In the middle of a forest, trees were being cut down, and they fell onto the grass with a boom. When the dust settled, there was a large robot with saws standing there. Snively was controlling it with a remote right next to a Swat-bot.
"Now the Shredder will absorb the life force energy from the living tissue," He smirked, pressing a button. The Shredder activated a laser and it hit the trees...melting them to dust! "Dr. Robotnik will use that energy to power his new Sonic slash Sophia radar." He pointed at the robot, whose lights were blinking from the top of its head.
"The sensors are picking up a life force!" Snively looked at his remote, with the Shredder nearby more trees. A dust cloud appeared into view, blowing away some leaves as it was Sonic himself. He sped up a tree like a ramp and then land ed in front of the robot. "It's that miserable hedgehog. But Princess Sophia is nowhere in sight."
"Hold it right there, bird legs!" Sonic pointed up at the robot, while Sophia was actually invisible over him. The Shredder then lowered one of its saws.
"Take the intruder," The Swat-bot informed the other troops, as it was in their programming.
"Wait!" Snively stopped him, looking back at the remote. "He's a life force. The Shredder will destroy him. It should prove amusing," He smiled as he activated the giant robot. It aimed one of its tentacles at Sonic, who didn't seem fazed in the slightest.
"Look out behind you!" The machine fell for it. "Just kiddin'." He looked up at Sophia, who was waiting for her signal. Tails, Rotor, Sally, Antoine, and Bunnie were watching him from the top of a tree.
"What is Sonic doing?" Sally asked them in confusion.
"Ha! Acting like a complete fuel, as usual," Antoine remarked, hands on his hips.
The saw swung for the hedgehog, who dived out of the way. A tree was cut instead and it fell...and Sonic was standing on top of the trunk instead of in front of it.
"Ohh. Wanna play some hardball, huh? Okay." The Shredder aimed for him again and he ran off. He looked up at Sophia, giving her a thumbs up. "Check out this move!" He sped right past the robot's legs.
"Sonic, no!" Sally cried out in concern.
"That's it, sugarhog and Sophy-girl!" Bunnie encouraged them.
"Sonic! Soph!" Tails covered his eyes with his hand. Sonic missed the saw and it cut through a tentacle instead. Sophia then grabbed the fallen tentacle, and lifted it up into the air. She tripped it by swinging the thing underneath its legs.
The group cheered for them from the tree.
"What is 'appened? What is 'appened?" Antoine removed his hands from his eyes. Snively tried to regain back control, failing to do so.
"Oh my! It's out of control!"
"Commence laser fire," The Swat-bot ordered next to him. Sonic sped around the Shredder as it got back on its feet.
"Yo, goombots! Over here!" He waved a hand, the robot firing a laser. Sonic ducked and it hit the leg of the robot. Sophia then fired her laser eyes from above, destroying the weapon entirely.
"How on Earth—invisibility!" Snively gritted his teeth in recognition, since he knew Sophia's laser eyes at this point.
"Cease fire! Cease fire!" Sonic sped around the robot, and it followed after him. Snively squeezed his eyes shut as Sonic made it go over to the other Swat-bots that were preparing to fire. "Retreat! Retreat!" The robot stomped on their Swat ship, Sonic running around it and taking off. The Shredder attempted to catch him as he ran around the legs, only getting the tentacle stuck in it.
"Look out, the hedgehog is back!" He came to a stop as Sophia finally revealed herself, lowering herself down to the dirt. "Yo, bird legs! Your shoelace is untied." The tentacles got tighter and tighter until eventually, it fell to the ground in front of the alien princess. She held up a finger and then pointed a finger gun at the thing, making it explode into bits. Sophia had covered herself with her wings from the smoke, coughing a bit as her wings moved themselves from her body. Needless to say, she was still satisfied by how this turned out.
"All right! Am I cool or what?"
"Or what is the right answer," Sophia smiled in amusement at his celebration.
"That hurts me, Soph. But good work," He retorted back. "Juice time!" He took off, followed by Sophia.
The two stood in the middle of the crowd, being congratulated for taking down the Shredder. Sophia smiled at her friends.
Sonic bowed while Sophia picked up her skirt a bit, curtsying.
"Y'all are a regular hero, sugarhog and Sophy-girl!" Bunnie clasped her hands together with a smile, Antoine looking annoyed by all the praise they were getting.
"Yeah, my favorite part was when that bird-legged machine tripped and..." Rotor stepped forward, letting out a whistle. "BLAM! Ancient history."
"Oh, yes, that's the way to do it!"
"Yeah, all right Sonic and Soph!"
Sonic continued bowing while Sophia just waved with a smile at them.
"You're too kind, too kind," The hedgehog waved it off.
"I was only doing what you've all taught me: kicking some robot butt," Sophia gestured to them all.
"Soph, Soph, Soph, you can't just let me have all the credit...that is, unless you're willing to give it?" Sonic gestured to himself. "You showed that bot the Freedom Fighter way to do it."
"Well, thank you," She grinned at his statement, though being a princess, she was taught not to boast about victories, and if Sonic really wanted to gloat, he could gladly do so on her behalf.
"Weren't ya guys scared, Sonic?" Tails asked the duo.
"Heck no, little bro! I just juice 'em and reduce 'em," Sonic slammed a fist against his palm.
"Ugh, I think I will be chucking," Antoine gagged at this, pointing to his open mouth.
"Weren't you scared too, Sophia?" Tails looked up at the pink-haired princess.
"Are you kidding? I haven't been scared since I stared Robotnik in the face in a new world where I didn't know English or this world or why I was even kidnapped. It'll take a lot more to scare me," She waved it off.
"That's right, Soph's afraid of nothing," Sonic nudged her and she rolled her eyes in amusement.
"Sonic," Sally walked up to him, giving him a kiss on the cheek. He then fell into a daze. "You were great." He then fainted on the spot, concerning both her and Sophia.
"Oh, brothers!" Antoine hit the top of his head at this.
"Sonic?" Sally questioned and he got back onto his feet, perfectly fine. Sophia blinked at him, giggling to herself. Honestly, Sonic and Sally clashed so much that she learned just by watching them how opposites attracted. She found the two cute, even if Sonic was sometimes too stubborn.
"Just kiddin' Sal. Kiss wasn't that great," He stated as he felt he could do better.
"Oh, really?" She asked with an amused smile.
"Really," He replied knowingly.
"I suppose you can do better?" She placed her hands on her hips.
"Is grass green? Is water wet?" He stepped closer and kissed her straight on the lips, hugging her waist.
Sophia gasped at this, a hand in front of her mouth. "Whoa," She murmured, as she definitely wasn't expecting that.
"Yuck," Tails stated in disgust as he watched. "Eww. Gross," He covered his eyes again, and Sophia just laughed a little, patting his back.
"It's just natural, Tails," She gestured to them.
"Doesn't mean I have to like it," He pouted at this.
"Mwah!" Sonic released Sally and she smiled. "So?"
She rubbed her chin, seeming to think about it. "Mm...Not bad."
"Not bad? Not bad?!" Sonic looked a little panicked by that answer, or maybe in a small state of shock.
"Yes. As in, just okay," She told him and he placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Sal, Sal, Sal. I know it was a serious kiss. Right big guy?" He glanced over to Tails, who didn't feel happy being addressed about it. He just thought that romance was gross, he was only a kid after all.
"Nuh-uh, yuck. Blech."
Sophia just shook her head with a small smile at him. "Soph, don't you agree?"
"I've never kissed anyone. On my planet, romance usually would entail a dancing ritual once you find your soulmate at a certain age," She tapped her chin.
"Huh. Interesting," Sally commented upon hearing her explanation.
"All right, tell me anything. What does that fuel have that I do not?" Antoine asked angrily as she and Sonic walked off. He stared after them in jealousy, Sophia blinking at him.
Rotor was sitting at the lake where Sonic got his rings when Antoine came to join him, sitting on a rock. He looked noticeably upset as he looked towards the water.
"What's up, Antoine?" He asked casually.
"Nothing is up. It is what is down 'ere that is so terrible," Antoine pointed over his shoulder.
"Like what?" He wondered, confused by what the coyote meant by that.
"Like the love of my life is crazy for a fuel," Antoine clenched his fists angrily.
Rotor gave a wide-eyed look. "A fuel?"
"Yes, a fuel, a fuel!" Antoine whipped around to him, glaring. "Why is this world so difficulting to understand?" However, Rotor still looked confused. "A fuel is a stupid person," He pointed to his forehead.
"Ohh, you mean a fool."
Antoine sighed in frustration. "This is what I said. A fuel," He then sighed, turning around and putting a hand to his cheek. "The princess Sally, she does not even noticing I am alive."
"Well, Sonic is a tough act to follow. You'd have to do something major to get Sally's attention," Rotor advised him.
"For instance, like what?" He asked in return, raising a brow.
"I dunno," Rotor shrugged at him. "Capture Robotnik and bring him back to Knothole?" He then laughed after giving Antoine that suggestion. No one would dare to do that, even if it was possible. Even Sophia couldn't manage to pull that off. "I wouldn't do it. I'll see ya, Antoine," He waved a hand as he left Antoine at the lake.
He placed his hands on his cheeks, looking at his reflection in the water.
Hmm, a brilliant idea. But how can I be to do this thing, ah? He looked down at the lake and gasped as an idea came to mind. "A power ring!" He then smiled at his plan. This would get Sally's attention for sure.
Meanwhile, back at Robotnik's lair, he had just found out about the latest failure.
"The hedgehog and princess did what?!" He tapped his finger against his chair angrily as a Swat-bot approached him. He then turned it around to face Snively. "You have failed me for the last time." He pressed a button and to Snively's shock, the Swat-bot in front of him disappeared via a trap door. Cluck seemed to be amused by it as Snively gasped, looking over the edge. "Come here, Snively." He waved a finger forward.
"We tried to stop them, sir, but they destroyed the Shredder and-"
"Come here," Robotnik repeated himself, and Snively obliged, reluctantly. "How can a puny hedgehog and a tiny princess destroy a two hundred and fifty ton machine?!" He stood up as he yelled.
Snively gasped as Robotnik looked ABSOLUTELY furious. As in, the most furious Snively had ever seen so far. "Well, sir, he made it reverse direction and Sophia had turned invisible-"
"SHUT UP!" He then sat back down in his chair. "I want that Shredder built. The Great Forest must be destroyed, and every ounce of life force energy sucked out of it!" He demanded, clenching a fist. "Do you understand?"
"Yes, sir," Snively nodded meekly.
Back with Antoine, he had fallen asleep waiting for the power ring to show up. He would ask Sophia to let him borrow one of hers, but it would bring up a ton of questions from the girl. And if he told her why, she'd go and tell Sally, who would tell Sonic, and it would ruin the whole point. Not that he didn't trust her, but he had to do this without telling anyone. And besides, she always knew when someone snuck into her room at Bunnie's place for her ring, mostly Sonic.
Always.
He slapped himself awake, snapping out of it.
"Oh, you must stay awake, Antoine!" He encouraged himself. "You...you..." However, he fell asleep again, since it was a wait of 24 hours. As he was snoring, the water in front of the log glowed, and a power ring emerged from it. He snapped awake again. "Sacre bleu!" He saw the power ring and dived for it, but it went back into the water. He grabbed a nearby stick, using it to snatch the ring before it was lost, and he clearly wouldn't swim for it. It glowed as he brought it to him, smiling as he held it in his hand.
"Voila! Now, Robotnik, all you are is mine!" He declared with a smile.
A Swat-bot flew by and Antoine came out of hiding. He had a backpack on his back as he trekked through. Then he saw something up ahead, gasping as he ran off. Several Swat-bots had come into the area. He then tripped, which got the bots' attention from the noise. They used their fingers as flashlights, running forward. They scoped the area, hearing a noise from another direction. They turned around to see a robotic rat, watching as it left. Then they left after finding nothing, not noticing the shaking coyote hanging onto a ladder.
He climbed down and then walked into an alleyway, coming across a security camera. He gasped at the sight of it, backing away while shaking. He gasped and pulled out the power ring from his bag.
"R-r-r-r-Robotnik?" He stammered through his words, and he was on the screens, being seen by Snively. "I have a pow—power ring!"
"Dr. Robotnik!" Snively turned around to Robotnik, who was doing something else rather than hearing Antoine.
"What is it, Snively?" He turned to his assistant, putting up his goggles.
"If you want the ring, please to meet me at the city limits in one hour." He walked over to the screens, seeing both Antoine and the ring in his hands.
"Get his position!" He ordered Snively immediately, who put a call.
"All security robots in sector seven report to quadrant three immediately," He ordered those in the area, who started traveling to Antoine's location.
"Ah-ah, no Swat-bots.," He waved a finger. "You must come alone," However, while trying to hide the ring again, he accidentally dropped it, and it fell into a small pile of things. He gasped at this. "Sacre bleu." He then went over to find it, a ship heading towards him. He tried again to reach for the ring as reinforcements joined. He managed to grab the ring and he walked off, with the camera following him. He simply smacked it away and it flew off. Antoine ran down an alleyway, the camera bot flying right past him.
"Hover units report negative contact, sir," Snively reported back after the Swat-bot army were unable to locate him.
"I want that power ring. Ready my hovercraft!" He demanded urgently.
"Yes, sir," Snively ran off to go do so.
Sonic sped over to the lake, where Rotor said that was the last place he saw him. In fact, no one had seen the coyote for a while, even though he was supposed to be looking out in case they were under attack at any point. Sophia skidded to a stop behind him, dusting herself off. "Beat you again, Soph."
"I'll accept the loss just once," She smiled in amusement.
"Yo, Ant! It's my watch! "The hedgehog called out for him. "You can go get your ugly sleep!" He laughed at his joke, and Sophia slammed him on the arm a bit. "Too cool, too cool."
"Oy vey," The alien princess rolled her eyes before glancing around. "Huh, that's weird. I don't see Antoine."
"Where ya at, Ant?" They came across the lake, with no one in sight. "Under a rock, sheddin' your skin?"
Something hit Sophia's foot and she looked down to see the stick that Antoine got the ring with, and it was glowing...just like a power ring.
"Uhh, Sonic?" She pointed down at it and he picked it up.
"Man, I think we've got an Ant problem," He looked over to her.
Antoine was trying to cover himself from the harsh wind, but it was impossible. He sat up and then looked up ahead as Robotnik came with his hovercraft, with no Swat ships in sight. Antoine got onto his feet, walking over to the ship as it emitted smoke. The door opened and Dr. Robotnik himself stepped out.
"Do you have it?" He asked with no hesitation.
"B-b-but of c-c-course," Antoine held the ring in his hands, a bit nervous. After all, he had never seen Robotnik this close before. As the man got closer, the coyote backed away a bit, not wanting to exchange it just yet.
"Tell me, why do you betray your friends?" He asked curiously.
"T-take this and you will understand," The coyote held it up anxiously, Robotnik grinning at this answer. He stepped forward...and when he did, he fell into a trap as a hole had been dug out in front of him by Antoine. He fell down into the dirt below.
"Aaargh!" He glared up at Antoine, who looked down at him. "You little fool."
"I am not a fuel. You are the fuel," The coyote argued back.
"And what will you do with me?" Robotnik didn't seem too fazed by being caught.
"I bring you to the Freedom Fighters," Antoine took out a rope from his backpack. "Where you will stand the trial for your terrible crimes. I will be a large hero, and win the hand of Princess Sally."
"A nice dream. But dreams are meant to be..." Robotnik pressed his feet together, revealing that he had rocket boots on. Antoine whimpered as he ran away from the hole, Robotnik flying out of it. "Broken." He then fired lasers from his robotic hand, chasing after Antoine. One of them made him fall onto the ground, Robotnik flying in front of him.
"Now give me the power ring, you pathetic little rodent," He snatched the power ring from Antoine. "Now, I shall uncover its secret," He grinned evilly as he looked at it in his hand.
Sonic walked up to Rotor, Sally, and Bunnie, followed by Sophia.
"Antoine's history. We've looked everywhere," He explained to them.
"There's no trace of him," Sophia gestured to the ground.
"Are you sure?" Sally asked in concern.
"Yep. Soph and I found this at the grotto," Sonic held out the stick. "Looks like he used it to fish out a power ring."
"But the question I have is why would he do that? He can't use it," Sophia pointed to her own power ring. "He doesn't have the power capable enough to."
Rotor took the stick, shaking his head in realization. "Uh oh." He turned away, walking a few steps.
"What, Rotor?" Sally questioned as they stared at him.
"I think he might have gone after Robotnik," This earned gasps from everyone.
"What?! Why?" Sophia asked him, and the question wasn't answered.
"No way. That's too stupid a move. Even for Antoine," Sonic told his friend, who closed his eyes.
"Well, he wanted to impress Sally, and I said that if he captured Robotnik, well, that would impress her. I was only jokin'."
Sophia sighed at this, a hand on her forehead. "One thing that I know about Antoine is this: he doesn't get sarcasm, so he took what you said as a literal thing..."
"Sonic, he could be in danger!" Sally pointed out, crossing her arms.
"So?" The hedgehog shrugged at her.
"So?!" Both her and Sophia exclaimed in unison.
"There is no way that Antoine would succeed at all! It's Robotnik, remember? He has armies of Swat-bots!" Sophia made her point very clear on this. She could only imagine that Robotnik would find a way to outsmart Antoine—which wasn't that hard to do.
"He would come after you, if you were in trouble!" Sally added in, earning a look from him that said Antoine wouldn't do anything like that. Both him and Antoine clearly didn't like each other. "...Okay, maybe not. But if Robotnik gets that power ring..."
"Nah, it can't do him any good," Sonic waved it off. "The power doesn't last long for me, and no one can use it 'cept me and Soph," He gestured to the alien princess, who wasn't on his side about any of this.
"Yes, but you know Robotnik," Sally argued as he walked, she and Sophia going after him. "He could uncover its secret. Right?"
"And he'd use it for his own gain against us," The pink-haired princess gestured to herself. "He'd have the advantage!"
He had a look of realization, sitting down on a rock. "Yeah, you're right, girls," He reluctantly agreed, crossing his arms.
"But there won't be another ring for 24 hours," Bunnie reminded them, hands on her hips.
"Not necessarily. Soph's got two," Sonic smirked at her.
"Sure, I can lend you a power ring...but just make sure Robotnik doesn't get his hands on 'em," She took off the one from her left arm.
"Moi? Do you not know who I am?" The hedgehog gestured to himself.
"Won't that be a problem?" Sally asked, since she didn't know the full logistics of how Sophia's power rings worked.
"They don't have a lasting effect on me or anyone else if I take them off," Sophia assured her.
In Robotnik's lair, Antoine was surrounded by Swat-bots as Robotnik had dragged him there. He was standing in front of a big machine.
"Now we'll see if this power ring will live up to its name," Robotnik opened up the control panel, planting the power ring inside. "This radar tracks all moving objects. But the Sonic slash Sophia radar tracks only one kind: those travelling at supersonic speed or invisibility."
Antoine gasped sharply at that explanation. That meant he could sense Sophia's invisibility and Sonic's speed with that thing! The worst part was that if he didn't give Robotnik the power ring, this wouldn't be possible. And the machine did indeed work as it started beeping.
"Well, well, now who could that be?" Robotnik asked knowingly as he looked at the screen to see two red dots. Sonic and Sophia were on their way over to get Antoine (and also knock some sense into him later). "Adieu, hedgehog and princess." He pressed a button, activating the machine. As the two were traveling, they got hit with an explosion. The two screamed, falling backwards as Sophia's invisibility went away.
"Bingo."
Antoine whimpered at this; not only were they going to be mad once they found out, but he definitely didn't want them to get hurt.
Sonic sat up slowly, groaning as he held his head. "Oh man, what was that?" He looked down and gasped as Sophia was on the ground, groaning. "Soph, you okay?" He helped her stand up. "That thing made you visible!"
"I'll...survive," She snapped out of it. "But that was very strange."
"Time to motor."
The two took off again, Sophia turning on her invisibility once more.
"So, the hedgehog and princess want to play," Robotnik activated the machine, and once again, another explosion knocked the two off their feet. Sophia fell to the ground visible again. Sonic spit out some dirt while she huffed, shocked.
"What?! This is impossible; no one's ever been able to detect my invisibility."
"How's that metalhead trackin' us?" Sonic rubbed the side of his head. "Time to crank it up." He increased speed this time, Sophia turning invisible again. They took off, but got stopped AGAIN. They spun backwards, landing roughly. Sonic turned to Sophia. "You okay, Soph?"
"I'm fine..." She grunted out, slowly getting onto her feet. "I feel like I just got juiced..."
Sonic took out the power ring she gave him and sped off again, and she watched as he was blasted, landing right in front of her. She held him stand up, frowning in dismay as her power ring's glow diminished a little.
"Man, I don't get it," Sonic dusted himself off, hands on his hips. "He knows exactly when I'm juicin' or when you're invisible. We can't use our powers."
"How are we going to stop him then?" Sophia asked with a frown.
"Well," Robotnik let out a sigh. "It seems that little Sonic and Sophia is now just your average hedgehog and human. Dispatch a Swat-bot team, and make sure they're finished."
"Yes, sir," Snively nodded at him, and then he turned to Antoine.
"Oh, and, uh, turn that one into a Worker-Bot." The two bots grabbed the coyote, who cried out in alarm.
One of the Swat-bots picked up Sonic's glove and Sophia's shoe, both of the objects pretty messed up.
"Subjects in/near vicinity," The two robots entered their ship and then flew off. Sonic and Sophia came out of hiding, walking forward. Sophia looked down at her bare foot. She had to sacrifice it so that the two would know it came from her. Since Robotnik could only sense them while they were speeding, they now had to walk.
"This walkin' stuff really draws major wind," Sonic stated to her.
"You've only walked five feet," She deadpanned and he looked back, seeing that he indeed hadn't gotten that far with walking. He smiled sheepishly up at her.
A Swat-bot approached Antoine in his cell, opening up the door. He looked up as the shadow loomed over him. "No...no!" The robotic hand reached out towards him...
The duo arrived in Robotropolis, where a bunch of ships were flying around, trying to track them down. They peeked out of hiding, running at a slower pace. Sophia didn't want to take the chance of using her speed or her flying.
They ran around the corner, hiding at every spot possible in case they were found.
"Huh?" Sonic said in confusion and Sophia pulled him into an alleyway. "Yikes!" A large bus drove past and they followed it. "Man, what is going on?" They looked up to see the bus preparing for something. They could see Robotnik stepping out into the open and he entered...the Shredder. It got taken away and they could only watch.
"No way. He fixed it," Sonic stated in disbelief.
"He's gonna use it to destroy the Forest again!" Sophia gasped in realization. An alarm went off and they saw a Swat-bot coming out. They hide as they watched Antoine be taken away by Swat-bots.
"Ah, pardon, I-I-I would like the very much to be apologizing for any convenience I have caused you," He spoke as he was taken to a ship. The two ran over and jumped onto the back, hanging on as the ship flew off.
Soon, it was daylight, and the Shredder was planted at the Forest. Snively set it up while there were Swat-bots for security.
"In just a few hours, Snively. The Great Forest will no longer exist," Robotnik stated with an evil smile.
Once the ship landed, Sophia and Sonic hid behind the door, with Antoine being taken inside the building. They slowly inched inside as Antoine was heading for the Roboticizer.
"Anyway, I am so sorry for disturbing your busy schedule, and I promise it will never to be happen again. I-I also would like to be apologizing for-" He was put on the platform, and then encased in glass. He looked around in a panic, and the machine was turned on. He was hit with electricity, but a thrown screwdriver stopped the process.
"Yo, Swatheads! Lookin' for us?" Sonic waved from the doorway, Sophia saluting.
"We're right here! Come and get us!"
All the bots focused their attention on the two, firing at them. They dove out of the way, the bots emerging into the hall to find neither of them. The duo jumped down from the ceiling, running inside to set Antoine free.
"Sonic! Sophia!" He grabbed them with both his hands. "Robotnik is going to be destroying the Great Forest with his terrible Shredder machine!"
"Not on our watch he's not!" Sophia gently pushed him off.
"Yeah, I saw it! We gotta juice!" Sonic held out his hand.
"I am thinking he is using the power ring to run it!" He let the two help him up. "I...I'm sorry."
"At least you realize why it was a stupid thing to do," Sophia told him with a small smile.
"It's cool Ant. We'll stop him. Wait a sec," He snapped his fingers as he remembered something. "Does he have some new machine that knows when I'm juicin' or when Soph's using her powers?"
"Oui, oui," Antoine nodded at them. "You must not be running or using all of your powers, or else he will fire on you."
"No choice, Ant," Sonic stood in front of him. "Get a grip!"
"I can't just sit by and do nothing! I have to take the risk," Sophia told him bravely and he held Sonic's waist.
"Juice time!" The two took off to go find Robotnik.
The Shredder stepped forward towards the Forest.
"Ahh, the beginning of the end for the Freedom Fighters, Snively," Robotnik stated happily.
"Yes, sir," Snively agreed...and then they heard beeping from the radar.
"The hedgehog and Princess Sophia. How do they do this?!" Robotnik growled in realization, pushing a button. The radar activated, attempting to attack them, but both of them dodged it.
Snively looked up at the machine. "They're still coming, sir."
"Switch to proton load!" Robotnik demanded and Snively pushed a big red button. "Let's see how they handle this!"
The two stopped at a cliff, Antoine jumping off the hedgehog.
"Yikes!"
"Sonic! Sophia! The cannons!" Antoine pointed down at them.
"Got an idea," Sonic smiled as he formed a plan. "Hang on, Ant!" Antoine hung onto him as he and Sophia sped off down the cliff quickly.
"Sacre bleu!" The coyote cried out.
"That's it, hedgehog and princess. Just a little closer," Robotnik's finger lingered over the red button. The two ran up the Shredder, standing on top of it. Antoine saw the cannons pointed at them and yelped, hugging Sonic's waist again.
"Outta here!" The blaster fired and the two jumped off, resulting in the Shredder being destroyed in a giant explosion. The two slid to a stop in front of Robotnik.
"I do not give up easily, you two. Look around you," He stated smugly as they were surrounded completely by Swat-bots.
"Huh?" The three backed up, Antoine jumping up a bit.
"This is a stupid question, but...have any ideas, Ant?"
"Sonic!" Sophia slapped him on the arm a bit.
"I-I-ideas?" Antoine asked nervously.
"As in, any way to get us out of this? They can still sense when I go invisible," Sophia whispered to him.
Robotnik slowly stepped up to them. "You know, I have always wanted to roboticize you, hedgehog and princess, but...I've changed my mind. Laser rifle." He was handed the weapon and Antoine remembered the power ring. He took it from inside the robot.
"Sonic, Sophia, look," He held it out to them, and the two beamed.
"All right, Ant! Let's juice!" Antoine handed him the power ring, Sonic giving Sophia's hers back. She hid her hands behind her back, slipping it back on. They activated their rings, activating them and speeding off. "Oops, missed that one." Every single Swat-bot missed them. "Aw, nice try."
"Hold still, you miserable rodent and brat!" Robotnik whipped around as he saw them, trying to get a good shot, but failing. The three stood right behind him.
"Here we are!" He and a bot both fired, but missed as they hit the radar machine. "Nice shot, buttnik! Adios."
"Au revoir!"
"Bye bye!"
The three all left him behind and Robotnik clenched a fist. "We will meet again, hedgehog and princess. I promise." He gritted his teeth in anger.
"It must have been just a horrible experience, facin' that awful Robotnik," Bunnie stated as they were telling the story to their friends.
"Yeah, it was, but-"
"It was terrible!" Antoine suddenly interrupted. "There I was, Robotnik on the one side of my side, ten thousands of Swat-Bots on the other."
"Wow! Ten thousand?!" Tails exclaimed excitedly.
"Well, maybe perhaps five thousand if you were counting. Give or took."
"Weren't you afraid?" Tails asked him.
"Moi? Afraid?" He gestured to himself. "But of course not! I am never afraid."
Sophia rolled her eyes. "Oh brother..." She then walked away from them as she was getting déjà vu, it felt like Sonic was telling the story instead.
"Anyway, I had nowhere else to go, ah, and had only my very naked hands as weapons," Sonic crossed his arms with a frown. "They are a scared of me, so I totaled them," Sally 'pssted' to Sonic and they ran off. "You shall ever never take me alive!" Bunnie and Rotor started to leave as well. "I knew I would have to fight them one at a time, and there I was alone, shaking, but only because it was cold. Apart from that, it was beautiful..."
Only Tails was listening to the story now, not that Antoine seemed to mind...
