Wow, I am so, so, SO sorry, guys! It's been a while since I updated this but I've been extremely busy, like even more busier than ever before! It all started with school starting, and then came the online classes, and then a lot more work from online classes which became harder for me because 1) even though online classes are a bit easier than regular eye-to-eye classes, they still assign a whole ton of assignments, and 2) I'm trying to keep up with homework all while trying to study and be smart and actually get good grades!

That said, it's been pretty hectic for me, but I've been using as much as my free time as I can to try and update my fanfics, which I'm doing right now. I'm sorry if it's taken this, and I have to apology in advance, but I think there's gonna be later updates as well. I originally planned on ending season 2 for both my GX fanfics by the end of this summer, but I guess my wish couldn't come try, but hey, at least I got through more than half of season 2, so that's kinda a thing.

So, last chapter, I kinda got mixed reviews and reactions from others. Others say they liked the last chapter and how I handled Aster, but others say they didn't. and I honestly can't blame either side. To be fair, I...well, I kinda didn't enjoy Aster's failure from last chapter, even if I was building it up a bit so that he'd get his second wind soon enough. I wish that I could have done more to satisfy both sides, but at the same time, I wanted to give Aster a bit of a dressing down as well as some sort of character development for Jaden, so sorry for everyone that didn't enjoy last chapter, but I'll try my best to make up for it the best I can! That said, let the chapter commence!

"Deck?"

"Check."

"Duel disks?"

"Check."

"Picture of Jaden so that when you think you're losing, you can look at that picture, suddenly get inspiration and a power boost and then pull off some sort of pro move that'll grant you some sort of plot armor that lets you win the duel?"

"Wait, what?"

"WHA-?! I don't have that! W-Why would you say that, Hassleberry?! And why would that be on the list?!"

"Ha! Just kidding! We're all clear now!"

After gathering the things they needed for their super important mission and making sure they had everything they needed, Jaden, Hassleberry, and Syrus stood up from their shared dorm room and nodded to each other. With the three of them, they felt confident in themselves to carry out their mission with no other outside help whatsoever.

Their "super important mission" was basically the three of them storming inside the White Dorm, taking down any and all Society members that stood in their way. Their main objective was to defeat Sartorius, which would bring an end to his reign over the Society of Light once and for all. They were really confident in themselves because of several reasons. 1) They had gotten much more stronger ever since the start of the school year, especially when facing off against Society members themselves. 2) Their main key duelist was Jaden herself, who was probably much more stronger than either Hassleberry and Syrus, so she had a far better chance of defeating Sartorius than the two of them combined, though they needed to get her to him as soon as possible. 3) Sartorius didn't seem to have anymore strong duelists on his side. Sure, there were many members of the Society, but no more lieutenants or generals like the previously brainwashed Chazz or Alexis and even Bastion had left, so Sartorius was possibly the last strongest duelist standing.

As they opened the door and were about to leave, they were immediately with the sight of Chazz, Alexis, and Atticus blocking their path. Silence immediately fell between the two groups as they stared at each other; one group bewildered by the other, whereas the other group stood in their way with firm expressions on their faces.

"So...where do you think you three are going, hmm?" questioned Chazz, crossing his arms.

Syrus was the first to panic. "U-Um...we...uh...um...to take a walk! Yeah! All three of us!"

"Yeah, nothing wrong with a simple, plain, ol' walk, right?" agreed Hassleberry.

"Hmm...that's funny, because we heard something a bit differently," said Alexis. "Something like, finding out that you three planned on taking on the entire Society of Light. Alone. Without anymore backup, I might add!"

The three cowered a little upon feeling her full angry gaze. One thought pondered in their minds: How did they find out?! They had this whole thing planned just a few days ago and they never told anyone! How could this be?! They, well, they thought, were careful!

Shaking his head, Atticus sighed. "Frankly, I'm disappointed in you three. I thought you would be smarter than this, but this? This plan of yours is far too reckless and a lot likely to fail."

"What? Pfft, we're not-we're not planning on doing anything reckless!" lied Jaden, trying to grin to hide her nervousness."

"Y-Yeah! What proof do you have that we're planning on doing...what you just said?" questioned Syrus.

"We overheard you guys talking about what you planned on doing," explained Chazz. "You guys...tend to be very, VERY loud. That, and the walls seem pretty thin. Dunno why the workers didn't try and fix that problem when they rebuilt this dorm that one time."

"T-That's nothing! That's still no proof!" said Hassleberry. "What, do you have a video camera on us or something?"

"Well, not exactly a video camera, per say..." said Atticus

Chazz shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. "I thought you might say that, which is why I recorded your conversation." Taking out from his pocket a tape recorder, Chazz played it for everyone to hear.

"Okay, guys! Let's go over the plan one more time just in case! We try and sneak in as best as we can inside the White Dorm, and if we're ever discovered, we try to run to find Sartorius, and if we're surrounded, we duel down to every last duelist!"

"Yeah! I'm down with that!"

"Er...Guys? There are like, three of us, and like, a lot of guys inside. Are you sure we can take them on?"

Face paling upon hearing their plan being exposed and their voices coming from the voice recorder, Syrus frantically shook his head. "U-Uh...t-that could have been anyone! Yeah! A lot of people have very similar-sounding voices! It didn't have to be ours!"

"Yeah, keep listening you idiot."

"Don't worry, Sy! With you, me, and Hassleberry, we'll definitely be able to get our game on!"

"Do you ever have any other catchphrases you could have used, Jaden?"

"Well, I thought about using 'Gotcha' with my hand signature pose at the end of each duel, but I thought that was too short, so 'Get your game on' sounded more legit!"

"...There are hundreds of people named-"

"Truesdale, just give it up. We've been compromised," groaned Hassleberry, facepalming.

"Yeah, and for a guy who uses military terms and supposed to be well-versed in other military stuff like stealth, this is kind of sad for you," Chazz added, putting more salt to the wound. "Sad, but hilarious."

"After recording your conversation, we took it to Chancellor Sheppard who actually arranged a much more effective plan than the dumb one you guys almost tried to pull," said Alexis. "We just decided to wait until today to see if you were going to try and execute your plan. Kinda disappointing that you tried to despite the risks."

"So..." started up Atticus. "Why'd you do it? Why'd you guys try to go through with this plan?"

Hassleberry sighed and walked to the side. "Why don't you guys come in? We'll talk more when we're inside."

Once all six of them were seated, Jaden decided to explain things. "Yeah, don't blame Hassleberry and Syrus about this whole thing...Actually, it was my idea from the start."

"Why? What made you think that this was going to be a good plan anyways? There are way too many flaws in this plan to actually succeed!" pointed out Alexis.

"Well, it all started a couple days ago after I...well, I got into an argument with Aster and it made me think of some important things, so we'll leave it at that for now," admitted Jaden. "But anyways, I figured that the more time passes, the more Sartorius will only build up his forces and...and he might use more drastic measures to get this key."

Glancing over at the strange key wrapped around Jaden's neck, Chazz questioned, "What is up with that key, anyways? What's so important about that?"

"That's the thing; I don't know!" said Jaden. "No matter how much I asked around or tried to find out, I really couldn't learning anything else about this key. All I know is that it's so important, Sartorius is trying to get his hands on it! And I can't figure out why!"

"So you're trying to invade Sartorius' HQ?"

"Yup! That's the plan!"

"The White Dorm?"

"Mmm-hmm!"

"The one Sartorius is in?"

"Yup!"

"The one where you plan to sneak/barge in where not only will Sartorius discover you're there, but that you also bought the key, the single thing he needs the most, to him."

Syrus, catching to what Chazz was going on about, rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Yeah...when you put it that way, it kinda does sound like we're...making a pretty dumb plan-"

"Of course, BECAUSE IT IS DUMB!" snapped Chazz.

Alexis groaned and shook her head, facepalming herself. "You guys...! Did you even think this through?! This plan has so many flaws and risks that...that...I can't even-!" Alexis threw her arms up, exasperated at her friends and their very risky plan that would only land them in much more trouble than expected.

Placing a hand on both Chazz and Alexis' shoulders, Atticus tried to lift up the mood. "Now, now! Everyone's just stressed and tired because of how long this whole Society of Light issue's been going! I mean, it's been going on for a couple of months now! So, I know the best way to cheer everyone up!~"

"Atticus, I swear, if you're just going to sing us a song and dance, I will find and break your ukulele in half," threatened Alexis, smiling at the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for such a chance, even if such bliss joy would last for a second or two.

"...My SECOND best way is a three-way duel! Or rather, a 3-on-3 duel!"

"Wait, how does that even work? H-how is this going to work?" wondered Syrus.

"Simple!" boasted Atticus proudly. "First Jaden goes, then I go, then Syrus goes, then I go-"

"Wait, what?"

"Then, Hassleberry goes, then I go, then Alexis, and then me again, and then to Chazz, and I go, and then I go again, and it'll be the same process all over again. See? Simple, right?"

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

Everyone merely stared at him in disbelief before they all started shouting and talking all at the same time and over each others' voices.

"You've got to be kidding me!"

"What the hell kinda system is that?!"

"Hey, that's not fair! That's not fair at all!"

"Yeah, how come all of us gets one turn per round while you get like, what? A gazillion turns?"

"Hey, if you're gonna do it like that, at least grant me that same sort of privilege!"

"You jerk, Chazz! Trying to take advantage of the situation!"

"It's called strategy, you idiot! Something your dino-obsessed brain could use!"

"What did you say?!"

A knock on their door caused the group to stop arguing amongst themselves. Curious, Jaden stood up and headed towards the door, opening it to see a familiar young woman clad in a pink business suit. "Hello? Can I help you?"

"Yes. Forgive me if I'm disturbing you in any way, Miss Jaden Yuki," spoke the woman. "I'm Prince Ojin's secretary, Linda. I've come to talk about something important. Could I have a moment of your time?"

After welcoming Linda inside, Jaden ushered her inside and helped her seated down with the rest of her friends. After offering her snacks and some drinks, Jaden asked, "So, Linda, right? What's so important that you wanted to talk to us about?"

"I...I urge you, Miss Yuki! Please, save Prince Ojin-no, save the world!" pleaded Linda.

"Save the world?" wondered Syrus.

"I think we're kinda in the middle of doing that already?" pondered Chazz, seeing their situation as a threat level similar to deal with the Shadow Riders from last year.

"That's startlingly sudden!" agreed Hassleberry.

"Yeah..." said Jaden. "Why me, specifically?"

"Because you are one of the chosen, Miss Yuki," explained Linda. "Sartorius gave you a key, didn't he?"

Surprised at her knowledge, Jaden asked, "Whoa! How do you know that?"

"Pretty much the entire Society is after both you and Aster for those keys, Jaden. I'm pretty sure by now, everyone on campus knows what's up," retorted Chazz.

"It's...not quite that," said Linda. "The truth is, the other day, I heard the prince and Sartorius discussing about you, Miss Yuki. Sartorius was informing my prince about you having the key and then he ordered Prince Ojin to go and challenge you for the key! Once more, I beg you, please save the world!"

Holding the strange key in her hands, Jaden wondered, "I don't get it...How will keeping the key safe help save the world?"

"It's a key that could lead the world to destruction," explained Linda. "It's a key for activating SORA, a deadly weapon that could burn all life on Earth to nothing!"

Gasps and looks of horror and shock was spread across the entire room as everyone processed this sort of information into their brains. Right now, Jaden, as well as Aster, both contained the keys that, if stolen by the wrong hands, could lead to massive destruction of the entire planet! And seeing how crazy Sartorius is, especially with his intent to make everyone "see the light," it may not be too farfetched that he intends to do just that by actually destroying the planet!

"Come to think of it, I do remember the country that Prince Ojin lives in, the kingdom of Misgarth, did launch SORA a few months ago," spoke up Syrus. "...Around the same time he came to Duel Academy for the Genex Tournament..."

"Oh, yeah! And then, when he arrived, Sartorius dueled him for the keys and right to use the satellite cannon!" said Hassleberry.

Alexis whirled to Linda. "Why would you even bring the keys to the most deadliest weapon on Earth to Duel Academy?! Especially during a tournament?! No, scratch that, why didn't you even give them to the most dangerous person in this island?!"

"To be fair, Sartorius made the bet with the prince himself," defended Syrus. "And I think I remember Miss Linda trying to stop the prince from letting him give the keys to Sartorius."

"Wait a second, something doesn't seem right here," spoke up Atticus. "Prince Ojin came here a few months ago, right? Around the same time that the tournament began?"

"Yes, that's correct."

"Then something doesn't add up here. If he had the keys the entire time, complete access to SORA, then why now? Why wait so long? Why didn't he just activate SORA and blow up Earth a long time ago? And...he even gave the keys to Jaden and Aster, so why would he do that?"

"That...I do not know," admitted Linda.

"Look, I know this is probably a cliche thing that all villains have, but maybe he's trying to take over the world. Maybe he's planning on taking the entire Earth captive by holding onto SORA," said Chazz. "If he has the most deadliest weapon on Earth, he could demand anything and it would be given to him in an instant."

"I doubt world domination is what Sartorius wants," said Alexis. "If that was the case, why didn't he make some worldwide announcement about it, then? If he really wanted that, he would have done that a long time ago."

"In any case," continued Linda. "Sartorius defeated Prince Ojin and took SORA."

"Which brings back to the question, why give me one of the keys?" wondered Jaden.

"This is just a guess, but...there may be a battle within him, between a wicked heart and a righteous heart that opposes it."

"...I think I remember Sarina saying something like that before," Jaden muttered.

"If my theory is truly correct, then that means that even though you possess the key, Sartorius' wicked self is ordering Prince Ojin to take it back. And the evil Sartorius is going to order Prince Ojin to activate SORA and destroy the world."

"So, it's basically a case of Multiple Personality Disorder," said Chazz, crossing his arms.

"I...actually doubt it is this time, but it could be similar, in a way," agreed Atticus.

"Do you understand the importance of what's going on?" asked Linda.

"Yeah, but what should I do now?" Jaden wondered. "We were planning on taking Sartorius head-on today, but..."

"But plans have changed," finished Alexis, glaring at her, Syrus, and Hassleberry to make sure they didn't try anything behind their backs just as they attempted to do so earlier.

"Miss Jaden Yuki," said Linda. "You must defeat Prince Ojin in a duel. Right now, he isn't his normal self, but if you break Sartorius' hold on him, I'm sure he'll return to the kind prince he once was."

Chazz groaned. "Of course! It was so obvious! The prince must have gotten brainwashed just like the rest of us when he was defeated the first time!"

"That...would explain why he was so willingly to give the keys to Sartorius that one time," said Syrus.

Linda nodded. "The prince would never truly wish for the world's destruction. He was so kind, but changed ever since we came to Duel Academy. Even as a child, he was so concerned for others, and I would always hear him crying alone at night. As a prince, he mustn't trust people as easily or else they would take advantage of him, and as such, he had no friends, which led to him being lonely a lot. Even so, he always smiled and worried for others. Prince Ojin...he was so kind..."

Everyone fell silent at the heartfelt story behind Prince Ojin and how much suffering he must have felt ever since he was a child, especially with the pressures and responsibilities of him being the future ruler on his shoulders.

Glancing down at the key in her hands, Jaden admitted, "Hey, I...I actually don't know if I can truly save the world, but I promise you, Linda, that I will bring back that kind prince! The prince you deeply care about!"

Linda couldn't help but smile, believing firmly in Jaden's words. After all, she's done her research, and besides the Pro Duelist student, Aster Phoenix, Jaden is just as strong as he is and is currently the strongest student in Duel Academy. If anyone can do it, it's most likely her!

"Uh...hey, guys? What's that noise?" wondered Atticus, hearing faint explosions out in the distance.

Unsurprised, Chazz leaned back and casually stated, "Oh, looks like it's reached this far. Good."

"What are you talking about, Chazz?" asked Alexis suspiciously. "Do you know what's going on?"

"Hmm? Oh, yeah. I guess you guys probably don't know this yet, but there's a bunch of Ra Yellows and Obelisk Blues out there taking down the other members of the Society of Light."

"What?!" exclaimed Atticus. "And how do you know this?"

"Oh, because I recruited all the ones not affected or were released from that stupid brainwashing and bannered them all under me!"

"...WHAT?!" everyone yelled in unison.

"What's the big deal? Why's everyone freaking out so much?"

"Why are we freaking out?!" questioned Alexis. "What gives, Chazz?! This is the first me and Atticus has heard anything of this...this plan of yours! I mean, what were you thinking?!"

"Obviously, I was thinking of reducing Sartorius' numbers down to 0!" said Chazz. "I figured we're gonna need a lot of people to take down Sartorius' forces, so I took the liberty of doing just that! Strengthening and increasing our numbers to gain an advantage!"

"So, why are they all trying to attack Sartorius' members now?!" questioned Hassleberry.

"Oh, because I ordered them to invade the White Dorm and unleash all hell upon them."

"WHAT?!"

"Hey, you know the saying! 'First come, first served!' I thought, why not attack them in their blind spot where they least expected it? Then, I gathered them up and then ordered them to attack."

"What the-?! But you can't just-! These sort of things takes all sorts of prep-ARE YOU AN IDIOT?!" stammered Alexis before blowing up in Chazz's face.

"Atticus, you and Alexis were with Chazz this whole time! Why are you acting like you don't know about this?" wondered Syrus.

"Because we didn't actually! We were heading towards your dorm when we bumped into Chazz and then we all agreed to go together! I didn't know he planned all this!" exclaimed Atticus.

"Wait a sec..." spoke up Jaden. "If pretty much the entire Society's being busy with the guys Chazz recruited...that means Sartorius is wide open! Which means now's a perfect chance to beat him without any distractions! Let's go, guys!" Having said that, Jaden stood up and shot out the door.

"Jaden, wait up!"

"Yeah, wait for us!"

Syrus and Hassleberry also zoomed out of their dorm room, leaving just Chazz, Alexis, Atticus, and Linda by themselves before anyone could stop them.

Alexis groaned and stood up. "Great, we have to go after them!"

Atticus shrugged, also standing up. "Well, we were going to take down the Society sooner or later. With the way things are now, it may as well be right now."

"Ugh...this seriously cannot get any worst...we're practically walking straight into a minefield here!"

Chazz shrugged. "Er...maybe not a minefield, per say. I'd bet it's more like a...battlefield? Like a barrage of battlefields out there? Anyways, it can't be that bad!"

Both Chazz and Alexis were wrong. Apparently, it was more like a cornucopia of disasters all throughout not just campus, but on the entire island as well.

Duelists were dueling each other, duelists were running away from others or running towards the battlefield, some were being flown or thrown aside from the rapid explosions happening through the scenery, many were shouting words of encouragement or begging for forgiveness. Strangely enough, several duelists were...actually on the sidelines, playing Bewjeweled on their phones or even taking a Mountain Dew and Cheetos break; sometimes both. Surprisingly enough, even Bonaparte and Crowler were helping out, though they seemed to be on the losing end.

"Members of the Society of Light! It's time for the world to be bleached white! Now, let's break through the sullied fools and win the Genex Tournament!"

"For honor! For glory! For Misgarth!"

"Wrong group, idiot!"

"Gaaah!"

"Take this!"

"I attack you directly!"

"Jeez, this is a huge mess," commented Atticus, scratching his head.

Alexis glared at Chazz. "What was the whole point in stopping Jaden and the others if you were just going to pull an even worst stunt than what they were already intending?!"

"Look, I didn't say my plan was entirely perfect, just that I thought it was a good idea!"

"Well, whatever the case is, now that things were growing more hectic here, we may as well throw ourselves into the fray and end this once and for all!" advised Atticus, activating his duel disk.

"I see we really don't have much of a choice," sighed Alexis, taking out her duel disk. "Where are Jaden and the others, anyways?"

"Who knows? Knowing them, they're already in a duel or something! Now, let's Chazz it up!" shouted Chazz, starting a duel with a nearby Society member.

Alexis sweat dropped. "He really needs a new catchphrase..." She glanced over to Linda and told her, "Miss Linda, please stay back! Get to safety! i think it'll only grow more dangerous here!"

Linda nodded and turned around to run. "Yes, thank you very much!" As she headed off to leave, thoughts about Prince Ojin never left her mind as he heart grew more and more concerned for him. She could only pray that she find him and snap him back into the kind and caring prince that she has known her entire life-!

Later...

"You know, I kinda expected to encounter more guards here, but there's only been like, what? 3? 4? Pretty weak ones, too!" commented Hassleberry as he, Jaden, and Syrus were rushing to get to the White Dorm.

"I saw a bunch of Society members heading towards a different direction, so maybe there was something happening there?" guessed Syrus. "Hmm...well, we have been hearing a lot of explosions and saw a bunch of duels, so it's probably the Genex Tournament in high gear!"

"Awwwww! I really wanna join in and duel someone already!" whined Jaden.

"Even if you wanted to, I don't think you can participate anymore, Jay," reminded Syrus. "I mean, didn't you lose to Chazz and he took your medals?"

"I KNOW! Ugh! And that's really frustrating!"

"Wait, guys! Hush!" hissed Hassleberry, narrowing his eyes and peeking out from his current spot as they came to a stop. "Is that...is that the prince?"

Sure enough, as Jaden and her friends approached closer and closer, they started to recognize Prince Ojin, standing in front of the entrance of the White dorms like a gatekeeper. Considering his current position and how he's standing in front of the only entrances, it was clear that he has no intention of allowing any intruders to enter in.

"Hmm...doesn't really look like we can talk him out of this," stated Hassleberry quietly.

"Jaden Yuki. Master Sartorius has informed me and instructed me to take the key he desires from your clutches," explained Prince Ojin. "If you hand it over quietly and peacefully-"

"Yeah, not gonna happen," stated Jaden firmly, clutching tightly onto the satellite key. "There's no way you're ever gonna get your hands on this!"

"I suppose not," said Prince Ojin, shrugging his shoulders before activating his duel disk. "Well, if you're not going to cooperate, I'll have to take it by force!"

Right as Jaden was about to activate her own duel disk, to her surprise, both Hassleberry and Syrus stepped forth in front of Jaden with their already-activated duel disks. "Y-You guys?! What are you doing?!"

"Jaden, me and Hassleberry talked it over before, and we decided that since we haven't contributed much, we should at least take down a really tough opponent for you!" explained Syrus.

"Yeah! Leave this to us! It's like in those cliche anime situations where the main characters have to take down one opponent at a time! Go on without us!"

"Hmph! You'd think it'd be that simple, but it really isn't!" scoffed Prince Ojin. "The doors behind me are sealed shut tightly, and they won't open unless I allow them to or if you defeat me!"

"...All in favor of ramming down the door or breaking down a window?" suggested Hassleberry.

Whatever Prince Ojin was about to say next was halted when he caught a glance of whoever was approaching behind Jaden's group and smirked. "Well, this was unexpected. Then again, Master Sartorius' predictions have never failed anyone! Isn't that right, Aster Phoenix?"

"What?" Whirling around, Jaden, Hassleberry, and Syrus finally noticed Aster as he was walking onto the road leading to the front entrance of the White dorms.

"What's Aster doing here?" wondered Syrus.

Hassleberry scowled. "Ain't it obvious? He's here for Sartorius! Normally, I'd be happy to have him as an ally, but seeing as he's not only an asshole, but hurt a lot of people..."

Stopping near Jaden and her friends, Aster surveyed the scene before and quickly deduced that in order to pass, he most likely would have to duel Prince Ojin.

Just as Aster was about to activate his duel disk, Prince Ojin held up a hand. "Aster Phoenix, there's no need to worry. You don't need to bother dueling me, because I've been given very specific instructions by Master Sartorius to allow you through."

Surprise seemed to be the appropriate set of tone that coursed throughout Jaden's group, yet they all still held their guard up in case this was all some sort of trick.

"...What are you talking about? You're guarding the entrance inside, aren't you?" questioned Aster.

Prince Ojin nodded. "That's correct. My job here is to guard the entrance and make sure no intruder gets in. Those are Master Sartorius' orders, but-"

Aster summarized what Prince Ojin was about to say next. "But, I'm an exception, right? And if that's the case, then that means Sartorius really wants to see me, huh? ...He must be getting really desperate, then." Glancing over to Jaden and her friends, Aster said, "Well, I guess that means that I'll be going on ahead. ...See you later."

With that said, Aster push opened the entrance doors and headed inside; the entrance doors creepily closing behind him with a loud noise that startled Jaden and her friends.

"Now that one simple task has been completed, shall we proceed, Jaden Yuki?" announced Prince Ojin. "I believe my next task is taking that key you're possessing!"

Hassleberry and Syrus stepped forward, still standing guard over Jaden. "We told you before! You'll have to go through us, first!"

Prince Ojin frowned. "I have no need for plebians like you. My only business is with Jaden Yuki. Unless you wish to incur me and my deck's wrath, I suggest you stay out of this fight!"

Despite Prince Ojin's threats, both Hassleberry and Syrus refused to move aside, intent on protecting Jaden and playing their roles as protectors until she reached Sartorius herself.

"You know what? It doesn't matter," said Prince Ojin. "Because when I'm done with you two, it'll be Jaden's turn, and then, you'll all see the light!"

"Why are you working with a jerk like Sartorius, anyways?" asked Jaden. "Can't you see that he's been brainwashing you this whole time?"

"How dare you accuse him of doing something so heinous?! And on top of that, insulting him!" Prince Ojin angrily defended. "Master Sartorius is the first person to ever understood me!"

Jaden's frown changed to a sympathetic look. "That's...really sad. It's because you were lonely, right?"

"Hmph! Everyone's alone! And even you aren't the exception, Jaden Yuki!"

"Me? Nah, of course I've got friends! I've got these two buggers right here!" Jaden giggled, wrapping her arms around Syrus and Hassleberry's shoulders and embracing them behind as the two boys grinned happily.

"Yeah, that's right!" shouted Syrus.

"Yeah! Real pals would always defend their own pals, no matter what!" said Hassleberry. "The fact that you've got nobody to defend you means that you ain't got no pals!"

Prince Ojin scowled, but kept his anger in control and focused on gaining his cool in the upcoming duel ahead. "Through Master Sartorius' guidance, I will defeat your friends, then you, and then take back that key!"

"As if we're going to lose! Let's do this, Hassleberry!" encouraged Syrus.

"You took the words right outta my mouth, Truesdale!" agreed Hassleberry.

"DUEL!"

- DUEL -

Syrus - 4000 LP

Hassleberry - 4000 LP

VS

Prince Ojin - 8000 LP

"I'll go first!" shouted Syrus, drawing his card. "I summon Gyroid in Defense Mode!"

Gyroid - (WIND/Machine) - LV3 - (1000/1000)

"Then, I set one card facedown and end my turn!"

"My move!" said Hassleberry, drawing his own card. "Now, I summon Black Stego in Attack Mode!"

Black Stego - (EARTH/Dinosaur) - LV4 - (1200/2000)

"I'll end my turn from there!"

"I draw!" Prince Ojin shouted; his turn to draw his card. "I set two cards facedown and then activate the Quick-Play Spell, Trap Booster! By discarding one card, I can activate a Trap card from my hand!" After discarding a certain Monster card, Prince Ojin continued his turn. "Now, I activate my Continuous Trap, Call of the Haunted! With this, I can select a Monster from my Graveyard and Special Summon it in Attack Mode!"

Syrus tried to think of what kind of Monster he could possibly Special Summon this early in the duel when suddenly, a horrible revelation popped into his thoughts as he remembered the prince's trademark Monster. "Oh no! It couldn't be...!"

Prince Ojin smirked before proudly announcing, "From the Graveyard, take flight towards the sky, Satellite Cannon!"

A beam of light blasted deep within the earth and reached even past the heavens. When the light died down, although it was far, everyone could tell it was Prince Ojin's famous Satellite Cannon Monster.

Satellite Cannon - (LIGHT/Machine) - LV5 - (0/0)

"And I'm far from finished! Now I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Inferno Reckless Summon! When I succeed in Special Summoning a Monster with 1500 or less Attack Points while there's at least 1 Monster on my opponent's field, I can Special Summon all of my Monsters with the same name in Attack Mode from. my hand, deck, or Graveyard! That means, from within my deck, I can now Special Summon 2 more Satellite Cannons!"

Satellite Cannon - (LIGHT/Machine) - LV5 - (0/0) X3

"Oh man! He summoned 3 Satellites in one turn!" exclaimed Syrus.

Looking annoyed, Hassleberry said to his partner, "Yeah, we can count."

Laughing, Prince Ojin wasn't even close to finishing his preparations. "And I'm only beginning to warm up! From my hand, I activate the Spell card, Charge! This Spell card allows all of my Satellite Cannons to gain 2000 extra Attack Points!"

Satellite Cannon - (LIGHT/Machine) - LV5 - (2000/0) X3

'No, we can still win this!' thought Syrus glancing down at his facedown card. 'I have a pretty solid defense and my Trap card is Mirror Force! If he targets me, I'll get rid of all of his Monsters in one fell swoop!'

"Let the fun begin! But the only question is, who should I eliminate first this round?" wondered Prince Ojin, eyeing between Syrus and Hassleberry. "Hmm...But before I do anything else, I'll activate the Quick-Play Spell, Mystical Space Typhoon, to wipe away your facedown!"

The tormenting tempest-like winds blew away Syrus' facedown card, rendering one of Syrus' line of defense useless. So far, he only has Gyroid to protect him for the time being, but Syrus truly had been counting on the other defense to help him!

"You're rather troublesome, boy with glasses, and you did try to lay a trap on me, so I'm targeting you first!" declared Prince Ojin, pointing to Syrus. "Satellite Cannon #1! Strike down his Monster, now!"

Tilting downwards to aim as well as charging up at a rapid pace, the first Satellite Cannon rained down a laser of absolute destruction down onto Gyroid, who held up a green barrier shielding both him and Syrus.

"O-Once per turn, Gyroid can't be destroyed in battle!" cried out Syrus.

Prince Ojin clicked his tongue. "Tch...so you had that sort of strategy just in case, huh? Well, no matter! Now, because Satellite Cannon #1 attacked, its Attack Points turn to 0!"

Satellite Cannon - (LIGHT/Machine) - LV5 - (0/0)

"But I'm far from finished!" Prince Ojin glanced slightly at Hassleberry. "I'll deal with you soon." He glanced back at Syrus and told him, "Perhaps I can't finish you off this turn, but I can at least destroy your Monster and take away half of your Life Points! Satellite Cannon #2, destroy his Monster! And then, Satellite Cannon #3, attack his Life Points directly!"

At the same time, both of the two remaining Satellite Cannons took aim and fired at full power, merging their lasers together into one single powerful laser that completely shattered Gyroid's barrier upon reaching contact, destroyed Gyroid, and knocked Syrus off his feet, injuring him.

"Syrus!" cried out Jaden, worried.

"Hey! Truesdale! You alright?!" called out Hassleberry.

Groaning and trying to get up, Syrus could only have done so with Hassleberry's aid. "Ohhh...thanks, Hassleberry. Yeah...Ow...That...That really did hurt...If it weren't with the help of my Monster, then I don't think I would have survived this turn..."

"You talk as if your destroyed Monster is your friend! How pathetic!" insulted Prince Ojin. "My invincible Satellite Cannons will destroy the both of you!"

"We...we won't lose! Not to the likes of you!" shouted back Syrus.

Hassleberry nodded. "Yeah that's right! Not just for our sakes, but for our friends and allies as well!"

"Hmph. We'll see!" said Prince Ojin. "I now activate all three of my Satellite Cannons' abilities! During each of my End Phases, each Satellite Cannons gains 1000 Attack Points! I end my turn for now!"

Satellite Cannon - (LIGHT/Machine) - LV5 - (1000/0) X3

Gently pushing himself off of Hassleberry to stand on his own two feet, Syrus drew his card. "My...turn! I summon Steamroid in Attack Mode!"

Steamroid - (EARTH/Machine) - LV4 - (1800/1800)

"Time to attack! Steamroid, take out one of his Satellite Cannons! And it'll be even more damage because Steamroid's effect allows him to gain 500 extra Attack Points during the Damage Step!"

Steamroid - (EARTH/Machine) - LV4 - (2300/1800)

Suddenly, railroad tracks made of spiritual magic appeared, seemingly to guide Steamroid towards his designated target. Knowing what to do next, Steamroid began picking up speed the higher and further he ascended, gaining strength along the way the same time he gathered speed before crashing into one of the Satellite Cannons, causing a huge explosion upon impact.

However, when the smoke cleared, the Satellite Cannons appeared intact while remains of Steamroid seemed to be sucked into the void known as space.

Prince Ojin - 2700 LP

While glad that he managed to take out some of Prince Ojin's Life Points, that feeling of gladness quickly turned to dread when Syrus realized that the Satellite Cannon he was aiming for wasn't even destroyed or damaged as a matter of fact.

"What?! What's going?! I hit him! I made sure I did!" exclaimed Syrus.

"An attack like that won't destroy my Satellite Cannon!" said Prince Ojin. "You see, another effect that my Satellite Cannon has is that it can't be destroyed in battle by a Level 7 or lower-leveled Monster!"

"What?! Then, it won't matter what sort of Monster we sent out, it won't be able to destroy those Satellite Cannons!" cried out Syrus, panicking.

'The worst thing is, at the end of every one of the Prince's turns, his Monsters' Attack Points increases by 1000! This is bad!' thought Jaden. 'That means the longer those Monsters stay up there, the stronger they'll get!'

"Double-time, soldier!" Hassleberry called out to his partner. "Remember, we still have a chance of winning this! Sure, our Monsters right now can't deal any sort of damage, but we'll just have to deal with whatever damage we can dish out to the prince! And besides, an easy solution to destroy those things up there would be to summon our most strongest Monsters, so let's get to it!"

Inspired by Hassleberry's advice, Syrus felt confident in his plan and nodded. "Yeah...Yeah! You're right! Okay, I set two cards facedown and end my turn!"

"My move!" said Hassleberry. "I activate the Spell, Big Evolution Pill! I sacrifice my Black Stego in order for its activation to work! Big Evolution Pill will remain on the field for 3 of your turns, Prince! And during that time, I can Normal Summon or Set any Dinosaur-Type without Tributing!"

Syrus' eyes widened before a huge grin on his face. "Wait, so that means-!"

"Yeah, that's right! Here comes an extremely powerful Monster! Come on out, Super Conductor Tyranno!"

Super Conductor Tyranno - (LIGHT/Dinosaur) - LV8 - (3300/1400)

"Whoa! Nice one! Not only is he strong, but he's also a Level 8 Monster! Yeah, go for it, Hassleberry!" cheered Jaden.

"Alright, let's do this! Let's take out one right now!" shouted Hassleberry, pointing to one of the Satellite Cannons. "Alright, Super Conductor Tyranno, aim for that one! Attack!"

Waiting for Hassleberry's Monster to make a move, the moment he saw the Dinosaur-Type unleash a large laser blast from within his jaws, Prince Ojin made his move. "You fool! I knew that one of you would have the galls to try and destroy one of my Monsters when the time came, and my hunch was correct! I activate one of my facedowns, Magic Cylinder! This redirects your Monster's attack straight back to you!"

As Super Conductor Tyranno's dinosaur-like laser blast headed closer and closer towards its intended target, a barrier protected the Satellite Cannon, reflecting the blast back. Seconds before experiencing unbelievable amounts of pain as well as witnessing up-close, Hassleberry's entire sight flashed with light before he was knocked down on his back.

"Hassleberry!" cried out both Jaden and Syrus.

"I-I'm fine!" assured Hassleberry, holding up a hand to prevent them from approaching closer as he used his own inner and outer strength to force himself to stand up. "I-I was just caught off-guard a bit, you know?" He turned to Prince Ojin and declared, "Alright, I set a card and end my turn! Your turn, princey!"

"How rude! Know your manners!" scolded Prince Ojin, drawing his card. "I activate the Continuous Spell, Burden of the Mighty! Now, each of your Monsters loses 100 Attack Points x the Levels your Monsters has!"

Steamroid - (EARTH/Machine) - LV4 - (1900/1800)

Super Conductor Tyranno - (LIGHT/Dinosaur) - LV8 - (2500/1400)

"So you decreased our Monsters' power! So what? Ours is still plenty stronger!" pointed out Hassleberry.

Prince Ojin smirked. "Not for long! Now, I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Limiter Removal! Now, until the end of this turn, all of my Machine-Types' Attack Points are doubled!"

Satellite Cannon - (LIGHT/Machine) - LV5 - (2000/0) X3

"So? My Tyranno's still-"

"Hassleberry, my Monster's much more weaker!" reminded Syrus hastily. "If he's out, then I get hit directly, and I only have 2000 Life Points left!"

"...Aww, crap baskets!"

"Naturally, it's time to weed out the weakest of the two, starting with you!" Prince Ojin declared, pointing to Syrus. "Satellite Cannon #1, destroy his Monster, now!"

Syrus panicked, knowing full well that there was nothing he could do to protect his Monster since he has nothing to protect him with...unless he used one of his Trap cards! He had been planning on using a very specific defensive Trap card until much later, but perhaps now was the time?

Just as Satellite Cannon #1 fired its full-force laser, Syrus yelled, "I activate my Continuous Trap, Life Force! If I were to take Battle Damage, I would take 400 Points of Damage instead!"

'That's the same card he used against Zane! That was his greatest defense, yet!' thought Jaden, surprised.

"In addition, I activate my other Trap, Supercharge! If you attack a Machine-Type I control, then I get to draw two more cards!"

Despite the power of Life Force protecting Syrus with very little damage to his Life Points, unfortunately, his Monster was not spared despite his best efforts; extinguished without a single trace remaining.

"...Truesdale?"

"What? What is it?"

"How are you this frickin' dumb?! Even more than me?" yelled Hassleberry. "I may not be too good at math, but even I can tell that you took much more damage using that darn Trap of yours!"

"What are you talking abou-?!"

It suddenly hit Syrus right in that very instance. Using Life Force may have prevented any Battle Damage, but at the cost of taking 400 Life Points in the form of Effect Damage instead. If he hadn't activated Life Force and just took the Battle Damage instead...he would have to suffer only 100 Life Points loss instead of 400.

He didn't realize how much of a stupid idiot he was right until this very moment.

"Gaaaah! What was I thinking?! I really messed up big time!" cried out Syrus. "W-well, I was panicking, and I wasn't thinking straight-!"

"That's no excuse! In a battlefield, there are no excuses! You either win or lose, and you sure royally screwed up!" pointed out Hassleberry.

Syrus glared at him. "Hey, I was trying to avoid getting lasered in the face!"

"Hey, I actually managed to survive a DIRECT HIT from a cannon laser from space! Top that!"

"Technically, it wasn't even a direct hit, it was more like Effect Damage! That can't count as a direct hit!"

"It can too!"

"Will you two fools pay attention?! My turn is far from over!" announced Prince Ojin, forcing his two opponents to focus back onto the duel. "Much better! In fact, this is the end for you, boy with glasses! Satellite Cannon #2! The boy with glasses has no more Monsters! Finish him off!"

Just as the second Satellite Cannon unleashed a devastating cannon blast, Syrus was prepared this time. "I activate Life Force and give up 400 of my Life Points to prevent Battle Damage!"

Hassleberry - 700 LP

Prince Ojin - 2700 LP

Gritting his teeth in frustration, Prince Ojin maintained his composure, though slightly angrily commanded, "Fine, if the second attempt didn't work, then I'll have to go all-out! Satellite Cannon #3, attack the dinosaur Monster!"

"What?!" everyone yelled in unison before the third Satellite Cannon overloaded its systems by firing an extremely powerful beam down on Super Conductor Tyranno, only for the Dinosaur-Type Monster to charge out of the way. Due to overloading its systems, the third Satellite Cannon began to malfunction before exploding into multiple pieces, drifting off into space.

Syrus - 1200 LP

Hassleberry - 700 LP

Prince Ojin - 2200 LP

"W-why?! Just-Just why?!" questioned Hassleberry. "That-that was an even more stupider move than the stunt Truesdale pulled!"

"I'm...not sure whether or not to take that as an insult as a compliment," muttered Syrus, glaring at his fellow Ra Yellow friend.

But Prince Ojin merely chuckled. "Oh, you'll see why I did just that! That little stunt I pulled earlier happened to be the trigger for activating my facedown card, the Trap, Debris Station! This activates when a Satellite Cannon I control is destroyed in battle! Now, I get to send the two other Satellite Cannons I have on my field to the Graveyard and then Fusion Summon my ultimate Monster! Satellite Laser Belsam!"

Two large explosions erupted from the last two remaining Satellite Cannons, and just like the third Satellite Cannon, their remains floated and drifted about in the midst of space, until suddenly, a new, larger and enhanced machinery opened its compartment and absorbed all of the remains from the three Satellite Cannons before Satellite Laser Belsam made its grand appearance shown all around.

Satellite Laser Belsam - (LIGHT/Machine/Fusion) - LV8 - (0/2000)

"And now, thanks to the last, additional effect of Debris Station, Satellite Laser Belsam gains 3000 extra Attack Points!"

Satellite Laser Belsam - (LIGHT/Machine/Fusion) - LV8 - (3000/2000)

"What?!"

"Are you kidding me right now?!"

Laughing, Prince Ojin pointed at Super Conductor Tyranno and declared, "Now, the preparations are set and complete! It did take some time and a bit of sacrifice, but the results were worth it! Satellite Laser Belsam, put that dinosaur into extinction once and more! Unleash an attack so powerful, not even fossils will remain!"

Adjusting to a new direction towards, Satellite Laser Belsam, unlike the other Satellite Cannons, not only charged up to full-power almost instantaneously, but its energy laser beam was several times much more powerful than its weaker counterparts, thus shooting down the equivalence of a geyser-like energy beam raining onto Super Conductor Tyranno until there was no trace remaining.

"Grrrr-! GAAAH!" screamed Hassleberry, thrown back and tossed around the dueling field from the impact of the laser beam crashing down on Earth.

"And after it attacks, Satellite Laser Belsam's Attack Points are reduced to 0!"

Satellite Laser Belsam - (LIGHT/Machine/Fusion) - LV8 - (0/2000)

Unconcerned with his opponents, Prince Ojin simply laughed at them. "It's just like I thought! Friendship and allies mean nothing before power!"

After the dust clouds cleared, Jaden was helping Hassleberry up, whereas Syrus was making the injured duelist lean against him for support. "You're wrong..." started Jaden.

"Hmm?"

Syrus turned to Prince Ojin. "The bonds between us are strong! There's no doubt about that! And we'll prove it to you!"

Not believing Syrus for even an instance, Prince Ojin simply said, "Very well, surprise me, then! Show me these bonds between your friends and see if they can ever stand up to the awesome power of my Satellite! I end my turn! At this moment, Laser Belsam's effect activates! During each of my End Phases, it gains 3000 extra Attack Points! Good luck trying to take down my ultimate Satellite!"

Satellite Laser Belsam - (LIGHT/Machine/Fusion) - LV8 - (3000/2000)

"Gladly!" said Syrus, adjusting his position a bit to make it a little easier to use his duel disk while helping Hassleberry. "My turn, draw! Yes! Alright, I activate the Spell, Vehicroid Connection Zone! This card allows me to Fusion Summon a Vehicroid Monster using Monsters from my field or hand, and from my hand, I'll fuse Steamroid, Drillroid, and Submarineroid in order to Fusion Summon Super Vehicroid Jumbo Drill!"

Super Vehicroid Jumbo Drill - (EARTH/Machine/Fusion) - LV8 - (3000/2000)

"Awesome! Now both their Monsters have the same Attack Points!" exclaimed Jaden.

Syrus glanced over to Hassleberry, who grinned and nodded as the two came to a silent agreement. Turning back to the dueling field, Syrus yelled, "Now, Super Vehicroid Jumbo Drill, take out his Satellite Laser Belsam!"

"What?!" Prince Ojin looked up instinctively, watching as Super Vehicroid Jumbo Drill forged a magical railroad track heading straight up at Satellite Laser Belsam. He took off at rapid, instantaneous speeds, reaching the Satellite Monster before colliding and then causing a massive explosion, taking the both of them out in one blow.

"I end my turn!" decided Syrus before looking over to Hassleberry. "Hassleberry! I'll leave the rest to you! I end my turn!"

"Gotcha! Time to finish this!" grinned Hassleberry, drawing his card while still leaning against Syrus for support. "Alright! Nice timing! Big Evolution Pill's effect is still active, so that means I can still Normal Summon any Dinosaur-Type without Tributing! Now, I summon Dark Tyranno to the field!

Dark Tyranno - (EARTH/Dinosaur) - LV7 - (2600/1800)

Prince Ojin stepped back, horrified at the sight of his most powerful and ultimate Monster shredded into tiny pieces spread out into space, just like his previous three Satellite Cannons, as well as the fact that he could very well lose this duel!

"Dark Tyranno! End this now! Attack the prince directly!"

Creating large tremors with each stomp he took, Dark Tyranno roared before whirling around once he's gotten close to his target, tail-whipping the prince as a means of attack, making him crash to the field in utter defeat.

Winners: Syrus and Hassleberry

"Yeah! How'd you like them apples?!" cheered Hassleberry. "That's the power of our bonds and friendship! ...Wow, why does that sound corny despite it being a good feeling?"

"Yay! We did it! We won!" shouted Syrus happily. "It's just like in every other superhero genre! The good guys always win!"

Jaden smiled and nodded at her friends before noticing that Linda was hiding behind some trees and bushes nearby, having observed everything possibly from the start of the duel. Well, as long as she was safe from harm's way and concerned for her prince, it seemed okay for her to be there.

The three friends decided to approach Prince Ojin, who appears to be on his knees, looking around, calling out for Sartorius. "Master Sartorius? Master Sartorius? Where...where are you...? Have...have you abandoned me? Will I be all alone again...?"

"Hey, cheer up, Prince," spoke Jaden, attempting to cheer him up. "You're not alone! After all, there's still somebody looking out for ya!"

Glancing up, Prince Ojin was puzzled. "Huh? Who...?" His gaze turned to Linda, who had stepped out from her hiding spot and was walking up to him, standing side-by-side with Jaden and her friends. "Linda? You were watching? How...how long have you been there?"

"I have always been there, and I always will be by your side," assured Linda, kneeling down in front of Prince Ojin to meet him face-to face. "I will always be by your side, Prince Ojin, the kindest person I have ever known, and do you know why?"

"Because...because you're my friend..." The realization hit Prince Ojin like a shining ray of light. He didn't need Sartorius after all, because all this time, he's never been alone, not with Linda by his side ever since his childhood days.

Although Jaden and her friends were happy to see Prince Ojin and Linda finding peace and happiness with each other, they knew there was slightly more important things to deal with, such as facing Sartorius. With Prince Ojin no longer on Sartorius' side, that meant that the entrance was cleared for them to enter and exit to their heart's content. Also more importantly, was that Aster had gone on ahead of them as per Sartorius' wishes, although there is a high possibility of a trap set for him, so they needed to hurry!

"Jaden!" said Syrus. "You go on ahead! Me and Hassleberry need to rest a bit! That last duel took a lot out of us!"

"Y-yeah!" agreed Hassleberry, sitting down on the ground to rest his body. "I just need a few minutes to get my strength back...and while you go on ahead, me and Truesdale will stand guard over the entrance to make sure no more or Sartorius' reinforcements gets in. We'll be the vanguard, so don't you worry about us! You gotta stop Sartorius no matter what before he initiates this plan of his!"

Although Jaden was reluctant to leave behind her friends, she knew they brought up very important strong points, so she nodded and hurried inside, intent on finishing this whole Society of Light business once and for all-!

Meanwhile, during the events of Prince Ojin's duel...

Although there were candles illuminating his path, Aster still found it frustrating over the lack of light and moreso of the darkness within various areas inside the White Dorm, as it was proving to be more of a challenge to track down Sartorius with each dead end he ended up in.

'If Sartorius really wanted to see me, why make this even further a challenge for me? It's a waste of my time!' thought Aster. 'Even if I'm ending up towards a trap, it would be a waste on Sartorius' end since I know that he wants this key back! Damnit...where is he?'

Upon entering a large room by pushing the doors opened, Aster headed inside and spotted only one person in the room that was quickly lit up by countless candles blazing across the large room. It wasn't Sartorius. It wasn't even one of his Society of Light members, either.

"Ah, so the prince fulfilled his simple duty, I see. After requesting Master Sartorius to allow me this opportunity for a rematch, I couldn't express my joy for how he accepted my request. We haven't quite finished our duel from last time, have we, Aster? I do hope you've gotten stronger this time, because there's no way I'm letting you go a second time..."

Aster narrowed his eyes and clenched his fists, but kept his composure instead of lashing out angrily, though there was no denying the burning hatred he held towards the man he was trapped in the room with.

"You're right. That's one thing we can agree with...The D."

Whew! Things are getting tougher and tougher for me to even get back to Fanfiction with all the school stuff and studies I have to do, but I hope this chapter is good enough for now! You know, I never really understood why Prince Ojin and Linda were there at the final battle of the second season. I mean, I could understand Linda always accompanying her prince, but Prince Ojin had absolutely no reason to return back to the White Dorms! In fact, he probably made it worst by being there, because he got possessed by Sartorius to take the keys and start SORA!

Anyways, that's all I have to say for now! Thank you all so much for your support and cheering up! Read and review!~
