Day 33: Sunday the 21st, Lamashan, 4707

I woke up to Savah's face being right in front of mine while I was laying on my back. She was smiling and had an impish look in her eyes. I asked her if she was feeling better. She started kissing me, so I guess she was. We got up together after a while and got dressed. I used my prestidigitation powers on both of us and the whole of the room. It took a little while, but it felt good to help Savah out like this again.

We left the room to enter the break room together, and Arika was sitting at the table. I raised one of my eyebrow a little and Arika instantly told us that Oren had let her in when she got here a few minutes ago. She added that he was getting bathed and dressed for the day. I asked her if he had mentioned anything about breakfast. She just shrugged and said that he had not mentioned anything. I looked to Savah and she kind of shrugged. I told everyone that we should all head to the Bolting Barghest for breakfast.

Oren came out of the bathroom and said that he thought that the Barghest only did burgers. I kind of shrugged and said that the might have started making something else today. Savah looked at me and I whispered to her that I might have made a stop at the Barghest yesterday morning to make some suggestions to Jonathan. She sighed and said that it figured. I told her that I couldn't help it.

Since we were all dressed and ready, we headed out and started on our way to the Bolting Barghest. As we were leaving, I locked every door behind us. Oren and Savah looked at it a little odd, and I told them that I had ran off some people looking to break in last night after the show. Oren was a bit pissed at that and said that he would talk to Sheriff Hemlock about it and that he would try to get a watch over the place while we were all out for the night at the Theater. I looked at him a bit oddly, and he said that he was treating Arika to a show, and since it was me, he was sure it would be good.

We made our way down Sand Street and past Alma's Bakery. I know she calls it Sandpoint Savories, but I mean I'll always think of it as Alma's Bakery. I asked everyone to hold up and I went in to the bakery and Alma smiled at me. She had a display of her new pastries front and center. I asked her what she was charging for her new items. She said that she was charging a copper each, or a dozen for a silver. I asked her if I could get two dozen, that I was going to drop them off at the Sandpoint Garrison.

Alma smiled at me and said that she had figured that I would do something like that she had a box of them ready for me. I gave her two silver and took the box, thanking her. She smiled and said that it would probably help get interest in the new products. I left the bakery with the box in hand and brought it out to the group. I told them that we were stopping off at the Sandpoint Garrison to drop off these. Savah looked a bit confused, and I told them that I had made sure I got enough for each of them to have one too.

They each grabbed one and tried it. Arika liked her mother's new creation, Oren didn't know what to think, and Savah kind of liked it. I told them all that I hoped that later on there would be other variants. Arika nodded and said that if she knew her mother and her sister, there definitely would more variants in the future. We made our way to the Sandpoint Garrison. We all went in and Oren went to talk to Sheriff Hemlock, while Arika took us to the break room. There were a couple of guards there and I told them all that we had brought a treat for each of them.

I set the box on the table and told them all thanks for looking out for the town. Vachedi, Jubal, and Silver all tried one while Quera stood back and waited. I noted that they were all wearing the tunics instead of their normal chain shirts. Vachedi noted that I had seen the tunics and said that he really appreciated the lightness and the freedom to move of the material. Quera noted that it was kind of scratchy and that it tore up the clothes that she wore underneath it. Savah told her that this was predicted, and that I had suggested that they get a staff mage that can do free mending spells for the guard. That shut Quera up.

I thanked all of the guards again and Sheriff Hemlock came in with Oren. He nodded to me, went over to the box of doughnuts, and grabbed one. He took a bite and looked at me. He asked me where we got these, and I told him Alma's. He nodded and said that he would have to talk to Alma about getting them delivered daily for the guards. Vachedi said that he'd appreciate it at the very least. I told them all that it was a tradition where I was from that the town guard would have these with coffee in the morning. The Sheriff noted that they would go good together.

I thanked them all again and said we head out for breakfast at the Bolting Barghest. Vachedi said with a little incredulity that he appreciated our devotion to beef but having it for breakfast seemed just a little hardcore, even for him. I told him that I had heard that Jonathan was going to be making something different for the mornings. He asked wat kinds of things, and I said that I didn't know yet, but that if I had to guess, something with eggs. He smiled and said that he would have to check it out some day. I told him that I didn't think that he would be disappointed.

We left the Garrison and headed on to the Bolting Barghest. Oren told us that he talked with Sheriff Hemlock, and the Sheriff noted that he would step up the watch patrols in the area for tonight, since we would all be out of the building. I asked him to pass on my thanks to the Sheriff when they caught up together. Oren said that the Sheriff had anticipated me saying this and said that he had a message to pass on to me. The Sheriff had said that "I would understand him saying that he was protecting a strategic resource when the regular guardians were otherwise occupied". I smiled and said that I definitely understood that.

We got to the Bolting Barghest and the place had a lot more activity today. We saw that there was a table that was still open and enough seats for all of us. A skinny teenager came up with some paper menus and handed them to us. He welcomed us to the Bolting Barghest and asked us if we would need some time to order. I looked to the rest of them and they indicated that they didn't know what they wanted yet, and I told him to check back with us in a few minutes. The kid nodded and said that he would be back.

They all looked over the menus and I guess they couldn't decide. I looked and saw that they had a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bun sandwich, with hash-browns and juice. I told them that I would be getting that, and Savah said that she would try the sausage, egg, and cheese one. Arika noted that she had seen her mother baking these buns yesterday. Oren said that he would have the ham one, and Arika picked the same. I looked over to the where the teenager was and he saw me looking and rushed over.

The teenager asked if we were ready, and I said that we were. He pulled out a small chalkboard and wrote down some notes as we ordered. We all told him what we wanted. He told us that he would get it out to us as soon as possible. I nodded and asked how much it was. He told us it was four silver for the lot of them, and I gave the kid a gold piece. He asked if I wanted change, and I told him to split the change as a tip between him and the cook staff. The kid nodded and went off to place our orders.

I looked to everyone else and they looked a little confused at me. I told them that it was a custom back where I was from to give those who do good work a tip, Savah note that this was probably more than the kid would make in a day normally. I looked confused and asked her how much people would normally make in a day here. She told me that we could go over all of this later, at home. I thanked her and said that I was just glad that I had her to help me. I had not really every thought to ask what the standard rates for jobs are here. I just know what I got paid for the things that I did.

The kid came back with our orders very quickly and handed them out to us. I thanked him and he asked if I was certain about the tip. Savah said that I was, but that he should definitely pass it along to the others as well. He said that he would and asked if we need anything else. I looked to everyone else and said no, that I thought that we were good. The kid went back to serving others.

We all had our meals and I asked everyone what they thought of their meals. Savah said that she might have to try the bacon one next time, while Oren and Arika both said that they liked their ham ones. I told them that I thought that Jonathan really was trying to make something nice here. Oren agreed and said that definitely thought that this place had potential. Savah asked me why Jonathan was focusing on sandwiches. I told her that I had told him stories about the kinds of eateries where I was from and he took a liking to them. Also, that they are easy to take and go.

Arika and Oren nodded to that and we finished our meal. I used my prestidigitation powers to clean up all of our dishes, cups, and hands from the food. I noted to myself that I would have to recommend something that could do this to Jonathan the next time we had a minute. I asked the teenager to get Jonathan, if he was available. The kid said that he would try, and I told him to tell Jonathan that David was out here.

The kid went off and I asked where Oren and Arika were going to be stationed today, and Arika said that they were doing gate duty for the day until the play. I perked up and told them that if they saw Dame Rebekah, Chelger, Shalelu, or Faunra to ask them to come to the show tonight. Oren said that they would pass the message on. They got up to leave as Jonathan was just coming out. He came over and hugged me, saying that this change for the morning was just what the place needed. I thanked him and said that he was the one who was making it all work.

Jonathan shook Oren's hand as they said they had to leave, and said that he was always glad to have a city guard here in his establishment. Arika thanked him and they both headed out. Jonathan sat down with us and noted that we didn't need to pay for food if we came here, and I said that we still needed to set a good example for the rest of the town, right. Savah just shook her head with a mirthful smile. Jonathan said that this breakfast menu was a great idea, and that he was making a good amount on it. Enough to hire someone to run the floor while he cooked and Shayliss ran the counter. Just then, Shayliss motioned to get his attention, and he got up, to say he had more cooking to do. I asked him to come to the theater tonight and to bring Shayliss too. He said that he would be there and smiled as he went back to the kitchen.

Savah and I got up and headed back to the Armory. We passed Mayor Deverin as she was walking to the Town Hall. We greeted each other and the Mayor asked us if we could follow her. Savah and I looked at each other, shrugged, and told the Mayor that we would. We all went to her office and the Mayor had us shut the door behind us. The Mayor told us that it looked like I was playing a dangerous game. She noted that by upsetting both the remainders of the Scarnetti and the Kaijitsu clans, there could be a call for my exile from the community. I looked to Savah to see if I should confide in the Mayor. She seemed to understand why I was looking to her and told me that it was for the best to tell her. The Mayor was lost, and asked what I should tell her.

I told the Mayor how I had been brought in to a "public feud" with both Cyrdak and Ameiko for a fun activity to keep those two entertained. I told her that I was completely in favor of Ameiko having a good reason to currently vote against me in the council meetings, and with Titus. It keeps him mollified while allowing her to vote for things she really feels is valid when she needs to without seeming like she is just always voting against him. The Mayor shook her head and said that she was going to have to read that book that I had given her sooner rather than later.

I told the Mayor that I had big plans once I got things figured out and that I would be trying to make her town very prosperous over time. The Mayor asked what kind of plans and Savah told her that I would be looking to make vehicles that could drop the travel time from here to Magnimar to a few hours rather than a day. The Mayor asked if this was really possible, and I told her that I had arrived to this world in a vehicle that, provided the roads were right, could make the trip in an hour or less. The Mayor seemed incredulous of it until Savah told her that Dame Rebekah had said that she had seen the vehicle herself.

Mayor Deverin asked if I would be taking over space in town for that project. I told her that I would likely be building the factory outside of town, once I got everything up to speed, and that I would be training people from the town to do the jobs, if they wanted. I added that once I got everything figured out, I would be talking it over with whichever members of the council that she thought needed to know. I added that I didn't think that my vehicles would change the world, because magic was still better, but that anyone who could afford a heavy warhorse with all the required equipment could probably save up a bit more and afford one of the lighter vehicles, and that the larger vehicles might even be similarly comparable to the cost of a wagon and the required horses.

The Mayor shook her head and said that she didn't think that it would work but that as long as I didn't destroy any other businesses, I likely would not be run out of town. I told her that she had a much better understanding of that than I did, and that going forward, I wouldn't be putting things into play before asking her second. The Mayor raised an eyebrow before I explained that I had to ask Savah first. They both laughed a little with that. I asked the Mayor if she had any other things that she needed to discuss right now. She said no, but that she looked forward to checking out the show tonight. I thanked her for her plans to attended and we stated that we had to head back to the Armory.

We started out on our trip back to the Armory. We waved hello to people as we passed, and got back without too much issue. While we were walking I had an idea about how to control the temperature of the oven more precisely, by using a homemade tri-metallic thermometer. I couldn't use the standard of gold, silver, and platinum, but I could substitute out the silver and gold (which have melted at the temperatures I need, with wrought Iron and another material, even just cast iron. The difference between those two and platinum are sufficient to allow for an accurate Breguet's thermometer. Once I can track the temperature, I can hook it up to gas lines and use them to keep the ovens hot. I can make oxyhydrogen gas for the gas. This might just work out after all.

We were back in the Armory before Savah broke me out of my reverie. She asked me what I was thinking about. I told her that I had an idea that might work to keep track of the temperature in the oven more accurately and taken to the next step, I could make it so that it maintained the temperature itself. She asked if I would be able to do that quickly, and I shook my head. I told her that it would take a lot of time and effort to study and make sure that it was right, so it was a long term thing. She nodded and said that it was good that I was looking into freeing up time to spend with her. I smiled and asked what plans she had for the day.

Savah said that she wasn't opening up the shop today, since it was Sunday, but that she would normally clean up the shop and straighten her accounts up on Sundays before she met me. I smiled and told her that I think that I can help with both of those if she wants. She smiled and said that she would welcome the help. We went into the Armory and I started using prestidigitation to clean the store, starting with the roof and the walls while Savah collected all of the various equipment for sale into a sorted pile. I cleaned all of the items as they overlapped, and then counters and stands before then cleaning the floor. Then I used the power to polish everything. All and all, it took less than five minutes to get everything cleaned and polished.

Savah noted that this was a much quicker way to do this than her method, and I quipped back that I think I missed something great, seeing her with a feather duster. She shot me a look and I shut my mouth. I asked where her accounts were for what she sold. She took me to a ledger where everything was written down on different pages, a bit haphazardly. It was good for the time, but I was a seasoned user of Excel. I got out a few sheets of blank paper and my tablet. I typed out what I needed to be printed out in an Excel file that I named Shop Finance, because why not, and created a registry of everything that was in the shop.

Savah helped out with making sure that I had everything in the shop in the spreadsheet I created. I put the item, with the price it was bought for, the person she bought it from, a column for when she bought it, a column for the price that she was asking for it, her minimum price, and two more columns that were left blank for the future. The first one was when it was sold and the second was who it was sold to. I used my scrivener's chant power to reproduce this for a shop inventory.

Savah asked if I was going to keep the file on my tablet. I told her that if she wanted me to, I would delete it, but if she wanted me to keep it, I would. I told her that I didn't mind deleting it if she wanted, or I could keep the file and add to it whenever she wanted. I told her that I could also calculate who much profit she made off of each item automatically, once we entered in the sale price, and I could even break it down into how much it made based on how many days she had the item. Savah asked me to explain that one, and I told her that I use the tablet to automatically do the math required to get her profit, how much it sold for minus how much she bought it for, and then divide that profit amount based on how many days the item was in the shop.

Savah asked what good that would do, and I presented her with a scenario. I told her to think which type of item she made more profit off of over time. I asked her how long it might take to sell a suit of Banded Mail Armor. She thought back and said that the last time she sold a set was about two years ago. I put the date two years before current in my spreadsheet. I asked her how much she paid for it and how much she sold it for. She told me both of those figures, and I put them into the spreadsheet. She had about a fifty percent markup from buy to sell. Not bad. I asked her how often she sold daggers. She said that she sold a dagger about every three days and got ahead of me saying how much they cost her and what she sold them for. I said let's count it as every five days, for the example. I put the numbers into the spreadsheet and showed her how she made approximately eleven copper pieces of profit each day on the Banded Mail Armor. I showed her that she made approximately thirteen copper pieces of profit a day on the dagger.

Savah took it in and asked what it was all good for. I told her that individually, not much, but by increasing the amount of data that she puts into the spreadsheet, she can plan for trends of how much to buy, especially when she can get a deal on buying the right items at a cheaper deal for her. She thought about it for a minute and said that she might have to think about this more, and I asked her if she wanted me to delete the file. She told me not yet, and looked deep in thought. I might have just brought speculation to the town of Sandpoint.

I waited a few minutes and asked if she needed help with anything else before I got ready to head to the Theater, since Cyrdak wanted me there a lot earlier today. She shook free from her thoughts and said that she could use my help in choosing what to wear tonight. I followed her into the bedroom to help her pick something out.

It was about lunchtime when we had gotten fixed on what she was wearing to the Theater. It was the dress that she had worn the first time to the Theater with me, with the stole and everything else. I smiled when I saw her and asked her what she was going to do with the rest of her day. She said that she would think of something, and smiled. I told her to have a good day, and that I hoped to see her in the balcony when the show started. She said that she would be there, and we kissed as I left to head to meet with Cyrdak at his Theater.

I made my way through the across Sand Alley, to cut across Main Street, seeing the different people pulling carts for wagons and what not, to take Rusty Nail Alley to the Drunkard's Walk to go in the crew door for the Theater. Cyrdak was there waiting for me. He asked me if I was ready to listen to him for his advice. I told him that I was, and that this was why I was getting here early. He nodded and escorted me up to his office. He told me that the actors were all prepared for this change to the script, but that I had not seen it yet. He handed me the script and I skimmed through it to get a good idea of any changes. It seemed that he had changed the tenor and cadence of my lines to be more of a narration than a performing part. He also included the person who was my understudy in the role that I was originally in.

I asked him if this means that he wasn't trying to get me to act anymore, and Cyrdak told me that he knew better than to try to make a tortoise be a hare. I told him that I was confused with that idiom, and he explained it to me that a tortoise is scaly, has a shell, and is long-living. A hair is furry, soft, and lives quick lives. I shrugged and said that it makes sense. I told him that where I was from had a parable about a tortoise and a hare, but the meaning was a lot different. He asked me to relay the story and I did.

Cyrdak listened and said that he could see why it was a bit different for me, but that it was close enough to work. I agreed and he said that he would hold on to that story in case he needed it later. I welcomed him to keep it, and that if I knew any others, I might give him them. Cyrdak asked me with a wink if I had "stolen" these stories too. I smiled and told him that these stories were known as public domain where I was from, and that no one could make a claim on them. He smiled and said that from what he was told by one of the people at the counsel, the only crime that I could have been charged with here would be making a copy of something that someone had set out for people to copy.

I told him that other could have considered that I had prevented a company from getting money from me by getting the things for free. Cyrdak asked me if they would have gotten the money from me if I had not copied the books, and I told him that likely no. He laughed for a minute and then got serious. He asked me what I had said that had made Titus burst out laughing. He said that Hayliss would not tell him. I told him that I had simply offered to have the truth-telling spell cast on me whenever they wanted, and then offered everyone a chance to try anything from my old world. Cyrdak asked what I meant, and I asked if he had a mug of coffee.

Cyrdak grabbed a mug and got some coffee for me. I spent about half a minute changing the liquid inside bit by bit into a reasonable facsimile of Dr. Pepper. I offered for him to try it, and he looked at me. I told him that I had only changed what he should sense from it, not what it actually was. He told me that if he had to guess, that I had used a prestidigitation effect to change the coffee, and asked why I didn't just change the substance as a whole. I looked at him like he had just told me that the First law of Thermodynamics was just a suggestion and realized that he was telling the truth. I asked him if he could give me a primer on what he knew about the uses of Prestidigitation that he knows of, and he said that if I perform well tonight, that he would consider it. I thanked him and said that I should go get dressed for the last rehearsal and he wished me well.

I went to the backstage area and got to my costume. It smelled like it had been filled with feces and left to bake in the sun. I used my prestidigitation powers to clean and re-scent the clothing to be more pleasing. I got dressed and headed to the person who was doing makeup. I apologized for the previous two nights, and told them that I hoped that my new role would be able to fit better into the production. The guy just shook his head and said that he hated doing the same makeup twice for the same showing. I sat motionless and waited for the makeup artist to be done.

When they were done I went to find the person who was my former understudy, and he seemed to be talking to some of his other co-stars. I went to shake his hand and he didn't want to at first. I told him that he should have been having the role the whole time, and he just walked off. Well, it's official, he's a dick. I looked around and found where I was supposed to be for the show.

We all got into position and I started my lines. I felt that I kind of flubbed some, but the play went a LOT smoother than when I was trying to act. The actors seemed to hate me less. A couple of them came up and told me that this was a much better performance than my acting. I thanked them and told them that I tried to tell Cyrdak that I really couldn't act to save my life. They gave me some hopeful pointers and we all split up to get some light food or drink and take whatever breaks we would need before the last showing.

I decided that I should take the opportunity to take a look at that Tome of Epics book that I had. I also decided that I would start up my prestidigitation ability and keep it running throughout the performance, to keep me cooled off and to add some effects that looked like they would help. I ran the idea by Cyrdak, and he seemed to be okay with it. I decided to get back to my journal up to date. After finishing it up, I figured that I would I wait with the rest of the cast until the curtain call came.

The call came and I made my way up to my spot. The curtain rose and I made my opening speech. I had used my prestidigitation powers to influence my performance, by making my voice reverb at the right points. I think it helped. The show went fairly well, and the applause was very good. I looked up at one time to see that Savah was on the Balcony, looking stunning. I saw that all of the group and their significant others were up there as well.

When the show was over, Cyrdak came down and clapped me on the shoulder. He noted that this was a much better performance than the nights before. I looked over to the rest of the cast and they were all smiling. I told them that I just managed to get up to their level and that they were the true performers. I just gave a good yarn. Many of them smiled and Cyrdak told everyone that we were all heading over to Cracktooth's for the post show celebration, and then he looked at me. I told him that I was heading there too, as I was expecting Savah to be there waiting for me already.

We all got changed quickly and my former understudy helped me get my armor on. He nodded and asked if it really stopped weapons. I told him to try to stab it with a dagger. He tried and the dagger didn't pierce the breastplate. He seemed amazed that this material was as light as it was, and yet it could prevent an attack as well as it did. I told him that Savah's Armory sells the armor on a custom order basis.

He asked what it cost, and I told him that Savah had not told me what she charges for them. I added that I had made this set shortly after I had arrived in town. He asked me if I could make another set. I told him that I had sold the secret to making the armor to two people, and Savah was one of them, so I couldn't do that anymore. He said that he kind of understood that. I said that I could talk to her to find out the price, and he just shrugged and said that he would talk to her some other time.

The cast all got together and headed to Cracktooth's. Cyrdak bust in before us and ordered an Understudy and an order of Drunkfish vittles for all of the cast. The cast all cheered as Cyrdak congratulated them. Cyrdak got a bottle of Director's Choice and a fondue set and had them taken to one of the group rooms. Savah and everyone else were already there. Cyrdak sat down next to Jaspar and that left me alone standing in front of everyone. They all started clapping, including Faunra and Dame Rebekah. I blushed a bit and sat down next to Savah. She cuddled up to me and told me that I did just fine.

We all dived in to the fondue and had a glass each of the sweet blackberry wine. I asked everyone what they had been doing since Thistletop. I looked around and Jonathan volunteered that Shayliss and him had started the restaurant, and Faunra noted that she had not tried it yet. I told her that she really had to, that they were great. I told her that Jonathan had gotten them just right and had even had to get help to keep the place running efficiently! Dame Rebekah noted that she really enjoyed the burger too.

Jonathan thanked her, and said that Shayliss was the real wonder for the place. She was the one who was the people person, who staffed the counter. He added that he was just the chef. Shayliss nestled up to Jonathan and said that she was proud of how well their tavern was doing. Jonathan thanked me for the ideas for the morning menu. I told the group that I was just passing along stuff that worked for him to use.

I looked over to Faunra and Shalelu, and they said that they were getting the goblin babies to a reasonable group of goblins farther out, to raise them safely away from the town of Sandpoint. Shalelu noted that she had been watching them for years and they have been mostly peaceful the whole time. I nodded and thanked them for the good work they were doing keeping Sandpoint safe. Jonathan thanked them both and said that he might be interested in getting venison and other meats from the forest if they would like to drop by tomorrow morning to discuss it. Shalelu looked to Faunra, and said they would drop by.

I looked at Dame Rebekah and Chelger, and they sighed a little before giving their contribution. They told me that they were working on reclaiming the temple of… Echidna… on Thistletop. It was difficult since they could only manage a consecrate effect and not a longer lasting Hallow. I asked if we needed to head to Magnimar to find someone who could cast the spell or get a… scroll… looking at Faunra. Faunra subtly nodded to my saying scroll, so I guess I got the type of item correct. Dame Rebekah shook her head, and noted that it was progressing, but just slowly. I nodded and asked her if she had any plans to do the same to the one under the Glassworks.

Dame Rebekah said that she had not given it any thought since I was there to defend against anything that came up. She looked like she remembered something and asked if we had the stench again. I told her no, but that my cousin Oren had moved in to help look over the building. Dame Rebekah looked over at Oren and said that it was good that we both were looking over the place. I told her that I was certain that Savah alone could do it, but I liked to be near her, so I guess I had to stay there. Savah hit me playfully, and said that she didn't mind me being there either.

Cyrdak noted that he had seen that the town guard and the clerics at the cathedral were all sporting these fantastic new sets of armor, quite akin to what the under layer of my armor was. I just shrugged and noted that Savah would be the one to talk to about it. He smiled and said that he was sure that he would. He wondered out loud what we might have gotten as a tradeoff for those great armors. I shrugged and said that I didn't handle the business aspect of things, that I was just a worker bee.

We all had a good time for the rest of the night and enjoyed each other's successes. After a while, Jonathan and Shayliss noted that they had to get ready for work in the morning. Dame Rebekah and Chelger both noted that they had to do morning prayers, and Oren noted that him and Arika both had morning shifts as well. I told them all that I was very thankful for them being here for this show and that I hoped to get caught up with them more in the following days.

Dame Rebekah, Chelger, Faunra, and Shalelu all headed to The Rusty Dragon for their temporary rooms. Oren noted that he was escorting Arika home, and that he would catch up us later. That left Cyrdak and Jasper with Savah and myself at the room. Jesk came in and said that he would like to talk to the four of us. I looked blankly at the rest of the group in the room, and Cyrdak welcomed him in. Jesk told us that he was glad about the proceeds tonight, and that if we can get something like that every week, he could afford to hire another attendant to work only at the theater.

I told him that I was glad for his success, but that it was Cyrdak that was to proprietor of the Theater. Jesk nodded and told me and Savah that he was going to do the chocolate fondue set for the wedding. He noted that it would be better for him if we could find a silver set, and Savah said that we would look into finding one the next time we were in Magnimar. I smiled and said sure. Savah whispered to me that she was getting tired, and I took the hint and told the others that we should be heading out. We headed back to the Armory and the trip was fairly uneventful. We cut across Main Street from Bent Street to Rat Alley and turned left to head down Glass Street to get to the Glassworks office entrance.

Rip Charge was there, waiting for us. He told us that nothing major had happened during his shift, and that he was glad that he had a chance to catch up with us. He asked if he could talk to Savah for a bit, and I shrugged and looked at her. She asked him what he needed and he said that he'd like to look into purchasing the armor that I wore piece by piece if it was possible. She asked him if he could drop by tomorrow during the day, and he said that he would.

We went inside the Glassworks Office and locked everything up after us. Oren wasn't up and about so we guessed that he had went to sleep. We got to the bedroom and got changed out of our attire into sleeping clothes. Savah said that she was heading to the bathroom, and I got my tablet out to make my notes. After I got halfway through my update from the show, Savah was back in and watching me while lying on the bed. She's watching me even as I type this and I can tell she's getting impatient. No notes for anything else tonight.
