Angel: Late once again...so I'm sorry for that, again. Let me get some misconceptions out of the way: No, I didn't FORGET about this show. It's just that sometimes I'm too busy to write for this show. And because Final Space got cancelled, that left my fanfic on it cancelled too, so I had to figure out what to do about it. So I released the Owl House in its place. I don't like people assuming that I forgot, it's just that my job sometimes leaves me too tired to write anything, literally anything. Sometimes I only have time to write a few minutes. And considering how I'm moving away this month, these facts have to be known so that people can stop thinking that I don't care about this show.

There's a difference between being too busy and being careless, the latter being not the case. I work at Chick-Fil-a, which are long hours and it leaves me too tired to do anything. Literally I only have one day off this week, and I spend most of my days off with, you know, school? XD So yeah, work is a prime reason for why I hadn't uploaded anything, and also because of work, this episode was unfinished for a while. Literally only had the script finished when I was supposed to upload it. I kept trying to write, but I was too tired. And no, I can't quit my job because I'm moving away anyway, so there's no point when I'm gonna leave of my own accord soon.

I'm changing uploads to Sundays now to give me more of a time frame and so I can't keep using work as an excuse.

It was raining in Robotropolis, Swat ships flying past on patrol as the headlights were on. Sonic peeked out of hiding as he watched the ship go by. He then glanced over his shoulder to look at his friends.

"It's cool ladies, come on," He assured Sophia, Bunnie, and Sally. "I'll show you the pipes." The four ran towards the alleyway, Sophia glancing back to make sure no one could see them. Sonic guided them to a network of pipes that he stumbled upon once. "Check it out, Sal." He pointed to a pipe that sounded like it was buzzing. She put a stethoscope to her ears and listened in.

"Definitely carrying electricity," She reported back to him. He then smiled at her explanation.

They then ran across a power plant and Sonic peeked behind a pile of boxes.

"That's it, the main generator plant," He whispered to the group. They looked up ahead to see a swat-bot on watch, holding a flashlight.

"My my, there sure are a lot of guards," Bunnie whispered to them.

"No prob, Soph and I will handle the butt-bots," Sonic told them.

"Yeah!" Sophia whispered, she and Sonic sharing a high-five.

"See you inside, guys," Sally stated and the hedgehog gave her a thumbs up.

"Good luck."

"We're counting on you guys," Sophia smiled at the two with a small wave. Sonic lifted himself up into the air, speeding his feet and taking off, leaving flames in his wake. The alien princess summoned her wings and they appeared on her back swiftly. She took off after Sonic.

The Swat-bot walked forward as Sonic appeared right behind him, skidding to a stop. He started walking casually after the robot, whistling. Sophia flew above his head, casually putting her arms behind her back and relaxing in mid-air.

"How you doing, Swat-butt?" Sonic spoke up, getting the robot's attention. The two quickly moved over to the other Swat-bots nearby. "Yo, anyone ever tell you guys that you're ugly and you dress funny?" Sonic crossed his arms. "Let me be the first, you're ugly and you dress funny. Sayonara!"

"Bye!" Sophia waved and flew after the hedgehog as he took off. The Swat-bots started chasing after them, firing lasers at the duo. Sonic ran up a wall, Sophia soaring towards him. The Swat-bots ran into the alley and they came back behind them, the hedgehog whistling. Sonic put a spotlight on them and the robots fired, causing the spotlight to break in pieces. Sophia landed on top of it, her hands on the spotlight.

"Aww, too bad, now it's broken. But nice shootin'!" The two ran off and jumped away from more lasers.

Bunnie and Sally came across a door, Sally pulling at it and failing. "Ugh, locked. Bunnie, if you please?" She stepped away to give her friend some room.

"Be my pleasure, darling!" Bunnie then punched the door open. "After you." She gestured inside and the two girls walked in.

Several Swat-bots walked in a single-file line when Sophia and Sonic came out of hiding behind them.

"Hey Bot-heads! It's Saturday night, you guys need a serious bath." He turned a valve and water burst out of it. Sophia smiled as she watched the bots get swept up in the water.

Sally cut the wire to the control panel. "Ugh, that's it; the alarm system is shut down. Do it, Bunnie." She stood up with a smile and Bunnie grabbed hold of a panel.

"Ahhh!" She lifted up with all her might and broke it off, throwing it away to reveal a computer.

"That is some computer," Sally commented in awe.

"It sure is. What now, Sally-girl?" Bunnie questioned curiously.

"I'm gonna overload this sucker," The chipmunk started to do her stuff, writing appearing on the screen. Something started shaking and the computer sparked with electricity.

"Whoa! Something sure is happening," Bunnie said as Sally hid behind her, the computer overloading.

"That's it, come on!" Sally narrowed her eyes and they both yelped as some electricity almost hit them. They turned around and ran in the opposite direction. The computer emitted smoke and the building shook. Sonic and Sophia skid to a stop at the exit, where they met up with Bunnie and Sally.

"Get a grip, guys. Moto-rama time!" Sonic declared as Sophia grabbed Bunnie and Sonic took off with Sally clinging to him. Sophia flew after him, following the smoke trail. The computer exploded, giving off flames.

"Er, Dr. Robotnik?" Snively spoke up.

"What is it, Snively? I'm busy..." He was adjusting Cluck's beak with a screwdriver. "Try it now, Cluck," He held up the robotic bird, who opened and closed his mouth. Robotnik placed Cluck on his shoulder, turning to Snively. "Now, Snively?"

"T-They're gone, sir," He stammered nervously, not wanting to be yelled at.

"Who is gone?" Robotnik asked cautiously.

"The hedgehog and the alien princess, sir," Snively emphasized to him.

"The hedgehog and Sophia? Where?!" He demanded, as he didn't see them at all from his monitors.

"Near the Badlands, sir. They were with the Princess and Bunnie Rabbot."

Robotnik's eyes turned red. "Order code red alert," He ordered immediately.

"Yes sir." He pressed some buttons, but nothing happened. "Mmm, there's another problem sir, the main generator."

"Those brats!" Robotnik exclaimed in realization. "Ugh!" He slammed down a fist and then the power went out because the generator had overloaded. "Nooo! Ahh!"

The plant exploded as the group came to a stop to watch their success.

"Yeah!" They cheered upon seeing it, Sophia clapping with a smile while Sally and Bunnie jumped up and down.

"Past cool, we did it! That outta slow old metal-head down for a while!"

"Heck, without electricity, he's nothing but history," Bunnie joked, earning a small laugh from Sophia.

"It'll take weeks for him to recover from this one!" She smiled happily, but Sonic noticed a worried look from Sally's face.

"Yo, Sal, how about showing a little enthusiasm here. What's up?" He asked a little in concern.

"Oh, we need to shut down his backup generator too," She stated, since knowing Robotnik, he would have one.

"Maybe there isn't a back-up," Sonic suggested, but then the back-up generator kicked in, proving Sally's point. "Ehhh, wrong." All of them looked furious, since they thought that this was a victory. But no, now they'd have to go back in and shut down the back-up.

"Oh, I knew it, I knew it!" Sally kicked the ground in frustration, frowning sadly.

"Don't worry, Sal. We'll get him next time," Sonic assured, placing an arm around her shoulder. They started to leave, Sophia sighing a bit.

"We just have to be more...diligent," She added in, earning nods from the others.

"Those freedom fighters are beginning to concern me, Snively," Robotnik spoke up in his lair, seeing the damage to the main generator on his screen. "We must think of a way to eliminate the hedgehog and the alien princess."

"I know a way, sir," Snively smiled sinisterly.

"I'm waiting, Snively," He pressed his fingers together.

"We appeal to the hedgehog's inflated ego and to the girl's love for her family, sir," Snively brought up with a smile.

"His ego and her family?" Robotnik questioned curiously, wondering how.

"Oh yes sir, with a speed contest with the lie that we will release the girl's parents to her," Snively revealed and Robotnik hummed as he thought about it, wiggling his fingers together.

"Mmmm, I like it, Snively. They won't be able to resist the temptation!" Snively smiled proudly at Robotnik's approval. "I'll have them right in the palm of my hand."

Back in Knothole, Sonic was reading the poster advertised for the race. "Speed contest—to determine the fastest on Mobius, trophy to the winner as well as the release of Princess Sophia's parents, tomorrow at fourteen-hundred hours. Come one, come all. Man, whose Robutt-nik kidding?" Sonic chuckled after reading it. "Ha ha, he already knows who's the fastest."

"It's you, huh Sonic!" Tails smiled at him.

"You got it big guy," Sonic gave him a thumbs up.

Sally frowned, hands on her hips. "Sonic, Soph, it's just another one of Robotnik's traps," She stated in disdain.

"Yeah, he must think we're really stupid," Sonic seemed to agree with her.

"There's no way he'd release my parents willingly to me in exchange in participating for this farce of a race," Sophia crossed her arms. "I already know it's a trap because when we saw my mother, she didn't even know where my father was. And I'm supposed to believe Robotnik found him..." She shook her head in disbelief.

"I'll win that race no prob," Sonic stated, shocking the girl.

"Uh-huh. You're kidding, right?" Sally asked in disbelief.

"I'm kidding wrong! I can beat anything Robuttnik has," The hedgehog bragged and Sophia facepalmed.

"What about the back-up generator mission?" The chipmunk pointed out.

"It's cool! I'll be a diversion, and cover you guys," Sonic explained to her. "Soph can keep an eye out in case something happens. If her parents are really there, she can rescue 'em! As long as she flies out of sight from the Swat-bots, of course."

"Huh? Me? You think I'm ready?" Sophia gestured to herself in shock. While she thought it was a good idea, she wasn't sure if she could live up to the task.

"If I didn't think you were, I wouldn't suggest it!" Sonic winked at her.

"Ooh, like a spy! She'll be on surveillance," Tails said in awe.

"Huh..." Sophia rubbed her chin and smiled in agreement. "Yeah, like a spy. I like that!"

"Huh, I just—I don't think it's a good idea, Sonic. Robotnik can really hurt you! And you're putting her in danger for a race?" Sally disagreed, looking away in worry.

"Hey, I'm still here, aren't I? And Soph will step in as soon as something happens! She can do it. No prob. We got the juice," Sonic stated and she stared at them, still unsure.

"It's ready, sir," Snively announced to Robotnik, and they were standing in a dimly lit area.

"Start it now."

Snively held up a device and pressed a button. "Go!" Something sped off right past them, Robotnik watching with his binoculars.

"Yes!" Whatever it was, it was so fast that it was at Sonic's level. Snively looked at his speed checker.

"500 miles per hour, sir," He reported and Robotnik dropped his binoculars.

"Oh, that's good. That's very good indeed. Particularly since it was only going half-speed. Surprise, surprise, my foes..." He gave a sinister smile at the incentive he had over them.

Meanwhile, in Knothole, Bunnie was reading a bedtime story to Tails. Sally was at the window while Sophia walked in, holding some cocoa. "And then the little old Red-Hiding Hood said, 'Why, grand-mama, what big red eyes y'all have'! And the big ugly old wolf says 'The better to see y'all with my dear'."

Tails trembled a bit, gripping his blanket.

"That wolf is nasty, huh Bunnie?"

"Nasty as a one-eyed snake, sugar," She agreed and Sophia walked up to Sally. Bunnie looked up and noticed her worried stance. She closed the book, staring at her friend. "Uh, you okay Sally-girl?"

"I made some...hot cocoa, right? Though it didn't really look like I followed the recipe..." Sophia winced a bit as she looked at the cup, the contents looking a bit like mud...

"I'm just worried about Sonic tomorrow," Sally whipped around to them. "You as well, Soph. It's too dangerous for you two to be alone in the city just for that silly race."

"Nah-uh!" Tails smiled at her. "It's not a silly race. It's cool, and Sonic's gonna win! And Soph is gonna be an awesome spy!"

"I'm sure he will, honey," She bent down and kissed his cheek. "But sometimes he's too stubborn and he just takes too many chances."

"Oh, that sugar-hog is hard to bring down, Sally. He'll be okay," Bunnie tried to assure her, but it didn't work.

"I hope you're right, Bunnie. Oh," She sighed, looking away worriedly.

"Sal...do you just not believe in me?" The chipmunk looked towards Sophia, who looked sad towards her friend.

"What? Oh, of course I do, Soph," Sally stood up, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I'm just worried about you, that's all. What if Robotnik has guards set up just to stop people like you? Or what if you get captured with none of us there to help you? Sonic might be too distracted by the race, and he can't do anything from way up there."

"Sally...I can do this. I'm ready. You guys have taught me so much in so little time, and I'm very grateful. I wanna repay you. Trust me on this," She gestured to herself.

"I do, but Sonic-"

"Can also take care of himself," Sophia interrupted her, holding up a finger. "Yes, I don't disagree that he's stubborn, but he takes so many chances because that's who he is. And even if you tried to stop him, he'd still do it. This is all for the mission, remember? That's important too. You just need to have faith in us. If Robotnik does have something to stop him, I'll be there to stop it," She jerked a thumb to herself with a smile.

"...Yeah. Thanks for the advice, Soph," Sally smiled back.

Soon, it was the day of the race, and Robotnik was watching his screens, waiting for his enemies to arrive. However, neither of them had shown up—yet.

"Any sign of them?" Robotnik demanded to his lackey.

"No sir."

"That miserable little rodent and that princess will be here, mark my word," He glared at the screen, still waiting.

A paper flew by as Sally peeked around the corner. Bunnie and Antoine joined her side as no other robots were around, which set off some red flags.

"This is too weird. No Swat-bots!" Bunnie whispered to them as the area was completely empty of guards. Not even Swat-ships were around.

"Um, where are the Swat-bots?" Antoine asked curiously and Sally turned to them.

"At the race."

"Uh, then I like this too very much," He sighed in relief, wiping the sweat off his forehead.

Sally flinched and then turned to her friends. "Duck!"

"Duck? Where?" He looked around in alarm and she grabbed the back of his shirt, pulling him back into the alley. A surveillance device floated around, scanning the area for any intruders. Once it flew away, Antoine was shaking. The girls came out of hiding and Bunnie turned to him.

"Y'all can come out now, Antoine," She assured him and he slowly rose out of the pile of junk, a dome on his head.

"T-T-The duck is gone?" He stammered anxiously.

Every single Swat-bot was standing in single file as the racers arrived, and of course, they were Swat-Bots as well. Suddenly Sonic came in, wearing a red cloak over himself as a disguise. He glanced around for Sophia, looking up to see her come up. She was far from the Swat-bots so that they wouldn't detect her, so she focused her powers and activated her invisibility.

"That's the hedgehog! Ah, but that dreaded princess isn't with him," Unfortunately, Swat-bots couldn't detect invisibility, so Robotnik couldn't see Sophia from his screen. "No matter. Bring in our little surprise, Snively."

"Yes sir," Snively turned around to the control panel, pressing some buttons.

"This is my competition?" The hedgehog asked regarding to the ships, and he couldn't see who was inside. "Couple slow-mo hover-heads? And of course Soph's parents aren't here. Man, then I'm wasting my time," He glanced to the side, flinching in surprise to see something racing up. "What is this?" A robotic cheetah came in and Sophia gasped in surprise.

"A cheetah?! Oh no, and it looks like it could match Sonic's speed too," Sophia murmured, now a little worried like Sally was last night. "Robotnik's really putting on the stakes with this one. I gotta keep a close eye on it."

Sonic was taken aback by this robot as it turned to look at him. "That's a little better, but still no contest to me or Soph. I mean, come on, doesn't Robuttnik know who he's up against here?"

Speaking of Robotnik, he approached Sonic from behind. "Well, well, well. Who is this? Little Red-Rodent Hood?" Sonic hid his face with the cloak; because if Robotnik laid eyes on him, he'd be immediately captured... "Ha ha, a little shy are we? No matter, on with the race! And may my best machine win."

Sophia frowned a bit, she didn't like those looks Robotnik was giving Sonic. Almost as if he knew his identity already, and that just made her awareness increase.

Antoine, Sally, and Bunnie came to a stop, the chipmunk pointing forward.

"Sounds like the race is about to start. Come on!" She led the way down.

Snively looked up from the remote in his hand. "There are no rules in this race, except to stay on the marked course," He instructed them, meaning that cheating was on the table. As well as some unexpected surprises... "On your marks..." He pressed the button from the remote as it counted down from 10 seconds. Sophia bit her lip, Sonic glancing at the large robot. "Go!"

The two opponents took off at the same time, followed by the slower ships. Snively smirked as he pressed a button, activating the cameras. Sonic and the robot were neck and neck as they continued down the road. Sophia sped up her wings to catch up to them.

"Don't get too pumped, Chrome-Dome," Sonic glanced up at the robot. "I'm just cruisin'." The robotic cheetah took off, leaving behind some dust. The hedgehog looked up in surprise as a trail of paper was left behind. "Hey! That is rude!"

Sophia opened her mouth in shock, and Sonic sped up, to the point where his cloak fell off. Snively and Robotnik saw this from the screens.

"Is the first Sonic surprise ready, Snively?"

"Ready and waiting, sir," He smiled up at Robotnik evilly.

"Ha ha, it warms the cookies of my heart."

"I know the feeling, sir," The small henchmen agreed with him, pressing a button from the control panel.

The cheetah gained the lead and Sophia was on its trail...until a few lasers appeared in Sonic's path, blocking his way.

"Ahh!" He screamed as he jumped over them and Sophia sighed in relief, taking off again.

"Um!" Snively commented in shock; he wasn't expecting that.

"No! Ahh!" Robotnik growled in irritation.

"I promise sir, the next trap will not fail," Though, Snively didn't seem that confident as opposed to earlier. And he was very fearful of what would happen if the next one didn't work...

"I hope so, Snively. For your sake..." Robotnik gritted his teeth at him, and he sweated a lot nervously.

Sally took a look around with her binoculars, Bunnie and Antoine walking up to her from behind. Antoine wiped off the sweat from his brow.

"All this peace and quiet makes me sweating," He confessed to them.

"Everything makes you sweating, Antoine," Bunnie stated in amusement. "But you're still a little muffin!" She then pinched his cheek, Sally too focused on the view to comment. She then finally found what she was looking for: the entrance that would lead them to the back-up generator.

"That's it!" She then switched out her binoculars for Nicole, activating it. "Nicole, download city schematic."

"Accessing, Sally," A white light appeared before forming into the giant blueprint of the city.

"Here it is, Sally-girl," Bunnie gestured to the right point on the map.

"Nicole, sector ten, quadrant three, block six, building 2-A, interior only," The chipmunk instructed.

"Accessing," Nicole pulled up a hologram of the building.

"That's the back-up generator alright," Sally acknowledged, though they did now have a problem. "Now how do we get past those guards without Sonic or Soph?" She murmured to herself, trying to think of an idea.

The robot cheetah zipped past easily, Sonic struggling to catch up. Sophia floated down and flew next to him. "Sonic, can you hear me?"

"Loud and clear, Soph."

"I'm not 100 percent sure, but that cheetah seems to have double your speed, or at least is capable of it," She stated, looking up ahead skeptically. "And watch out for more traps, too."

"Relax, Soph. I can handle anything Robuttnik throws at the ol' hedgehog," He bragged, only to be stopped by a few ships in front of him. "Whoa!" He sped over one, and it started chasing him. "Huh, oh man!" He looked up to see a wall up ahead. He then ran up it and a ship crashed into it, exploding. "Roadhog!" Sonic called out as he raced down the road. The cheetah was still in the lead, two ships following it, and then Sophia and Sonic caught up. "They actually think that's gonna stop me?" He started running on the wall. "No brainers. Huh!" He ran to the other side, distracting the ships as they fired at him. Sophia flew in front of one and flashed her laser eyes so bright, it made one ship crash into a wall. Sonic waved to the other one. "Hasta la vista, hover-heads!"

Thankfully Robotnik didn't see it since it was light, and he wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

"Aha, this skylight here is our way in," Sally pointed to the roof on the map.

"You meanin' we gotta get up on that little old roof, right?" Bunnie asked skeptically.

"Yes, somehow..." Sally rubbed her chin. Antoine placed a hand on his cheek in thought.

"Mmm...mmm," His noises of contemplating annoyed the two, who glared at him. "I am just thinking."

"Well, think quietly! I can't concentrate with all that darn hummin'," Bunnie told him in annoyance. They then stood there as they tried to think of a plan.

"Ahem," The two turned to Antoine once again, who was clearing his throat.

Bunnie then stomped her foot, hands on her hips. "Antoine, y'all are dearly starting to tick me off," She told him honestly.

"Mmm? No, I am not even wearing my watch," He stated in confusion and she gave an exasperated look. Sally then snapped her fingers as something came to her.

"I know how to do it. Come on!" She waved them forward, walking off. Bunnie and Antoine followed, with Antoine clearing his throat again...

"Ahem."

The cheetah came across some boiling water, running on the path right next to the lake. Sonic was on its tail, Sophia still flying after them. She narrowed her eyes at the robotic cheetah, just waiting for it to do something. Suddenly a robotic arm grabbed Sonic by the waist.

"Ahh!" The hedgehog struggled to get out, to no avail. He slammed his fist against the metal. "Lemme go, bolt-bones! This is cheating! Ugh!" He started to get dragged towards the water, Sophia gasping.

Robotnik smiled happily as he saw this from the screen. "Oh, the toxic pit is a nice touch, Snively," He chuckled a bit. "A very nice touch."

"I'm rather proud of it, sir," Snively stated victoriously, thinking that Sonic would be destroyed with this one. However, neither of them knew that Sophia was around.

"Ugh! Ow! Come on, hedgehog!" Sonic encouraged himself as he tried further to break free. "You can't let this tinsel-arm make you lose the race!" Sophia came into view and then froze. If she used her laser eyes, Robotnik would know that she was there. But if she didn't, she'd fail to help Sonic... She snapped out of it and decided to risk it. She activated her lasers, firing at the claw, snapping it in half. Sonic looked down at himself. "Huh?" She then broke off the claw around him. "Now that's the juice!" He then looked up at the girl. "Soph, what about Robotnik?"

"I'll handle anything Robotnik can dish out. Saving my friend was more important," She turned visible with a wink. He winked back at her, looking back to the fallen claw.

"Don't you ever mess with the hedgehog or Princess Sophia of Xenia," He declared, the two sharing a high-five. He then looked up at the camera bravely. "There's no way you can stop me from winning this race, Robuttnik. No way. So learn to live with it, chump!"

Sophia blew a raspberry before they both left the camera behind.

"Ugh!" Robotnik growled out angrily to a sweating Snively. "He called me chump!"

"Um," He gulped nervously at his boss. "Sir, I-I can explain what went wrong. You see, i-it was a technical problem in the computer."

"You disappoint me, Snively," Robotnik tapped his fingers against the armchair.

"Sir," Snively clasped his hands. "I promise you, I have saved the deadliest trap for last." He held up a finger.

"Tell me," Robotnik demanded him.

Loud banging was heard as Swat-bots walked around, eventually leaving the area. Sally peeked around and saw no one. "It's clear, let's go!" The banging suddenly stopped and she jumped onto the ground with a grunt, followed by the half robot, half bunny. They then both looked up at their hiding spot.

"Come on, Antoine!" Bunnie called out quietly.

"Well, I am thinking that I should stand guard here," Antoine pointed to the ground. He had an issue because it was a slide heading for the ground. "And, um-"

"Move it Antoine!" They both ordered him. He slowly stepped down, stuttering along the way. He slowly made it down, screaming and then he fell.

"Antoine..." They both said in disdain.

"Come on!" Sally guided them to the skylight. Bunnie pulled away the cover and they all peeked in. The room seemed to be empty, but someone could've been lurking around...

"What now, Sally-girl?" Bunnie turned to her.

"Follow me," Sally jumped down, landing on the catwalk. "Ugh! Come on, come on!" She waved them down.

The cheetah raced around the corner, Sonic still running behind it. Sophia kept a determined look as she flew over them.

"Didn't really think you could beat the hedgehog, did ya, Speedy?" Sonic bragged to it.

"Snively!" Robotnik turned to him from his seat. "This had better be very good." He was starting to get not only impatient, but irritated by the lack of success.

"Oh, I think you'll be quite pleased, sir," Snively started off as Robotnik watched the three from his screen. "Now watch this, sir," He held up a finger and pressed a button. A panel opened up from the robotic animal's back, revealing a claw.

"Hey!" Sonic cried out as it grabbed him by the quills. "What are you doin'?!"

"Yes!" Snively cheered at this, Robotnik turning away from the screen in disinterest.

"I'm not that impressed, Snively."

"Watch this, sir," Snively jerked a thumb, the robotic cheetah throwing Sonic right into Sophia. She yelped as she lost her balance, falling onto the ground on her back.

"Soph!" Sonic glanced at her in concern before he was thrown into the air again. "Oh man! This is not cool!" He shouted as he fell, with no way to land safely.

"Oh, this is good," Robotnik pointed at the screen, enjoying this.

"Ahh!" Sonic grabbed a pole and swung around, landing perfectly on his feet. "Man, that is a perfect ten!"

"Ahh!" Robotnik shouted in frustration. The hedgehog sped over to Sophia, helping her stand up.

"Yo, you okay, Soph?"

"I'm fine," She held her head. "But my wing snapped," She lifted up her wing to reveal that the top had broken off.

"Whoa! Isn't that bad?"

"No, our wings are capable of healing on Xenia," She shook her head. "It'll just be a while before I can fly again."

"Well, at least you're alright. Now where is that long-legged chump?" He looked around as Sophia made her wings disappear. He caught sight of the robotic cheetah still on the path. "No problemo, I'm still gonna win this race!" He held up a ring and Sophia smiled, activating the rings on her wrists. They both took off at the same time, running into a shortcut. They emerged from revolving doors, catching up with the robot easily.

Sally, Bunnie, and Antoine stared up ahead at a large machine in the middle of the room.

"There it is. I have to get inside that control center to shut this generator down."

Bunnie shook her head in denial. "Doesn't look easy, Sally-girl. About the only way up there from here is on that pulley-belt." She pointed down to the pulley down below. Antoine took Sally's hand, kissing it three times.

"Not to be worried, my princess," He kissed her hand again. "I am at your service." He bowed and kissed her hand one more time before jumping off the railing.

"Antoine, wait! Are you sure?" Sally called out in concern as they looked over the railing. Surprisingly, Antoine had landed safely.

"I laugh in the feet of danger, my princess," He bragged as he approached the belt. "Ha ha ha," While being arrogant, he suddenly lost his balance. "I, uh, don't know, ah, I am a falling off ahhh!" He fell onto the conveyor belt, seeing that he was heading for a wheel! "Oh no, no, no!"

Sonic and Sophia were neck in neck with the robotic cheetah when it suddenly summoned the claw, trying to grab the hedgehog. He dodged out of the way, him and Sophia leaving smoke behind as they ran.

Bunnie climbed over and pulled at the conveyor belt, and the wobbly thing just made Antoine cling onto the belt. He screamed, looking backwards.

"Hold on, Antoine! I'll get Sonic and Soph!" Sally fired a flare into the sky, which went out the skylight.

The two were focused on beating the cheetah when they looked up.

"Huh?" A firework went off, and they headed towards their friends knowingly in a shortcut. Just as Sophia showed him earlier, helping friends was more important than the race.

"What went wrong, Snively?" Robotnik glared down at Snively, who was once again sweating in fear. "Find that hedgehog and princess!"

The two stopped in front of the open skylight. "Sal, caught your signal." They quickly jumped down to a higher level, looking down at Bunnie and Sally. "What's up?"

"It's Antoine!" Sally called out while she and Bunnie were trying to pull him back.

"Eh, Sonic Hedgehog, Princess Sophia, eh!" He cried out, almost about to be crushed.

"Oh no!" Sophia murmured in alarm.

"Coming Ant," The duo jumped and landed on the conveyor belt, running towards the wheel. Sonic jammed the ring there while Sophia helped up the sweating Antoine.

"Eh! Merci, Sonic and Soph. Merci," He said gratefully, wiping off the sweat. He hugged Sophia's legs.

"Okay, okay, Antoine," She gently pushed him away.

"We better juice. This whole joint is gonna melt," Sonic glanced back at his ring, which was starting to overheat the machinery.

"Section four, hedgehog and princess report!" Snively spoke to a Swat-bot.

"Negative."

"Snively..." Robotnik spoke up, Snively's heart hammering. "Tell me, what of the hedgehog and Princess Sophia?"

"Well sir, they seem to have, eh, disappeared," Snively said in a meek voice as the angry Robotnik approached. The robotic cheetah was next to him, since Sonic and Sophia weren't in the race anymore.

"What did you say?" He demanded and Snively gulped nervously.

"Ehhm, disappeared, sir."

Robotnik grabbed him by the shirt. "How could they have just disappeared?" He growled, shaking Snively angrily. "You little mutant, didn't you..." The lights started to dim as the machine had been shut down thanks to the power ring. "What is this?" Everything then went off entirely. "Ohh."

However, Robotnik's eyes glowed, and it was the only thing poor Snively could see as he was about to be in for it...

The Freedom Fighters were sitting around a campfire, Sally telling the story to them.

"And despite the fact that it would have been perfect if Sonic had won Robotnik's trophy, in the greater sense, we have taken a giant step to free Mobius from Robotnik!" She announced happily, earning claps and cheers.

"Yeah! All right Sonic and Soph!"

A whistle was heard and Sally turned to Sophia. "If it wasn't for you, Soph, Sonic probably wouldn't even be standing here with us. All of us are very grateful."

"Aww, it was nothing, Sal," She smiled softly, proud of herself.

Sonic held up a cup. "To a free Mobius!"

"To a free Mobius!" Everyone else stated in unison, holding their cups in the air.
