Dean slept fitfully most nights after the incident between Tyler and his brother. Or more accurately, after Sam's provocation of Tyler after finding out her heritage. He didn't know how to mend the gap that had grown overnight between them. Three months. Three months of no contact with Tyler at all. Whatever snippets of information he learned, he got from Castiel. And the angel was reluctant to share, having been forced to take sides.

Tyler wanted nothing to do with the Winchesters any more, that much was clear to Dean. Not after Sam called her monster. Dean still wanted to punch him in the face for that, but he kept his cool. Alienating Sam would do him no good either. His younger brother hardly spoke to him as it were, accusing him of standing up for Tyler but not for him.

Dean's phone vibrated, causing him to wake fully. He debated turning over and going back to sleep again, but the phone kept buzzing. He sighed and flipped it open. He frowned at the message his tired eyes slowly unveiled. She wanted to meet.

Tyler groaned as she stretched and wiped her dirty fingers on the dirty rag Benny had left for her on the porch. Her truck had broken down again, and it looked like neither she nor the vampire was going to fix it. Castile had taken a look too, mostly for their benefit, because he knew absolutely nothing about cars.

"We're going!" it sounded from behind her. She turned around and was rewarded by the smiles of the two men she shared her house with. Castiel was dressed in a yellow raincoat and looked absolutely adorable. I still can't believe Benny actually roped Castiel into going on a fishing trip.

"Got your rods?"

"Yup."

"Your nets and bait?"

"That too."

"Food enough to last you the week?"

"Yes, mom…" Benny said. "We're grown men, you know? And real powerful ones at that."

Tyler shrugged and replied, "Just want to make sure you don't come back crying, is all."

Castiel grinned and wagged his index finger at her. "I'm going to catch the biggest fish there is in the lake. You're gonna want to mount it on the wall, that's how impressed you'll be."

"Sha," said Tyler. "Highly doubt it. But I'll not crush your dreams," she said as she clapped both men on the shoulders. "Now, get going. It's an awful long walk." She watched them walk off into the distance, then walked back inside the house. She needed a long and hot bath. Time to relax.

The doorbell ringing woke her from her unintended nap and for a moment she was glad for it, because she didn't drown in her sleep. Then she was annoyed, because god damn it! Hadn't they assured her they were good to go? She wondered if she should just ignore it, but the doorbell rang again, insistently. Ugh. "All right, all right, I'm coming."

She dressed quickly, thundered downstairs, and threw open the door, intending to chew out Benny and Castiel, when she was suddenly faced by someone she hadn't dared think about for a long time.

Dean watched puzzlement appear on Tyler's face, and frowned. Did she forget? Her mouth opened as if to speak, but then she closed it again and cocked her head. Dean decided to dissolve the tension as quickly as he could, and spoke before she could. "Hey," he said. "Long time no see."

"Hi," she said after a pause. "W- what are you doing here?"

Dean's brow furrowed. "Did you forget?"

"Forget what?"

"The meeting…"

Tyler's face clearly showed that she had no idea what he was talking about. What the? OH, no….Castiel, I'm going to kill you. He took out his phone, looked up the last text she sent him and showed it to her. She read the text in silence, then grimaced.

"I'm going to kill Benny," she said. Wait, what? It was Benny? Dean hadn't thought the vampire cared enough, about him at least, to swipe her phone, fake a message to Dean that she needed his help, and then apparently get the hell out of dodge.

"Well," he said, "I'm here now. We might as well talk."

"Is that right?" Tyler responded, crossing her arms. Dean sighed. "Tyler, please. Let's try to fix this. At least between us, if not between you and Sam."

Tyler watched at him with an unidentifiable look on her face, then gestured for him to come in.
