Angel: I apologize if I get things wrong with the disguised robot bits with Sally, Bunnie, and Antoine, because there's no other way to distinguish them other than their voices since they all look the same in those robot disguises lol
And yes, it's Monday, a day late, but yesterday I was way too busy to upload because I was out the entire day, and the episode wasn't finished, so I finished it today.
Through a deserted field with half of it dark and the other half having light, Sonic was running around it, going past some trees.
"Sonic, where were you when the brains were handed out?" He flinched upon hearing Sally's voice, skidding to a stop in confusion. It sounded like her voice was echoing, and he looked up ahead to see where her voice was coming from.
"Huh, Sal?" He saw that she was across a bridge that was on the dark side, and a Swat-Bot approached her from behind.
"Ahh!" She screamed as it grabbed her and put her into a machine. Robotnik made his presence known out of nowhere, rubbing his hands together. Sonic blinked and then narrowed his eyes in determination.
"Hang in, Sal! Here comes the hedgehog!" He sped across the field, thunder striking from the sky as the dark clouds loomed over him and the lighter side of the field. It started to rain over him.
"Ah man! Augh!" He started to move slower and slower, until he eventually just stopped. He looked down to see that his feet were stuck in Mega Muck. "Mega Muck!" He struggled to pull himself out, and he landed on his butt. "This is starting to tick me off! Auuugh!" He tried once more to get free, only to have the same result. "I'm coming, Sal!"
He growled as he tried again and eventually broke free, landing in front of the bridge. He slowly got up, and eventually fell down due to the hard landing. He then got back up, revving up his feet.
"SONIC! WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE BRAINS WERE HANDED OUT?" Sally screamed as he ran across the bridge, but some of the planks fell loose and eventually the bridge gave out, and he screamed as he fell towards the pit.
"Aaaaaaaaaaah!"
The Swat-bot moved away to reveal that Sally was actually a robot, and Sonic continued to fall.
However, that was all just a dream as he sat up in alarm, panting heavily. Thunder struck from outside and he rubbed his head, freaked out by what he just went through in the dream. "Man, I gotta stop eating my own cookin'."
Meanwhile, Sophia was in a foggy forest, stepping around carefully. She looked around, wondering where she was and how she got there. She stepped on a branch and it broke, a howl from a wolf alarming her. "This is really creepy..." She murmured to herself. "Hello? Anyone out there, can you hear me?"
An owl hooted in response as she looked around. "Hello?!"
"Aah!"
She whipped around as she heard her mother, running through the forest. She pushed past some bushes and emerged onto a cliff, gasping. She saw her own space ship being taken away by a laughing Robotnik.
"Mom! Dad!" She ran up to the cliff as they held out their hands. However, she failed to reach them in time as she stopped at the edge of the cliff. She tried to open her wings, but it was impossible as they were stuck together. "NO!" She shouted as she could only watch, and then the rock came apart underneath her, causing her to fall and she screamed.
"Sophia!" They both cried out to her.
Sophia sat up in bed, panting heavily. "I need to stop eating Sonic's cooking..." She stepped out of bed to go talk to Rotor.
Once it was morning, Sonic stopped by Rotor's place. "Yo Rote, what's up?" He asked casually.
"Same ol', same ol', Sonic. How 'bout you?" He replied back as the hedgehog took a seat across from him.
"I had a WILD dream this morning. You know anything about dreams?" Sonic answered in concern.
"Not much..." He answered while looking at a paper. "Sally told me once that they're usually about some kind of personal fear. Come to think of it, you're not the only one who's asked me about dreams today. You just missed Soph, seems like she's been having wild dreams too."
"Hmm..." He tapped his chin, as both him and Sophia were having...weird dreams. He wondered if that meant something...
"Guys-guys," Sally ran up to the duo. "Nicole just intercepted one of Robotnik's transmissions!" She took out Nicole from her boot, placing her in the middle of the table.
"I know it's not good news..." Sonic narrowed his eyes, fists clenched.
"No, it's terrible news! Listen to this!" Sally pressed a button. "Nicole, replay intercepted transmission."
"Replaying, Sally." Then Robotnik's voice was heard. "Attention, Swat-bot unit 1, prepare chemical payload for cloud seeding. Rendezvous with cloud burster on Island of Nimbus, precisely 1200 hours. Coordinates to follow."
"That's all of it," Sally said after a few seconds.
"He's gonna seed clouds with chemicals?" Rotor asked with wide eyes.
She nodded in confirmation, a look of worry on her face. "Toxic rain." It was definitely different from his other attempts...
"What's a little more toxic rain?" Sonic wondered sarcastically, walking up to the bridge and gesturing to the sky. "All of Mobius is fuming with the stuff!"
"I bet it's another one of Robotnik's crummy traps," Rotor remarked, a little annoyed.
"You're probably right, Rotor. But we don't know for sure. If that island is inhabited, we need to warn people!" She walked up to the two. Trap or not, she definitely didn't want innocent lives at risk from Robotnik's plan.
"Well, that's no prob. But what about dustin' Buttnik's acid rain?"
"I have the old plan..." Sally smiled, pointing to her temple.
Antoine, Sally, Bunnie, Sonic, Sophia, and Rotor were heading to Rotor's workshop. The walrus stood in front of his door, watching as the others were catching up to him.
"Stand back, guys!" He held out a hand to his friends. "This could be ugly..."
"What do you mean?" Sophia raised a brow in confusion and he opened the door to reveal a bunch of junk inside...which then fell over him. "Oh!" She covered her mouth with her hands in realization. She had never seen that much stuff from one shed before.
"Oh my stars! And I thought my closet was a mess..." Bunnie remarked at this. Rotor emerged from the pile, looking through it. Sonic placed his hands on his hips while they just watched, tapping his foot against the grass.
"Yo Rote! We're waiting!"
Sophia just rolled her eyes, kicking away a stray can that was flying near her. "What he means is what exactly are we looking for here?"
"Oh, I know they're in here someplace...ah-ha! Here's one!" He held up a component for a Swat-bot, which made Antoine nervous.
"Uhh, how many Swat-bot suits are you having, Rotor?" Antoine pointed at the part, his teeth shaking a bit.
"Three. One for Sally. One for Bunnie, and one for you," He tossed two components, one to Sally and one to a frightened Antoine. He tossed it away, shaking. Sally placed the head part over her own, turning to Sonic.
"Well, do I look like a Swat-bot?" She wondered and then Tails arrived. He gasped and looked around in alarm.
"Help! Swat-bot! I'm juicin'!" He quickly sped out of there just like Sonic would.
"Does that answer it clearly for you?" Sophia chuckled a bit.
"Naaw! Not even close, Sal," Sonic shook his head.
A large blimp was being escorted across a field, a Swat-bot peeking over the edge. However, it was just Bunnie as she slightly adjusted her head.
"Stars alive! Would you look at the size of that ugly ol' thing?" She pointed downwards, her voice sounding a bit robotic thanks to the voice adjuster that Rotor implemented.
"That must be the cloud burster!" Sally said in realization, Antoine twitching inside his disguise nervously. And they knew by the noises that it was coming from him. Bunnie and Sally turned to him, seeing the shaking robot legs, which was another indicator of how nervous he was.
"Just relax, Antoine," Bunnie bent down and held his legs.
"Uh...oui oui. I am chillin'," He shrugged although he was definitely not relaxed at all on the inside.
"Ready, Bunnie?" Sally wondered as her friend approached from behind.
"Always ready, sugar."
"Do it!" The chipmunk-disguised robot told her.
Bunnie held out a small device in her hand and pressed a button. It beeped and she threw it towards the blimp, and it turned out to be a smoke bomb.
"Swat-bot team 1, see what that smoke is about!" Snively ordered in annoyance as he was inside the blimp.
Four Swat-bots stepped out to go investigate the smoke, which was actually supposed to be a distraction.
"They're in the smoke, let's go!"
They walked over to the blimp and Antoine helped up Bunnie onto a platform, holding out his hand to Sally down below. "Uggh! Come on, Sally! That's right, pull up!"
Sally pulled on a latch that was connected to a door, but it was as if she was pulling weights. "Allow me, sugar!" Bunnie walked over and grabbed the latch, pulling at the door, and it finally budged after a few more tries.
"Mon cherie, Swat-bots, they are coming!" Antoine warned her and they peeked around the corner to see that the Swat-bots were coming back.
"You guys guard the door, it won't take me long," Sally crawled inside the control room, the door closing behind her. Once she got to the controls, she took off the helmet and put it down. She then took out Nicole, connecting her by wire to the control panel.
"Nicole, access cloud burster security code."
A bunch of numbers flashed on the screen in front of her as Nicole was trying to find the right code. "Attempting access, Sally." Sally glanced to the monitor screen to see that one of the Swat-bots was approaching the door. She stared as Nicole still hadn't found it.
"Come on, Nicole..." She urged pleadingly so that she didn't get caught.
"Swat-bot coming...eep!" Antoine pointed forward, shaking.
"Just keep your cute lil' ol' knees quiet, Antoine, and we'll be fine!" Bunnie nudged him a little to get him to stop. If the Swat-bots noticed the shaking, their cover would be blown for sure.
"Return to station," The Swat-bot ordered them and they glanced to each other, walking off. Everything seemed to be fine...until Antoine tripped, his helmet falling off to reveal his face. He gasped in horror, glancing back at the Swat-bot pointing a weapon at him.
"Halt! Intruder!"
Bunnie was about to karate chop him when a weapon was pointed at her from behind from another Swat-bot.
"Don't move!"
She then held up her hands in surrender since if she didn't, they'd be outnumbered. "I sure do hate when this happens..." She muttered in dismay, with Sally having seen the whole encounter from the screen.
"Oh no!" She exclaimed in worry.
"First digit in place, Sally..." She gave a nervous look as it wouldn't be too long before someone walked in and saw her. "Second digit, Sally."
She looked outside, seeing that the Swat-bots were closing in on her location. "Hurry, Nicole!" She bent down to put on her helmet, but it was already too late as a Swat-bot was pointing a gun at her and she held up her hands.
A Swat-bot walked in to report to Snively, who was looking down at a paper. "Intruders, sir!"
"Intruders?" He gave a small smirk, and the three were brought in to face him, their hands behind their backs. "Well, well...wolves in swat-bot clothing. Doctor Robotnik will be very pleased..." They said nothing while Antoine was quivering.
Sonic and Sophia came across a civilization behind a rock, both of them wearing their backpacks. Sonic looked at the map he was given. "That's gotta be ol' Nimbus Island!"
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Sophia flew above his head, holding out her hands. He jumped up and grabbed them so that she could fly him over safely. Once they landed on the ground, they raced across the town, going through tunnels before Sonic tripped on the sand.
"Whoa!" He fell flat on his face, Sophia giggling at him.
"I thought the fastest thing alive could land on his feet," She teased him and he looked up.
"He can, but not all the time," He remarked and she bent down, holding out her hand. The hedgehog took it and Sophia helped him up. They looked around and then went to the right, coming to a stop as they hadn't come across anyone yet. "Yo! Anybody home?" They were standing near what looked like a factory and they stepped inside the building. Sonic opened the doors to the control center, and saw some rats lurking around. "Anyone here besides you rats? Guess not. We're outta here."
They sped out of there, going through the tunnel.
They came back to the deserted field, stopping at the edge. "Sal! Ant! Where are you guys? Better check out that convoy."
"I don't like this..." Sophia glanced away and they raced off. They eventually came across one of the helmets that their friends had.
"Wha?" He looked inside it, looking at his friend. "This was Antoine's."
"How can you tell?" Sophia raised a brow in confusion.
"Because this thing's got sweat to last for days," Sonic explained and she frowned.
"Oh no...Sonic, we've gotta find them," She clenched her fists in determination.
While the Swat-bots were loading the chemicals into the cloud burster, Antonie, Sally, and Bunnie were tied up and out of their disguises. Sally struggled as the Swat-bot stepped away from her restraints.
"What's wrong with your Great Leader?! Is he too chicken to confront us himself?!" She egged on angrily.
"My..." They flinched in horror upon hearing his voice. "Such a challenging tone..." Antoine yelped in fear as Robotnik stepped out of the shadows from a doorway, Cluck on his shoulder. "Hardly appropriate for a princess...not to mention the slander of poor Cluck's species..." Cluck snapped at the trio. "Where is the hedgehog and Princess Sophia?"
"In your dreams, Doctor!" Sally growled up at him, but he leaned back with a small sigh, not seeming to be fazed.
"No matter, Princess. Patience is one of my strong points, heh heh...they'll be along," He smiled evilly down at them, Bunnie and Antoine glancing to each other.
Meanwhile, Sophia and Sonic were speeding through the field, coming to a stop at the edge of a cliff. They watched as the cloud burster was already in place in the sky.
"Uh-oh!"
"Oh, this isn't good..." Sophia frowned at this.
"Re-check all functions. There will be no errors," Robotnik ordered his Swat-bots, who got to work.
"Doctor Robotnik, the guests of honor have arrived..." Snively reported with a sneaky smile as his screen showed the duo speeding across the dirt.
"Excellent, let the party begin!"
The two skidded to a stop as they looked around. "Whoa!" Sonic looked up ahead and Sophia gasped as she saw the sight. "Huh?!" Across their spot were two Swat-bots holding Antoine, Sally, and Bunnie. "Hang tough, guys! We're there in a Sonic-second!" He sped over to their location, Sophia giving a blank look.
"Did he forget that I can just fly him over?" She asks herself as she takes flight, heading over to the group. Sonic ran over to the structure where the tunnels were. He ran up the wall and landed on a platform. He then went through a tunnel through a crack.
"Welcome hedgehog and your highness. You're right on time...get ready, Snively."
Sonic was going through the tunnel and Snively eagerly held out a finger to a button, Robotnik standing behind him.
"Patience, Snively...patience...NOW!" Snively pressed the red button.
An explosion occurred right behind Sonic, alarming him. "Whoa!" He glanced back to see a large blue light heading towards him. Sophia had also heard the explosion and she looked back at the tunnel while flapping her wings.
"Oh no!" She went over by flight to help him.
Sonic gasped sharply at the danger behind him. "Better hit the ol' burners!" He picked up speed and eventually got out of the tunnel, jumping around to avoid the fireball. It zipped past Sophia and she glanced back in shock. "Time to douse this lame ol' fire!" He skidded to a stop and went to his left, the fireball still after him. He landed in front of a lake and then jumped inside, the fireball going inside and putting itself out. Sophia gasped as she came to a stop near the smoke, looking down at the water.
"Sonic?"
He jumped out of the water perfectly fine, but then the ground started to shake. "Waaaah!"
"What's going on?!" Sophia shouted and they looked up ahead to see the tunnels falling out of place, meaning Sonic could no longer use them. The blimp locked in on their location.
"Now I have you!"
"Aaaah!" Sonic yelped as he looked up at it, Sophia clenching her fists.
"Look around!" They did so, seeing that they were surrounded by Swat-bots approaching them with their guns ready. "I hoped the great hedgehog and alien princess would be more of a challenge..." He then put the microphone to his mouth. "You both disappoint me."
"It ain't over till the fat-bot sings, Robuttnik!" Sonic smirked as he waved the robots forward, and they stepped towards him as he backed away. Sophia smiled in realization, flying above him and waving her hands. He then pretended to tilt towards the water. "Wooooah man! Mondo problemo! I'm stuck!" His foot was stuck in Mega Muck, just like in his nightmare.
"Sonic, oh no!" Sophia placed a hand on her forehead in fake dismay, trying not to laugh. He looked up and then smirked at his friend. Sophia saluted and used her laser eyes to get him free from the mud, and he lifted his foot.
"Sorry, bolt-brains! Gotta juice!" He leapt forward and jumped on their backs, knocking half of them off the cliff and into the water. Sophia dodged the lasers coming for her in the air, flying behind them. She used her laser eyes to hit the ground, and the rocks broke off, leading the robots to slid into the water. She floated towards the rock ground as Sonic approached her from behind, and she landed as they watched the robots sink.
"Oh, forgot to tell ya: watch that first step," Sonic remarked in a cheeky way, the two high-fiving each other. "Adios!"
"So long!" Sophia snickered as they took off.
They came across their friends who were in a robotic prison, with lasers acting as the bars. They gave looks of relief to see their friends as the two ran up to the trio. "Chill guys, we'll bust you outta there..." He reached out his hands to the bars.
"Sonic, Soph, don't touch the bars!" Sally warned them.
"Why not?" He recoiled back with wide eyes.
"Because they'll repel you!" She explained, the two glancing at each other. If they couldn't touch the bars, how were they going to free them?
"To say nothin' of knockin' y'all on your little ol' sugar hog behind," Bunnie added in.
"Besides, we're not the important thing right now!"
"You're not?" Sonic asked in confusion.
"What do you mean? You're our friends, we're not just gonna leave you here," Sophia frowned at them.
"You know, I'm thinking not to disagree with you, my prinzess Sally, but-"
"Antoine," Sally interrupted him. "If we don't stop Robotnik, we'll all be swimming in real acid rain!" He gasped in alarm and she pointed past the two. "Look for yourself." They turned around and looked up to the sky to see the cloud burster getting away.
"Gotta be a way to take out that sucker!" Sonic shook his head, clenching a fist.
"Cloud Burster in position, sir," Snively smiled inside the blimp, pointing to the radar in front of him.
"Prepare to commence seeding, heh heh..." He chuckled evilly and Snively reached out his hand to a switch. The blimp meanwhile got farther and farther away from them.
"That blimpo's gonna chunk."
"Sacre bleu! What can we be doing?" Antoine questioned in a panic.
"Good question, Ant..." Sonic looked to Sophia, and they both looked between both the blimp and their friends several times. They were conflicted on what to do, do they stop the blimp and leave them behind or save their friends first? "Aah!" He yelped as he was stuck, sweating...and then he began to have his nightmare again.
"Sonic, we have to do something!" Sally's voice cried out while he was running in the dream.
"Hey!" He exclaimed as he looked to the side and once again saw Sally being kidnapped. Robotnik stepped out of nowhere and he gasped. The villain reached out a hand to a lever and then pulled it, starting to roboticize Sally! He then screamed again, not realizing that the others were trying to get his attention.
"Sonic?" Sophia snapped her fingers in front of his face, but he did not respond.
"What the hey is eatin' that hunky lil' hedgehog? He looks like he's seen a ghost," Bunnie said in concern as they stared at him.
"He seems to be daydreaming...we have to snap him out of it, or we're all done for!" Sally looked up at the cloud burster, which was preparing itself to release the chemicals. Sophia was about to fly up there when she heard a voice.
"Darling!"
She turned to the side and saw her parents, stepping back a bit in shock. "Mother? Father?" She murmured to herself. She stepped forward and then they were suddenly trapped in their ship, being dragged away from her by Robotnik. "Huh?!" She exclaimed in shock. "NO!" She could only stare, holding out a hand as they got further away from their daughter.
"Sonic! Sonic, you uncivilized pincushion! Wake up! WAKE UP!" Antoine yelled at him, but he was frozen right there on the spot. He kneeled in front of the cage, Sophia just staring to the side, unable to react either.
"Sonic, it's Sally! Can you hear me?! Sonic? Sonic?!" Once again, he didn't hear Sally talking to him. Bunnie looked at the pink-haired girl, who was also frozen and wasn't responding to anything.
"Soph doesn't look too good, either. Sugar? Sugar?!" Bunnie shook the girl's arm.
"Come on, Sonic!"
Sonic in the dream was trying to break himself free from the Mega Muck.
"Sonic, where were you when the brains-"
"Sonic, Soph, we need your help!" He was hearing two conflicting voices in his head, trying to make sense of it all. Sophia meanwhile was trying to reach out to her parents, but she couldn't reach them.
"Sonic..."
"Can you hear me?! Sonic?!" He looked around, trying to deduce what voice to follow, and Dream Sally turned into a robot entirely, letting out a scream. He reached out a hand, but wasn't able to move.
"Sonic...where were you when the brains were handed out...brains...brains...brains..." He screamed again and finally snapped out of it, looking back at the trio. Sally had a concerned look in her eyes for her friends.
"Soph, Sonic, hurry! He's gonna release the acid rain storm!" Sally urged them, pointing up ahead.
"Gotta use our brains..." Sonic scratched the top of his head, Sophia rubbing her chin.
"Hurry, you guys!" Sally stated in desperation as the chemicals were already being released from the cloud burster. Sonic and Sophia both stepped forward and stopped to look at it, trying to form a plan.
"Man, if there was some way to use those wells, we could make it rain on old Buttnik's parade!"
"How?" Sally asked curiously and he beamed, snapping his fingers.
"Sal, Soph, got a past cool idea!" He leaned in and told Sophia the plan, whispering in her ear.
"Uh huh, uh huh..." She nodded as she listened and when he finished, she recoiled back to stare at him. "You think that'll really work?" She asked skeptically and he nodded, hands on his hips.
"Trust me."
"Do I have a choice?" Sophia raised a brow in amusement.
"Gotta juice!" The two left their friends there, coming to a stop and looking up to the sky. The cloud burster was passing over their heads and Sonic put his hands to his cheeks. "Yo! Robuttnik!" Robotnik looked to his screen to see the two. "Got a little surprise..."
"I don't like surprises, hedgehog. Especially from you!"
"But this one will be a kick...promise," Sonic smirked, waving a finger. He spin dashed into the air, his body acting as a drill as he went deep into the ground. The other three and Sophia duck for cover as rocks flew over to them.
"Ugh! What is that foolish hedgehog doing?!" Antoine yelled over the chaos. Meanwhile, while he was doing that, Robotnik watched him, confused. Sophia flew into the air, looking down at Sonic.
"What is that miserable rodent up to, Snively?!"
"I don't know, sir," Snively shook his head, also a little confused. Sonic went deeper and deeper, stopping for a moment before he continued digging. He eventually reached a pipe system of sorts, looking at the gears. He jumped on one and used his speed on it.
"Time for some major hedgehog power!"
Sophia smirked as she looked up at a tilting object above her head, Robotnik looking at the cage. "Well, it appears that your foolish war against me is finally lost, Princess," His face dropped as he heard the noise coming from outside. "Snively, what is that?!"
"I suppose it's the hedgehog and Princess Sophia, sir," He glanced over his shoulder, Robotnik tapping his fingers against his chair.
"I don't like that sound...change our course!"
Everything started shaking and something exploded from a sewer line. Sewer water burst out and hit the blimp, knocking it around a little. Sophia looked up and used her laser eyes on the blimp, creating a hole for the sewer water to seep through.
"Snively, get us out of here NOW!" Robotnik shouted in anger.
"That lil'o sugar hog and sugar girl did it, Sally! He knocked Robotnik for a real loop! Woo-wee!" Bunnie cheered, pumping a fist. Sally didn't respond to her, instead looking towards the ground wondering what happened to the hedgehog.
"Where are you, Sonic?"
The ground shook and Sonic rose out of the ground, landing in front of the two. Sophia flew down and landed next to him, sniffing him and recoiling back as he had sewer water over him. "Ew!"
"Soph! Sonic! Are you alright?"
Sonic let out a small sigh, smiling. "Nothing a serious shake and snake can't fix!" He shook himself dry, the others covering themselves. He looked up and saw the blimp flying out of control. "Check it out!"
Robotnik and Snively looked down at the water that was rising. "Let's get out of here!" The two headed for the door, and they stepped out once it opened. They headed for their escape ship and entered, both of them sitting together.
"Hurry, Snively! We are going to crash!" He shouted as Snively was trying to work the controls. The blimp swooped down and headed for the ground. "Activate stealth system!" Snively pressed a stealth button and that turned their entire ship invisible. "Launch." The doors opened in front of them and Sally gasped. The blimp crashed into the ground, resulting in a fiery explosion.
"I do believe Robotnik has finally bought the farm."
"He has a farm?" Antoine asked in confusion, not getting the phrase.
"Clever move, hedgehog and Princess Sophia. But the final move is mine," Robotnik growled out, about to fire a missile at the group when beeping and Snively both stopped him.
"Doctor Robotnik, we've sustained major damage to the main circuitry!"
"Then get it under control," Robotnik growled at him.
"Sir, we must return to Robotropolis immediately or risk crashing!"
His boss doesn't listen and reached out to the missile launcher button. This was the chance he had to get rid of his enemies once and for all, he couldn't just pass it up. After a few seconds, he pressed the button with an evil grin on his face. "Goodbye...hedgehog and your royal highness..." However, nothing happened, and he pressed the button several times. "Why won't the missile launch?" He asked in irritation.
"Circuit grids are severely damaged, sir! We must turn back before we lose all power!" Snively reported, meaning that the missile couldn't be launched. He shouted in anger, slamming his hands on the control panel.
Sonic and Sophia arrived back to their friends after checking out the explosion. "Any sign of Robotnik?" Sally wondered and he shook his head no.
"Nope. He's toast! Now how do we get you guys outta that chicken coop?" Sonic wondered, Sophia looking up at it.
"Well, we could-"
The ground started to shake again, alarming all of them. "Sacre bleu! Now what iz happening?" Antoine asked and the shaking stopped a few seconds later.
"Felt like a quake!"
"Sonic, Soph, the river!" Sally told them and they turned around to see the water level rising, Sophia gasping sharply.
"Oh my stars!" Bunnie placed her hands on her cheeks in worry. "It's overflowing!" The buildings started to shake as well, Sally looking around.
"That's not all! The island is sinking!"
"We gotta get you out of there!" Sophia clenched her fists.
"Sal," Sonic pulled out a power ring from his backpack. "Press the power ring against the bars! Maybe it'll drain the juice! And Soph, you could use a ring to speed up the process!" He held out the ring to Sally.
"I don't know, Sonic! That's a lot of energy!" Sally stammered nervously.
"She's right, we don't know what that'll do!" Sophia told the blue hedgehog, agreeing with the chipmunk.
"Hey, you're always telling me I need a plan! Yo, this is a plan!" He pointed to the ring while the buildings were still shaking. They looked around as one of them fell over, landing in the river. Sonic gave the ring to Sally. "No time to argue. Do it!"
"Let us be doing something! I cannot swim!" Antoine cried out in a panic. Sophia looked to Sally and sighed, taking off one of her rings.
"Okay...keep your fingers crossed!" Sally took a deep breath. Bunnie looked at her hands but crossed them anyway. Antoine did the same as she pressed the ring to the bars, causing it to spark and glow. Sophia's ring reacted in the same way, Sonic bracing himself.
"Hold on, Sal! Hold on!" He called out as she grunted, her hair becoming a mess. "I can't!" Bunnie and Antoine ran over while Sonic held Sophia by her shoulders, as her ring was dragging her over to the cage due to the other one's power.
"We'll help you, princess!" Suddenly, everything stopped and they stared for a few seconds before the bars slowly went away. "Voila! It worked!" The cage disappeared as well as Sally approached Sonic.
"Oh, Sonic!" She hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. "That was a great plan!"
"Hey, I just figured that-"
"I hate to be an ol' party-pooper, but I got this here sinking feeling..." Bunnie pointed up ahead and they flinched as they suddenly remembered the water sinking the island.
"Oh my gosh!" Sally exclaimed in alarm.
"Sacre bleu!"
"We've gotta get out of here, right now!" Sophia urged all of them.
"Sal, hold on to me," Sonic took the ring from Sally. Bunnie, hold onto Soph. Ant, grab Bunnie and Soph." Sally hugged his back while Bunnie held Sophia's shoulders, Antoine holding onto Sophia's hand. "We're gonna do some major juicin'!" He jumped up and sped up his feet, the ring glowing. Sophia's rings glowed and they both took off at high speeds. Once they got across the bridge, it broke into pieces.
"I tell you, I cannot swim!" Antoine shouted at the top of his lungs. Another tower crashed into another, and then that one fell into another one, causing a huge crash. Antoine glanced behind him, yelping as a building was heading straight for them. He screamed, but they managed to make it to land just in time. They came to a stop, looking back as the island sank and then was destroyed.
"You think ol' Buttnik's really history, Sal?" Sonic crossed his arms with a small smirk.
"I wish I knew, Sonic. I wish I knew..." She stated with uncertainty.
Back in Knothole, Sonic and Sally were leaning against each other back to back near a tree. She had her hands on her cheeks as he had just told her what happened when he was out of it earlier. "You know, I'm no expert, Sonic, but my guess is that your bad dream was some kind of warning. So, from now on, you'll think before you act, right...?" She blinked as she got no answer, glancing behind her. "Uh...Sonic?"
His eyes were closed, his hands folded. "Oooh, you're the most mondo, beautiful thing I have ever seen..." She blushed and he hugged himself. "You make my heart pound...my mouth water...yeeees...there's nothing like a chili dog."
Her smile dropped and she gave an annoyed look.
"Oh brother."
"Of course..." Sophia muttered as she was sitting in the tree near them, shaking her head.
"But I guess you had that dream because you miss your parents and you're homesick, Soph," Sally looked up at her and she blinked in confusion.
"Homesick?"
"You miss your parents and home," Sally elaborated and Sophia's eyes softened sadly. She wished she could see them again... "Don't worry, Soph. You've got us in the meantime."
Sophia smiled at her softly. "Thanks, Sal."
Angel: Okay, so…next semester I have less classes than usual because I took four classes at a time almost always. And because of next semester having less than that, I now have more free time for a movie! Wasn't expecting to write one in January…I had a hard time choosing, but I decided to go with writing Encanto! Mostly because it's the most recent one and other movies I haven't fully gotten a concept for yet. There is Vivo, but the songs there are much harder to write than with Encanto, still gonna do it in the future though. And I debated on picking the Road to El Dorado first, but I haven't rewatched it in a hot minute, and I've been busy, so I have not had time to watch it again.
So yeah! That's all I have to say and Encanto is gonna come out in a few weeks, so see you next week!
