Team RWBY was in their dorm room waiting for Sun and Neptune to show up. They heard that those two have some important information.
After the surrender of Roman Torchwick, Team RWBY were in a disarray. They didn't know whether to investigate (and ultimately pursue) further or celebrate their victory. Blake and Weiss had suspicions about Roman's surrender. It was almost like he wanted to surrender and they needed to find out why because they don't know.
Yang was the most irritated. Yang may be the mentally weak of all of Team RWBY (when this is happening that is). She joined Beacon to become a huntress for adventure and fun. (And just like Aizawa said Life is not fun and fair). So after Roman's surrender, Yang has been beating up people harder in the arena inside the school where they have students fight each other. She is beating people up harder because she couldn't beat Roman and THAT was exactly what he wanted. So far Yang wants to beat up Roman or at least find out why did he surrender.
Ruby on the other hand was frustrated. She didn't know how to calm her teammates down. Weiss has calmed down but Blake hasn't been more sleep-deprived and stressful than now. She was hungry for answers. Ruby is hoping that Sun and Neptune could give them some answers so Blake could calm down and be less stressed.
"How long are they gonna take to get here?!" Yang asked in irritation. She needed answers about Roman's surrender but not as much as Blake. But she has been worried about Blake so she needs the answers for Blake's safety.
The door on their dorm room knocked and Team RWBY could assume it was Sun and Neptune. "Hold on, I'll get it," Weiss said as she walked to the door to open it.
'Swift to open the door for her crush huh?" Yang thought. She could tease Weiss later but not now.
The door opened and Sun and Neptune walked inside. "Hello, girls! How have you…been?" Sun asked looking at Team RWBY especially the state Blake is in right now.
"We…have been anything but great so I hope you have something to make it great," Weiss said as Sun and Neptune understood.
Yang thought about other things. She never thought she would hear Weiss tell a boy like Sun something as in the words of "Make it great". "Make it great. That's what she said!" Yang was having dirty thoughts.
"So…uh you guys remember that we're Junior Detectives right?" Sun asked as the rest of the team nodded.
"Well our senior detective Connor had a case yesterday and he was sent to investigate," Neptune informed.
"And you guys went with him?" Ruby asked curiously.
"No way, they probably snuck into wherever the investigation was taking place," Blake said as Weiss nodded.
"Yeah, you girls are right. We convinced the guards with our kids that we were with Connor and we were a bit late. So we flew in with the guards." Sun confirmed as the girls sighed.
"Where did the investigation take place?" Blake asked curiously
"It took place in some abandoned airfield that was being used by the White Fang," Neptune informed.
"Should've thought that those terrorists would hide somewhere like that," Weiss said as Blake felt uncomfortable.
"You said it was being used. What stopped it from being used?" Yang asked wondering if it's a person's doing.
"That's what we are trying to find out. Apparently, some big explosion happened at the airfield that drew our the White Fang fled with what little remaining vehicles they had." Sun said as Neptune continued.
"We know the vehicles they left with were overloaded and a van left with them too," Neptune informed.
"So our senior was sent to find out what happened and we just tagged along with him," Sun said scratching his head as the girls sighed.
"Well, what did you find out?" Ruby asked.
"One of the warehouses that the abandoned airfield had were blown up so our senior couldn't really investigate it today," Sun informed.
"What is your senior like?" Weiss asked.
"I don't know he called us "Huntsman-in-Trashcan" a few times and he hates romance." Neptune said as Yang and Ruby were giggling at the "Huntsman-in-Trashcan" part.
"So there were five corpses near that blown up a warehouse that all look like died from some accident," Neptune said.
"What do you mean?" Ruby asked.
"One of them died by getting his ribs shattered by a valve from some pipe. Another died because their gun exploded. Another got crushed by a door." Sun said.
"Wait a door?" Yang and Weiss asked thinking of wooden doors.
"Yes, by a bulkhead door. You know the ones they use in ships." Neptune said with fear because of "Ships".
"Another died from a valve from the door that crushed the other guy and the last one died of Hemorrhagic Shock," Sun informed as the girls were all shocked.
"Wait? How does that happen?" Weiss asked not believing this to be an accident. (There are no accidents- Master Oogway)
"That's what I mean! All of these corpses look like they died from an accident." Neptune said.
"What if they did?" Ruby asked.
"That's not possible. The last three corpses were near that door. Our senior suspects that the door was either locked or jammed and they were trying to open it." Sun said.
"Meaning someone were jammed inside the warehouse with all those crates of different varieties of dust," Sun informed.
"So all of them to look like accidents is not a coincidence," Blake said getting what Sun and Neptune are trying to say.
"Could someone lock them inside?" Blake asked.
"We don't know for certain," Neptune said.
"What else did you find out?" Weiss asked.
"Well after our senior acknowledged that we could help he sent us to investigate the hanger. And what we found weren't pleasant…" Neptune said almost throwing up thinking back at the hanger.
"What did you guys find?" Ruby asked hoping for it to be some superweapon.
"Well inside that hanger were a pile of dust crates and we noticed a stench coming from the centre of it," Sun said as Weiss and Blake have a suspicious feeling that they know what the stench is.
"So we informed our senior and he informed the lieutenant who sent robots to disassemble the crates. And after that…" Sun said hesitating to continue.
"And after that…?" Weiss asked for Sun to continue.
"Our senior asked to open the crate and after we did we almost threw up," Neptune said.
"What could be inside it that it would make you vomit?" Ruby asked with fear.
"A charred corpse," Sun informed as the rest of the girls were shocked.
"The White Fang is taking things too far!" Blake said with anger that her beloved organization has stoop this low.
"It wasn't the white fang who did that…" Sun said calming down Blake.
"What do you mean it wasn't the White Fang? That corpse was hidden at their base!" Yang asked not understanding.
"No Yang. It makes sense. Why hide the body when you can dispose of it properly? At your own base?" Weiss said as Yang was starting to understand.
"Our senior believes that someone else did this that weren't enemies with the White Fang. He suspects that it's Roman's employer or his other partners." Sun informed.
"Wait Roman has an employer?" Ruby asked surprised.
"They've been robbing dust like they're on a time limit. They've robbing dust like it's a mission given to them. They've robbing dust like a grand prize was promised to them!" Neptune said repeating Connor's words in his tone as team RWBY was surprised.
"I guess that makes sense." Yang agreed.
"After that, we didn't find anything significant, to be honest," Sun said.
"So where is your senior?" Weiss asked.
"Oh, he's talking with the General about the case," Sun said. Blake was feeling relieved that Roman got captured and she got some answers but she wanted to know who Roman's employer was and who could've blown up that warehouse. She needed to know (Pursue).
Meanwhile at Beacon, Headmaster's Office…
"So what else did you find out?" James asked as Connor finished explaining about the charred corpse.
"Well, when we were investigating the Doctor's Cabin I found a few shards of wood with blood on them. And since there was no corpse nearby I assumed the person was alive." Connor informed.
"So when we found out that Roman breached Vale and then surrendered I dismissed my junior detectives and went to investigate myself," Connor informed.
"And the warehouse?" Ozpin asked.
"What?" Connor asked confused.
"The warehouse that was blown up, what happened to it?" Ozpin asked.
"Oh after it was good enough to investigate I found 6 corpses and one of them was of a girl who had her head blown up by a hook and her lower and upper body were separated" Connor informed as Ozpin, Glynda and James were surprised.
'Is that happened to the other half maiden? The maidens are no pushover and yet… someone did this to the half maiden' Ozpin thought as his friends were having similar thoughts. 'I hope he is on our side.' Ozpin thought.
"What was the cause behind her death?" Ozpin asked.
"Oh multiple varieties of dust hit her causing a reaction and a hook to the head obliterating it," Connor informed as Ozpin nodded.
"So I investigated the train and Mount Glenn later and I found traces of the same blood from the pieces of wood at a van and in the train and at the City inside Mount Glenn. So that means that this girl is alive and ran away when Torchwick were causing havoc. Maybe that's why he surrendered so while he has the attention she could escape." Connor suggested.
"That seems plausible. I'll have the guards and policemen look for her and as for the van that you mentioned?" James asked wanting to know more about this van that Connor mentioned.
"Ah yes, after I found out what happened with the train with the girl's blood trace and many of your stolen paladins I decided to head for Mount Glenn," Connor said as James were a bit hurt that the train had many of his stolen paladins.
"So when we reached Mount Glenn we were surprised to see that someone was already here before us after the mountain collapsed," Connor informed them as they were surprised.
"Who was it?" James asked.
"From what I can tell. They were looking around the corpses as 7 of the corpses had been examined by them by the looks of it and there was a corpse of a doctor, the same doctor from the airfield which gives me the conclusion that they fled here after the warehouse blew up. And I suppose the people that came looking were the White Fang. Maybe they got called in by this late doctor or others to help with whatever they were fighting." Connor informed as they thought about it.
'They were fighting someone? Maybe the same person who blew up the warehouse but how could that be possible? Maybe there were multiple people.' James thought as his friends had similar thoughts.
"How are you so sure that they were fighting something?" Glynda asked.
" Well one of their warehouses blow up, 11 people dead, their causes look like an accident, Mount Glenn collapses and the people who it collapsed upon also has causes of their deaths looking like accidents. There are too many coincidences for it to be an accident ." Connor explained as Glynda understood.
"So what should we do?" James asked.
"Well since Roman returned those stolen paladins why don't you let him go?" Connor suggested as they were shocked by this suggestion.
"What do you mean?! He is a criminal that belongs in prison!" Glynda exclaimed as her friends agreed.
"Look at it this way. There are 3 factions at work here. White Fang, Roman and mystery faction. Roman and White Fang are allies. Mystery Faction blows up the warehouse and White Fang flees. That makes Mystery Faction enemy of White Fang and Roman." Connor said as they nodded.
"Roman betrays White Fang by leaving them inside the mountain while it collapsed. That makes Roman the enemy of the White Fang. My investigation from the other warehouse result in the conclusion that the White Fang left a lot of important communication devices when they fled which means that the rest of the White Fang doesn't know about the Mystery Faction." Connor informed as they thought about it and understood.
"Mystery Faction has not killed Roman which means Roman worked something out so the Mystery Faction won't kill him but the White Fang will. So Roman surrendered to us for security from the White Fang and Mystery faction if they go after him" Connor said as they were surprised.
"So he's using us?!" James exclaimed with shock as Connor nodded.
"But let him go?! It doesn't sit right with us!" Glynda exclaimed.
"You have to remember that it also doesn't sit right with Roman either," Connor said as they thought about it.
"We'll think about it," Ozpin said.
"Oh, and as for the van it was seen near the streets a few days ago so I am going to investigate tomorrow," Connor said as he left through the elevator.
Unknown to them Wonder of U was standing above them on one of the bars in the tower in his real form so they couldn't see him.
'I came here to replace the headmaster with the head doctor but it seems that the headmaster has connections.' The wonder of U thought. 'Wait what's this?' The wonder of U wondered as he saw Amber walk in.
"So what did you guys find out about the woman who attacked me?" Amber asked.
"Well, she got killed by multiple dust varieties colliding with her and her head exploding," Ozpin said amused that one of Salem's cultists is dead.
"How does that happen?" Amber asked.
"We don't know," James informed.
"And what will I do?" Amber asked.
"Well, you could continue hiding here and pose as a student or hide somewhere else," Ozpin said as Amber nodded.
"Can't I just go home?" Amber asked.
"Not while you're the Fall Maiden and Salem will come after you anyway," Ozpin said as Amber was terrified.
"I'll think about it," Amber said as she, James and Glynda headed to the elevator.
'Now this is interesting. This girl is the Fall Maiden whatever that is and this Salem is their enemy.' Wonder of U informed Tooru. 'Salem is one of the optional enemies we have to kill as for the Fall Maiden…' Tooru trailed off as Wonder of U finished for him. 'I saw something about a maiden in the library.' Wonder of U informed Tooru. 'Let's take a look.' Tooru said as Wonder of U left the tower.
"Many people wish to pursue me and Calamity will be ensued upon them." The wonder of U stated as he stood outside the tower.
