"Master Sartorius! He's the best!"
"Master Sartorius is here! We must welcome him and treat him with the upmost respect!"
"He's our savior!"
Master Sartorius! Master Sartorius!"
All, if not most, of the Obelisk Blue members have been brainwashed after Chazz successfully defeated every one of the former Obelisk Blue students, thus reverting them to change their ways and serve Sartorius. While this may be true, Chazz only served as the starting point for the brainwashing, as the first few former Obelisk Blue students began to turn on their fellow Obelisk Blues and defeated them in duels, meaning Chazz didn't do all of the work alone, which goes to show how powerful and fearful Sartorius' power can be.
The entire Obelisk Blue dorm, seeing as it was the largest dorm out of the three student dorms on campus, was the perfect setting for the Society of Light. All members participated in the redecoration of their dorm and painted it anew with white paint, as being part of the Society of Light meant obsession over the color white. Any single speck of the color blue was immediately replaced by white paint to signify the Society of Light's sanctum of their own version of heaven.
Two unofficial, but they might as well be, lieutenants of the Society of Light stood by each other as Sartorius approached them. They just so happened to be Chazz, the first official Society of Light member, and Alexis, the strongest female Society of Light member. Due to their unrivaled power within the Society of Light, it was only fitting that they become the lieutenants of their great leader, Sartorius, while he was away with business.
Greeting him formally, Chazz spoke, "Welcome, your lordship, to Duel Academy. We'd like to officially welcome you and hope that you might feel right at home."
Bowing her head slightly, Alexis said, "We, the powerless, await your guidance."
The crowd of Society of Light students roared in excitement at the thought of Sartorius guiding them to a better, hopeful future with no darkness until Sartorius raised one palm to silence them. "Please, it's not only me, but also thanks to the hard efforts of each and every one of you. Besides, it is not I that shall be guiding you, but destiny itself. Like you, I am but a mere student, so therefore, I shall learn with you, as we endeavor to cultivate the Society of Light together."
Sartorius' welcoming speech was short, simple, but effective enough for the entirety of the Society of Light to cheer for their leader once more, chanting his name in unison repeatedly and increasing in volume as time passed. In fact, they were loud enough for not only Aster, who was outside of the dorms, to hear, but also for anyone across the large lake residing near the dorms to hear as well, which just so happened to be Jaden and her group of friends.
"Damn...How much is he going to influence people?" wondered Hassleberry, still scowling over his loss with Sartorius. He was lucky that he managed to get out of that duel unscathed, but next time might not be so lucky.
"Yeah...So many more people are wearing more white uniforms," commented Syrus. "I wouldn't even be surprised if he managed to brainwash the entire Obelisk Blue section!"
"We should be cautious about this, guys," advised Bastion carefully.
"...Yeah..." Even Jaden was starting to see the dire situation growing more serious as time passed. It probably wouldn't be long before the Society of Light began targeting the other dorms to join their side.
No, "join" was being too generous. The words, "forcibly commit" or "brainwash" was more appropriate for this sort of situation. It was just like Neos and the rest of the Neo-Spacians mentions; the influence of the Light of Destruction was growing stronger everyday and if there was nobody to stop it, nothing else will.
Later, at the Chancellor's Office...
"And I'm telling you for the last time, NO! I'm the Chancellor, so I say that our field trip will be to Italy! Ahh!~ Sighting in Rome, Venice, Milan! Italy's basically the most infamous love spot in all of the world! Plus, it'll be a tour of both history and art!"
"Pah! Like that'll do! We should have a grand tour to Paris, Nice, Marseilles! They have the greatest gourmet cuisine around those parts!~"
Crowler and Bonaparte were, once again, at each other's throats as they were now arguing about the location of their annual school trip. Every few years or so, Duel Academy would plan a school trip and invite everyone to participate, and the reason why this would occur once every few years was due to high expenses for the trip.
While both men were still loudly debating on their location choices, the Society of Light interrupted their quarrel by barging in a military-like style, led by both Alexis and Chazz.
Noticing their presences, Crowler and Bonaparte ceased their arguing and looked at the group in white. "What business do you have here?" questioned Crowler.
"Leave! We're in the midst of an important meeting!" yelled Bonaparte.
"You're deciding our class trip destination, right?" spoke Chazz.
"Indeed we are!" Crowler said. "We're in a conference at the moment, so would you kindly turn around and leave?!"
"Not a chance! Besides, Master Sartorius has already foreseen where our school trip will be! In fact, here he is! Make room for Master Sartorius!"
At Chazz's command, the students in white bowed their heads at Sartorius' appearance, backing away to allow him passage as the older man himself walked up to the front of the room. "Good day, gentlemen. I had no intention of intruding, but I had already used the Tarot to determine our destiny."
"Well, too bad!" snapped Crowler. "Even if you used that so-called 'destiny' of yours-!"
The frightening glares from each Society of Light individual was enough to startle Crowler and Bonaparte before Bonaparte had to intervene and step in. "U-Uh...What he meant to say was that we'll hear out your destination!"
"Hey!"
"Quiet!" shouted Alexis. "Our great leader, Master Sartorius, will now announce the location of our field trip."
"Hang on a minute!" announced Jaden, having arrived a minute ago with her friends and overhearing the situation at hand. "Doesn't our opinions count as well? We want to get in on this!"
"Hey, Jaden! You're being bothersome! Leave!" ordered Chazz harshly.
"Yeah, we don't need anymore of your intervention!" agreed Alexis angrily. "After all, destiny cannot be opposed!"
Jaden rolled her eyes. "Yeah...Like I'm gonna believe that."
"Hey! Are you doubting Master Sartorius' teachings?!" questioned Chazz, glaring straight at her, wishing her had laser eyes to shoot her through.
"I mean, I kinda defied fate by beating Aster. Explain that!"
"Well...! I...You just got lucky! That's all!"
"Right..." Turning her attention back to Sartorius, Jaden proposed, "Hey, Sartorius! How about we settle this with a duel! Let's decide the destination of the field trip with a duel!"
"Interesting proposal..." Sartorius' interest perked up the second Jaden proposed such a duel. "But, if you are approaching me with a challenge, it must entail a risk as well. Should you happen to win, I shall allow you the destination of the trip. However, should you lose, you will have no choice but to join the Society of Light. Understood?"
"Jaden, it's obviously a trap! Don't fall for it!" pleaded Syrus, knowing that Jaden eagerly accepts any and all challenges, no matter the risk.
"Yeah, what if you lose, and then you become one of those guys that start sprouting all of that destiny nonsense?" said Hassleberry.
"Yes, both are correct! The odds are too much!" Bastion said.
Glancing at her friends, Jaden said, "You guys can't be serious. You guys can't seriously be falling for all that fortune telling and destiny stuff, too! Besides, even if I lose, which I WON'T, then there's a high chance I'll be immune to the brainwashing like Hassleberry did!"
"But he's got a dinosaur bone! That gives him automatic immunity! I highly doubt you have a dinosaur bone!" cried out Syrus.
"There's no need to fear," assured Sartorius. "After all, I shall pass on dueling this time. That is because I just recently transferred here, so I preferred to keep a low profile as best as I can."
"Yeah, right!" scoffed Hassleberry. "You haven't kept one so far!"
"I wish for you to fight a duelist of my own choosing. So? Will you accept? Of course, I don't even need to use the cards to seek out the obvious answer."
"Hmm...NO!" declared Jaden.
"Then, let us be off to-Wait, no? What do you mean?!" Even Sartorius was taken aback by Jaden's rejection.
Grinning widely, Jaden laughed before shaking her head. "I'm just kidding! Of course I'll accept!"
Behind her, her friends sighed in relief. 'It might be the end of the world if Jaden refuses to accept,' they thought before coming to a realization. 'Wait, she accepted?! NO! That's still bad!'
Still, there was no point changing Jaden's mind once she set her sights upon something, especially with dueling, so they unwillingly accepted the circumstances that would soon happen. Soon, they found themselves sitting amongst the number of seats in the Dueling Arena along with the Society of Light.
"What's taking her opponent so long?" wondered Syrus out loud. It's already been around 15 minutes since everyone arrived but Jaden's opponent, and if it wasn't Alexis, Chazz, Sartorius, or any of the other Society of Light members currently in the Duel Arena, who was her opponent and what are they doing?
"Grrr! I can't believe they're making us wait! It's like...like that one time where I went to an event which had a long line where I had to wait two hours! And even then, that event only lasted ten minutes!" growled Hassleberry impatiently. "What a ripoff that was!"
"What kind of opponent will it be?" Bastion pondered. Since Sartorius agreed to allow the duel for Jaden, he must have a fitting opponent against the #1 duelist in Duel Academy, and that opponent must be really strong as well.
Even Jaden was having doubts about her opponent showing up, much to her disappointment. "It looks like Sartorius really doesn't intend to duel me. Does he really believe so much in destiny?"
"Sorry for the wait," called out Alexis, surprising Jaden.
"Whoa, Alexis! Are you my opponent?"
"No." Gesturing at the female opponent approaching the dueling platform, Alexis announced, "Your opponent shall be her. Princess Rose."
Rose appeared as an elegant, young lady befitting of that as a princess, especially dressed in a dark blue gown and a tiara along with wearing makeup. She donned a gentle-like aura that had a sense of royalty and beauty, further befitting her like a princess as she made her way to face Jaden.
Even Jaden's friends were bewitched by Rose's beauty and elegance. "Wow! A princess!" awed Syrus; a light blush forming on his cheeks.
"Yeah! She's royalty, isn't she?" spoke up Hassleberry.
Bastion sweatdropped at how easily they were taken in by the princess' appearance despite having crushes on Jaden. "Hey, now...Come on..."
Glancing up and down at Jaden, Rose pressed a finger at her lips and paused to ponder about her appearance. "Hmm...Cute tomboy appearance, Jaden Yuki. But, where are my manners? I am Princess Rose, and I duel at the command of Master Sartorius."
"Sure...pleasure," said Jaden. She's never dueled royalty before, so this might be interesting!
"'Dueling is beauty.' That's my motto," continued Rose. "Let us have a beautiful duel."
"For me, duels are fun! Sure, we can have a beautiful duel, but let's both have fun while we're at it!"
"DUEL!" both duelists said simultaneously, initiating the start of their duel.
- DUEL -
Rose - 4000 LP
Jaden - 4000 LP
"If I may, I shall have the first turn!" said Rose, receiving a nod of approval from Jaden that she may continue. "First, I shall summon T.A.D.P.O.L.E. in Defense Mode. Then, I'll end my turn."
T.A.D.P.O.L.E. - (WATER/Aqua) - LV1 - (0/0)
"Hey! That's a really weak Monster!" cried out Syrus, surprised that she would lay out such a weak Monster with no defense.
"Yeah! And ugly, too!" pointed out Hassleberry.
Syrus and Hassleberry had no idea how loud their complaints were until they felt the emitting rage coming from Rose. "Hey! I heard that!" she snapped, reverting from sweet and polite to angry and hateful, enough to shaken the two boys.
Despite their rude comments about the Monster's appearance, Bastion had to admit that they were right. "A Monster with 0 Attack and Defense Points? It's like she's basically asking her to attack."
"My turn, draw!" said Jaden. "I summon Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird in Attack Mode!"
Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird - (WIND/Winged Beast) - LV3 - (800/600)
"Now I'm activating his special ability! For every card in your hand, I gain 500 Life Points! And I'm so lucky, because you've got 5 cards, so that means I'll get a huge Life Point boost-up!"
Rose - 4000 LP
Jaden - 6500 LP
"Time to attack! Air Hummingbird, use Fury Attack!"
"Jaden, stop referencing attacks from that show you love so much!" scolded Air Hummingbird lightly as he took off into the skies. "...Even if some of them have cool attack names." He swept down and delivered a barrage of pecking attacks on T.A.D.P.O.L.E. with very little effort due to how weak it was.
"T.A.D.P.O.L.E.'s effect activates!" shouted Rose. "When he's destroyed by battle, I can add another T.A.D.P.O.L.E. from my deck to my hand!"
"Oh, cool! That sounds like a really fun effect!" said Jaden.
Syrus and Hassleberry turned to Bastion with curious expressions, wondering what was the point of Rose's strategy and relying on their walking, talking encyclopedia. Knowing what they were going to ask, Bastion shrugged his shoulders. "I know what you're going to ask, and no, I don't know."
"Feh. Typical."
"Hey! I don't suppose you can come up with any ideas!"
"My turn!" Rose announced, drawing her card. "I activate the Spell, Frog Resurrection! This card allows me to discard 1 WATER Attribute Monster in order to Special Summon another WATER Attribute Monster in my Graveyard! I discard the T.A.D.P.O.L.E. in my hand in order to Special Summon my beloved T.A.D.P.O.L.E. from my Graveyard!"
"Wait, so...she sacrificed her Monster...to get the same Monster from her Graveyard?" wondered Syrus.
"Why...would she sacrifice a weaker Monster for another weaker Monster?" Even Hassleberry was puzzled by this strategy.
However, Bastion realized the reason why and blurted out, "I see! It's for Tributing!"
"I sacrifice T.A.D.P.O.L.E. to summon Des Frog in Attack Mode!" declared Rose.
Des Frog - (WATER/Aqua) - LV5 - (1900/0)
"But I'm not done. Because now, Des Frog's effect activates. When he's Tribute Summoned, I can Special Summon Des Frogs from my hand or deck up to the number of T.A.D.P.O.L.E.s I have in the Graveyard. Pretty handy effect, huh?"
Des Frog - (WATER/Aqua) - LV5 - (1900/0) X3
"Wow! Cool! What an awesome strategy, Princess!" gasped Jaden in excitement, despite the disadvantage she had right now.
Air Hummingbird began sweating, trying to keep his composure. "Jaden, they're stronger than me! They are OBVIOUSLY going to gang up on me, and then you! Ugh! To be run down by a toad!"
"It's not that bad! You've suffered worse!" assured Jaden.
"...I stand corrected. Ugh! To be run down by THREE toads!"
"Do you see? These are the princes who protect me!~" said Rose, glancing down at each of her Des Frogs with admiration. "I see you're confused, so let me explain. I know you can see Duel Monster spirits. So, can you see them? The Duel Monster spirits of my lovely, three princes?"
"Uh..." While it was true that Jaden does possess the power to see Duel Monster spirits, it only comes naturally to her, and she doesn't force the power. Right now, she's definitely not seeing anything besides her own Monster. "Well, all I see are just plain, old frogs-"
"THEY'RE PRINCES!" yelled Rose, causing Jaden to be taken aback by her sharp tone. "Right now, they may appear to have the bodies of ugly frogs, but they are actually handsome princes that always protect me!~"
In Rose's image, she could see the true, handsome appearances behind her three Des Frogs, acting like princes in appearances as she continued complimenting and admiring them to no end.
Meanwhile, with Sartorius...
Inside the most luxurious room out of all of the other bedrooms within the previous Obelisk Blue Dorm, Sartorius stocked up all of the tarot cards into one single deck, preparing for another one of his divination predictions while surrounded by candles to provide as light and part of the ritual for his predictions.
"I cannot see them myself, but Jaden Yuki certainly has the power to see Duel Spirits," muttered Sartorius, drawing one of the tarot cards. "Of course, so does Rose. That's exactly why I had her as your opponent. However this duel turns out, I will discover more of your power!"
Back to the duel...
"Oh yeah! I remember now!" exclaimed Syrus. "This is exactly like that fairytale! You know, the Frog Prince? The story where the princess kisses the frog at the end and stuff and the frog turns out to be a prince and they all live happily ever after?"
Syrus' words, however true they may be, offended Rose as she yelled, "It's not a fairytale! It's real! And she didn't marry the frog! She married the prince who turned into the frog! Ah!~ My one wish is to see these lovely princes of mine revert to their true appearances and marry me! Well, Jaden? Can't you see their spirits?"
Peering closely, all Jaden could see are just three ordinary Des Frogs, but nothing special than that. 'They just look like Solid Vision Des Frogs to me, though...Not gonna tell her that, though.'
Thinking Jaden needed more time to concentrate on her power, Rose replied, "Let us resume the duel! Now, I activate the Spell, Des Croaking! When I have three Des Frogs, I'm allowed to destroy all the cards you have on the field! My princes, please sing for me!~"
Opening their mouths, the Des Frogs tried their best imitation at singing, which came in the form of shrieking sound waves. Air Hummingbird tried to cover his ears but unfortunately fell victim to the Spell's effect; being destroyed as a result.
"Oh no! Air Hummingbird got hit by Uproar! It was super effective!" cried out Jaden loudly through the sound waves.
"Bravo, my three princes! Now that your field's cleared, I attack you directly with all three of my Des Frogs!" declared Rose.
With Rose's attacking declaration, the three Des Frogs opened their mouths once more to unleash a fury of sound wave strikes at Jaden, who quickly managed to cover her ears in time. If it weren't for the huge Life Point boost from earlier, she would have lost.
Rose - 4000 LP
Jaden - 800 LP
The Society of Light cheered at Rose's successful attacks, even so far as to standing up and applauding for her actions while Chazz and Alexis remained silent and skeptical.
"The princess is quite skilled," spoke Bonaparte, impressed.
"Indeed," agreed Crowler, nodding.
Syrus grew increasingly worried about Jaden. "She took her from 6500 to 800 Life Points in an instant!"
"That's a strong Obelisk Blue student for ya," muttered Hassleberry.
"Des Croaking may have had its complicated conditions, but it all worked out in the end for Rose," stated Bastion, having witnessed such an event like everyone else.
"My turn is not yet over," said Rose. "I activate Polymerization and fuse all three of my Des Frogs! Come on out and play, my cute and adorable D.3.S. Frog!"
The three light green frogs merged together and disappeared into the vortex of fusion to complete the ritual of Polymerization. In their place stood an enormous, older-looking frog with thicker and darker skin.
D.3.S. Frog - (WATER/Aqua/Fusion) - LV8 - (2500/2000)
"Wow, cool!" Despite the ugly reveal of her Fusion Monster, Jaden had to admit that he definitely had the looks and the power to back up as a strong Fusion Monster. Her friends, however, disagreed thanks to the awkward expressions that gave away their true feelings, but they dare not say it out loud.
Pleased that someone other than herself complimented her Fusion Monster, Rose happily cried out, "Is he not? And he is a very handsome prince! Is he not wonderful? Oh! I end my turn!"
Jaden didn't want to upset Rose by saying that she couldn't exactly see the appeal behind D.3.S. Frog's appearance. But, at the same time, she just couldn't sense nor see any of Rose's Duel Spirits.
"My turn, draw!" shouted Jaden. "I summon Bubbleman in Attack Mode!"
Elemental Hero Bubbleman - (WATER/Warrior) - LV4 - (800/1200)
"When Bubbleman is summoned all by himself, and there are no other cards on my field, I get to draw two new cards! Then, I fuse Bubbleman with Clayman in my hand with Polymerization to form Elemental Hero Mudballman in Defense Mode!"
One of Jaden's strongest Monsters, clad in a hardened body of mud with blue armored legs and arms, in terms of defense, knelt down; his defense overpowering D.3.S. Frog's Attack Points.
Elemental Hero Mudballman - (WATER/Warrior/Fusion) - LV6 - (1900/3000)
"I'll throw down two cards and end my turn!"
"My turn, draw!" Rose glanced at the card she drew and revealed it to Jaden. "I activate the Spell, Pot of Greed. So now, I get to draw two free cards! Then, I activate my Spell card, Foolish Burial. It allows me to send one Monster from my deck to the Graveyard. Therefore, I'll send my Treeborn Frog from my deck to my Graveyard! Then, I activate Flute of Hamelin from my hand! I can select 1 Monster from my Graveyard that was sent there this turn, and both of us must send all cards from our decks or hand that have the same name as the selected Monster to the Graveyard. I choose Treeborn Frog and send two more to the Graveyard."
"Since I don't have any Treeborn Frogs, that effect doesn't apply to me," pointed out Jaden.
"That's fine by me. D.S.3. Frog's effect activates! His Attack Points increase by 500 for every Treeborn Frog in my Graveyard."
D.3.S. Frog - (WATER/Aqua/Fusion) - LV8 - (4000/2000)
"4000?! That's enough to bypass Mudballman's defenses!" cried out Syrus.
"Jaden's strongest defense is done for!" said Hassleberry.
"D.3.S. Frog! Swallow him up!" ordered Rose.
Widening his mouth, D.3.S. Frog's purple tongue extended and wrapped itself around Mudballman before swallowing the Monster whole in one fell swoop. Mudballman's destruction could be seen and heard through a light explosion inside of the fusion frog's abdomen, yet had no affect to the Monster's body as smoke escaped through his nostrils.
Before Rose had a chance to do anything else, Jaden quickly said, "I activate my Trap! Hero Signal! When one of my Monsters is destroyed by battle, I can Special Summon a Level 4 or below Elemental Hero Monster from my deck or hand! I'm choosing Avian!"
Elemental Hero Avian - (WIND/Warrior) - LV3 - (1000/1000)
"Too bad, because I'm activating this!" said Rose. "My Quick-Play Spell, De-Fusion! I'm bringing back my lovely three Des Frog princes!"
Knowing the effect of the Quick-Play Spell, Jaden's friends naturally panicked. "Crap, crap, crap! Not good! Not good!" cried out Hassleberry.
Des Frog - (WATER/Aqua) - LV5 - (1900/0) X3
"Now, my three princes!~ Defeat that wicked villain for me!~"
Both Jaden and Avian sweatdropped. "Wait, Avian?! He's no villain! He's the very opposite of a villain! See, his name, 'Elemental Hero,' proves it!"
"I don't care!" argued Rose. "I attack him with my Des Frogs!"
With the three Des Frogs literally pouncing in action, Jaden said, "Not so fast! I activate the Trap, Hero Ring! This Trap treats itself as an Equip card and equips itself onto a Warrior-Type with 1500 or less Attack Points! Thanks to that, Monsters with 1900 or more Attack Points can't attack Avian!"
Avian held up the Hero Ring shield with pride and a means of defending himself, winching every time he heard the sound of failed impact when the Des Frogs attempted to attack him, only to end up with bruised heads after slamming themselves into the iron red shield. Even though he was their enemy, even he had to admit he felt bad for the poor Des Frogs.
"Oh! Jeffrey! Roosevelt! Percival!" Rose cried, voicing her concerns for her fallen Des Frogs.
"Wait, you named your Monsters?" wondered Jaden. "...Why didn't I think of that before? I could have named Wroughtweiler Blackie or something!"
"Jaden, focus!" scolded Avian.
While watching the duel from the very start, Chazz already knew that Jaden had the ability to see Duel Spirits, so he didn't focus too much attention on her. However, Rose was a different story. She claimed to have the power to see Duel Spirits, yet he, another sightseer of Duel Spirits, didn't even see a single Duel Spirit on Rose's side, causing doubt within Chazz as he was beginning to figure out the problem.
'She and I are at a standstill,' thought Rose, glancing down at the one card left in her hand. 'I have a clear advantage over her in terms of Life Points, number of Monsters, and high Attack Points. But if I don't get past that defense of hers, I won't get anywhere. So, I guess I'll have to use all my frogs!'
"I sacrifice the three Des Frogs I have out on the field to Tribute Summon Amphibian Angel - Mifrog!"
Amphibian Angel - Mifrog - (WATER/Aqua) - LV5 - (1400/800)
"Why would you trade in all of those Des Frogs for a weaker Monster?" asked Jaden.
"Simple. Mifrog's effect is determined by the number of Monsters I sacrificed in order to summon him. Because I sacrificed three, he now has three effects. 1. He cannot be targeted for an attack. 2. When he's Tribute Summoned by 2 or more Monsters, I get to destroy all Spells and Trap cards on the field!"
Jaden gasped, realizing this meant that Hero Ring would no longer be in effect and forcibly be destroyed. Glancing over to Avian, she saw that the Hero Ring he was equipped to shattered to nothing, leaving him helpless.
"Finally, Mifrog's third and last effect! When he's Tribute Summoned by three Monsters, I get to Special Summon as many Frog Monsters from my Graveyard as possible that were summoned during this duel!"
Rose's Frog Monsters splashed onto the field and joined Mifrog, creating a Frog army that stood behind and besides Rose at her command.
Des Frog - (WATER/Aqua) - LV5 - (1900/0) X3
D.3.S. Frog - (WATER/Aqua/Fusion) - LV8 - (2500/2000)
"So many frogs!" said Syrus, cringing in disgust at the number of Frog Monsters there were on the field. Good thing the limit of Monsters summoned for a duelist's field was only five, because he wasn't sure he could handle another frog appearing.
"Ewwww! So slimy!" Hassleberry said, also in disgust. "Compared to frogs and dinosaurs, I'd have to say that dinosaurs are the winner in the beauty pageant!"
"Strange comparison, but I agree!" Bastion said.
"You're lucky that I can't attack you anymore this turn, but next time, you won't be so lucky when my beautiful princes end you. I end my turn," replied Rose confidently.
"Wait a minute!" interrupted Chazz, approaching the dueling platform. "Let me switch with you! I'm taking over this duel!"
Confused, Jaden asked, "Wait, what? Why? We're just getting to the good part! Don't interrupt this duel!"
"That's right!" agreed Rose. "Step down, please!"
"Rose, how dare you lie to Master Sartorius?! You're a liar and fraud! You can't see Duel Monster spirits!" yelled Chazz.
Shocked by the rude accusation, Rose tried to defend herself. "What?! What are you saying? I can see them!"
Chazz scoffed, "Yeah, right! And Jaden Yuki's gonna be the next Ki-I mean, Queen of Games! What, exactly, did you say to deceive Master Sartorius? No, not even the great Master Sartorius can see through such a deception. I see! This must have been a test! To show off my glory! I'll take Rose's place, and guide us to brilliant victory! I'll make Jaden see the light!"
Flustered, Rose frantically shook her head and tried to deny the accusation even more. "I'm not lying! See? I can see my princes! When I was a child, I read the story of 'The Frog Prince,' and it became my favorite fairytale of all time! Frogs were always my princes and my friends! Although I was always alone, they protected me! Then, when I established my frog deck, I began to see them! My princes!"
"You're hallucinating!" yelled Chazz. "Just admit that you're a lunatic and that you lied to M-"
"Hey, shut up!" snapped Jaden, turning to Chazz. "I don't know what your problem is, Chazz, but you better apologize to Rose for what you said! She's not a lunatic, because I believe her! Spirits dwell in the hearts of those who believe in them! Whatever form they take, if they make you feel that you're not alone, they're spirits! If Roses believes in her frogs, then I'll believe in them, too!"
"Well, whatever," scoffed Chazz, turning around to leave. "It won't change anything though. The destiny that Sartorius foretold will soon come to pass. And then, you'll all see the light."
After Chazz left, Jaden happily exclaimed, "Let's continue the duel! I'm totally gonna beat all your precious princes!"
Touched by Jaden standing up for her, Rose couldn't agree more with her. "Yeah...But, don't think I won't go easy on you!"
"I wouldn't dream of it!" assured Jaden, drawing her card. "My turn! I play Pot of Greed, letting me draw two more cards! Then, I summon Elemental Hero Burstinatrix in Attack Mode!"
Elemental Hero Burstinatrix - (FIRE/Warrior) - LV3 - (1200/800)
"Then, I activate the Spell, O-Oversoul! I can now Special Summon an Normal Hero Monster from my Graveyard, and I choose Clayman!"
Elemental Hero Clayman - (EARTH/Warrior) - LV4 - (800/2000)
"And now I activate the Field Spell, Skyscraper!"
The entire field was no longer the background of the Duel Arena, but of that of an entire city shrouded at night with buildings sticking out in all directions to serve as the Elemental Heroes' playing field.
Jaden explained, "Thanks to Skyscraper, when Elemental Heroes battle, if their Attack Points are lower than those of the Monsters they fight, their Attack Points increase by 1000! And I'm choosing Avian!"
Elemental Hero Avian - (WIND/Warrior) - LV3 - (2000/1000)
"Oh, and one more thing! I'm equipping Power Charging to Avian! It increases the Attack Points of the Monster it's equipped to by the Attack Points of a Monster he destroys by battle! And another thing before I'm taking over this duel! I activate the Spell, Feather Shot! Now Avian can attack up to the number of Monsters I have out on the field!"
"So that's why Jaden summoned so many Monsters despite their low Attack Points!" gasped Bastion.
"Does that mean Jaden's going to win?" wondered Hassleberry.
Syrus nodded. "Of course she is! She always pulls out a backup plan card in the end!"
"Alright, Avian! Take out the first Des Frog! And then, the rest is yours!" shouted Jaden.
At Jaden's command, Avian flew up into the air and flapped his wings to shoot out feather-like arrows to strike at the first Des Frog.

Winner: Jaden
Fatigued from the duel and witnessing the loss of seeing her three Des Frogs destroyed, Rose knelt down on her knees as the rest of the dueling battlefield disappeared along with the Duel Monsters.
"That's game!" said Jaden, winking and giving her signature finger pose. "Hey...you okay there, Rose? I didn't hurt you too badly, did I?"
Less frustrated about her loss and more concerned with the destruction of her precious three Des Frogs. "No, but my three princes are! My princes are far cooler than your Elemental Heroes! Bleh!" She childishly stuck her tongue out at Jaden before leaving to attend to other duties.
Jaden sweatdropped, knowing that Rose wasn't really mad at her, only upset in a good way. To her surprise, she saw a tiny, cute frog prince inside a green orb floating besides Rose, thanking her by bowing his head a few times before following after his princess.
'Wow! That...was so cute!~' thought Jaden before her thoughts were interrupted by a celebration tackle from both Hassleberry and Syrus. Bastion was the only one who didn't tackle her, but still stood by.
"Jaden! You did it!"
"Yeah, you sure beat her!"
"Impressive as always, Jaden!"
After everyone settled down, Jaden said, "I won, guys! That means I decide where we go for our class trip!"
Bonaparte and Crowler sighed, knowing that by default of the conditions of the duel, Jaden got to decide where to go and they had no say about it. "Do as you like," both said.
Grabbing a nearby microphone, Jaden announced proudly, "Alright! Then, I'll announce it! The place I wanna go to is..."
"Yes?" Both Hassleberry and Syrus inched closer, excited to know where they were heading.
"Is...!"
"Yeah?!"
"ANTARTICA!"
"Yeaaah-Wait, what?"
"I'm just kidding! We're going to Domino City, Yugi's hometown!"
Skit: Prince Treatment
"Awwww!~ You're such a cute princey, Winged Kuriboh!~" cooed Jaden, stroking Winged Kuriboh's fur from the back. Ever since seeing Rose's Duel Spirit after their duel, Jaden wanted to try and see what Winged Kuriboh looked as a prince, and sure enough, a tiny crown on top of his head was enough for Jaden to treat him like royalty.
Winged Kuriboh certainly enjoyed the treatment he was receiving from Jaden. Well, he always was treated kindly and like a pet everyday, so while this sort of treatment was no different than any other day, it felt more special since Jaden's attention was 400% on him today. He purred and nuzzled closer to Jaden; the squeals coming from her as proof of her happiness.
Meanwhile, while watching over Jaden, several of Jaden's Duel Spirits were increasingly growing jealous over Winged Kuriboh's special treatment. They couldn't go due to having heroic duties and other things, so they were stuck watching Winged Kuriboh's treatment while stopping a couple of Duel Monster burglars from stealing money from a bank.
"That's not fair!" scowled Flame Wingman, burning an EARTH Attribute Duel Monster to the ground.
"He's taking advantage of his small form to win over Jaden's heart!" growled Neos, kicking another Duel Monster over to the moon with all his might. "She should be treating others with the same treatment!"
"Uh...Guys? Where did the Hero Kids, Pikeru, and all the other kids go to?" wondered Bubbleman, trapping a villain within a large bubble cage,
"Yay!" cheered Jaden, being crowded by more of her Duel Spirits, such as the Hero Kids, White Magician Pikeru, Wroughtweiler, and more of the smaller Duel Spirits she kept within her deck.
Winged Kuriboh rolled his eyes and sighed before cooing over another stroke from Jaden. He had his fun while it lasted, but it was nice to be treated so kindly by a kind-hearted master like Jaden. In his eyes, Jaden was his one and only true princess.
Skit: Princess Play
"That reminds me," said Syrus. "The whole Frog Prince thing makes me think...I wonder what this year's play is going to be about?"
"What do you mean?" wondered Hassleberry.
"Once, every year, Duel Academy hosts a play, and the theme is decided upon majority vote," explained Bastion. "Last year, we had a play about Snow White. It...didn't end disastrous, but there were some...unfortunate mistakes."
"My fault, sorry," apologized Syrus, recalling the play from last year.
"What are you talking about?" asked Hassleberry.
"Well, during the play, I was the speaker and I may have dropped the speech cards I was supposed to say, so I accidentally gave wrong directions and messed up the plotline. But on the other hand, at least Jaden didn't have to kiss Atticus! And we got to watch Crowler get stomped and stepped on, too!"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! This, I gotta here!" Hassleberry said, interested from hearing the last two details. "...And what's this about kissing?!"
Sorry for the long wait, but I finally managed to finish! ALSO, IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
For those wondering whom Jaden will end up with, I've had some thoughts and I've decided that Jaden will have a separate ending for those that have a potential chance with her! It's like one of those dating games where your character can only choose one guy to choose, and that's their ending! For example, I could use an entire chapter about an ending with Jaden and Jesse, or another chapter with Jaden and another boy like Syrus.
The reason why is because I constantly get requested on which person is best for Jaden, and I decided that the best solution is for every boy to have their own happy ending with Jaden in separate chapters at the end of this story. That way, everyone's happy! The decision is final, and nobody can change my mind! It'll be like two birds with one stone!
See ya! Oh, and polling's closed thanks to my decision!
