Angel went bolting out the front door when he saw Kai outside and I sighed at what he was doing. He promised he'd be on his best behavior while we were out. I could see my sister visibly frown while Nix just whistled. I guess that leaves me to be the mediator tonight. I told Kai I would but I was hoping I wouldn't have to. I decided to go outside myself.

"Oh my gosh, it's sooooo good to see you" Angel greeted Kai. I took the time to notice Haxorus with him, assuming it was his roommate. "And who are you?" Angel looked to the Haxorus. The dragon visibly jumped at the quick greeting and the fact Angel turned his attention to him.

"I'm Nexus, a transfer from Kalos" The dragon looked caught off guard.

"Angel, let's not jump the new students" I grabbed one of his ribbon feelers, hard.

"Ow! Luna, no need to be rough!" Angel complained. I started to drag him inside with the others following behind me. I noticed Nexus whispered something to Kai but I didn't question. As long as he has a guy friend I can't ask much of him. We finally made it inside and I sat Angel down in the booth with our friends.

"Everyone Kai is here!" We all cheer. "He also brought a guest," I turned so I could let him speak.

"Hi I'm Nexus, Kai's roommate and a part of the elite class" all the girls cheer besides Nix, which I expect. Angel just looked the guy up and down and gave a quizzical look. Nexus and Kai sat down at the booth with us. Everyone went into their own conversations. Nexus caught the attention of Angel and he started to ask a lot of questions. Kai started updating Pollon on how class is being an elite. I decided to listen and he explained how it has more power than the student council, which fits the reform I had passed before school ended last semester. I myself am still student council president yet I couldn't make myself an elite. The waitress came around and asked us what we wanted and we all ordered. Not too long after she came back with our drinks, I got a refreshing Pinap juice and took a long sip of the drink, and let out a delightful sigh. Looking around the table and having Angel and Kai in the same place together without them fighting is wonderful. Though they were on opposite ends of each other.

"Nix, what do you expect from this year?" I asked the girl next to me whom I trust the most in this world.

"I want something exciting, I want something I could never forget" Nix sighed while sipping Coba juice. I giggled a bit as I pulled up my Orb screen.

"I think you'll enjoy what this year will have to offer," I said looking at our list of events. I then started to listen in on the others' conversations.

"Your Luke Angel. You have aspirations of being a contest star and follow Ashley Ribbon on all socials. Unlike her, you don't have much ability in fighting and use your mouth as a weapon" I heard Nexus give an explanation on Angel and was astounded by how correct he was. Angel just played it off with a smile but sure enough, I know he wasn't happy. He went on and said all profiles for everyone at the table except Kai, to which he said he already said Kai's to him when they met. Kai just had a blank face so I couldn't tell if he was lying or not. Not too soon later our pizzas came out and everyone started to feast like monsters. We had a few leftovers and Nexus opted to take them back to his room.

"Before we all depart I have a question for you Nexus" Angel spoke up reading the room knowing everyone was preparing to go. That's when I saw Kai's face visibly shift from one of joy to one of shame.

"Go ahead, I'm an open book" Nexus gave him a smile.

"Has Kai told you about himself? After all, you two are roommates" Angel wore a smirk and I frowned at what he was doing. Angel isn't much of a fighter but he is good at social manipulation.

"No, and if he wanted to, he would do so. I'm not going to press into personal affairs and if we reach that point I would trust him with mine" Nexus sounded dead serious. Such stern words from a dangerous dragon for once his demeanor matches his words. Kai's expression changed again to one of shock as if he was expecting a different reaction. I hope he understands he can trust other pokemon, please open your heart.

"Anyway thanks for joining me everyone but I have a meeting with the dean soon and have to run" I stood up making sure everything was in order and gave everyone a scapegoat out of the awkward situation.

~Kai's~

We made it back to our dorm not too soon after eating our dinner. Nexus walked away with a whole leftover pie. It was mushrooms and sausage, my favorite pizza. He keeps having things that are my favorite and no one cares to remember what I like, not even my sister. It's like he's mind fucking me and I hate it. Not only that but he lied about saying he had a profile on me and my aspirations. What game is he playing?

"Kai, I was thinking we could play games together tonight or maybe watch a movie" The sound of him putting the pizza box on the coffee table snapped me out of my trance. He was sitting on our couch and had such a comfortable and inviting look. I wanted to cuddle up next to him. No, I can't if I do anything, it'll bite me in the ass. I don't want anything like that to happen again. I start walking to my room as images of Zeek flash in my head.

"I think I'll have to pass on the invitation but maybe next time" I gave him a smile and continued to my room and closed the door. I didn't even give him time to respond. I didn't turn on the lights. I stayed in the dark where I felt comfortable and couldn't see myself. Another image flashes in my head.

'Zeek if you can keep a secret let me show you,' those words left my mouth. I remember clearly. I don't want to if I do. I felt hot in my own fur and I could tell the temperature of my room was rising. The next sight that flashes by is Zeek shoved into the wall and pinned down by my father. Then another image this time of Ace, Angel, and my father. My father held me limply by my wrist and those two were staring at me laughing.

'How weak, funny enough he has a collection of plushies and collars hidden like a submissive shit' those words came from Ace and I remember my father gripping harder.

'I thought we talked about this,' my father's voice was a growl. No, no, no, no! I need to calm down. If I don't I'll melt everything in this room. I ran to my closet and rushed to grab a spiked collar and put it on. Its tag said 'Good Boy.' I decided to lay on my heat rock curled up crying remembering what happens when I get close to others. Both them and I get hurt, but the worst part is my father gets involved and I don't want to do that to another pokemon. I'm doing my best to move forward, but my memory won't let me move forward.

"Nexus I'm sorry, I can't get close to you" I whispered to myself. I don't know when but at some point I passed out.

~Nexus's~

Why does he keep rejecting me? All I want is to be your friend again. He obviously doesn't remember me which is beneficial in us rekindling our friendship from when we were kids. He was so happy when we were younger, what happened in the last eight years for you to be distant? Even to those who care about you. Behind his eyes, I can tell he is hiding a lot of mental pain. Whenever someone mentions friends his eyes shift from anyone's gaze, he wanted to join me but the hesitation and the 'no' that followed told me something was wrong. I then followed him to his room and he didn't close the door all the way. I peeked in and he was standing there, the moonlight illuminating the room enough for me to see the tears rolling down his eyes while he was lying on his rock. The room was really hot, I guess this happens when his emotions aren't in check. Though, him laying down like this he still looks cute from when we were young

"Nexus I'm sorry, I can't get close to you" he whispered but with no noise in the room, I could hear him clear as day. He can't be serious. I won't give up, at least not till you remember me.

I decided to call it a night myself and put the pizza box in the fridge for another night and went to my room. I turned on the lights to be met with my bedroom. It was simple here, I had a gaming PC setup with my favorite games being from the Persona series. I had a poster of the Persona protagonists from the 25th anniversary. I have some framed photos of me and my parents as well as my older sister. Even a picture from when Kai and I used to play together. I then have my textbooks on pokemon knowledge as well as anatomy. I then went to my desk drawer and opened it and it was full of letters I had never sent. Letters to Kai asking when we could see each other again and how I miss playing together. Probably twenty letters in there. Not to mention the one I wrote when I learned he was my roommate. I sighed. I should study up on the anatomy of a Lycanroc before bed, I have a match with Fang tomorrow. I inject my Orb with my computer database and it says it'll take five hours to upload. As expected, the data I've accumulated on all pokemon species as well as prior known students. I have to always keep my data up to date and when I'm not studying, I make sure to update my databases.

As I got ready the following morning since it was the weekend I decided to make both Kai and me breakfast which was steak and eggs. I decided to make pancakes since I remembered he loved them when we were younger. When the food was ready I knocked on the door.

"Kai I made breakfast, I left it in the microwave for when you're ready" I got no response and I could hear a little bit of shuffling in the room. So I wasn't too worried. However, it was already eleven in the morning and he wasn't up. "I'll be heading out soon for my match with Fang if you want to watch. I was notified it will be held in the Evergreen stadium or you could watch the live stream from your Orb" I knocked again. Yet no response. I sighed and went to eat the rest of my food by myself in the dining room we had. It had a nice view of campus and yet I'm looking at it with no one. After I finished eating I left and made sure to lock the door behind me. On my way to the stadium, I pulled up my Orb screen to look over my notes. Reviewing my data, Fang didn't start showing his more ferocious side until a year ago, since the dusk form is a mix of midday and midnight. Which one is calm and the other is malicious? His teacher all mentioned he was nice and always sweet even after a battle he'd help his opponent, but after a summer event he went to before his Sophomore he was just reckless and brutal in fights and in personality. I wonder what happened? I then froze feeling like I was being watched. Just like when Kai and I first met Fang outside of class. I continued walking towards the stadium. When I made it to the stadium on the outside it showed holographic of both Fang and me as well as a time when our fight would take place.

"If I remember correctly after reading the student handbook. All matches that are outside of tournaments are private unless of course, you had your friends there or other pokemon who pass by" I recited to myself in shock.

"Normally that is correct, but since this is a match between elites there is a special rule" I jumped at the sound of my teacher's voice. I didn't even hear his steps to approach me. I glared looking at Tailside.

"What would that special rule be?" I asked through gritted teeth.

"The whole school is allowed to watch, with us having elite students it wouldn't be fair just to hide them away. Think of this as a way to demonstrate the power of an elite" all of this came out of his mouth nonchalantly. I couldn't help but be angry at him. Students here may not know why the summer festival tournament got postponed a week, but I do. It's because of the Eevee standing in front of me.

"I have a question ," I asked but then he sent me a quick glare before his expression changed to a calm one.

"If I were you I'd get inside" he then walked off. I scoffed as I went towards the evergreen stadium locker room to put my things away and walked out on the field.

(Battle - Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country)A/N: Nexus's Theme

Fang was already on the field waiting for me and from an estimate, there were a good five hundred students in the crowd. Didn't expect this many would be here on a Saturday.

"You're here, I didn't expect you to show" he snarled.

"What gave you that impression?" I chuckled a bit.

"You are always with that damn Flareon, but I'm not here to talk let's have a battle" he looked at me, and the whole time his eyes were red.

"Hello everyone, I'm t-today's ref-feree. I'm Aristotle and I'm a teaching assistant here. For today's match Items are allowed, me-eaning you can use mega st-stones, or Z-crystals, but not both" It was a Garchomp that was our referee but he had fur and in the color of a Mightyena, weird. "If both s-sides are ready, battle begin!" After Aristotle's introduction, Fang came charging at me with blinding speed and collided straight into my chest. Catching me off guard, but it didn't stop with him using Accelrock. He then pummeled me with a flurry of blows. I didn't move an inch but that was a lot of damage for a first strike. He jumped back creating distance between us.

"I hoped you like that, a good ol' one, two" he let out a horrendous laugh. He went from Accelrock and straight into play rough. No wonder they call his fighting style the rocky blitz. This battle was initially for analysis, but I can analyze the footage later. This is an elite match after all so let's put in some effort. I stopped on the ground and the earth started to shape and reform making the land jagged and hard to walk across. To my surprise, he dodged by flipping back and kicking off the jagged ground like stepping stones.

"Very agile, but I may look big but slow is out of the equation" I smirked as I started running and my aura flared in a crimson purple. I jumped to the next rock Fang was aiming for and bashed him with my tail into the stadium floor. When I got back on the ground I saw he was struggling to move.

"What did you do to me?" He growled.

"So you noticed" I chuckled. "I struck one of your vital points in your body. Specifically your inner back right leg, you may notice you are finding it hard to walk but the adrenaline is blocking the pain" I gave him a mini-lecture.

"To hell with that, I can still fight" In an instant jagged rocks flew out of his fur and were all around us on the field. To my surprise, they expanded and then disappeared to the naked eye. Fang lunged at me again this time slower and it was easier for me to counter. I was going to counter with an iron tail, but he quickly made it out of my sight and gut-punched me with a sucker punch. He couldn't move the way as quickly as before and took my chance. I grabbed his fur in my mouth and launched him straight in the air. On his descent back down I thought he would lose his will to fight, however, I was wrong. He unleashed a high pitch screech that was strong enough to send be sliding into one of the rocks he hid earlier. While he landed on his paws.

"I guess I Miscalculated your will to fight, let me end this" I chuckled as I got off the rock. "The hyper voice threw me for a loop but you're all out of tricks" I smirked with confidence. Fang got back to his agile strategy from before and was jumping from rock to rock and then jumped off one of the invisible rocks and charged at me aiming a flurry of blows all over. To counter I use my ax-like jaw and slice right under his jaw. He was sent sliding back and was struggling to get up.

"What the?" He was a bit wobbly and his head was swaying.

"Another vital strike, this time to the jaw. You may be experiencing dizziness, headaches, and even nausea. Not to mention it'll feel like everything around you is spinning" I lectured again. To my surprise, the referee hasn't said anything but I guess our Orbs are the ones that say when we faint or can't keep going.

"To hell with that" He then jumped off a few more rocks and was high in the sky angling down at me with drill run. I forget we aren't limited to four moves here.

"Whatever, if you forfeited you wouldn't have to experience this" My ax jaw then glows a light blue and grows in size. It collides with Fang's drill run. With the two moves, colliding sparks were flying everywhere, but with a simple thrust, I broke through his move. I then sliced at him while he was vulnerable in the air. He was sent tumbling back as if he was a limp noodle. As soon as I struck him the match was called.

"Winner, Rank seven, Macalister Nexus" Aristotle called. The school medics then came out to take Fang on a stretcher. I'm just glad my theory was right. The more damage your opponent has sustained the easier it is to pull off Guillotine. "There w-will be no ch-hange in any of the ranks" Aristotle also announced. I then could hear in the crowd other students asking how I knew a powerful move such as Guillotine. I forgot they were even there the whole time. When I was walking off the field I saw it for a second but some dark puff of smoke above the stadium before it dissipated. It was thin so I didn't expect anyone to notice. What was that?

~Tyler's~

(Dearly Beloved - Kingdom Hearts)

Looking at the new school in front of me I was astounded. They had this done over the summer. No normal pokemon could do this, this is the power of a legendary. I then looked at Jason who was beside me and was as amazed.

'Whoever the legendary is has amazing taste' I heard Blaze say in my head.

'Must be someone well trusted if my father gave Tyler the special letter to come back here' Axel added.

'You two said you wouldn't be a bother, just don't be a distraction when we meet the Dean' I sighed and then stopped hearing their voices.

"Axel and Blaze?" Jason asked.

"Yeah, they've been restless since we got on land" I responded as we started entering the school.

"Remember this is new to them, maybe not Axel since he's been a part of your consciousness for a while. Plus, this is like a mini vacation" Jason gave a light smile. I know being positive isn't his strong suit, but him being here was the best choice.

"Yeah, and honestly thanks for coming with me. I'm not sure who else I would've taken" I chuckled.

"Tyler I know I didn't say this before but over the summer I feel like we became closer friends than ever and you are truly my best friend. You stuck through everything with me, even my emotional breakdown over Milo" he chuckled as we made our way up to the third floor.

"Me too and not saying we need to go back to how we were when we were kids, but I feel like we are way better now" I gave him a cheeky smile. We eventually made it to the Dean's office.

"Dean Lumino, I wonder who it is?" Jason asked as he knocked.

"Please, come in" we heard a deep welcoming voice. We did as the voice asked and walked into the well-furnished office. Sitting on his desk was the legendary sun deity Solgaleo. "I've been waiting for you, I assume you know me as the legendary of Alola" both Jason and I nodded. "Good, I'm Sol Lumino. Please call me Lumino and welcome to the new Elemental Sector Academy" he gestured to the campus we couldn't see.

"Thank you Lumino, but what does us being here have to do with the school?" I asked.

"Well, you will be assisting with events this semester as well as being commentators. We can go over dinner details on a later date since it's so late" Lunimo gestured to the moon being up.

"However, you'll also help us look for students with an Ace's power" Both Jason and I turned around to be met with professor Tailside.

"M-mi-ilo" Jason's voice completely cracked.

"What is he doing here?" I got defensive in front of Jason. I could hear Lunino sigh.

"This was going to be explained later but of course Michael, you have terrible timing" The dean walked over to the Eevee we know as a subordinate to MT. " I guess since you know he's here, let's all have a chat. That includes you two as well. Blaze and Axel" Almost instantly Blaze and Axel left my body and appeared in the room.

"How did you know?" Blaze asked.

"With me being a legendary you would think not to underestimate my abilities" Lumino then walked over to his desk and sat down.

"You're more frightening than my father" Axel gave a weak glare and it felt like there was a thick pressure on us all.

"Is that so, I guess that comes with me being the leader of the Ace operatives. I'm member eleven, Loxs, nice to meet you" He said in a calm voice yet it held so much weight.

A/N: Loxs is like Roxas just replace the 'R' with an 'L'.

I never met an Ace besides the one who has been communicating with me for years and for the second one I met to be the leader. I have no idea what to expect.

"We have a lot to talk about and such little time" professor Tailside Joined Lumino at his side.

~Nexus's~

(Circhester Theme - Pokemon)

When I got back the sun was down. Normally I would spend more time out in the moonlight, it helps me feel calm but something told me to come back. I would've been back sooner if I didn't bother to check in on Fang and his wounds. I really wanted to hurt him. I would've struck his vital points with my jaw to cause them to bleed. With my understanding of his anatomy and what his species likes I was able to create an ointment that he could put on his paw as well as lug to soothe the pain. Rest should be his friend and he'll be fine by Monday.

When I got in the room I decided to check the microwave and the food was gone and his plate was in the sink. I sigh at the acknowledgment that he at least ate something. I walked over to his door and saw no light creep from under the door. Leaning my ear against it I heard consistent breathing but a lot of pacing.

I then knocked on the door "Kai, are you okay? I just wanted to check in before I go to bed" The pacing then stopped and I heard nothing from the room. His door then opened and I was met with a sweaty Flareon in only his shorts. From what I could tell his room was clean behind him so what was he doing?

"Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry I had you worried last night" Kai gave a smile. Though I didn't believe he was fine and he's doing his best not to show it.

"What are you doing?" I asked with a bit of concern.

"Oh, I'm working out. It helps me with stress and feeling better" He opens his door and shows a training dummy in his room as well as ankle weights and some other gear he has.

"Oh, okay then. I just wanted to check in after last night" I was surprised this is a complete one-eighty compared to last night. Maybe he is doing better but I must keep an eye on him. I turned around to head to my room to take a shower when he said something.

"Nexus, if you're not busy sometime soon could you and I play games together?" I had my back still turned to him, but I could tell it took a lot for him to ask. Why the change of heart?

"Sure," I smirked to myself as I went to my room.

Action: That is number three and a lot is going on.

Tyler: If you thought I was gone you are wrong.

Kai: And if you thought we would have a slow start then you were more wrong.

Milo: We're going full speed ahead.

Nexus: You may want to pay attention to every detail because it will be important soon.

Luna: Don't forget about the Aces either.

Fang: Pffft, Hope you all enjoyed today's chapter.
