Day 37: Oathday the 25th, Lamashan, 4707
Savah and I woke up together feeling really rather rested. I guess knowing that the entity that was plaguing your thoughts for weeks on end is dead can lead to that kind of rest. We got up and the storm was still going on. It was raging pretty hard. I got up and got dressed while Savah stayed wrapped up in the sheets. I went out to the break room and Faunra was there, eating some of the food we had. It took me a second to remember that I had indeed given her a key, not so long ago, and that I should have expected her here. She was wearing her armor and it looked shinier and more impressive than it did before. I'm guessing that she took the time to enchant it. There was something in front of her on the table. It was my machete!
I looked at her, about to ask a question, and she cut me off, saying that she picked it up after the fight, and had spent some time doing a ritual to transfer the enchantment from the knife that had cut me to the sword. I thanked her greatly for it and asked if I could pick it up. She nodded and asked if she could my rings. I shrugged and took both of my rings off. She went back off downstairs and I took some practice swings with my recovered and enhanced machete. I remembered what I came out for, and got to making food for Savah and myself. I decided to set up a fairly large platter of food for five people, since Faunra might come back up for food, and brought it all out to the break room.
I went back to the bedroom with coffee for Savah and my machete. I put the machete in the sheath and brought the coffee over to Savah. She sat up and smiled to me as she took her first few sips. She noticed that my machete was back in its sheath and she asked when that happened. I told her that Faunra had picked it up after I dropped it, and brought it back to enchant it. Savah looked at me grimly and asked if she could see the video of when it happened. I sighed and pulled out my phone. I loaded up the video of the events of yesterday and advanced it to the meeting with Aldern. I cautioned her that she would hear a loud noise. She nodded and I started the video. Savah saw Aldern rise up from his slumping posture, talk to Dame Rebekah as he did, and then leap at me and slash my throat. She saw my machete drop and then go to my neck. She saw how Faunra, Dame Rebekah, and Jonathan leapt to my defense, and how he was ended by my pistol's single shot.
Savah watched the rest of the video and how they rushed to help me after Aldern was dropped. She handed me back the phone when it was all said and done, and asked to look at my neck. I showed her where the razor had cut me, and she leaned in and kissed it. She told me that I seemed really brave and impressive with how I took Aldern down with a single shot. I told her that it was a group effort. She said that it still looked very impressive. We spent a bit more time in bed after that.
We both got up the second time and got dressed I pulled out my machete to show it off to Savah and noticed that it was dripping blood. Savah saw it and asked how it got its enchantment again. I told her that Faunra had told me that she had used a ritual to transfer the enchantment from the knife that had cut me to the sword. Savah said that this was probably linked to that, and that the blood might very well be my own. I balked a bit and asked if she thought that it was literally draining my own blood. She asked to hold onto it, and watched for a minute and said that she didn't think so, since she was holding it now and it was still dripping. I took it back and sheathed it and prestidigitated the floor clean.
She said that it was very much linked to me now, so I probably should not lose it. I agreed with her and we finished getting dressed for the day. Faunra was sitting outside in the break room, with my rings in front of her. I asked Faunra about the dripping blood and if it was actually draining from my body. She shook her head and said that the blood was likely stored from the last strike the war razor took, which just so happened to be my own blood. Savah stepped forward and thanked Faunra for her devotion to keeping me safe. Faunra said that I had stepped in to try to keep other members of the group safe, so it only made sense to try to get the enemy down as quickly as possible.
I took the rings that were in front of her and asked what they would do. She said that the Raven ring, I told her that it was the Aegishjalmur rune, she continued, was a simple protection field to try to keep me safer from the attacks of others. Faunra continued with saying that something odd happened with the other ring. She said that the power she was trying to move over was just an increase in acrobatic ability in the way of leaps and jumping, but the ring wouldn't accept that power. The magic that sprung up in the ring wasn't controlled by the ritual, like it normally is. Faunra noted that the ring had developed a series of powers similar to something that she had encountered back in her home village. This ring had a few odd powers that were unrelated to that item, but seemed to be thematically linked. The ring gave an increased ability with perceptive and survival based abilities, it also had the power to forecast the weather for the next two days, once per day, and that it acted like a compass, illuminating the northern most stave when willed. Faunra paused for a moment before continuing by saying that it had some additional powers, in that the whole ring could be ordered to illuminate with the light of a torch. Faunra finished with saying that it also developed a hollow that could also hold a stone inside. Faunra noted that the ring had a stone already inside, and that the stone appeared to be a cracked dusty rose quartz prism. She said that she felt that it might help me react to danger.
It was a bit for me to take in, but I remembered what the ring's symbol meant. I told Faunra that the ring's symbol means that, "if this sign is carried, one will never lose one's way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known". Faunra nodded and said that it made sense that the two types of magic would interact with each other in this way. Faunra asked if I had gotten my own blood on this ring before and I told her that I definitely had, either on this world or my old one. Faunra nodded and said that she had to get back to work. And then she did.
Savah looked at me and I shrugged. Savah told me that she had to get her shop opened up, and wished me luck with my work. I wished her the same and I went into the workshop. I started putting everything together and within an hour, Vaeren had come in to talk to me about the equations while I was putting the finishing touches on the bike. Vaeren asked me if I had given any consideration to having any source of light ahead of me. I thought for a minute and thanked him for the brainstorm he had given me. I got one of the glowing skulls that were the everburning torch things and put some mirrored glass behind it and to the sides a bit. It was now acting like a bullseye lantern, attached to the front. My bike was starting to look a bit more like Ghostrider's hell-cycle. I guess all I needed now was for the wheels to be burning and I would be all set.
The motorcycle was almost fully put together, and I just needed to take it out for a final spin to make sure that everything worked after finishing the assembly. Vaeren helped me finish the assembly and asked what I was going to do next when it was all said and done. I noted that it would be a good time to try this in bad weather just to see how it works. Vaeren and I cleared up the way out to the Glass Street. Then we got the bike out and ready. I noted that the rain was coming down fairly hard. Vaeren asked if I was sure that I wanted to try it out in this weather.
I locked up behind us and we went down to the front of the Armory. I opened up the door to the Armory and saw that Savah was talking with a customer. She was just finishing up a sale. She was selling a longsword with a saw edge on one side to a budding adventurer. She threw in a whetstone to seal the deal and the adventurer tried chatting her up. She looked flat at the guy and said that she was engaged. The adventurer tried claiming that the guy that she was engaged to couldn't possibly be as important as he was. Savah glanced over to me and I walked in, walked straight up to her, and hugged her. We kissed and I asked her if she wanted to see my new invention's first test.
The adventurer balked and headed out of the store. Savah told me after he left that she had it under control. I told her that I knew that she did, I just wanted her to know that I was trying out the motorcycle for the first time and wanted to know if she wanted to watch. Savah asked if I was sure that I wanted to do it in this weather. I told her that I was going to give it a try at least, just to see if it could work right. She said sure, so we exiting the Armory and locked up quickly and made our way down to the end of Main Street.
I got on the bike and Savah looked it over. She smiled at the skull and asked if it was intended to look evil. I said that there was a story about a man back where I was from that used skull imagery to cause bad guys to fear him. She nodded and said that it certainly looked impressive enough. I thanked her and got on the velocipede. I lowered my goggles and got myself prepped. I psyched myself up with Vaeren and Savah watching. Just before I took off, I heard Savah say that she believed in me.
I gunned the throttle and was over thirty feet away in the first five seconds. I was handling the bike like I was a pro. I was glad that I chose this day to test because there was not a lot of people on the streets. I pulled the throttle back further and had cleared a total of one hundred feet in ten seconds. I was still doing good, so I decided to take this as fast as I could get it to go, and goosed the throttle a little bit more. My speed ramped up further, and had gone another one hundred feet in that next five seconds. This motorcycle was handling just as well as any bicycle or dirt bike I had ever ridden.
I dumped the throttle the rest of the way and I was going at decent fifteen miles an hour at this point. I was used to driving a lot faster, and even biking at faster than this, so I was prepared for evading people as I saw them. As I went between the Garrison and the Town Hall, a couple of the guard watched me pass by. I took the turn on to Church Street a little fast, but still made it. I was going a little bit faster than I probably should in this weather, but I was finally having some wholesome fun. I took Church Street fairly well, with the turn that I needed to take going fairly well. I knew that I was going to have a hard turn up ahead so I slowed down a bit to take the turn onto Cliff Street. I made the turn fairly well and was on Cliff Street.
I accelerated back up and turned back onto High Street. I was impressed with how quiet this vehicle actually was. I could hear the turbine spinning, and a little bit of boiling/bubbling from the I gunned the throttle and the bike lurched forward, almost popping up on one wheel. I burned down through High Street, much to the amusement of the guards who had come outside to watch. Paltero, Rip and Sheriff Hemlock were all watching as I drove past them. I nodded to them briefly and took note of how far I had to go before I would reach Savah and Vaeren. I eased off the throttle to try to get a smooth stop. I dropped the speed down to around ten miles an hour in the first five seconds. I lowered the throttle a little more and dropped the speed down to around four and a half miles an hour.
I rode up to Savah and Vaeren while decreasing the throttle to nothing and activating the brake when I got close enough to pull right up to them. I smiled to Savah and asked her if she wanted to ride on the back for a test run. She hopped on and I wheeled the bike around for a second run. Vaeren was watching the entire time. We took off on the bike and I repeated the course without much issue. Savah seemed to be enjoying it, and I warned her to hold on tight when took the turns when we started out, which she took full and complete advantage of.
When we got back she noted that she might actually like something like this, but that a horse could probably go faster than this. I nodded and said that it was entirely likely that in the short distance, a horse could easily outpace this, but that this can keep the speed up for hours. Her eyes lit up, and asked if this was what I meant by saying that it would revolutionize the trips to Magnimar. I nodded and said that at the top speed, this could take the trip from Sandpoint to Magnimar in a little under four hours, instead of two days of riding. Savah asked if this could be made bigger, and I told her that it definitely could, but that it would cost more than this one.
Savah got off the back of the motorcycle, and congratulated me on my work. Vaeren asked if he could try it, and I told him that I would only be comfortable with other people being passengers right now. Vaeren noted that he was okay with that, and he climbed on. I shrugged and fished for a kiss from Savah for luck. She happily obliged and watched for the third run that I would take. I cautioned Vaeren that he would need to hold on tight at the turns. He nodded and focused on paying attention. Vaeren wasn't quite as comfortable holding on as tight as Savah did, so I had to take the turns a little slower, but I still made it through the course without falling over or crashing.
When we got back, Vaeren got off and noted that this was much faster than a normal person's speed. I nodded and said that it could probably give a run for the money for horses over the distance. I twisted the throttle a little and turned the motorcycle to head down Sand Street. Savah and Vaeren walked on either side of motorcycle, both of them asking me various questions, mostly about either about how we could go about decreasing the cost (Savah) or technical questions about some things I might change for other models (Vaeren). Then Vaeren and Savah were talking to each other about cheaper ways to get the materials in Magnimar. I was just glad that my project was a success.
I pulled away from them to pull into the old Loading Room, which I figured that I would be working to make into a garage over time. I got my bike stopped and drained the engine. I popped out the continual heat rock and locked it into a ceramic container. I drained out all of the water after the main cut off and put it all back into the boiler. There was some that was missing, leaks probably, so I figured that I would have to top it off before heading out again. I went into the workshop to fire up one of the smaller ovens, just to set my boiler system to boil the water to collect it as pure, vapor distilled water for use in the bike. I didn't lie to Ven when I told him that I foresaw that the water part of his distillery set up would be the most important part, but it was doubtful that he would want to be a part of everything now.
I double checked that the workshop doors were locked and everything was in a safe condition before heading over to Armory to check in on Savah. Sheriff Hemlock guardsmen Paltero and Rip were in the Armory talking with Savah and Vaeren when I made it in. I immediately felt that I had probably hit the last straw with the town and Sheriff Hemlock was looking to escort me out. Sheriff Hemlock noticed me and Savah turned around to beckon me over. Savah told me that the Sheriff and his men had seen me drive by on all three trips, and that they wanted to talk to me about it.
I nodded and walked over, expecting some kind of verbal assault when Sheriff Hemlock asked me if there was a way to make them fairly cheaply. I looked to Savah and then Vaeren, who both nodded slightly, before answering. I told him that the baseline model isn't nearly as fast as what I made, but that they could be made for roughly six hundred gold a piece, but that it would be better for them if they spent one thousand a pop to allow for the initial upgrade for the engine that allowed for a bit more top and acceleration speeds while decreasing the need for an outside fuel source. Sheriff Hemlock noted that these would be good things for the guardsmen that were assigned to outside tours because they could cover more ground. I agreed and said that after we got back from Magnimar and the issues there, I would start work on them. Sheriff Hemlock asked for us to make four of them for the guards, and I told him that I would work on getting them done as soon as by backlog permitted.
Sheriff Hemlock was just about to leave through the door when he turned around and said that it was a very decent performance, that even the Mayor was impressed by it. He let the door close behind them at that point and Savah came up and hugged me. Vaeren even gave me some hearty congratulations. Then he asked me what the next step was. I told him that we would need to do a couple of things to make us more independent of other people. I told them that we needed to course a whole bunch of the enchanted heat rocks and the ice crystals. After that, we needed an easy way to get copper piping and the boiler, tank, and turbine system.
Vaeren nodded and said that we would need to go to Magnimar for a lot of that. I agreed and said that I needed to head that way anyway. I told them that we wouldn't be able to leave until Faunra and everyone was ready, so it might take another five days from a best guess estimate. Savah asked if I could get another bike made in that time. I told her that I could, but that I would have to sacrifice the heat stone from her Jacuzzi to do it, and that I wasn't about to do that unless she was okay with it. Savah asked if we could get another stone for it when we got to Magnimar.
I told her that of course we could, and she told me to go ahead and work on one for her. I looked to Vaeren and he said that he would be glad to help me more with the design of the engine, and I accepted. I gave him a list of things to acquire out in town. Savah gave him a bag of coinage and told him to tell everyone but Ven that he was shopping for her. Vaeren went out the Armory door and Savah followed behind him to wish him luck, and locked the door behind him. She had a wild look in her eyes when she came back over from the door.
After a while we got dressed and left the bedroom. Faunra was in the breakroom, snacking on some of the bread, meat, and sliced cheese from the pantry, and drinking some of the cider. She seemed fairly happy munching away. I asked Faunra how it was going on the magic item creation. She told us that she was rushing through it so that she should be able to finish up fully in another day or so. I congratulated her on a job well done. She nodded and asked me about the machine that she had seen in the Loading Room. I told her that it was my new steed, and that I would be making a second one for Savah before going on to any others. Faunra asked if she could have a look at it after she was done for the day.
I told her that Vaeren was looking at it from a magical perspective, and that he might be the best person to talk to about it to get his opinions before checking it out for herself to save time, but that he was out right now, getting parts for another bike. Savah corrected me, saying two bikes. I acknowledged the correction and said two bikes. Faunra asked how long it would take to make two further bikes. I told her that since I had made the first one, and worked out the kinks, it would take a lot less time, maybe a day a bike unless I go for a lot of bells and whistles. She nodded and said that she was heading back to work, but to tell Vaeren to come talk to her when he was back.
Savah smiled and said that I likely had another person who wanted one right there. I shrugged and said that we still didn't know how horses would respond to it, and I didn't want Dame Rebekah's steed to be off put by too many mechanical monstrosities. Savah nodded and said that we would have to find out how it reacts to two before going further. We split up, Savah heading back to the Armory to open it back up and I went to the Workshop to make sure that the water was good. Vaeren came in with a whole bunch of bric-a-brac, that would be combined to make the bikes. I sorted them all out and looked to start assembling the items.
By the end of the day I had gotten two power plants set up. They looked mostly similar to the one that I had made for my bike, but a little bit lower performance and quality. They were not "sun-silver", so they would eventually rust. The tanks were iron, with the copper piping would lead to galvanic corrosion issues, but it could not be helped. It would remake Savah's and my own when we had more money and access to parts, but for now, the bikes would run. Most of the day was spent revamping the pumping systems that had been acquired to operate as turbines.
Savah came in as I was getting to a good stopping point. She looked over the engines and said that she was impressed with how fast I worked. I thanked her and said that once I did something once, it was easier afterwards. She smiled and said that it sure was. She said that we had a visitor that needed to talk to me, and I told her to escort them in. It was Cyrdak. He started out with saying that no matter when he thought that I was done impressing him, I did something else to blow him out of the water. He asked if he could see the glorious machine that I had made.
I said sure, and escorted Savah and Cyrdak over to the Loading Room. Vaeren was having a discussion about the machine with Faunra and I didn't feel like interrupting them. Cyrdak looked over in and asked brief questions about how it worked while marveling at some of the aesthetics of it. I gave him a basic level explanation about everything and answered the more in-depth follow-up questions that he had. Then he asked what it would cost to have one made. I told him that this bike that I had made had cost the equivalent of almost sixty pounds of gold, but that they could be made for much cheaper, with less high end components for roughly twenty pounds of gold, or the equivalent.
Cyrdak nodded and asked how quickly I would be able to make them. I told him that I had orders for six or seven. Faunra interrupted me with the word eight before I could continue. I shrugged and said that I could put him on the list and asked him if he wanted one. He told me that he wanted two, and that he would gladly pay in advance. Savah looked at me, I could see her eyes light up. I told him that I would need to head to Magnimar to get the materials that I needed, but that we had to head that way anyway, so we could pick the parts up there. Cyrdak said that he would talk it over with his fiancée but that he was definitely interested. I told him to make the arrangements with Savah, and he said that he would before heading out.
Savah told me that driving that through the rain, at the speed that I did had probably done more to get good word out about the vehicle than going to all of those shops and buying the odd stuff and causing controversy that way. I slapped my forehead and said that I had promised Bilivar that I would show him what I had made. I asked her if Savah wanted to take another ride on it. Before Savah could respond, Faunra yelled out that she did. I asked Savah if it's okay and she said with a wink that it would be fine just this once.
I got the heat source out of its container and filled the tank up the water. Vaeren got the doors open and Faunra got herself bundled up for the rain. We got the bike turned around and told Savah that I would take Faunra over to Wheen's and around a little bit more before coming back. Savah told me that she wished me luck and gave me a kiss. Faunra hopped on behind me, and Savah whispered something to her. Faunra grabbed around my waist and we took off. I gunned the throttle and we took off, front wheel lifting off the ground for a second before landing.
Faunra grabbed on tighter and we rocketed down Glass Street, towards Gull Street. I took the turns with banking, thankful that there were not a lot of people on the streets. As I wove my way through the streets, Faunra seemed impressed by the handling of the vehicle. We got onto Water Street, gunning the engine harder to get to Market Street. A couple of kids were playing in the rain in the market when we passed by. They all stared slack jawed as the water on the street flew up around the tires. We passed The Rusty Dragon and Ameiko just happened to be looking outside and watched as we sped by. I asked Faunra if she was willing to take a quick turn or if she wanted to take the needed turn slower.
Faunra said slower, and I gunned the throttle back further. She swore at me and we went towards the bridge. I yelled out, get clear to the guard at the bridge. Hazgan saw us and leapt out of the way as we rocketed over the bridge. I took us out into the field and put us in a gentle turn while slowing down a little. When we were at a decent speed, I aimed us back at the bridge and slowed us down to a stop at Hazgan's post. He looked over the bike and said that this was one mean construct. I told him that Sheriff Hemlock was already looking at getting some of these for the guardsmen that went out on patrol outside of town. Hazgan nodded and smiled. I goosed the throttle and took a turn onto River Street.
I didn't speed the bike up more, because we made it to Wheen's Wheels too soon. I rolled us into the Bilivar's shop. He looked up from where he was working, dropped what he was doing and ran over. He looked the bike over and whistled. He asked me how fast it went. Faunra answered Bilivar for me with just a word, fast. Bilivar seemed to appreciate that and took a look over it a bit more. He asked where he could be of use for making more of these.
I told Bilivar that more wheels would be vital. Bilivar nodded and asked if they should be of the same set up as the first wheels. I told him that they might be able to be a bit more normal wood, but yes, that they should be the same size and general characteristics. Bilivar asked how many I would need. I told him that we would need at least eight sets. Bilivar took notes and said that he could get two pairs of normal wheels fairly quickly, but more than that would take a few weeks to get more done, as steaming and bending the wood would take a while. I thanked him and said that we had to head out. Bilivar asked if he could watch the vehicle ramp up to speed and I told him that it would be fine.
I wheeled the bike around and got out to River Road. I told him to keep watching, and I turned back towards Market Street, and headed towards the bridge. I whipped the bike around and told Faunra to hold on. She gripped her hands together tight, and I gunned the throttle. Bilivar watched as I popped a wheelie heading up River Street, and then landed, continuing up towards Crab Street. I heard him cheering in the distance as we turned onto Crab Street. We slowly made our way across Festival Street to High Street. We made our way up High Street to The Bolting Barghest. I asked Faunra if she wanted to get a bite to eat. Faunra seemed to be taking the ride better now, and she got off the bike to head inside.
Jonathan came outside shortly there-after and saw the bike. I heard him whistle and he asked if this was what I had been working on the last few days. I nodded and he said that this was an awesome ride. I told him that it didn't got nearly as fast as the vehicle I arrived in, but that it could keep up a decent speed for decent period of time. He asked if I was working on more, and I said that I had a few orders for more. He nodded and said that he might have to get on the list for two of them. I told him that I wanted to make sure that there wouldn't be an issue with Dame Rebekah's steed, but that if it was all good, then I would gladly work on more for the group, after the backorders.
Jonathan nodded and said that I should keep him in mind for the future. I told him that of course I would, and that he would even have design consideration on the motorcycles that were to be made for Shayliss and himself. Jonathan looked like he agreed with that concept and Faunra came out with a couple of bags. She got back on the bike and said that we could head out. I nodded to Jonathan, and he nodded to me. I looked back forward, and gunned the throttle as I went down Tanglefoot Alley. I was just outside of Pillbug's Pantry when his door flew open and Pillbug started to head out of the store. I saw him and veered over to the other side of the Alley, but he was still close enough to get a splash of mud on his boots. He yelled at us as we banked into the turn to get back on Main Street and head back to the Armory. Faunra was laughing riotously over the portly alchemist being doused in some of nature's alchemy.
We made the turn back to Sand Street outside of Ven's General store and he was looking out at us. We got into the Loading Room where Savah and Vaeren were waiting for us. Vaeren locked the door behind us and asked us if anything interesting had happened. Faunra looked at me and started laughing again. I snickered a little and she told Vaeren and Savah that we splashed a Pillbug with some mud and it tried to roll up. Savah looked a little worried, but Faunra noted that the only thing that was splashed was his feet, and he was about to walk out into the street anyway. Savah got calmed down by that and Faunra got off the motorcycle.
I set the bike up to cool down and pulled the core when the water was evacuated and back in the tank. Savah watched me and noted that the only way to move it now was to physically push or pull it. I nodded and Faunra noted that our food was getting cold. We went to the breakroom and saw that Oren and Arika were already there. They had a takeout bag from the Hagfish, and we sat down with them and Faunra passed out the burgers and fries to Savah, Vaeren, herself, and myself. We all started eating with Oren and Arika.
Oren asked if it was true that Sheriff Hemlock had ordered four of my new machine. Savah said that it was, and that we had gotten requests for three more besides that. Faunra corrected her and said five. Savah looked at us with a bit of a questioning eye and told her Jonathan had indicated interest in having two made, one for each of him and Shayliss. Savah sighed but Faunra noted that we had also secured the wheel orders for the first two vehicles and after that. Savah nodded at that and congratulated us. We finished up our meals and Faunra said that she would be finishing up her enchanting the day after tomorrow.
I told the rest of the dinner group that I should be finishing up the bikes by the time that she was done with the items. Faunra nodded and said that we should check in with both Dame Rebekah and Jonathan to make sure that they would be ready to head to Magnimar on Starday. I nodded and flippantly decided to check my ring. I willed it to show me what the weather would be for the next two days. I saw some visions of driving winds and thunderstorms for tomorrow, but that Starday was going to be perfect for riding, so I told the others of such. Faunra noted that if she pushed it, she should be able to get the last little bit done on the enchanting and be ready for a Starday trip. Savah said that she could get what she needed to be collected for resale done by then.
Oren chimed in and said that he could start taking care of the Armory for half the day every day after that. Vaeren said that he would help keep watch over the shop when Oren was not available. Savah thanked them both and I told Vaeren that I would be trying to track down a copy of the scroll for the spell that we needed. He nodded and thanked me, saying that a new spell would be very useful. I said that I would drop by The Bolting Barghest tomorrow and inform Jonathan that we needed to be heading out on Starday. I asked Faunra if we would be picking up Shalelu on the way, and she said that she would call her once we were out of the town.
We all separated into our individual groups, with Vaeren and Faunra spending time talking about this or that magical theorem, Arika and Oren wandering off to have some time to themselves, and Savah almost dragging me into our bedroom. All in all, it was a good day.
