(Lively Days - Shadowverse)A/N: Sydney's new theme

"It's interesting how it has already been a week of school" I was laying in a flower bed.

"What did you expect?" The voice of my cocky friend kills the mood. "All we have done this past week is plan the Evergreen tournament which we can't even compete in" Percy let out a long sigh. All he has is fighting on the brain, I don't blame him for the past few years and our opportunity to come overseas. As I was thinking I realized our break is almost up and that Tailside said for the rest of the day we'll be going on a field trip.

"There you two are" I sprung up from the flower bed to see Tailside and the rest of the class behind him.

"Sorry about that professor, I guess time escaped us" I gave him an apologetic look.

"I knew damn well we were over time" Percy grumbled and I hit him.

"It is fine, you were both on the way to where we need to be anyway" the Eevee sighed. "Now everyone follow me to the center stadium" the professor walked off with the rest of the class and the two of us followed them. When we made it to the stadium there was a Garchomp but he looked a bit different, his color scheme was of a mightyena and had fur.

"Everyone this is our new teaching assistant, his name is Aristotle and as timid as he may seem he has come here from Sinnoh in his final year of college to finish his teaching degree" Tailside gestures to the land shark in front of us.

"I'll be helping in today's field trip as well as from now on" The furry shark said. He looked a bit nervous and I wished I could help. Secretly I used a vine whip and rubbed his back. On the vine was a relaxing ointment that relaxes the body and if ingested the mind. I see him take a deep breath before he continues. "Everyone join me in the center circle" As we did as we were told the floor sunk into the ground and the stadium hole we came through closed above us. Then the whole area was illuminated.

"Welcome to the Labyrinth" The professor explains. It was a juggle-like area underneath the stadium floor with three major temples. "There isn't much we know about this place. It miraculously appeared last year and we are linking it to the idea that this could possibly be a den, like you would find in Galor" The professor explains further as we get to the jungle floor.

"This place is a lot bigger now that we are on the forest floor" Corrode spoke up.

"What is the objective of today's field trip?" The giant dragon of Unova chimed in this time.

"There are three major temples down here and the objective is to get the treasure. Once all three treasures are collected class is done for the day, and those who get the treasure will be rewarded. Also, you are allowed to fight your classmates to get ahead, or you could work together but there can only be three winners" Tailside explained. I saw Percy come to life after the professor said we could fight the other students. Noticeably there were a lot of apprehensions.

"When do we start?" The fire lion known as Jai asked.

"Now, also you are the elite class, start acting like it. Remember there are many other students who would kill to be in your position. If you can't handle a simple training exercise like this maybe I should replace you before the class change tournament!" Tailside sounded annoyed and after that all the students scattered. I started heading to the furthest temple from where we started which was in the labyrinth's center. I was then stopped in my tracks by smashing into what felt like stone.

"Ow, that hurt!" When I got up I just saw the forest around me.

"Sorry it had to be this way but you came my way first" I heard a growl. I then saw an orange Lycanroc charge down at me from the sky. Using the first around me massive vines sprout from the ground in an instant.

"It will take more than a surprise attack to take me down" I retorted as I let my frenzy plant run amok.

"Sorry but I'm a bit more crafty than attacking head on" the dog started kicking off the trees to redirect himself and he was quick about it. I quickly got struck in the back and it felt like he bit down with a massive amount of heat and then I got thrown into a tree. I really am not cut out for a fight. How am I an elite student anyway? I was wincing while I was against the tree. I must've hit my head cause everything is blurry. "As an elite student, I think you would have more fight left in you" The dog walked up to me. I got a clearer view of him, and Fang was attacking me. Then a massive rush of flames came through and Fang had to dodge.

"I think it's nasty to plant a sneak attack on a girl" I turned my head and it was the class's number one: Jai Chesterfield. everything went black.

~Jai's~

"Where did he go, I can never get my chance to talk to him" I was wandering the forest. I decided to walk through instead of running like my classmates. As long as I'm able to get some training in, I could care less. I sighed. "Dang I wanted to get the chance to actually talk to Kai. Ugh, stop beating yourself up about it" I smacked myself. At least I'm not being followed by the posse of girls and they are focussing on the challenge.

"Ow, that hurt!" I heard a feminine voice that wasn't too far away. I rushed in the direction I heard the voice and when I reached the area I saw Fang preying on Sydney. I also saw with my sharp eyes that invisible rocks surrounded the area. Instantly I launched a Flamethrower his way. "I think it's nasty to plant a sneak attack on a girl" I stood tall looking down at the rock dog standing in front of me.

"You have no right lecturing me you damn prince!" He snarled and I expected no less. After all, I did see his match against Nexus. I started to collect the natural energy around me as he stared at me. Then he disappeared from my vision. He'll be aiming for my weak point, which is my side, but which side is a mystery. I then let a whirlwind surround me. I then heard the groan of a tree from someone pressing their weight on it and the sound came from my left. I counter by the wind around me striking like blades.

"Didn't think I could learn Razor Wind" I chuckled to myself. "With a bit of training, you can learn anything" The wind started to cut him and his fur was trapped in a vortex.

"You shouldn't be able to do this?" He said with gritted teeth.

"There is a reason why I'm number one, but do you know what happens when wind meets fire?" I asked with a smirk as my mane came to life.

"What?!" He didn't get my remark.

"Don't worry about it" I sent a ball of flame his way and it stretched out into the symbol of fire. "Fire Blast!" A massive explosion erupted and I saw Fang's body go flying into the trees. That was easy and I had the type disadvantage. I walked over to Sydney's body and brought her back to where the professor was. When I came to his clearing and met his cold gaze it sent a shiver down my spine.

"You gave your classmates the advantage because you wanted to save Sydney from Fang's cruelty," his tone was stern and it made me jump.

"I don't care about winning, but gaining experience" I dropped off Sydney by a tree near the professor. I wonder why this man is so cold?

~Corrode's~

(The Shackled Wolves (Rain) - FE3H)A/N: Corrode's new theme

We've been down here a while. I could say it's been at least an hour and I'm just closing in on a temple. It had three statues on top. One looked like a dog, the other looked like a snake and the last looked like some guardian. I made my way inside and it was a lot bigger than I thought it was. When I entered there were these green things that started to slither away and it sent a shiver up my spine. Looking farther into the temple I saw a flame, but it was moving. With it being the only light source in here I followed it blindly. When it turned a corner and I went to follow, all I knew was that an arm was stuck out and I ducked sliding under it.

"Should've known for someone top of our class a trap like that would be too simple," Looking at where the voice came from. It was the light source, a Flareon and behind him was a Haxorus.

"You two are Kai and Nexus?" I asked, getting defensive.

"No need to get your panties in a bunch we're not looking for a fight we thought someone who was looking for a fight was following us" The fire dog put his hands up as if surrendering.

"Matter of fact with the three of us here, why not explore the temple together" Nexus suggested. I nodded in agreement and we continued our trek deeper and deeper into the temple. As we made our way through the temple we noticed some ancient text as well as pictures carved into the wall.

"For a place that miraculously appeared last year this art and writing seem to be older," Kai acknowledged.

"I agree but if you give me enough time I'll be able to decipher what the text says" Nexus commented.

"That's cool, you can read unknown" I smiled at the dragon but wasn't sure if he could see me in the dimly lit temple. As we kept traveling through the temple Nexus had his ORB screen up while deciphering the text while Kai and I started talking. He's a pretty cool dude. There is some underlying emotion I don't understand and he won't bother to bring it up. I told him about me, how I'm from a pewter city in Kanto, and that I want to be a frontier brain when school is said and done.

"I think I got the text" Nexus exclaimed and we caught up to him going down another flight of stairs. "For you who have entered my tomb and who are in search of my treasure. Keep going down to reach the jewel of my three forms. If you haven't guessed you are in the tomb of the legendary Zygarde and is one of the eleven legendary Aces. Beware, the more who enter my temple the harder it is to reach the treasure" Nexus read as we continued traversing the temple.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked. Kai rolled his eyes.

"Considering that we are in Zygarde's Tomb I'm assuming his cells scatter to the treasure since they are scared to be around those who enter the temple" Kai explained.

"Didn't realize you actually studied legendaries" Nexus comments, sending a smile Kai's way.

"I study them when I can but if what you said is true and I interpreted it right, we need to get to the treasure before the other students arrive" Kai started to run off and Nexus and I followed. As we started running you could hear the temple shake and the voices of others. It felt like we were running for hours but I checked and we've only been in here for a half hour. We then came across a grand room and I could see something shiny from Kai's flames.

"Kai! There are torches on the walls, come and light them" Nexus said. Kai with a groan did as he was asked and the room started to light up more and more. After Kai made his way around the room we could see clearly that the room was full of gold but in the center, there were two Zygarde snake forms. One had a ruby eye while the other had a sapphire eye. Nexus and I went up to go grab the gems and then we heard a scream. We turned around and Kai was knocked out against the wall and next to his body was Percival.

"What the heck was that?!" Nexus looked pissed.

"He got knocked back by my attack too hard. Don't worry he'll only sleep for a few minutes. It's nothing personal, I just want to win" he shrugged. I then noticed he had a topaz gem in his pocket.

"You already raided a tomb!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah, but when do we get battle practice plus if I come with all of them it'll show I deserve the top spot" Both Nexus and I were taken aback by his words. "Are we going to stand here and talk or are we going to fight?" Percival asked. Nexus got in a fighting stance.

"Let me do this alone, I got this," I said and Nexus nodded. I pulled out my Life Orb and tied it around my neck. The professor said nothing about using items. We both stalked toward each other and were waiting on the other to make their move. He took the first move jumping at me with a psychic aura pouring around him and transferring into his fangs. He's aiming for super-effective hits. I dodge going left but it looked like that's what he anticipated and I had nowhere to go. When he came diving at me again I noticed a scope lens dangling around his neck. He then bit down on my arm and flung me into the wall. That hurt a lot, the bite hurt more than me being thrown. Not to mention I left a dent in the wall where my body is.

"Hope you liked that, scope lens paired with my Sniper ability is an equation for disaster!" Percival laughed.

"No Arcanine should have that ability" Nexus exclaimed.

"Didn't I tell you before I'm special but maybe I didn't? Whatever the case don't underestimate me" he started to gloat and that's when I got him. A wave of water came crashing down on him. When the water disappeared he was on the ground knocked out.

"How did you do that?" Nexus seemed surprised.

"With me having a Life Orb I get a power boost in exchange for my HP but what you don't know is my ability is Sheer Force" I explained and Nexus understood instantly which I expected with his intelligence.

"Now let's grab the two gems and Kai so we can leave" When we grabbed the two gems the third one appeared in the center of the room and it was green. "Guess we have one now for Kai" Nexus joked and we grabbed the third gem as well as Kai making our escape out of the tomb. When traveling back up through the tomb we came across two other students who were passed out, but ran past them till we made our way out. On our made dash Kai came to but Nexus still carried him on his back. It didn't take long for us to reach the professor and Jai was already there with an emerald.

"Nice work you three, I didn't expect the tomb of Zygarde to have three gems but you all pass with flying colors" Tailside gave us praise. When we arrived I saw that Jai was sending a glare Nexus's way, but for what reason? Fang and Sydney and a few others were already here too. About thirty minutes later Percival arrived and showed his Topaz gem. "Splendid everyone is done, anyone who was able to get a gem gets an 'A' for today everyone else you will be graded based on how you performed," Tailside said as we all got on the platform.

"How would you know how we performed?" Kai asked.

"Aristotle was watching the whole time and made his way around the Labyrinth as well as I activated the cameras in your Orbs before we got down here" We all gasped at the professor's answer. Grades will be out later tonight, however, there is a dinner party tonight for you Aces. Think of it as a gift from me and for you all to get to know each other better," he chuckled a bit. I've never seen a smile on his face, I like it. We all reached the surface and it felt good to see the blue sky. "You're all dismissed!" We all cheered leaving the battlefield.

~Kai's~

(Circhester Theme - Pokemon)

"Kai come one, wake up or we'll be late!" It was Nexus's voice while he was banging on the door. "I'm coming, no need to be so loud. It takes a fire type a while to get dressed, you know. I don't want to burn my clothes" I opened my door and Nexus, who was right behind it, blushed. "What? Do I need to change?" I asked a bit self-consciously.

"No it's nothing at all you look great" he cleared his throat. I rolled my eyes and walked past him but I was blushing myself. I decided to wear navy jeans with an Eevee belt. Then a yellow shirt with a Flareon in the center as well as a navy over jacket, but it was cropped so it only covers my chest and I left it unbuttoned. Nexus was casual just like me. He had navy jeans with a red and black plaid button up leaving the top two buttons undone. We left and did our idle chatter like normal and it made me happy but while we were walking and talking I couldn't help but think why I had been blushing earlier. There was no reason to do so, especially with a guy. I then remembered him carrying me in the Labyrinth and blushed again.

"Why are you blushing, my friend?" I jumped when I realized Corrode was in front of me. I must've dazed out when we reached the conference room on the dorm's ground floor.

"Nothing I was lost in thought" I tried to defend myself.

"For a small fry, you clean up nice" I then turned my attention to an Arcanine and a Gogoat.

"Be nice," the Gogoat said.

"You two are Percival and Sydney," I said, making sure to get their names right.

"That's right but you two can call me Percy" he smirked at me.

"For someone who is allowing us to give a nickname, remember you slammed me against a wall. Not cool" I glared at him.

"Not need to be butt hurt about it, that was on the battlefield. Off the battlefield we can be friends" he gave me puppy dog eyes and it caught me off guard.

"Stop that you dumb mutt" Sydney smacked him. "I do however agree with what he said no matter what happens on the battlefield we should all be able to be friends" Sydney gave both Corrode and me a pure smile and my heart melted.

"Why not we're all in the same class together anyway" Corrode shouted in joy.

"Yeah" I smiled. Though in the corner of my eye I noticed Jai was looking in our direction. What's with that? Oh well, there's food and drinks galore and I will not waste them.

"Why are we all standing here, let's all eat!" Percy led the charge and we all agreed.

Action: I'm taking my time.

Kai: The longer you take the longer everyone has to wait.

Nexus: Who is even reading this?

Action: Irrelevant.

Percival: So am I evil or good?

Nexus: *Reads outline for next set of chapters* We'll let the audience decide.

Kai: *Steals outline* What the fuck! You're kidding is-.

Action: Any hope you enjoyed today's chapter.
