On a plane, 13-year-old Faith Booth was flying to spend the summer in England. Accompanying her were her best friends, Japanese-American, 'Ginger Chirohiro', Haitian-American, 'Nadine Lyndon', and 'Mexican-American' Jessie Gomez. During the flight, Ginger was listening to some Backstreet Boys music on her CD player, Nadine was reading a travel guide to England, and Jessie was doing karate crossword puzzles. "Why did we have to go to England with you, Faith?" asked Jessie.

"Because Ginger is having bullying issues, Nadine thought that going to England would be good for her college resume, and you heard of this crazy international karate competition and wanted to go."

"Si." replied Jessie, "This year it's in England.

"Easy, Jess." replied Nadine, "We're about to land."

"Who will we be meeting again?" asked Ginger, "I just hope it's not anyone mean."

"We're meeting my parents butler and my cousin there." "Haven't seen Dorothy since we were five. We never really got along because of our differences. I'm more of the wild child, while she's nothing but posh and perfect.

At Heathrow Airport, a blond and beautiful girl in white clothes was listening to some Backstreet Boys music and admiring a poster of Nick Carter. A middle-aged man in a suit removed her headphones and said, "Madame, your cousin is about to arrive soon."

"Yeah, yeah, 'Terrance'." growled the blonde girl, "I don't get why my parents want her to stay with me for the summer."

"Because your moms are sisters and your Aunt Alayna thought that it'll be a good idea for Faith to learn about her British roots."

"Whatever." groaned Dorothy.

Terrance got out the sign for Faith and her friends, Faith, Ginger, Nadine, and Jessie walked into the airport with their luggage and spotted the sign. Closely, Faith started to remember Terrance as The Hart's butler, "Wonderful to see you again, Faith." greeted Terrance, "And who is this entourage you brought."

"These are my best friends, 'Ginger', 'Nadine' and 'Jessie." explained Faith, "They decided to spend the summer in England too."

"Si." "Because all four of us have to stick together."

"Not too much." "Spending time with your friends all the time can lead to craziness."

"Chaps?" growled Dorothy, "Don't you ever mention anything about chaps!"

"That's British for, 'Friends' is it?" asked Nadine, "Everyone has to have friends."

"Not me." Dorothy replied, "I am never making friends again, ever!"

"Madame swore off making friends after her 'incident' last October." Terrance explained to the girls, "Never liked them anyway, they were a bunch of snobs."

At the parking lot, they met a middle-aged man with brown hair and a green suit, "These are the girls who'll be staying for the summer." he growled, "This is going to be messy."

"Now, now, 'Noel'." Terrance smiled, "Winston did say that they'll be sharing a room."

"That's good." Noel sighed with relief, "Because I don't want any smelly socks roaming around Hart Castle."

"That's 'Noel'." explained Terrance "He's the valet/chauffer here. I drive too every now and again, but mostly he'll drive for Donovan."

"Oh yeah." recalled Faith, "Dorothy little brother. Last time I was he was only a baby."

An hour later, they arrived at an astonishing castle "Your mom wasn't kidding!" exclaimed Ginger, "Hart Castle is beautiful."

"This is like a fairytale." commented Nadine.

"Now this is the life." Sighed Jessie, "Limousine rides, fancy food, and big castle."

"Yeah." Groaned Faith, "Where they turn you into stuck up snobs."

At the front of the castle, everyone hopped out of the limo and Noel carried the bags with red stains on them, much to his dismay, "What did you put on these suitcases, ketchup?" he asked repulsively

"Yes." Faith answered, "My dad runs a local restaurant in Orlando called, 'The Tiki Hut'. Plus we had hashbrowns with extra ketchup on the flight here."

"Orlando?" Dorothy asked in excitement, "You know The Backstreet Boys?"

"No" Ginger answered sadly, "But we do see them on TV. In fact I was listening to their songs on the way here."

"No way." Growled Dorothy, "Their my favorite singing group, I especially like Nick Carter, he's such a dreamboat."

While Ginger, Nadine, Jessie and Dorothy were talking and chatting about boy bands, Faith turned her head and picked up her guitar case, "Come on, Faith." smiled Terrance, "Give Dorothy a chance."

Faith shook her head, "I would rather play Polkapalooza than befriend Dorothy. We have nothing in common."

"Just because you don't like the same things as Dorothy." advised Terrance, "Doesn't mean you can't be friends."

Inside the castle, an overweight man with brown hair and a lovely woman with blonde hair were delighted by their niece's appearance, "Look at you, Faith." Smiled Winston, "Your all grown up."

"Hey Uncle Winston." Groaned Faith, "Hey Aunt Mckenzie."

"Look at her, Winny." Smiled Aunt Mckenzie, "She remembers us. Last time I saw her in person," "She was wearing trousers that strap."

"Their called 'overalls'." corrected Faith.

Annoyed, Faith took her bags and headed upstairs, "What is wrong with Faith?" asked Uncle Winston,

"Today is her birthday?" answered Mckenzie, "My big sister, 'Alayna' informed me of her 13th birthday and gave me a few party tips to make her feel she's in Orlando, again.

"That big ol' Thirteen." Uncle Winston smiled, "I remember my thirteenth birthday. Though it all went downhill after a crazy clown came up and popped balloons into my ears, couldn't hear right for a month."

Faith arrived in the old handmaiden's room, where she and her friends will be staying for the summer. Faith unpacked and put away her clothes, got out her guitar, and started playing, 'A Kona Hema O Ka Lani'. "What kind of song is that?" shouted a little boys voice from the door.

It was Dorothy's little brother, 'Donovan' he had short blond hair, freckles, and was dressed like a tennis player, "Hello, Donovan." growled Faith, "Always being a bit of a troublemaker like you were as a baby. You got me in trouble while I was getting cookies from the cookie jar."

"Mother said that you shouldn't have biscuits before dinner." Donovan replied rudely, "All I did is scream. In fact, the only thing I remembered as a baby is wailing and getting you in trouble. What is that song your playing anyway?"

"A Kona Hema O Ka Lani'" Faith answered, "In Hawaiian, that means, 'South Of The Heavens'. My dad suggested that if I ever get homesick, I'd play a guitar version of this."

"Donovan." Asked the maiden, 'Belen' as she was carrying Dorothy's baby sister, 'Joanna', "Shouldn't you be practicing your piano?"

"Belen" shouted Donovan, "It's summer, and I don't need learning right now?"

"Still." Belen replied, "You want to be in the Royal Academy when you're older."

"That's where Elton John went to school." recalled Faith; "I listen to him on the radio."

After Donovan left to practice his piano, Belen came up to Faith, "Young Faith." she recalled, "It's been a long time."

"Your Dorothy's maid, 'Belen'." Faith recalled, "And this must be Aunt Mckenzie's newest edition, 'Joanna'."

"Ga ga!" shouted Joanna.

"She's only an infant." said Belen, "Normally I take care of her while your aunt and uncle work at their insurance company."

"Yeah." Faith recalled, "Can't believe that Mom has insurance there."

"Why don't you join us for lunch." suggested Belen, "I'm making my famous fish and chips."

Not wanting to go hungry on her first day, Faith decided to join them for lunch.

After lunch, at another part of a castle, Faith was feeling glum because she gets to spend the summer with her maternal side of her family and it's her first birthday outside Orlando. "This is the worst birthday/summer ever!"

Just then, Faith heard a call that sounded like an animal. Quickly, she rushed over to the side of the castle, only to find a tan griffin with blue eyes, and her tail stuck on a rock. Faith was scared, but knew that she had to help the small griffin. With all of her might, Faith removed the large rock from her tail. The griffin thought that Faith was going to hurt her, so she bit her by the arm, "Ouch!" shouted Faith.

"Don't you dare try to hurt me!" shouted the griffin.

Faith was surprised because she never saw a talking griffin before, "You can talk!"

The griffin looked into Faith's eyes and nodded her head "My name is, 'Selah'" griffin "Sorry about before, I'm a traveller from the Griffin Dimension hoping to seek the Heskelter Warriors. I sometimes bite people who tried to attack me."

Faith thought the name, 'Heskelter' sounded familiar but she probably think about it later, now she has to heal her little injury.

Suddenly, Faith started to feel a bit warmer. She knew that summer is supposed to be hot, but not as hot as she felt. From her hand, she made a ball of fire. She tossed the ball of fire and Selah controlled it with her Fire Vision and made it disappeared. "Did I forget to mention that I study magic?" asked Selah, "I've been secretly studying magic that goes into the human world. If they ever find out where I am, I'll be in the dungeon forever."

Faith told her that she needs to be somewhere so they won't get caught by Donovan nor her aunt and uncle, "Can you do whatever you did to get to my world, to the handmaiden's room?" she asked.

"You betta-roo." Selah replied as she drew a circle around them and went through the portal.

XxoxX

Meanwhile, in the handmaiden's room, Ginger, Nadine, and Jessie were finished unpacking their stuff and looking around the place. Nadine found a seashell, "Look at this cute little shell," Nadine as she pressed it against her ear.

"My mom collects shells." Dorothy replied, "You should see the one she got at The White Cliffs of Dover."

From the ground, Faith and Selah popped out of the portal, much to her friends and cousin's surprise, "Faith!" shouted Ginger as she helped Faith up, "What happened?"

"This crazy little griffin transported me here." Faith explained.

"A real griffin?" asked Nadine, "Are you sure it's not a prank, remember, you were a master of pranks on April Fool's Day at Sally Ride Middle School."

"Yeah." recalled Faith, "And Miss. Chirohiro gave me a homemade trophy that she made from her adult arts and craft lectures at the rec center."

"You know my mom." chuckled Ginger, "She loves making prizes that are from the heart."

"It's not a practical joke girls." Selah corrected, "I am Selah of the Heskelter Tribe. I came here to find the Heskelter Warriors to protect my tribe. I unintentionally bit your friend here and for some reason, I can sense that she is a warrior."

"The name's Faith by the way." Faith replied.

From her fiery breath, Selah summoned a pin and gave it to Faith. "So, Faith?" she asked, "Are you up for it?"

"I'll be your superhero warrior." Faith replied, "If you make my best friends supers too."

Selah told her that she sensed that they're Heskelter Warriors too. From her breath, she summoned for more pins and the four other girls placed them on. Selah could sense Ginger and her kindness, Nadine's high intelligence, Jessie's bravery, and Dorothy's belief in love. "Wait, wait wait?!" Faith asked, "My cousin, a Heskelter warrior."

"Of course." Selah replied, "Plus she's super pretty."

"I am princess of the castle." Dorothy replied, "Plus I've been getting along really well with your friends since they came here. Much better than those Brass Monkeys."

"Your stealing my friends are you?" asked Faith, "I've known them since we were little girls, and I'm not letting any spoiled British doppelganger steal them from me."

"Doppelganger?" asked Dorothy as her hands started to feel cold, "Our moms are sisters, if they find out about this we're so grounded forever."

"Girls stop!" shouted Nadine as water shot from her hand.

Everyone was surprised by their new powers. "You wield the power of the mermaid, meaning you can control water."

"Yeah well, " Ginger said nervously as she turned invisible, "This is a big change for us."

"You wield the power of the fairy." Selah explained, "The centaur warrior has powerful kicking, hearing and archery skills."

"What about me?" Dorothy asked.

"As for you" Selah said to Dorothy, "You wield the power of the ice phoenix."

"She sure is an ice queen." joked Jeesie as she started hearing trouble nearby.

Not only Jessie could hear danger, their pins glew like crazy. Jessie could hear from a distance, a mysterious villain known as Millionhairs robbing a hairspray convention, "Selah," she whispered, "Can you get us to the hairspray convention?"

"I can do that." answered Selah as she made a portal underneath them, summoning them to the hairspray convention in London.

XxoxX

Everyone from the London Convention Center was fleeing from a villainess in green and purple clothes and medium length red hair. Behind her was a timid henchman "Look at here, Hair N'Tairs." she smiled with an evil grin, "A group of patrons fleeing for their lives."

"They are fleeing for safety," advised Hair N'Tairs

But the villainess ignored him.

Using her prehensile hair, she picked up some hairspray and tossed it towards a security guard, "Madame." asked Hair N'Tairs, "Are you sure we should be doing this."

"Quiet Hair N'Tairs" she shouted, "Without this hairspray, I won't make enough poisonous gas to toxin the city's atmosphere."

"That's too bad." shouted Nadine from behind, "Air pollution is a big issue today."

"Look at here Hair N'Tairs." she smiled, "Little girls."

"Faith?" Ginger asked nervously, "What should we do now?"

Looking at her pin, Faith decided that they should transform.

With a quick flash, Faith, Ginger, Nadine, Jessie, and Dorothy were astonishing outfits similar to their respective magical creatures, "Look at me." wowed Dorothy, "I look smashing in this lovely couture."

"That's right." Selah replied, "And those masks your wearing hide your identity from the public."

"But it didn't hide from this Millionhairs lady." Nadine replied as she pointed to a hair-raising Millionhairs.

Just as she was about to grab them, Ginger got them to another area, within three seconds, "Super Speed?" asked Ginger, "I do remember reading in fairytale books that fairies are fast on their wings.

"Speaking of wings." Jessie pointed out, "Your off the ground."

Thinking the same thing about griffins and phoenixes, Faith and Dorothy did the same thing, "Look at us." Ginger smiled, "We're flying!"

"But what about us." asked Jessie.

"This is our first battle." Nadine replied, "We can learn about our new powers as we fight off Millionhairs and her cohort."

Using a 360-degree vision, Faith said, "You mean cohorts!"

Behind Millionhairs and Hair N'Tairs were a French villainess, a steampunk villainess, a magician villain, and a buff biker villain, "Hello, Ladies." Millionhairs greeted with an evil grin, "I like you to meet my cohorts, 'Coiffure Chaos', 'Lock Keys', 'Strand Sam', Whisker Man, and the weak one is, 'Hair N'Tairs.

'Madame, nous devons vaincre ces gamins et ce petit lion." Coiffure Chaos spoke in French.

"Nad." Faith replied, "You know French right? What is she saying?"

"I'm up to the medium level and this one is a bit on the hard level." replied Nadine, "She's saying, 'Ma'am, we must vanquish those brats and that little lion of there's.'"

"Lion?" growled Selah, "Do you, don't you want me to scratch you?"

"No" Coiffure shouted in a weak tone.

"I'll handle Madame Coward." suggested Nadine, "Faith will handle Millionhairs, Jess will handle Locksmith Lady and The Big Guy Bozo, Ginger will handle the magician, and Dorothy will handle the little one."

Dorothy was facing up Hair N'Tairs with her ballet; "I don't really fight girls." admitted Hair N'Tairs.

"Really?" Dorothy replied, "Because I have delicate hands and a strong smell. You've really been using too much hairspray."

From her hands, Dorothy sent out numerous ice diamonds, that made Hair N'Tairs bounce like crazy, "I also have sensitive feet!" he whined.

Ginger was up against Strand Sam, who had a long neckerchief rope waiting for her, "Time for you to disappear, Lass." he said in a Scottish accent.

"Disappear" Ginger, said, "That's it."

Quickly, Ginger turned invisible and blew a kiss, only for the neckerchiefs to turn into, "Fairy dust." she whispered, "I like it."

Nadine was up against Coiffure Chaos, "Regardez ici, une sirène qui ne fait pas partie de ce monde. Retournez dans les grottes auxquelles vous appartenez.(Look at here, a mermaid not part of this world. Go back to the grottos where you belong.)" she said as she kicked Nadine.

Nadine was so furious that she made a tidalwave of water, "Mes cheveux!(My hair!)" whined Coiffure Chaos.

"Sounds like you have a bad hair day!" suggested Nadine.

Jessie was up against Lock Keys and Whisker Man, much to her laughter, "Whisker Man!" she shucked, "Why do they call you that?"

"Because my husband's beard is the strongest hair you'll ever face" explained Lock Keys, "Show em!"

Using his powerful beard, she pushed Jessie to the side, "Now your gonna get it." shouted Jessie as she did supersonic kicking towards them, then she grabbed a bow and arrow from the Cupid's Spray booth and pinned them down, "Well what do you know, Sagittarius power."

In the middle of the expo, Faith was up against Milllionhairs, "Why bother little girl?" Millionhairs asked in an evil grin, "Your nothing but friendless and lame."

"Your wrong." corrected Faith as she tossed fire towards her, "I do have friends, even though that we don't like the same things sometimes, we still care."

Remembering the ketchup trouble Noel had earlier, she "My hair!" shouted Millionhairs as she pressed one of her earrings, "You twits, we must retreat! That girl has ruined my lovely hair."

"Parle pour toi!(Speak for yourself)" shouted Coiffure Chaos as she and the rest of Millionhairs' goons came in feeling traumatized by their antics.

"Let's get a hair appointment!" Millionhairs ordered as they barged out in horror.

Ginger, Nadine, Jessie and Dorothy caught up, "Are you alright?" asked Dorothy.

Faith couldn't believe her eyes, her cousin actually cared about her, "Why are you helping me up?" asked Faith.

"Once a Seabrooke, always a Seabrooke." smiled Dorothy, "Plus our maternal grandfather would've wanted us to work together, like sisters and cousins."

XxoxX

Later back at Hart Castle, the five girls returned back. Remembering from the comics she brought, Faith pressed her pin and changed back to normal. The others did the same thing. "Smashing!" said Selah, "How in Flaming Slides did you know how to change back?"

"I read a lot of comics and watch a lot of superhero shows." Faith answered.

Faith showed Selah some of her comic books, "Princess Dynamite Patrol, Horsemen, Captain Sun?" Selah asked, "Those must be some kind of warriors."

"And to make sure no one knows what we're doing," Faith replied, "We're going to need super-names."

Thinking quickly, Jessie thought up something, "Rubies are red, Azul is the word for blue, emeralds are green, and some people do see diamonds as white." Jessie recalled, "Ginger will be, 'Rubyhane', Nadine will be, 'Merazul', I'll be, 'Centauremerald', and Dorothy will be, 'Diamondnix'.

"What about you, Faith?" asked Selah, "What are you going to be?"

"Griffin Girl." answered Faith, "I was bitten by a griffin and I am a girl."

"I like it." Selah replied, "For now I should keep The Heskelter Warriors secret from the griffins in my dimension."

"We're also going to need a better name than Heskelter Warriors." suggested Nadine, "It's too 60s."

"How bout Griff Gals." suggested Dorothy, "We're like the New Millennium Spice Girls."

Everyone agreed to the name.

With a knock on the door, Faith opened the door and Terrance blindfolded her. Selah thought that she was being kidnap, but Ginger told her quietly that heir probably taking Faith to a surprise. Selah didn't want to get caught while going to the party, so she made a symbol on the ground, breathed fire and made herself invisible, "Don't worry about me girls." she said calmly, "This stuff wears off in two hours."

XxoxX

In the ballroom, Terrance removed the blindfold from Faith and everyone shouted, "Happy Birthday, Faith!"

Faith was surprised because they get to bring her birthday to England. All around the ballroom, it was used with girly leftover decorations and food like a real middle class birthday party. "This may be a bit girly." admitted Faith, "But I can learn from being a Seabrooke."

Behind her, Ginger, Nadine, Jessie, and Dorothy came out with presents. "I had to get a little something from my closet and put it in a leftover present bag."

"No way." Faith replied, "I reuse present bags too, a little tip I learned from Admiral Earth and The Environment Kids."

"You watch that show?" Dorothy asked, "I've seen it sometimes too."

Winston and McKenzie were glad that their niece and daughter were finally getting along. Donovan on the other hand wasn't thrilled about his older sister and cousin being friends now, "Ba Ba!" shouted Joanna.

"Easy, Sweetie." Aunt McKenzie said, "It's Faith's 13th birthday and your only Ten-Months-Old."

Instead of whining like normal babies, Joanna smiled and clapped. Winston and Mckenzie cooed at baby Joanna's clapping.

One by one, Faith's opened the presents from her friends. She got a from Ginger new black sparkly guitar picks in place of her old ones, a beach towel of an oyster from Nadine in case their going to the beach, the latest Princess Dynamite Patrol book from Jessie, and from Dorothy, a pair of shades "I use to wear these shades when I go to the beach," Dorothy explained, "I figure you would look good in it."

Faith placed them on and said, "I like them."

Throughout the evening, they celebrated Faith's birthday. Selah secretly got up to some alphabet soup, took a sip and liked it. Remembering that the invisibility spell wears off in two hours, she flew off before she got caught.

Faith may have had a rocky start, but had a feeling she's going to have a great summer in England.

The End.
