Angel: Yes, I know that I put this story on hiatus, but I really don't wanna get into why, other than the fact that I moved away, because that did happen while I was trying to come back. It had nothing to do with Owl House, well, partially Owl House. Not because of favoritism, but because like Sonic Satam, it's a 21-minute show, and doing two of those at the same time was...not the best idea, sad to say. And to those still wondering about TMNT, show me a date when the Rise of the TMNT film comes out and then we'll talk XD Thankfully Owl House is on hiatus right now, and the next two stories I'm doing will be 11-minute episodes and shorter to tackle.
Speaking of Sonic, yes, I did see the trailer for the second live-action movie, and it looks awesome! Can't wait to see it, and hopefully there will be a third movie with Shadow or Amy in it. And hopefully I will love it, though I'm like 90 percent sure that I'm gonna love this, especially since the action looks cool, and Knuckles is gonna be in it, and he sounds badass like the Knuckles that we all know him as. And yes, I will write the movie when it comes out, and hopefully not delay it for a year like I did with the first one for reasons that I already went into when I released that...
In Robotropolis, a large rocket had steam coming out of it. Two SwatBots were walking away from it while other robots were being loaded into it. Once the last one was in, the doors closed behind them. Robotnik watched this process from his lair. "Five...four...three...two...one...ignition." Snively pressed some buttons from the control panel and the rocket activated its jets.
"It's a go, Doctor," He turned to his boss. "The spy ship is being boosted to flight altitude."
"My Sky Spy, Snively," Robotnik smiled sinisterly. "A magnificent sight, don't you think? And we have our royal highness to thank for...assisting us," He smiled evilly, referring to Sophia.
"Affirmative, Sir," Snively smiled in agreement, turning back to the screen. "Magnificent." The ship then launched high into the sky, disappearing from sight.
"If the hedgehog and princess only knew what was in store for them...it warms my metallic heart," Robotnik commented as the ship went all the way to space, dropping a smaller rocket towards the planet...
It flew all the way down into Knothole Village, a whistle being heard. Then it crashed so loud that it woke up everyone around. Sonic sat up in bed in alarm, Sophia gasping as she got out of bed.
"What the heck was that?" He asked in confusion.
Once everyone found the source, they were all wondering the same thing as it had crashed into the trees. Everyone was talking at the same time, staring up at the rocket in front of them. Tails looked up at it and tried to touch it, Rotor walking up to him and pulling him away.
"Careful, Tails. Still hot," He warned the young fox. Sophia slid down to where they were, gasping at the rocket in front of her. She noticeably got a little pale and by the look of her face, she seemed to recognize the rocket.
"What is that old thing?" Bunnie wondered curiously, touching the material herself.
"It's a rocket booster," Sally stated, hands on her hips.
"Definitely a Robuttnik war toy," Sonic added in from on top of the rocket. He noticed the look on Sophia's face. "What is it, Soph?" He asked in confusion.
"That's...technology from my home..." She answered slowly, earning shocked looks from everyone around her.
"It is?!" They all exclaimed as the alien stepped up to the rocket, lightly touching it.
"Yes...it's from the ship he captured me and my parents from," She elaborated to them, trying to hide how furious she was. First he kidnapped her and her parents, then he roboticized them, and now he was using technology from her own planet for his own selfish gain, using it to attack her friends...
"He's up to another one of his evil schemes," Sally pointed out and then Tails noticed something.
"Sally!" They all gasped at him as he pointed forward. "Look up there!"
"Is that some kind of satellite or what?" Bunnie questioned as a part of the spy ship flew right past their location.
"Nah; it's too low for a satellite, Bunnie. I bet it's some kind of spy ship," Sally explained to her friend, shocking her.
Afterwards, they decided to get a closer look by using Rotor's telescope to figure out what was going on. "Yeah, you were right on, Sally. It's loaded with all kinds of sensors. Definitely a spy ship," He had no doubts that it wasn't because of all of the satellites and technology from the spy ship," He turned to the pink-haired girl. "And you said this is from the ship you were traveling in?" He asked curiously, earning a nod. He stepped back as he let Sophia take a look for herself.
"All those sensors are for different types of dangers, but he's changed them to apply towards your species," She gestured to them, frowning. "Those parts were all salvaged from when he took our ship out of its course." She then moved out of the way so Sonic could get a look. "When reworked, it can enable Robotnik to spy on anything he wants to!" She explained to their shock. "I bet that's why he took our parts."
"We're gonna have to trash it," He told them all. "If that's okay with you, Soph."
"It'll be fine," She assured him. "I wouldn't want anything else from my planet to get into the wrong hands more than it already has," She narrowed her eyes.
"But how? It is way up there and we are way down here," Antoine pointed out.
"I can pick up its signals on my CompuRadio," Sally smiled, jumping down from her spot.
"Maybe we can do something with the old rocket booster," The hedgehog rubbed his chin in thought, confusing everyone but Sophia.
Rotor, Sophia, and Sonic were standing in front of the rocket, rigging it up so that the two speedsters could give it power. Sophia had stated that she didn't have enough power to do it herself because it was a big rocket booster.
"We're ready, Rote," Sonic pressed a button, both him and Sophia on a machine that would give the rocket energy.
"Go for warp!" Rotor gave them a thumbs up. Sophia gave him a small salute.
"Piece of cake," Sonic returned the thumbs up, pulling out a ring. "Juice time!" He sped up his legs, Sophia doing the same but without a ring. Rotor looked at the increasing levels, smiling. "We are cooking now, baby!" He hollered, cheering which earned a laugh from his pink-haired friend.
"Supercharge city, guys!" Rotor stated, giving them both another thumbs up. "Cool!" Sonic tucked his ring into his bag and they both flipped out of the machine, landing in front of Rotor to give him a high five.
"Yeah, man. Vrrroooom! We're out of here." Sonic pumped his fists. "Soph, you know how to work this thing?"
"I've seen my father do it, but it shouldn't be too hard," She rubbed the back of her neck. "Hopefully."
"You got this, Soph," Rotor encouraged her and she smiled gratefully.
Back at Robotnik's lair, the sky ship had detected the rocket's activation. "Sky spy sensors are sending new data, sir," Snively reported, seeing a blip on the map in front of him that was beeping. "We've picked up some electromagnetic radiation coming from the Great Forest."
"This may be it, Snively," Robotnik rubbed his chin. "Launch a Stealth Bot."
"Yes, sir," He pressed a big blue button, sending out the Stealth Bot into the sky. Robotnik smiled, pressing his fingers together.
"Now, we will find Knothole. Oh, this is good," He whispered in delight.
"Robotnik..." Sally was tuning into her radar to get more information about Robotnik's plan. That sky ship concerned her... "Knothole...is..."
"Listen. There," She honed in on the words, but they weren't conveying anything clear or close to what the plan was.
"Is...hedgehog...princess..."
"What kind of tongue is speaking those funny things, eh?" Antoine wondered as Sally got to work on fixing it.
"Nicole, apply voice descrambler," She ordered, typing into her computer.
"Descrambler online, Sally," Nicole displayed the translation for Sally, who looked closely at it.
"It says...Message from Sky Spy to Robotnik. Sensors probing for location of Knothole..." Antoine was writing this down to make sure he got everything. "Sky Spy! Soph was right, Robotnik is spying on us!" He gasped sharply at this revelation.
"Here's some more. Sky Spy sensors now guiding Stealth Bot into the Great Forest." She stood up quickly and went over to a rope, ringing the bell.
Everyone was gathered in front of her once they heard the bell. "I have bad news," She spoke up to them. "Sophia had the right idea. Robotnik's sky sensors are zeroing in on Knothole. A Stealth Bot is on its way. You got any ideas?"
Sonic winked at Sophia and Rotor and they gave each other knowing looks.
The hedgehog and alien princess used their power to start up a satellite, Rotor turning to them.
"Cool, Sonic and Soph. It's juiced!" He gave the both of them a thumbs up. The duo let go and flipped, landing on opposite sides of Rotor, who was looking through his binoculars. "Here it comes. It's locked onto our energy field." He watched as the Stealth Bot got out of control.
Sonic snatched the binoculars from Rotor, which annoyed the walrus a little. "Time to eat your lunch, Stealth Bot."
The Stealth Bot fired at them, Sophia firing back with an attack of her own and missing. "We can't stand here," She warned them as she ushered them towards the lever. Rotor pulled it and the satellites activated.
"Let's juice, Rote," Sonic grabbed his hand, speeding off with Sophia not too far behind. The rays from the satellites affected the Stealth bot and it crashed into the trees. It then bounced once it hit the ground, landing in the water.
"Way to go!" Sonic cheered as the trio shared a high-five. "Scratch one Stealth Bot."
They returned to the rocket, where they were setting it up to launch. Sophia looked at the control panel with Tails.
"Ready to motor, Rotor?" Sonic called out, Rotor waving from the open door of the rocket.
"Let 'er rip!" He called back, the hedgehog turning to the pink-haired princess and the two-tailed fox.
"Hit it, guys."
"Cool! We ready, Soph?" He looked up at the princess who stepped back, hands on her hips.
"Yes. I just hope that it still works," She wiped her forehead with the back of her hand. "I'll let you push that button right there to start it up," She pointed to the white button underneath some red ones. He smiled and pressed it, and the engine was heard. Rotor peeked out again from the entrance.
"You guys ready to rock and roll?"
"We're ready, sugar!" Bunnie called out from down below, her and Antoine holding a rope.
"Go for it!"
The two pulled with all their might, having attached a pulley to the tree to get the rocket in place.
"I am thinking I will blow a casket..." Antoine wheezed out, since he wasn't really known for upper body strength.
"Oh, sugar, I'm the one who's gonna blow a casket," Bunnie complained right back. They continued pulling the rocket straight up.
"Steady, guys!" Sally encouraged them as she arrived, holding Nicole in her hand. "Nicole, bring up launch angle data for booster."
"Searching, Sally...program accessed." She was shown a hologram of the rocket of the angle that it needed to be in for it to launch properly.
"Hold it there, guys," She told the two, Antoine tying the rope to a tree.
"Got it, Sally!" Bunnie gave her a thumbs up and the chipmunk smiled, turning to the hedgehog and her fellow princess friend.
"Ready for launch, guys!"
"Do it to it, Sal," Sonic peeked out while Sophia flew up towards him. He grabbed her hand and pulled her inside. Once her feet touched the floor, she turned around and closed the door. Sonic looked to Rotor, who was setting up everything from his end.
"Five...four...three...two...one," Sally and Tails did the countdown and she pressed a button.
"Ignition!"
The rocket took off at full speed, Bunnie and Tails waving after them in encouragement. "Bye, Sonic! Bye, Rotor! Bye, Soph!" Tails called out.
"Good luck, guys!" Sally gave an encouraging thumbs up. The trio held on due to turbulence before the rocket took off into the sky, into space.
"Way, way past cool Rote," Sonic commented while Sophia stepped forward, checking over everything.
"We did it," The trio shared another high-five. "Yes! Check it out, guys," He pointed to the window and Sonic looked out to see Mobius.
"Man, that is beautiful. From here you can't tell Robotnik is destroying everything," The hedgehog stated, Rotor joining his side. Sophia was pressing some buttons. She had seen the view from when she and her parents were kidnapped, so she wasn't missing much.
"We'll get him, Sonic," The walrus said in determination, the princess faltering a little as wind blew in. She wished her technology from her planet wasn't being used for evil purposes, her planet was peaceful...they had good intentions, and it upset her that her technology was being used for things she had to stop...
"Yeah," Sonic glanced over his shoulder. "He's nothing but a nothing..." He then looked past Rotor and noticed that Sophia had been quiet. "Hey, you okay, Soph?"
"I just..." She faltered, sighing deeply. "I'm really sorry that my technology is being used for spying on you and whatever else Robotnik has planned. I wish it didn't exist," She frowned a little. Rotor went over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"You didn't create it, Soph. You don't need to feel guilty about it," He explained to her.
"Yeah, it's Robuttnik's doing, not yours. Don't feel bad for what he does," Sonic narrowed his eyes and she smiled gratefully.
"Thanks, guys."
However, Rotor noticed something as smoke clouds were filling the atmosphere. "Uh oh. Problemo," He told the duo.
"Man, that junk heap is polluting the air big time," Sonic said in disgust. "What's up?" Sophia pointed to a lever and Rotor pulled it. They had just arrived at the spy ship.
"We're already there..."
"And there's no place to land!" They all exclaimed in unison, screaming as they were getting closer and closer to crashing...
Rotor backed away from the window, panicking a little. "There's gotta be some place to land!"
Sophia ran over to the controls, Sonic looking at her. "I see a place, guys, cruise in for a closer look, "She pulled a lever, making the rocket swoop down a little. They passed by the material and Sonic found a spot, pointing to it. "Drop into that slot."
Rotor plugged in two cables and Sophia struggled to control the rocket, crashing it a little. The two boys fell onto the ground, and they slid all the way over to a door. They yelped as they braced for impact, and when they crashed, Sophia fell backwards onto the floor. Rotor and Sonic opened their eyes, glancing to each other. Then they saw the alien across from them still on the ground.
"Soph!" They ran over to her, helping her up. She groaned, holding her head.
"Nice flying," Sonic told her sarcastically. "You okay?"
"I was trying my best, I never actually flew the rocket, my father usually did," She protested back. "Other than that, I'm fine." Once they made sure she was okay, Sonic opened up the door and they jumped out of the rocket.
"Think anyone saw us?" Rotor whispered as their shadows appeared on a wall while they were sneaking around.
"Like who? The joint looks deserted," Sonic retorted back.
"Naw, we couldn't be that lucky."
"Rotor is right. Looks can be deceiving," Sophia agreed with him as she looked around, trying to listen for any noise, but she didn't hear anything yet.
"Yeah," Sonic agreed with the both of them. "Somewhere we'll run into butt bots, guaranteed." The three didn't notice a shadow moving behind them, and because they hadn't made any noise yet, Sophia had yet to hear them. "Whadya say, guys? You think the main sensors are in there?" He wondered as they looked around with their eyes. Sonic was asking about a building that was a few feet away.
"Won't know until we get inside," He told them quietly.
"Well let's-"
"Uh oh," Sophia interrupted Sonic in alarm, stepping backwards and moving them back. "Guys, we have a problem..." And she was right as a large robot stepped in front of the trio, Rotor gasping sharply at it.
"Yikes!"
"Man, and I thought the Swatbots were ugly!" Sonic commented, the robot opening up a dome to give video back to Robotnik. His back was turned in his lair, Snively staring at him.
"Doctor Robotnik, a video transmission from Sky Spy..." He reported, watching his boss turn around in his seat to see his enemies.
"The hedgehog and Princess Sophia? How is that possible?" Robotnik demanded, standing up on his feet.
The trio backed away from the robot, looking at it wide-eyed. "It's a Surveillance Bot!" Rotor exclaimed in alarm.
"Oh, yeah? Yo, Robotnik!" Sonic spoke up to the robot. "This beach ball of yours is going down, man, hard and fast. Count on it," Sophia and Rotor stared at him in surprise. He then grabbed their hands and sped off with them.
"The hedgehog and Sophia won't last the night," Robotnik declared, shaking a fist. "Snively, alert Sky Spy of their presence."
"This is Sky Spy control," Sky Spy spoke when contacted by Snively.
"Freedom Fighters on board. Capture at will," Snively ordered Sky Spy.
"Affirmative. Code Three alert," There was a robot inside Sky Spy that controlled all the cameras and controls inside the ship, which Robotnik had built for the ship to navigate through Sophia's technology. An alarm went off, rain drops falling on Sonic and the others as the trio peeked around the corner.
"Sounds like the word is out on us, Rote and Soph. Huh?" He looked up at the drops falling on them in confusion, and they looked up to see a large creature grabbing them by the tentacles. They all screamed as it was a creature that drooled by the mouth, and it got on Sophia's hair.
"Ewww," She shuddered in disgust from this, and considering how she was an alien, that said a lot. "Oh, that's gonna take me weeks to get out..."
"Hang in, guys. I'm gonna teach this drooler some manners," Sonic informed, speeding his legs onto a platform nearby. He went all the way over to a wall, running up it. He then went around a beam, tangling the tentacles in it. He swung himself free, sliding all the way down to Rotor. He managed to get his friend free while Sophia used her laser eyes to hit the eyes of the creature, which caused him to let go of her. She reached her friends and grabbed hold of them, activating her wings and flying them safely onto another platform.
"You okay, guys?" Sonic asked the duo, Sophia dusting off her skirt.
"Me? Didn't scare me a bit," Rotor laughed it off, waving a hand. "L-L-Like a rock." Even though he was in denial, he was shaking from the experience.
"And I've been through worse," Sophia added in, all of them sharing a handshake.
"Way cool. Let's check out the town," Sonic started walking and they joined him, the alarm still going off. "Maybe we can find something else." They reached a building, looking up ahead as other robots were either flying or walking around. "That's the place, guys," The hedgehog whispered to them.
"The place for what?" Rotor turned to him in confusion.
"To get some info on the sensor."
"Yeah, right," The walrus retorted back sarcastically. "You're just going to stroll in there and ask," He gestured to the entrance, which was being guarded by a robot checking other robots in. So it would be hard to get through without even being shot at.
"That's not that unbelievable," Sophia shrugged at him.
"As Sal would say, 'I have a plan'."
"I always thought you ignore her," The pink-haired princess raised a brow at him.
"Nah, I just make her believe that," He laughed a bit, waving it off. Rotor and Sophia gave each other a blank look upon hearing that answer.
Two robots were wrestling until one of them won, and when it did, it stood up and pumped its fists, much to the dismay of the losing robot. Other robots were either drinking oil or listening/dancing to the band nearby. However, everything immediately stopped once they heard a guitar, looking up ahead to see...Sonic dressed as a robot. He had a tin can over his head, a toilet plunger over his nose, buckets taped to his feet, and was holding a makeshift guitar. He also had grey gloves over his hands. He slowly stepped forward, the other robots moving away immediately as he walked up to the stage.
"Mind if I sit in?" He ducked his head as a chair was thrown at him. "Don't mind if I do." He then flipped onto the stage, continuing his playing. The robot who was playing the saxophones went up to him.
"You better be good, man, or you're tinfoil," He spoke, with his saxophones acting as his mouths. Sonic glanced behind him as one robot played the drums, another one playing the keyboard. The hedgehog continued to rock out on stage, stepping on a robot's back before kneeling...and was met with negative reception. The saxophone robot went over to him. "Man! You are terrible...knotworst!"
"Yeah? Well, you don't blow such a hot nose yourself." The robot attacked him, but he swung his makeshift guitar to knock him off stage, hearing a crash. "Oops. Gotta watch that first lunge, double dork."
The robot crawled onto the stage, revealing that his saxophones were now damaged. "Now that's cool! You look good dented," Sonic remarked, the robot getting onto his feet.
"Where's your gig, man?" He demanded to the hedgehog.
"Spy sensors," Sonic simply remarked.
"A Brain Bot, huh? We HATE Brain Bots here!"
"Yeah, must be a bummer not to have a brain," Sonic retorted back, which offended the robot.
"I have a brain."
"Oh, yeah?" The hedgehog challenged him.
"Yeah!"
"Bet you can't even answer a dumb question," Sonic pointed up at the robot.
"Try me."
"Okay. Where are the spy sensors?" The hedgehog asked the saxophone robot.
"Building 105. South tower," The robot jerked a thumb behind him.
"Cool. You do have half a brain," Sonic commented and for this, the saxophone robot responded by taking a deep breath and blowing large gusts of wind at the hedgehog. This in turn blew his disguise right off of him.
"Hey! You're bogus, man!" He reached out to grab Sonic, who jumped out of his disguise and off the stage. "He's a Freedom Fighter! Get him!"
"You got that right, twin beaks!" Sonic pointed up at him, the other two just watching from outside through a window. Sonic looked back as all the robots were marching up to him, ready for a fight. "Yo! Hold it! Hold it!" He held up a hand and they stopped once they were surrounding him in a circle. "Know what your problem is? You're all ugly. Look, I'd like to hang and insult you some more, but I gotta juice. Adios!"
He revved up his feet, pushing past some robots and skidding to a stop in front of his friends. "Whatcha find out?" Rotor asked curiously.
"Tell ya on the way; we're gone!" Sonic exclaimed as the walrus grabbed onto him and he took off. Sophia sighed knowingly as she flew after her friends.
"Oh course you angered them..." She said knowingly, glancing back at the robots who had just ran outside. However, because they couldn't match up to the two in terms of speed, they couldn't go after them.
The three were at a railing, standing on a platform that overlooked the large satellite in front of them.
"That's the spy sensor...building 105, south tower," Sonic told them.
"That looks like the place, alright. And here's our ride," He grabbed a large beam, standing on the metal as a rope was over their heads.
"Let's slide, guys."
"Do I really need to do this? I already fly..." Sophia raised a skeptical brow at them.
"True, but you've gotta try it out, Soph. Trust me, if you don't, you'll miss out," Rotor explained to her and she sighed. She stepped forward and jumped so that she was in the middle of them, grabbing onto the two metal rings. They ziplined down into the building, and they crashed. Unfortunately, one of the robots heard them and stepped forward, not noticing the hedgehog was standing right behind it. It froze and then Sonic sped around it as it kept turning its head. After a few seconds, it continued walking, Rotor appearing right in front of it.
"Oops. Uh, hi. What's up?" He feigned innocence, the robot reaching out to him. Sonic kicked it from behind while Sophia let her wings fall while she was flying above it. She landed on its shoulder.
"Lock-up time, chrome-dome," Sonic grabbed its arm and clamped its claw to a pipe.
"Spring loaded. That should lock it up tight," He glared at the robot, who struggled to get free.
"But just to be sure," Sophia flipped and landed in front of the robot, blowing a raspberry. It swung the other claw hand at her, but she used her laser eyes to deflect it onto the pipe above its head, and the hand got stuck there. Sonic landed between her and Rotor.
"Need anything else? A pillow? Soft drink?" The hedgehog mocked in a snooty tone before grabbing Rotor and taking off. Sophia flew after them and they stopped in front of a satellite dish. Sonic turned to the walrus. "Your call, Rote."
"We've gotta disconnect that main sensor tube," He informed the duo, Sonic turning around.
"Sensor tube? Oh, sensor tube. I knew that."
"Sure you did," Sophia remarked, hands on her hips. They watched Sonic speed towards the satellite dish and he ran in the center of it. He took out the sensor tube, running back to the two with it.
"Bingo! Whoa, that sucker's hot! Hoo-wee! Hey Soph, why don't you do the honors?" He handed the tube to her and she smiled at him.
"Thanks, Sonic. Robotnik, this is for using my technology for your own selfish purposes!" She then threw it hard down the pit. The pipes around the pit started to get electrified thanks to the sensor tube down below.
"Yes!"
"Yay!" Sophia cheered, clapping happily.
"Yes!" Sonic exclaimed as the trio shared a high-five. "Are we cool or what?" The electricity intensified, which didn't go unnoticed by Robotnik or Snively from the lair.
"What is this, Snively?" He demanded angrily as he turned in his chair, gesturing to the screens. Snively walked up to him, wearing a pair of headphones.
"I suspect it's the hedgehog and Princess Sophia, sir."
"The hedgehog and the princess?" Robotnik asked furiously.
"Yes, sir," Snively answered nervously.
"Then don't you think it would be wise for you to stop them?!" He slammed down a fist and Snively let out a nervous squeak.
"Yes, sir. Very wise, sir," He stammered as he saluted, walking off. Robotnik pressed a button to see what was going on with the Stealth Bot. Once he saw the image, Stealth Bot was aimlessly flying around the trees, unable to get a reading on Knothole or anything else.
"The Stealth Bot lost its tracking signal, Snively. Recall it," He gritted his teeth, tapping his fingers against the table.
"Will do, sir. Stealth Bot 208...mission aborted," Snively ordered it and he watched Stealth Bot fly away from the trees.
"Repeat. Mission aborted. Return to base. Return to base," Sally and Antoine were listening in on this from Knothole in her hut. She got out of her chair and looked out the telescope, seeing that the base was electrified.
"Yes. Yes! They did it. The spy sensor is history," She reported happily to Antoine, who took a look for himself. He gasped once he saw it.
"Sacre bleu. It look extremely dangerous..." He stated in slight fear, thankful that he wasn't there himself.
"It's some kind of high voltage chain-reaction. I hope they're heading home," She looked up to the sky in worry for her friends.
The high voltage reaction was still going on while the three made it to a ship that was docked on a platform.
"There's our ride home, guys," Rotor pressed a button to open the door. "We'll just cruise back to Mobius in style," He crawled inside, the two speedsters glancing at each other. This was one of Robotnik's ships, so flying it might be a challenge...
They jumped into the seats, Sonic leaning against the chair. He watched as Rotor was trying to figure out the controls, which he was unfamiliar with. "You're cool flying this thing, right Rote?"
"Well...pretty cool." He flipped a switch and everything turned on.
"Let's juice," Sonic smiled as he and Sophia buckled themselves in. The ship then flew off smoothly. "Way to motor, Rot-ski!"
"Yo, Rote; are we going any higher than two feet?" Sonic asked as they weren't even in the sky.
"It's got turbo burners somewhere..." Rotor flipped up a panel that had four switches.
"Whatya mean 'somewhere'? Flip 'em all!" Sonic encouraged him, getting impatient.
"I'm not sure that's safe..." Sophia frowned in concern, but Rotor did it anyway, and it turned out, she had a right to be concerned.
"Oops."
The ship took off at a speed that felt at Sonic's level. "Bingo, baby! Adios, spy butt!" He hollered as they got away from the base. They eventually came back to the Great Forest, Sonic pointing up ahead. "There's Knothole. Drop the old bucket into the sling."
"Easier said than done, Sonic," Rotor gave an unsure look, as he didn't know what controls would let them land.
"You can do it, Rote. Piece of cake," Sonic said casually.
"What I think he means to say is that you can figure this out," Sophia patted his shoulder.
"Okay. Here we go..." He pulled the levers forward and they descended down, flying past trees. They flew right over Tails and Sally in the village as they were waiting for their friends to come back.
"Wow-wee!" Tails exclaimed in awe, his mouth opening in shock as a large crash was heard. He covered his eyes, but peeked anyway as the ship...had crashed into a large tree, snapping it in half. The two ran up to the ship, the trio glancing at each other.
"Ugly, but cool," Sonic commented as they shared another high-five.
"Very ugly," Rotor said weakly.
"Agreed, but please never do that again," Sophia took a deep breath, trying not to be sick.
"Are you guys alright?" Sally hollered from outside, knocking on the door. It opened and Sonic met with her face-to-face.
"Sure. No problemo, Sal. What's up?"
"There's a new 'problemo'. Sky Spy is looking a little...shaky," She reported back to them.
Once she got them back into her hut, Sonic looked out the telescope. "Whoa. You're right, Sal. Definitely shaky," The sky spy was covered in electricity from inside and out, shaking a little. "The ol' Sky Spy could trash Mobius big time. What's happening, Soph?"
"That sensor tube must be overloading, and so the voltage is being unstable because it can't handle that kind of power. It'll explode in a city-wide range if we don't get it away from here," She warned them, earning gasps.
"Somehow we have to guide it down somewhere away from Knothole," Sally crossed her arms, turning to Rotor. "Rotor, what about your super magnet?"
He rubbed his chin and then beamed as he got an idea.
The three were standing on a crater, Rotor lifting up his magnet. Sonic used his binoculars to get a closer look, zooming on Sky Spy. "The junk ball is about to cut loose, Rote. Get ready to juice it."
"Contact," Rotor flipped a switch to activate his magnet, and its rays went all the way over to Sky Spy. They watched in anticipation, and then saw Sky Spy heading towards them. "It's happening, guys. Big time! Let's haul some serious haunch!" Rotor braced himself behind Sonic and Sophia.
"Rocket time!" They took off as Sky Spy landed in the crater and exploded. Cluck flapped its wings.
"Listen closely, Snively; it could be crucial to your health," Robotnik seethed to him, shaking. He slowly turned to Snively in his chair. "The hedgehog, Princess Sophia, and their band of fools will be eliminated! Do I make myself clear?"
Snively sweated at the threat, tugging at his collar. "Y-Yes, sir. Very clear, sir."
Sally had gathered everyone around when Rotor, Sonic, and Sophia returned. "By working together, we stopped Robotnik one more time." The Freedom Fighters cheered for their victory. "We owe a special thanks to the courage and ingenuity of Sonic, Sophia, and Rotor."
"Take that you sneaky Robotnik!" Antoine called out while the crowd cheered their names.
"Sonic! Sophia! Rotor! Sonic! Sophia! Rotor! Sonic! Sophia! Rotor! Sonic! Sophia! Rotor!" Sonic bowed to them while Sophia waved with a smile.
"Hey, Rote!" Sonic called out, but he was nowhere to be found.
"Where is Rotor?" Sally asked curiously.
"Sonic, Soph, check it out!" Rotor rolled something over to them, and it looked like a large hair dryer. "My latest invention...a nifty quill styler, made especially for hedgehogs. You could use it, Sonic. All that electricity trashed your 'do. Give it a shot." Sonic jumped onto the small conveyor belt, putting the dome over his head. "Hit it!"
Sonic ran and they backed up a little, especially when Sonic was lifted up off the belt. "Whoa!" He landed roughly and his quills...looked ridiculous to say the least.
"Uh, oh," Rotor murmured at this, Sophia giggling.
"Uh...nice quills," Sally remarked and Sonic took out a mirror, taking one look at himself and screaming.
