Angel: I'm late again, but it's a 22-minute show and I work 5 days a week…that's not an excuse, but if I'm late, just assume that I'm tired from work or doing something else that's keeping from doing this consistently.
In Knothole, Sally, Sonic, and Sophia were testing out something for their friend Bunnie.
"Ready, Bunnie?" Sally asked the half robot half rabbit.
"Ready as a junebug in May, darlin'," She responded and then a sound was heard. "Whoa, Nellie!" Bunnie suddenly burst out of the hut's roof, looking down in shock. The trio rushed out the door, looking up at her.
"Bunnie, are you okay?" Sally called out.
"How do I look?" She asked in response, a little saddened.
Sonic chuckled a bit, hands on his hips. "Stuck in the ol' roof." Sophia elbowed him a bit.
"That's just how I feel," She sighed at this. "Soph darlin', is this how it is when you're flying?"
"Ah, to be fair, I never got stuck in a roof...well, unless you count the one time I got stuck in some curtains when I was first learning how to fly," Sophia answered her.
"Hang tight, Bunnie," Sonic revved up his feet while Sophia's wings appeared. The two used their own methods to reach their friend. Before either of them could do anything, Bunnie suddenly disappeared from the roof.
"Whoa!" She cried out in surprise, Sonic and Sophia looking down the hole she left behind.
"Was it something I said?" He wondered as her robot legs had extended, which was what caused her to land in the roof in the first place.
"These leg ladders will come in mighty handy next time I have to fix the elevator," She remarked as Rotor was tuning up her robotic legs with a wrench.
"If we can even get them to work right," Sally mumbled as she stared at her.
"Power switch needs a little tweakin'," He informed them and Bunnie was suddenly thrusted up and down.
"Oh my stars; that's not all that needs tweakin'," She muttered before she went through the roof again with a scream. Sonic grabbed her arms while Sophia steadied her.
"Gotcha, Bunnie."
"You okay?" Sophia asked in concern.
"Thanks, sugarhog. And I'm alright, Soph," She sighed in relief. Suddenly a puck landed in front of the hut that the others were in, and it was being flung around by Tails. He smiled as he hit it again, and it propelled off a tree.
"Bunnie! Look out!" Tails called out in warning and Bunnie caught the puck before she could get hurt.
"Be careful where y'all are slap shootin' there, Tails," She warned him, throwing the puck back to him.
"Sorry, Bunnie," He responded while catching it.
"Hang on, Bunnie, I'm bringing you down," Rotor called out as he fixed a bolt, pressing a button to lower Bunnie back to her normal height.
"How do they feel now?" Sally asked with a smile.
"Smooth as glass. Thanks, Rotor, you little genius," Bunnie responded thankfully, Rotor smiling happily that they work. Sonic and Sophia watched Tails shoot the puck and it flew right past them.
"Sonic! Soph! You guys wanna play dirt hockey? I've been practicin'," He smiled up at them.
"Yeah, you really smoked that puck, big guy," Sonic smiled back.
"Though this time, watch where you aim," Sophia giggled a bit. "Dirt hockey reminds me of the sport that my planet had. We'd take a-"
"Uh, oh; here we go again!" Bunnie cried out from inside the hut, signaling that something else was going on.
"Uh...sorry, Tails. Maybe later," Sonic walked off with a wave.
"Coming, bunnie!" Sophia jumped off the hut and Tails sagged his shoulders.
"They're always too busy," He lamented at this. Because he was the only kid in Knothole that wasn't roboticized, he didn't have friends his age to play with. "I'm gonna find my own fun," He grumbled as he walked off. He went up an elevator that lead into the forest, looking around with a smile. He started searching for a good place to start. "Who needs dumb old adults anyway?" He threw up the puck and then hit it. It landed in a bush and he ran over to get it. He moved past the greenery while searching...and heard chomping.
"What's that?" He murmured as he saw a terapod chewing on the hockey puck.
"Hey," The creature blinked in surprise to hear Tails' voice. "You're not supposed to eat it. You're supposed to play dirt hockey with it," The terapod just blinked as he didn't speak English unlike Tails. "You don't understand, do ya? It's a hockey puck. You're supposed to hit it with...a hockey stick," He held up the hockey stick, picking up a rock and smacking it with the hockey stick. "Get it?"
The creature roared, smacking the hockey puck with his trunk. Tails chuckled and intercepted it. "Cool!" He hit it back, the terapod this time using his tail. Tails laughed at the fun they were having firing it back and forth. "Alright!"
After playing, they were laying down in the sand together. Tails suddenly let out a hiccup.
"Excuse me. Guess I'm kinda hungry."
"Huh?" The terapod responded in confusion.
"You know. Eat. Food," Tails brought his fingers together to mimic chewing, letting out a burp. "Are you hungry?"
The terapod let out a burp of his own.
"Ha ha! Good one!"
They went down the elevator that Tails used to get up there, landing at the bottom. Tails glanced around as he opened the door. "Okay. Coast is clear," He glanced back at Baby T, putting a finger to his lips. "Shh...we gotta be real quiet."
"Shh..." The terapod copied him and they slowly walked forward. They ended up in a kitchen and Tails crawled up the stool.
"I'll make us a snack," He put down an apple and then some grapes, the terapod licking his lips. "All right! Here's some cookies," He grabbed the cookie jar, looking for some more things when munching was heard, the jar completely empty aside from a few crumbs.
"Hey! You ate it all!" Tails protested at this, sagging his shoulders. The terapod roared a bit, the fox crossing his arms. The terapod burped in his face.
"No, Baby T," Tails scolded him. "Not supposed to eat everything." Baby T got a sad look in his eyes and cooed as he ran off.
"Aww..."
"Baby T, wait!" Tails jumped off from the stool, following after him. "Where ya goin'?" He reached outside, but couldn't find the terapod. "Baby T!"
"Boy, these ladder legs are great, Rotor," Bunnie called out while picking apples, Rotor struggling to catch them.
"That's easy for you to say," He grunted, Sonic laying nearby the tree. Sophia was catching apples from the sky while juggling them.
"Hey, you're a great juggler, Soph," Sonic sped around and gathered all the fallen apples, tossing them into Rotor and Sally's baskets, smiling.
"Sonic, Soph, I have a problem," Tails ran up to them, Sophia catching 8 juggling apples and walking up to Sonic.
"Big or little?"
"Big!" Tails emphasized to them and he brought them over to Baby T munching on some greens.
"My stars; what in the heck is that?" Bunnie asked in shock as they stared with wide eyes.
"It's a baby terapod," Sally smiled as she patted his trunk. "How did he get down here?"
Sonic and Sophia walked over, and he licked Sonic's cheek. Then he nuzzled Sophia's cheek. "Aww!" She cooed while accepting his affection, giggling, and Sally chuckled at them.
"Aw, he is really cute, but we can't keep him."
"How come? He's my friend," Tails hugged Baby T's head.
"Because his herd is migrating to Boulder Bay right now and he has to go with them. Where's your mother, little guy?" She stepped forward and he sat up, letting out a roar. Bunnie used her ladder legs to reach his height.
"Oh. Good luck trying to figure that out."
"Can you figure out what he's saying, Soph?" Rotor turned to her. "You did it before with us."
"I can only translate speech with my mind with people like you, not real animals...Sorry," She shrugged at him.
"Wait a second," Sally said in thought, looking to Tails. "I built a device years ago when I tried communicating with terapods, but never tested it. Maybe now..." A roar was heard and they looked to the side in alarm.
"What's that, Sonic?" Tails asked curiously.
"Sounds like Baby T's family," Sonic said a little nervously. Baby T roared while standing up again. He kept roaring as they used the elevator, the ground shaking as multiple terapods were running away.
"I think he found his mom," Sally shouted over the commotion, Baby T running off in the mist of all the craziness.
"Baby T, wait!" Tails chased after him and tripped. He looked at the terapods coming his way, glancing backwards. "Sonic!" He braced himself, closing his eyes.
"Comin' big guy!" Sonic sped right over to Tails, saving him. They went all the way up a tree, looking down as the herd moved past. "You okay?"
"Nuh-uh," Tails wiped at his eyes, looking up at him. "Baby T was my friend."
"He wouldn't like livin' with us, big guy. He'd miss his mom," Sonic wrapped an arm around him, feeling sympathetic for Tails.
"I miss my mom too," A tear fell down his face.
"Oh my gosh!" Sally exclaimed as the others watched. "They're going the wrong way!"
Sonic jumped from the tree with Tails in his arms. "The wrong way?" He asked while putting the fox down.
"Yes. They always migrate south through the Great Meadow and into Boulder Bay. Something's really wrong," Sally explained to them in concern, wondering why they were going in another direction.
"I'll head 'em off at the ol' pass."
"I'll come too, maybe they'll listen if there's two of us," Sophia suggested and he nodded in agreement. He sped off and she followed suit. They found the terapods in no time, going all the way in front of them. However, they showed no signs of stopping. Sonic pointed to his left.
"Hang a left, hang a left, hang a left...keep movin', keep movin'," They ran into a dead end, some of them a bit upset.
"Okay, I know you're supposed to juice but you're juicin' the wrong way!" Sonic informed them, Baby T nuzzling his mother affectionately. The others joined them, Sally walking up with a red collar in her hand.
"Easy girl. Easy now," She assured, placing the collar over Baby T's mother.
"That communication device works, it'd be past cool, Sal," Sonic commented as he watched.
"And it'd make things way more easier on our part..." Sophia murmured while rubbing her neck.
"The terapods are the only ones that can tell us why they're going the wrong way," Sally pulled out Nicole. "Start language link search, Nicole."
"Language link search in progress, Sally," Nicole reported while flashing white during her search. Rotor joined Sally's side.
"You really think they can talk?" He wondered to her.
"They're very intelligent. Their sounds have a distinct language pattern," The chipmunk told him with a smile.
"They sure seem freaked. I wonder what's scaring them," Sonic noticed as the group kept constantly watching out for something.
"I have a bad feeling about this," Sophia narrowed her eyes.
She had a reason to worry as Robotnik and Snively were looking at a hologram of a terapod in front of them. "These terapod beasts are the final species to be roboticized, Snively. When they're done, I will control every living thing on this planet," He declared with a wicked smile.
"Except for the Freedom Fighters, Sir," Snively held up a finger.
"I am aware of that, Snively. You don't have to remind me!" Robotnik growled down at him. "Now, what of the terapods?"
Snively was shaking a little as sweat came down his head. "Well, sir, a Stealth Bot spotted the herd, but lost them." He gripped at his collar a few times in fear of what Robotnik would do or say to him.
"Lost...them?" Robotnik asked slowly, glancing at his minion.
"Yes, sir."
"Beasts of burden do not hide, Snively," He glanced at the hologram. "They, not unlike yourself, have no intelligence."
"Well I beg your pardon, sir, but reports say they do," Snively shrugged, basically reconfirming what Sally said.
"I don't care about their brains!" Robotnik shouted in anger. "I want their brawn! Prepare my hovercraft." Snively ran off to do what he was asked.
Meanwhile, through some trees, the terapod herd and the Freedom Fighters were walking when they came to a stop. Baby T's mother roared at the rest of the group, Sally surprised by what the mother was indicating.
"Sonic, they want to go through the Great Jungle."
"No way. It's uncharted," Sonic immediately denied, but that just made the terapods go restless, Baby T's mother roaring loudly.
"Oh! This is making me crazy!" Sally exclaimed as the herd ran past them. "What do they know that we don't?"
"...I know," Sonic pointed up to the sky.
"What?" Sally followed his gaze and in the sky where several of Robotnik's ships heading right for them, which was what caused the stampede from before. "Robotnik," She grumbled knowingly.
"Come on. Juice time," Sonic ordered the others and they ran off.
"Sir, the terapods disappeared into the Great Jungle with the Freedom Fighters," Snively reported as the group disappeared from the screen.
"Oooh, I like that, Snively. Now we can get all of them," Robotnik clenched a fist.
"Yes, sir, but the Great Jungle is still uncharted and we've lost a number of Recon bots in there and well-" Robotnik grasped his sweater, pulling him forward.
"Make sure we lose no more," Robotnik growled, shaking him a bit.
"Yes, sir," Snively nodded nervously, sweating up a storm.
Meanwhile, in the Great Jungle, the terapods were leading the Freedom Fighters deeper and deeper. None of them had any idea where they were going, though...Sally walked up to Momma T.
"Do you know a special way, girl?" She asked curiously, earning a roar in return. They turned around and went in another direction. Tails noticed something up ahead.
"Wow. Look at all those plants," He ran up to some plants with sparkles on them, Baby T roaring in alarm. Before Tails could touch them, Baby T grabbed him by the arm and pulled him away from the plants. "Aah! What's wrong? I just wanted to look."
The others caught up with them, Momma T snuggling her baby.
"Something wrong with these plants, Momma T?" Sonic asked in concern. She simply rolled a rock forward to the plant, and once the rock touched it, it sparked, and then melted.
"Wow! That is one bad plant! It eats rocks!" Sonic pointed forward while Rotor took out a screwdriver from his belt.
"I've gotta check this out," He stepped forward and tossed the screwdriver onto the plant, and it melted the metal on impact. He took the screwdriver and the metal on it crumbled to pieces.
"That is really amazing," Sally looked on in awe.
"We had something similar on my planet, except that the plant would eat our food instead of rocks...dark times," Sophia shook her head.
"Think what we could do to ol' Robuttnik with a couple of these metal-eating babies. We just have to figure out how to get it—" A vine suddenly wrapped around him and dragged him away. "Whoa!" He was left hanging upside down and then the vine turned the hedgehog around and wrapped around his waist. He dropped the hockey stick, which fell into the quicksand.
"What's with the ol' vine?" He demanded while trying to break free, trying to rip the vine off with his teeth.
"Sonic!" Sally exclaimed in worry.
"Get me outta here!" He called out to his friends, the vine starting to lower down towards the quicksand. Sophia flew forward with her wings, but as soon as she did, a vine came in out of nowhere and slapped her back down onto the grass.
"Oof!" She grunted in annoyance, Bunnie and Sally helping her up.
"Oh my stars! What the heck are we gonna do?" Bunnie asked the girls.
"That dead tree...come on!" Sally pointed to a tree that had no branches or leaves. The three girls and Rotor ran over to the dead tree and pushed as hard as they could.
"Come on, push. Push!" He urged them, but the tree wasn't budging, even with Bunnie's super strength.
"This is one stubborn tree!" She grunted while Baby T and Tails looked on.
"Uh-oh. This doesn't look good, Baby T," He commented to his terapod friend, who shook his head.
"Nuh-uh," He shook his head and Tails suddenly got an idea.
"Baby T, get your mom. She can help push the tree. Understand?"
Baby T roared and nodded in understanding and then ran off. Sonic gritted his teeth while wiggling his legs, getting nearer to the quicksand. Baby T and his mother came to a stop in front of the tree. The mother roared to get their attention and they moved out of the way. The vine started to snap from Sonic and Momma T readied herself. She ran forward and knocked the tree down over the quicksand. The vines snapped from Sonic and he revved up his feet with a smile.
"Juice time!"
He headed for the tree, jumping off it as it sunk into the quicksand. He slid to a stop in front of the mother terapod. "Mucho thanks, Momma T. I owe you," He gave her a thumbs up and a kiss on the nose, Sophia giggling. Momma T roared in response.
A shadow loomed over the trees as it was Robotnik's ship.
"The cages are ready, sir," Snively reported to his boss.
"Very good, Snively. Let's get this done," Robotnik turned around to see a large cage with glass sides a few feet away from him.
"Yes, sir," Snively pressed a button and closed the cage.
"I just need one beast for now, Snively. Pick the largest to experiment on," Robotnik turned around in his seat.
"Very good, sir," Snively walked off and Robotnik pressed a button to contact his robots. "Stealth Bots, activate heat seeking radar." The front of their ships glowed red as they searched for the largest terapod from the Great Jungle...
The group were at a small lake for Momma T to have a drink. She suddenly looked up and Sophia flinched as Momma T narrowed her eyes. Whatever she could hear, Sophia could hear it too.
"Man, she can hear all kinds of stuff we can't," Sonic jerked a thumb to Momma T.
"Yes, their senses are highly evolved," Sally explained, pointing to the pink-haired girl. "Their hearing is much like Sophia's super hearing, in fact."
Momma T was trying to warn them of something, but they couldn't make it out unfortunately.
"What's she sayin'?" Sonic wondered curiously, Sally shaking her head.
"I don't know, but something sure has upset her," She stepped forward, adjusting the dial from the collar. "Come on; try again, girl." All she got were roars again and she took out Nicole from her boot. "Come on, Nicole; help me out here." She tapped the buttons from Nicole.
"Trying Delphi language sequence..."
After a few seconds, they could finally make out something from Momma T.
"Daaanger. Daaanger."
"Danger? What kind of danger?" Rotor asked in alarm. Momma T simply looked up and they heard a familiar noise.
"That sounds like Stealth Bots!" Sally looked up at the sky.
"Soph and I will check it out," Sonic walked off, Sophia going after him. They went up a tree, peeking out from the leaves. They both gasped as indeed, the Stealth Bots had found their location. "Momma T is on the money." They went back to the others. "Stealth Bots, looking for trouble."
Sophia suddenly fired her laser eyes back at one laser that was aiming for the group. Another one hit the water and Momma T took Sonic on her trunk, throwing him on her back.
"Whoa! That was bad, Momma T! Okay guys, mount up. The TPs are ready to juice," He pumped a fist, helping up Sally. Rotor jumped on behind her and Momma T took off, Tails and Bunnie riding Baby T. Sophia flew behind them as defense.
The Stealth ship beeped to get a lock on their location again.
"You can run, but you can't hide, my friends," Robotnik growled with an evil grin. Another laser hit the ground nearby.
"Let's juice!" Sonic exclaimed, Sophia turning around while still flying and firing back. However, they still managed to attack them as they got further into the jungle. "Why can't we lose these guys?"
"They're probably using heat scanners," Rotor informed, and then one of the ships put a forcefield in front of them, blocking their path. Momma T tried to break it open, knocking off the others in the process. Sonic's head hit the back of a tree, knocking him unconscious. Rotor helped Sally up while a mirror appeared from the ship to deflect a laser from Sophia, and she jumped back in alarm.
A cage descended down from the sky, capturing Momma T in it. Baby T ran up to his mother, touching the glass before the cage was lifted up. Baby T cried out for his mother as she was being taken away, with Sonic still unconscious...
Tails rushed over to the blue hedgehog.
"Sonic, Sonic! You gotta save Momma T!" He tried pulling him up. Sonic rubbed his head.
"M-Momma T?" He murmured slowly, still a little out of it. Rotor helped him up a bit.
"Robotnik has her in that cage!" He told his friend quickly. Sonic looked up and finally saw what was going on.
"I'll get her in a Sonic second. Hedgehog on the job..." He stood up and sped over, going in a circle before using a log like a ramp. He spun around while Sophia flew up to the cage. He landed on the top of it and Sophia's feet touched the top of the cage.
"Hang in, Momma T!"
Baby T roared in worry for his mother. Tails patted him gently.
"Don't worry, Baby T. Sonic's the coolest, and so is Sophia. They'll save your mom."
Sonic looked up at the rope and opened up the box in front of him.
"What are you waiting for, Snively? Get them!" Robotnik slammed his fists angrily.
"Yes, sir!" Snively exclaimed in a bit of fear, pressing a button. Sonic ripped open the wires, making the cage stop in its tracks. Sonic and Sophia then got fired at by a Swatbot nearby.
"Whoa!" The two were knocked off the top of the cage and then a laser hit Sophia's wing, and she grunted in pain, one of her hands falling.
"Hold on, sugar-hog and sugar-girl!" Bunnie extended her legs and looked up as they pulled themselves to the top.
"Are you all right?" She smiled up at them.
"Yeah. Can you open this thing up?"
"My lasers aren't strong enough for this kind of glass..." Sophia examined it.
"Course I can. No problem." Bunnie took the glass and then slid it to the side, opening up the cage.
"Cool. Now hang tight. We'll be juicin' in reverse," Sonic turned around to work the cage so that it could safely set down Momma T.
"Uh oh," Sophia murmured while gripping her shoulder and Bunnie glanced over her shoulder to see why.
"Make it quick, sugar-hog. We got company," More swat ships arrived to try and take them down. Sonic rapidly finished what he was doing.
"Goin' down."
Sophia held on as the cage started to fall, Bunnie screaming as she lowered herself. She just happened to be right underneath the cage.
"Run for it, Bunnie!" Rotor cried out and she ducked her head, the cage stopping right above her back.
"Oh my. Little help here, Rotor!" She shouted as the lasers continued.
"Coming, Bunnie!" The walrus rushed right over, seeing that one leg was more extended than the other one.
"My leg is stuck again!"
"There you go," He pressed a button to set her free and she smiled. Sonic and Sophia jumped down onto the grass, Momma T doing the same. She went over to her baby and they embraced each other. Sonic looked at Sophia's wing as it had a hole at the top.
"Ooh, that looks bad, Soph. You okay?"
"I'm fine," She waved a hand. "Nothing a few hours of rest can't handle..."
"Should I use another cage, sir?" Snively looked up at his boss.
"Negative..." Robotnik clenched his fists. "Let them sweat a while. There is no way for them to get through that force field. Even the hedgehog and Princess Sophia are trapped. Ooooooh...I just tingle all over," He wiggled his fingers in glee, Snively giving a small smile.
"We're sittin' ducks down here. We gotta do somethin'," Bunnie said in determination as they looked up at the ships flying over them.
"What? There's no way through the force field," Rotor gestured to it.
"Where there's a will, there's a hedgehog, Rote. But I got a question. Once I bust it, how long will it stay open?" He lightly touched it, Sally and Rotor both thinking about it.
"Uh, it's just a guess, but I'd say no more than 10 seconds," Sally guessed and Sonic whistled, waving Sophia over. She walked to her friend, who whispered in her ear. She nodded in agreement with a small smile.
"I'll try."
"Okay. Have everybody ready," The two sped past Momma T, who wondered what they were gonna do.
"Do those fools actually think they can break through my force field? Oh, this should be most entertaining," Robotnik just smiled at the thought, still watching them from his screen.
Sonic took out a ring from his backpack, Sophia bringing her hands together to power up both of her rings from her wrists.
"Juice time!"
The two made a break for it, and then spin dashed towards the portal, actually managing to break through it. Everyone escaped while riding Baby T and Momma T, and then the forcefield closed after that.
"Those two!" Robotnik shook in anger, Snively in fear for his life. He let out an angry scream while the others came across a river.
"Come on, Sal. We gotta keep juicin'," Sonic urged her, as they didn't know when Robotnik would find them again.
"No, Sonic," Sally shook her head. "We don't know the Great Jungle; Mother T does," She adjusted a dial from the translator. "We need her help."
"Make that help mondo fast," Sophia told her as she could hear the ships.
"Come on, Nicole, lock in," Sally looked down at Nicole, trying to get an answer.
"S-cor...scorch," Momma T hinted to them.
"That's it. We're getting there, Nicole."
"Sonic. Good idea," Momma T spoke in full words. "Scorch plants eat metal machines."
"Yes!" Sonic pumped a fist, Sophia smiling happily. "Good call, Momma T. All we need is a big patch of those plants."
"Across...river," She directed them and Sophia looked up ahead.
The ships got a lock on something, and flew down to see Sophia and Sonic waving their hands.
"Yo! Lookin' for us, metal breath? Follow the leader."
Sophia blew a raspberry and they took off. The ships took the bait, following them deeper into the forest. Sonic turned around to mock their enemy some more.
"Hey, Robuttnik! You couldn't catch me if I was standing still. Or if Soph flew in place."
"You're wrong, hedgehog! This time there is no place to hide," While he was saying this, Sonic crossed his arms, tapping his foot against the grass.
"Ha! Could've fooled us."
"Bye!" Sophia waved as they ran off again. They glanced up at the ships following their move.
"That's it, Stealth Bots, keep comin'. Keep comin'. Whoa!" He flinched as he looked up ahead. "Scorch city!"
"Momma T wasn't kidding," Sophia murmured to him.
"They're in the open! Take them now!" Robotnik ordered while seeing them run to the scorch plants.
"Sir, we can't send the bots into those trees," Snively warned him.
"Those puny trees cannot stop my Stealth Bots. Get the hedgehog and the princess!" He repeated angrily, gripping Snively by the shirt.
The Stealth ships lowered themselves to get closer to the duo.
"Crank-up time!" Sonic stated to Sophia.
"Here we go!" She sped up along with him, disappearing into the fields. Once the ships touched them, they started to lose their parts while flying. Robotnik noticed this and saw that they were heading straight for the field.
"Snively, pull up. Pull up!" He grabbed the lever and pulled up the ship himself, trying to find the duo, but was unable to. "We've lost them! Nothing! They're gone." He pressed a button to turn off his monitor.
Sally, Bunnie, Rotor, and Tails were riding Momma T and Baby T through the forest.
"I was thinking, Sal," Sonic spoke up while in front, Sophia flying above him. "If we could get some of those scorch plants back to Knothole, we could put a serious dent in Robotnik's metal-heads."
"Already done," She answered with a smile, to his disbelief.
"No way," He denied to her.
"Yes, done."
"Come on; there's no way to move them," He gestured to the flora around them.
"Sure there is."
"How?" He challenged back and she opened up a little pouch she had on her, revealing a bunch of seeds.
"The seeds are harmless. I'm gonna plant them. Past cool, huh?"
"Way past," He smiled with a thumbs up.
"Really?" She asked in surprise.
"Well, maybe not way past but past," Sonic elaborated to her.
"Oh?"
"Yeah. I'm way past; you're just past," He told the chipmunk and she gave an annoyed look.
"Uh-huh. Right. We're really lucky you thought of these seeds," She stated sarcastically, Sophia rolling her eyes.
"Hey, when you're cool, you're cool. And I'm cool," He walked off and she crossed her arms, Rotor giggling to himself. They followed the terapods through the forest, the duo coming to a stop.
"Look. Home," Momma T looked up ahead to see an island surrounded by water.
"It's Boulder Bay. She knew where she was going all along," Sally smiled at Sonic.
"Past cool. Ol' Buttnik will never find you here, Mama T."
"You're my bestest friend, Baby T," Tails spoke up and they looked to the duo of friends.
"Aww..." Baby T nuzzled him.
"This might help you say goodbye, Tails," Sally took out another collar, putting it around Baby T.
"I don't wanna say goodbye. Please come back with us, Baby T," Tails patted his trunk. "W-We could play dirt hockey and stuff."
Baby T just shook his head. "Stay with Momma T. You come with us."
"I can't, Baby T," Tails denied sadly. "The Freedom Fighters need me," His friends looked on sadly. "Bye, Baby T. Be cool," He stepped back and gave the terapod a thumbs up.
"Yeah, way past cool. Gotta juice it loose."
"Oh my gosh; all that work and he sounds just like you," Sally stated in disbelief, pointing to the hedgehog. "Just like when Sophia first tried translating our language."
"Yeah. Gimme five, Baby T," Sonic stepped forward, the terapod high-fiving him with his trunk.
