*Epilogue*

Two weeks since the horrific events of Arkham City and Joker's death, things weren't the same. Mia thought Arkham Asylum was bad, but Arkham City has changed everything. It made her fiancé feel worse. He is full of guilt. The deaths of Talia and Joker got to him. Bruce had been shutting everyone out. When Mia and Axel moved into his manor after a week of the holiday, he never said a word to them. Not even to Damian who moved in as well since his family is now dead. Alfred and Leslie had tried everything to help him, but nothing worked. Not even Barbara, Tim, or Dick had succeeded into talking to him. Bruce wouldn't budge.
Batman went out to rescue the cops from Harley Quinn one night. Mia had waited for him to return that night to give him the great news. But he never returned. The next night, he still hasn't come back. Mia and Alfred figured he was kept prisoner by Harley. She wanted revenge, believing that Batman killed Joker two weeks ago. If she were there to see what really happened... After two days, Robin went out to rescue both Batman and the cops. They barely made it out of there. Batman left without saying a word. Mia, Axel, and Alfred were thrilled to see him return, yet he needs some rest and have food in him.
After Mia gave him a day, she went to his Batcave with a small box. She frowned when she sees him in his bat suit, about to head out to Gotham.

"Bruce?"

"I'll be back." Batman spoke as he is about to get in his Batmobile. Mia made a look and ran in front of him.

"No!" She spoke. "You are not going anywhere tonight! You just got home! Stay with us! You've been avoiding us for too long now!" She argued. "Robin just saved your ass and Harley was taken away-"

"Mia, you can't stop me from-"

"You listen to me for once, Bruce!" Mia said. Her voice echoes in the cave, making bats fly around. "What happened in Arkham City wasn't your fault! You didn't kill Joker. He killed himself by doing that stupid stunt! I'm sorry about Talia, Bruce. I really am, but...it wasn't your fault she died."

"But they were right there, in front of my own eyes, dying." Batman said, turning away from her. "How could I not have known that was Clayface? If I've known, Talia would be alive today!" He walked towards his computer and slammed his fists on the keyboards. Mia placed the box down and stare at him.

"Bruce...do you...still love her?" She asked. Batman faces her. She looks hurt.

"I did love her. That was a long time ago." He said. "I just can't stand losing those who mean a lot to me. I don't want to lose anyone else." He grabbed her shoulders gently, looking into her eyes. "I was scared when you and Axel were in that city, Mia. I wouldn't forgive myself if you two-"

"Stop." Mia said. She removed his cowl to see his face. His healthy face. His skin is a normal tone, and his blue eyes are bright again since he drank half the cure. "I was scared too. But take it from me and the others who matter to you. It wasn't your fault about what happened. You can't save everyone, Bruce. Nobody is perfect. I see people die all the time too. Everyone dies. But I guess Joker doesn't deserve death. Talia deserved better. But don't feel guilty about something you couldn't do anything about." She told him sincerely. Bruce stared at her, not saying a word. Maybe she's right. Mia handed him the box. "I meant to give you this two days ago, but...you were gone. So, now is the time." She said. Bruce opened the box and see a pregnancy test inside. He looked at it carefully. Positive. His blue eyes went up to Mia's face, seeing her smile a bit.

"You...you're..." Bruce stuttered a bit. He couldn't believe it. He's going to be a father. Again.

"Surprise." Mia said, touching her stomach. Bruce pulled her close to him and he gave her a passionate kiss. Mia smiled in the kiss, cupping the side of his face. "What do you think?" She asked.

"I don't know what to say, but...I'm thrilled." Bruce replied. His hand went down to her stomach. This is his second child since Damian was his first. But this time, he will be there for this one.

"Oh Bruce. I'm so happy to be a mom again." Mia said, hugging him. Bruce then realizes that they have to get married. He feels guilty for shutting her and the others out for two weeks, now he will make it up to them. The wedding will happen soon.

After three weeks, the wedding at Wayne Manor has happened. Close friends and a few guests have arrived to see the couple getting married. Bruce has been asked why the wedding was set early until he announced that Mia is pregnant. Jim gave the newlyweds congratulations along with Cash and his family.
Mia is in her thin white wedding dress, wearing the pearl necklace as promised, and white earrings. Bruce is in his tux with a red tie, wearing a silver ring. The two couldn't be any happier. Even Mia's family came to Gotham to see their daughter wed. Mia was happy to see them. Her adoptive parents, Joanna and Phil, were once again relieved to see her after the events of Arkham City. Emmet teased Mia about living in Gotham to be part of the action. If he knew the true terror Mia was in Arkham City, he wouldn't be laughing.
Bruce sat by the table and watch his wife sitting next to her parents, laughing with them. The man smiled when he sees Joanna place her hand over Mia's stomach, excited for the new baby.

"So, you are now my stepdad, huh?" Axel asked, coming over to sit next to Bruce. He just turned fourteen days ago. Bruce turned to him.

"Officially. But, you can still call me Bruce if you like. I understand."

"Well, you've been like a second father to me since the beginning." Axel said. "Thanks again for everything. And saving me from the bird who couldn't fly." Bruce smirked.

"You've been like a son to me since then too. And soon, you're going to be a big brother. You think you can handle it?" He asked, sitting next to him.

"I guess it won't be so bad." Axel said with a shrug. "Think you need a bigger cave?"

"Funny." Bruce said with a playful sneer. The boy laughed a bit. Bruce turned to see Kate talking to Cash and Jim in her black dress. She noticed her cousin looking at her, and she smiled while raising a glass to him. Bruce gave her a nod before getting up.
When it was time for the newlyweds to head off to the small cruise ship to take them to the island for their honeymoon, Mia threw her bouquet of white roses at the women who reached for it, but the bouquet landed on Barbara's lap, which caught her by surprise. Coincidentally, Tim had caught a garter. They will be the next ones to be married one day, even though they are dating. Bruce gave Tim a wink before getting in the back seat with Mia as Alfred will drive them to the docks. Robin and Oracle will be taking care of Gotham for a week as Nightwing will be called if needed. Axel will be remained in the manor with Alfred and Damian, helping them behind the scenes with Oracle. Damian promised both his father and new stepmother that he won't go out and kill people since he was taken in after Arkham City.
Bruce and Mia will never be apart again. And in nine months, they will have a new child. Right now, they will go to their honeymoon. No crime fighting, no death, just peace and happiness for a week. Something Bruce needs in life. He prayed nothing could get in a way for his happiness. He won't let anything or anyone crush it.
