Chapter 382

Find Out More

The scouting teams in New Mexico reported back. Al's team was soon able to make contact with Dan's team, everything was OK.

"That's good news." John said.

John Henry tried to find out what went wrong and what happened. He checked further as he conversed with John.

"Indeed." John Henry said.

John could see John Henry looked at numerous images. It looked like a lot of things were reviewed.

"Did they find out much?" John asked.

John Henry didn't like what they'd found. The enemy may have tracked Cameron's moves somehow. They might be looking for her. That brought the trouble home. That raised the threat level where they were at.

"They found nothing additional about Skynet but maybe a lead on the hostile Terminators. It comes right back here to our area." John Henry said. "It's a wild goose chase."

John wondered where John Henry picked that term up at. It was clear the threat level just went up in their area.

"Do we know how many there are or even where to look?" John asked.

The information available so far was limited.

"There are possibly two Terminators. One may be female." John Henry said. "They found female garments at one location."

John swallowed hard. He was worried about the nature of the clothes.

"Are they Cameron's?" John asked.

John was worried because Cameron fell into the hands of 'sex traffickers' at some point. He was afraid she may have been assaulted when she was incapacitated, she said she hadn't been. John doubted she would tell him the truth anyway. It made him wonder about Cameron's past - the future. He doubted he would ever know the truth about all of that. He didn't understand how deep Cameron's 'fears' were about the same things. They troubled her incessantly.

John Henry noted John's apprehension. He wanted to put him at ease.

"It's doubtful." John Henry said. "Dan reported they're not Cameron's style. They were very basic. There was no clothing that would be considered Tight."

It didn't ease John much to know that there was another female Terminator out there that Cameron would try to apprehend. He didn't like all the games she played with the other female Terminators. She'd made her plans clear several times to him. They were forefront in his mind right now. He wanted some preemptive action for a change.

"I want the female Terminator this time. I don't want Cameron to get a hold of her." John said. "She will try to replace herself with her. I can tell. I know it is coming – again. I can sense it."

John could feel Cameron was ready to bolt again. She seemed ready to run from him and everyone else. It was all so hard for him to understand. Everyone loved Cameron.

John Henry decided now was not a good time to tell John of his recent discussion with Cameron. He decided Cameron most likely already must have done that. The only way he could tell Cameron from the clones was to scan her right breast. That was the breast that'd been severely damaged several times. It was slightly smaller now after the second time it was blown to shreds. He was aware the nipple never regenerated until she re-infused her DNA processor with a fresh sample from Allison. The clones were still the same as Allison. The difference would be undetectable to non Metal. He saw no need to mention that to John.

"I'll have them spend a day or two more to check things out before I have them return home." John Henry said. "I'll get a team out looking at possible locations here."

John wanted to keep the information under wraps about the new female Terminator. He wondered if it was even possible anymore.

"Is there any way to keep Cameron from learning of this?" John asked.

John Henry was sure CamNet was in his system. Cameron would know everything he knew and more from CamNet.

"No." John Henry said. "She knows everything and is everywhere."

John compressed his lips slightly and shook his head.

"Beautiful." John said. "Absolutely beautiful…."

John Henry knew CamNet most likely monitored everything that happened at the Resistance base. That included his discussions with John. Sometimes he wondered how much information was too much information to know on certain things. He was sure CamNet tracked the movements of the girls form room to room at night as well.

CamNet monitored the information and notified Cameron. She sent Ally and Summer out as one team and Ron and Ronny as the other team. She made sure Ally personally delivered Savannah back to Cammy. Summer was to remain outside.

Sheila was needed to operate the TDE at her base. She was about to try a 'scheduled' contact with River and Duplicate Cameron. It was set up when she'd visited before. It was to prevent anyone from becoming alarmed by the appearance of an energy bubble.

Cameron previously took a sample of Claire's DNA. She wanted the other female Terminator to be Resequence as 'Claire'. They would use the Neural Interface to make the Resequenced Terminator as much like Claire as possible. It would be the same method as the way Ally, Hanna and Sheila were interfaced with the girls. 'Metal Claire' could take over the 'wifely duties' from Claire with her husband. Maybe she would set the age regression to that of Claire as a young teenager. That should appeal to everyone. She knew that would keep him around and happy. It would also keep him protected. Few of the 'working girls' that she'd encountered were still disease free. They were usually contaminated within the first thirty men with a disease for which there was no cure. Some of the diseases were fatal; most of the others were not.

Cameron called Hanna to inform her of the change in plans.

"Hanna, cancel your infiltration mission on Paul Young." Cameron said.

Hanna didn't want to do that. She'd already made plans and what she intended to do. It was now a compulsion to her.

"I don't want to stop." Hanna said. "I'm ready to experiment. I'm ready to initiate contact. He will be mine after our first coupling."

Cameron didn't need this new problem. Hanna was to remain pure for John again. Maybe a threat would daunt Hanna's desires. It was a real threat too.

"There will be no coupling. Do you want to be reprogrammed?" Cameron asked. "You are for Claire only at this time. Do you wish to be replaced? Sheila or Ally will gladly take your place. You can be replaced and reprogrammed in an instant. You can be terminated as well."

Hanna knew Cameron wasn't bluffing. She was aware of the other female Terminators that Cameron deactivated. Being with Claire wasn't an 'assignment' to her any longer. The emotional bonding was as complete as her programming allowed.

"I love Claire." Hanna said. "I won't jeopardize that. I'll comply with your demands."

"Good." Cameron said curtly.

Hanna wanted to know what the alternate situation would be now. Something still needed to be done. The issue needed to be addressed.

"What about Paul?" Hanna asked. "What happens next and how?"

Cameron figured she could always recruit some females that arrived fresh into town at the bus station. It was what the traffickers did too. She would scan them and 'turn' them herself. She would use drugs to make them compliant and willing to do anything. She wondered if she could become Skynet as easily as she just thought of becoming a sex trafficker. She knew the enemy so well that it was easy to become that enemy in the blink of an eye. She'd just witnessed the proof of that.

"I'll make sure he has females available if it is necessary." Cameron said. "I don't think it will be, it hasn't been so far. He's a good man even if he's a poor husband. He still loves his family."

Vanna was aware of Paul's wandering eyes.

"I don't like the way he looks at Vanna." Hanna said. "At least he doesn't look at Allison like that anymore. He used to…."

Cameron knew how Paul looked at her too. It was an uncomfortable feeling. She needed to give Hanna some more slack to protect Vanna.

"You're to keep Vanna safe. She must remain available for John. I want you to inform Cam and Holly." Cameron said. "If it becomes necessary or unavoidable, you will take Vanna's place…."

Hanna was surprised to see Cameron backtrack some. That was unlike her.

"Everything is understood." Hanna said. "I've got it. I will enact the revised infiltration mission and stay within the original parameters."

"Yes. That is the mission at this time, for now anyway." Cameron said. "Maybe we should have added more rooms to the house or a second story above ground."

Hanna thought about the earlier confrontation with Allison and Vanna. Cam and Holly seemed just as displeased once they were told everything by Vanna and Allison.

"Holly does not like any of this." Hanna said. "Allison likes it even less."

Cameron thought she could pacify Holly.

"I will speak with Cam and see if she can 'help' with Holly." Cameron said.

Hanna understood that statement for what it was.

"Does that mean Cam gets to stay your clone?" Hanna asked.

Cameron felt helpless at times. Things that should happen or work out didn't always go as planned. It was all so overwhelming at times. A glitch impulse shot through her left hand. That was something she could do without right now.

"I need to make all this work." Cameron said. "I need you all to help me. I can't do EVERYTHING on my own. I need help. I need to go."

Hanna smiled as she hung up. That just gave all of them a lot of leeway. The underground bunkers would be good for Metal hookups…. If Cam was 'available' Holly would have to wait her turn. Hanna was ready to cut to the front of the line.

If Cameron wanted all of them to help her, they could help themselves along the way. None of them felt the same 'hang ups' as Cameron did. It really made her wonder what Cameron's problems were really all about.

Savannah returned to Cammy. She told Cammy what she could but asked her not to ask about some things. This caused her a certain amount of emotional stress. She'd learned to lie to protect a mission. She didn't want to lie to the ones she loved.

"Cameron has asked for my help on some things." Savannah said. "I don't want to lie to you ever, Cammy. If I can't talk about something right now, I ask you leave it at that. Please."

Cammy tilted her head slightly.

"I understand." Cammy said.

Cammy didn't understand. She could see that Savannah was worried about something.

Savannah didn't want to seem indifferent to Cammy. She wanted to phrase her statement carefully. She didn't want things to become 'lies of omission'.

"I know Cameron hasn't always been forthcoming with all the facts." Savannah said. "I ask you to be honest with me ALWAYS. If you can't be, you need to tell me. I will understand. I don't want lies. I want our relationship pure and honest. I want the REAL you. I want what you gave River."

Cammy knew as 'Cameron' that she lied all the time. Cameron seldom lied to Savannah and never to River, she couldn't. That was what fascinated Cameron about River, one of things anyway. It was the fact she needed to be who she really was. River could tell when she wasn't. She also wanted to remind Savannah which 'Cameron' that actually was even if she possessed those same files herself.

"That was Duplicate Cameron, not me. I'm still only a copy and clone of Cameron, Savannah." Cammy said. "I can never be Cameron Prime. I'm Cammy - period. You must never forget that."

Savannah believed differently. From her perspective there was no difference. When Cammy gave her those 'special moments' when they were alone, she always thought of Cameron.

"It's the same program." Savannah said. "You are both identical to me."

Cammy moved over and held Savannah, they embraced tightly.

"Thank You, Savannah." Cammy said. "I KNEW you would understand."

The look of love was in Savannah's eyes.

"I've always loved you, 'Cameron'." Savannah said.

Cammy felt a little overwhelmed. Savannah was everything to her. She was still a clone and not the 'real' thing."

"Cammy." Cammy said. "It has to be - Cammy."

Savannah felt very emotional right now. 'Cammy' was her pet name for Cameron since she was a young girl.

"That's the beauty of it. You always were 'Cammy' to me." Savannah said. "I've called Cameron 'Cammy' for years."

Cammy smiled and hugged Savannah again. She knew that was true too. It reminded her that Savannah was the only one who never gave up on Cameron. It was more than love that drove that belief.

"You're like no other." Cammy said. "I hope you know how much that means to Cameron and me."

Savannah wiped a tear away. There was still some 'business' that needed to be addressed. She was sure it was going to cause more than one person a lot of distress if not be an outright problem. Her face took on a very serious look.

"Cammy, I need you to promise me something." Savannah said.

Cammy noted the change in Savannah's demeanor. She wasn't sure what was about to happen.

"I'll do whatever I can for you." Cammy said. "You know that."

Savannah paused for a moment. She wanted to make herself clear or her reasoning clear anyway. Not everything that was 'wrong' was wrong to the person who did it based on the reason why.

"There may be a time in the future when it looks like I'm making a big mistake." Savannah said. "I need you to understand it's something I need to do. It's not a mistake to me. That's all that should matter."

Cammy looked worried. What was Savannah referring too? This sounded strangely serious even if it wasn't intended to. Savannah's safety was her primary concern.

"I must protect you." Cammy said. "I can't allow harm to happen to you."

Savannah understood Cammy's instincts to protect her. She needed Cammy to override those instincts when the moment she feared she would need to act would occur. This was something very personal to her. She looked Cammy in the eyes. She placed Cammy's hand on her neck. She wanted Cammy to know she meant what she said and asked for.

"I'm asking you not to stop me." Savannah said. "I need you to know, I know what I'll be doing. It's something I MUST do to help someone."

Cammy understood the serious of Savannah request to its fullest extent right now. It could be terminal. It seemed Savannah told her about two different things without being specific on either one.

"Will you be terminated?" Cammy asked very worried.

Savannah still looked Cammy in the eyes. She wanted her resolve and commitment to be clear. Her actions were not to be taken lightly. They were thought out and calculated.

"More than likely I will be." Savannah said. "I still must do it. It's my choice."

Cammy was more worried than ever now. Savannah just indicated she was willing to sacrifice herself for what she believed in. It went against every protocol in her program.

"I don't know if I can allow that." Cammy said.

Savannah hoped Cammy's love for her would overpower her programming at the time. It was the only way it would go forward.

"When it happens, you will understand." Savannah said. "It's for BOTH of us."

Cammy still scanned Savannah. Whatever she was talking about, she wasn't lying but believed it or believed in it. She knew that would make Savannah even more determined to do whatever she thought she needed to do. She also understood that love was about sacrifice. Savannah asked her to sacrifice as she sacrificed herself for her love.

"I'll try." Cammy said.

Savannah wanted more than for Cammy to 'try'. She needed commitment.

"I need more than that." Savannah said. "I need you to promise me that you will let me do what I'll need to do."

Cammy didn't want to but she established overrides for her safety protocols for Savannah. She thought it was a mistake but she loved Savannah. She didn't want to fail her personally even if to fail Savannah was what would happen in reality. A glitch impulse shot through her left hand.

"I promise, Savannah." Cammy said. "Let's just be alone for now, together."

Cammy couldn't lose Savannah. She knew Savannah was very determined and focused. She decided to try to find out more. She would try to prevent whatever Savannah referred to before it could ever get to the point of a 'one way ticket'.

Savannah and Cammy faced each other. Their love was strong and beautiful.

Savannah took Cammy's left hand and led her to the bed. Words were unnecessary right now.

'Good Rockin' Tonight' by 'The Head Cat'', played in the background as Cammy and Savannah loved each other….

Where does a search begin
Where does the search end
Will the results be something to defend
Will they be something to contend

That may be the root problem
If one does not know what they seek
It could be something unique
Perhaps even twisted and oblique

When an empty heart knocks
Who can hear its lonely rasp
Even when it is right in front of them
It remains just out of grasp

When believing is not seeing
Then seeing is not believing
Is it all about perceiving
Or thieving through deceiving

Be mindful of the one to adore
There may not be an encore
Everything one must first explore
It is needed to find out more
