Darkness, Light, and the Heart
Although the heart is tainted by darkness;
Its power is nothing compared to light;
The light shines with a prevailing brightness;
This glow brings joy to all who see this sight;
The darkness strives to overcome the good;
If feared it gains control over the heart;
It strikes the heart to kill it if it could;
But light will win before it even starts;
The dark tricks fools to throw away their choice;
Between the good and bad that's always there;
But light comes in and raises up it's voice;
To make the heart again become aware;
And now the light will once again defeat;
The dark so that it will with shame retreat.
