This girl was now pissing her off. Her family welcomes her into her home for a wedding and she can't respect her. She grabbed two glasses of champagne and walked towards the front of her house. She sat on the steps chugging. Gaining courage after each swallow. She wasn't this broken girl anymore and she wasn't going to let Gina Blake bring her back to that broken feeling. She opened the door to go back inside and walked towards the room. "Sorry," she exclaimed as he bumped into someone. "Watch where you're going," the voice responded back. Gina. This was her moment, the alcohol rushed through her veins and she opened her mouth, "Listen here you little bitch. You think you can come here and you're American and everything should be handed to you on a silver platter? Guess what. That's not how it works here. News flash, I'm American and I don't act half as prissy as your ass does." Jessica got closer to her face, "Go near my boyfriend again, and I'd bet money on me that I would win." Gina stepped up, "Once this business deal is done. Michael will be mine. Considering he told me to stop flirting with him due to business, not because he had a girlfriend." Jess wouldn't let her see the pain that caused her. Polly needed some air and was walking towards the front door. In her view came Jessica and Gina. Both looking like they were ready to fight the other. Inches away from each other's face. "Jessica just who I was looking for," she yelled out, "My son is looking for you." Jessica turned to Gina one last time, "You're lucky Polly showed up here." And she walked away with Polly. "Nice work little sis. You're learning," came Greg out of the shadows. Gina had a smirk on her face thinking she won.
People started to be ushered out of the Swavorski home as Jess and Polly walked towards where the family was. She was pissed and drunk at this point, but wasn't going to let it ruin the way she wanted to end the night - her and Michael upstairs. Her and Polly hand in hand laughing out loud and tripping over their steps. Everyone turned and looked at them. Tommy laughed, "Alright everyone outside for more drinks, food, and cigars. Ending the night with just family." Michael began to walk and Jessica pulled him back, "Michael, lets go upstairs." He raised his eyebrow. "Right now?" he questioned. "Yes right now." Michael loved this carefree Jess. They rushed up the stairs towards her room. Michael couldn't contain himself, pushing her up against her bedroom door. Kissing her intensely. From below, Gina began to put on her jacket when she heard a noise and looked up. Greg came towards her looking up and seeing the view of Michael pushing Jess up against her bedroom door before watching her turn the knob and them disappearing. "Give it time little sis. They will start to unravel."
Michael could't stop himself. Swiftly taking his hand and unzipping her dress it fell to the floor. Jess threw his suit jacket off and started to undo his tie. His mouth went to her neck and she started to unbuckle his belt. She pushed his pants down. Their hands all over each other. Jess pushed Michael back onto a chair. "To family," Tommy lifted his glass up outside. Jessica got on top of Michael allowing him to slide himself in. "To family," everyone lifted their glasses. Michael moved his hands to her hips helping guide her to move up and down. "To love," Tommy said looking at Grace. Michael moved his hands from her hips to her back engulfing Jess's body to into his - up and down she moved faster and faster. "To loyalty and this family never turning on each other. Cheers!" Tommy and everyone else put their glasses up and drank. One final move and Jess and Michael had finished. Jess still sitting on his lap. Michael stood up and carried her to the bed. The moonlight shining on them both under the covers. Looking in her eyes, "I love you Jess and nothing will change that." All the anger and doubt he had been having from Greg was gone. "I love you too Michael." Jess on the other hand the alcohol started to wear off and she remembered the words Gina had said he told me to stop flirting with him due to business, not because he had a girlfriend.
