The Illusion of Fear

Chapter One:

Dear Ms. Granger,

Most claim to fear nothing when they fear everything. My illogical argument is that fear is merely a figment of a mortal's overstressed mind, an illusion. Fear usually is. Despite what everyone believes, there is nothing to fear in this world of war, pain, and suffering. I learned long ago what fear truly is.

Fear is the deeds we have done that haunt us to this day. Fear is the cobwebbed shadows in the most secluded corner in your mind. All we have to fear are our darkest memories.

You laugh at my conclusion, what a shame. If you experienced even a moment of my life, you would suffer from paranoia. You would fear life. Who am I? I am the yang to your yin. I am the one who commits all the dark deeds that haunt you. I am the one who reminds you of a black omen. I am the one that brings fear to your mind.

Confused? Do you honestly want to know who I am?

I am the one who controls your life. A conscience? No. I am your caged demon. Nothing likes be caged forever you know. I live within a dimension of death and destruction, a black hole of chaos and torture. I am the one who takes the lives of those you love and bring them here. The intelligent, the masterminds, the geniuses, I bring them here. I bring them into a place where they are not known as psychologically handicapped, or insane if you will.

Those who speak of someone possessing them through a government chip of some sort, of dark creatures out to get them are not inaccurate. As a matter of fact, they speak the truth.

We are those people. We are the illusions of fear from the dimension of hate.

The Demon Angels of 6,

She receives this one letter with shaking hands and sweating palms. She's heard of them before. The people that no one can place. You can know them all your life, but you can't remember their face. They call themselves The Demon Angels of 6 and they live off fear.

They know everyone's fears, but no one knows theirs.

Her greatest fear is being possessed and they addressed it in that simple letter without any effort.

They have chosen her as their next conquest. It might be as a new member, or it might be as a victim.

They've become bored and they need someone new to play with.

Author's Note:

This is a story idea that I've been playing around with for a while. The chapters will be shorter and this story will be updated more frequently. But I think that it will be worth your while.

I haven't forgotten my other stories, but I need to get these plot bunnies out of the way so that I can write again. sigh

Wish me luck!
