Here he was, The Wonder of U. Walking through the streets of Vale during midnight.
It has been 20 months since he arrived on this planet.
'And shit has changed drastically in these 20 months.' Wonder of U thought.
People were panicking because of the situation they're in right now.
It was really stupid of them. Tooru and everyone from Earth has went through this..."phase" as he would like to call it.
After the grimm extinction, population increased by 8% in 6 months.
'Well the population wasn't a lot to begin with.' Wonder of U thought.
Remant barely had 200 million people. The population struggled because of grimm, poverty, terrorism and other stuff. But the grimm was fueling them.
'That's what they thought.' Wonder of U thought as he walked.
They believed that all that ill intentions existed because of the grimm, because they narrow their choices.
But it was grimm that kept them unified for long as they did. They kept fighting against them to survive.
But without the grimm there was no more unity, not the same kind that existed.
"Get your hands up in the air!" Someone yelled with a gun pointing at him.
'Well, crime started to increase...' Wonder of U thought as he turned around and looked at him.
He then immediately gets shot in his liver. 'I heard livers grow back if a quarter of them still exists.' Wonder of U thought.
Then he turned around and looked up to see a huntress with a scythe with a sniper attached to it.
'Seems familiar.' Wonder of U thought. The criminal was on the ground crying in agony.
Then more bullets started flying at her. More criminals arrived in cars and started fighting with that huntress.
"And gang war has increased." Wonder of U muttered looking at the gangsters firing at her.
The huntress fled or more likely retreated and they stopped firing at her.
'They are wearing yellow, that must mean that they are part of the...Yellow Dragon.' Wonder of U recognised them.
Wonder of U was starting to walk away...until the gangsters in yellow pointed their guns at him.
"And these threats have been so severe..." Wonder of U muttered.
Then multiple rockets came raining down on the gangsters. Those exploded and the gangsters were obliterated.
"That they're calling airstrikes!" Wonder of U exclaimed as he looked at the scene.
He looked up to see an Atleasian aircraft. The one that dropped the airstrike.
He walked away from it quickly, not wanting to get involved.
Welp, population increase meant increase of crime and crime has increased by 15%. People are panicking thinking it's going to continue.
He can relate somewhat to their fears. He too believed that once there was 6 billion more people back on Earth in 200 years, he thought it would keep increasing like that.
But statistics don't lie. But even back on Earth the crime was much more...active.
Gangsters with their drug, dust, human, faunus smuggling activities increased in Remnant. Gang wars became much more serious.
And the huntsmen... well most of them retired after the grimm went extinct believing that their fight has come to an end.
And those that didn't retire were trained to follow new regulations.
Huntsmen was an occupation where you hunt down mindless beasts with your over te top weaponry.
But that age has ended. The only things they were going to hunt down were criminals.
And criminals here didn't even have aura, well most of them like the Yellow Dragon gangsters that got airstriked.
'Or that their aura wasn't strong enough to take multiple rockets.' Wonder of U speculated.
Almost every week there is a criminal that perishes due to a huntsman.
So they are trying to hold back, They wanted to be huntsmen to protect people not kill them.
"But the law allow them to kill as long as they're criminals." Wonder of U muttered as he walked.
There were few huntsman who just kills criminals for fun? He didn't know.
The young ones are being trained with new rules. It was going to take them more than a year to get ready.
And everyone knew that. It was why the criminals are trying harder than ever despite getting airstriked on.
The government became desperate too. They're going to use whatever methods they got to stop the criminals until the huntsmen-in-training were ready.
"It's a goddamn world war!" Wonder of U exclaimed as he walked.
This was happening everywhere...well not really.
Not all criminals are getting airstriked like the ones in Vale and Atlas.
Not all criminals are getting shot down regardless of their crimes like in Mistral and Vacou.
There wasn't a war everywhere. It was a slaughter.
The situation in Vacou was still normal. Because Vacuo had the most crime.
The situation in Mistral was...admirable. They are trying their best to keep things under control and It's kind of working.
The situation in Atlas is less like a gang war and more like a revolution against them by the people of Mantle.
"And Vale is fucking Gotham!" Wonder of U exclaimed thinking about Gotham from Batman.
Wonder of U had reached the place he was headed for. Here he was at the mart where he had brought those sausages for his first day.
The sound of the Atleasian aircraft distracted him as he looked at it flying overhead.
"Reminds me of the predator drone and the AC-130. They will shit their pants when the criminals fight back." Wonder of U said thinking about escalation.
Then he started walking to the mart again. It was closed off the with shutters down.
'I thought this place was open 24/7. Something is off...' Wonder of U suspected something.
Wonder of U slipped into his real form and approached the building.
He phased through the wall and saw what was inside. He was astonished.
There were criminals everywhere, shelfs were on the ground or titled on the wall with them on it.
There were a TV, some song playing, the gangsters playing some game and talking with eachother.
Some were counting bullets and measuring drugs and dust. There were even a board with a plan drawn on it.
'That a heist setup?' Wonder of U wondered as he looked around.
This place looked like a crack den mixed with some cavemen. Seriously who was going to clean this mess up!?
'They ransacked it...fuck...but why stay here? There's a predator drone right above us...' Wonder of U thought.
"Now, Mr White, you're going to listen to us..." said someone who looked like their leader.
He was pointing a gun at some man. Wonder of U didn't recognise him.
"P-Please! I'll do as you say! Just don't hurt my daughter..." The man begged.
"Papa!" Screamed some girl. Wonder of U looked to see them holding his daughter hostage.
Wonder of U recognised her. She was the one who offered him sausages when he first came here.
"Oh will you now?" The gangster said holding her chest and pointing a gun at her head.
"Yes! Please!" Mr White begged.
"After we have some fun..." The gangster said as he was starting slip his hand into her pants.
"Russel, stop that." The leader ordered as Russel stopped. They lowered the volume of their devices to listen to what their boss had to say.
"What!? Why!?" He exclaimed.
"If people finds out about this, especially our Atleasian friends...you know what would happen..." He warned.
"Tch, fine." He agreed as he let go of her.
'Poor girl...' Wonder of U thought.
"Here's compensation." The leader said as he threw some cash on the ground for Mr White.
"Boss! What do we do about that aircraft flying overhead?" Another gangster asked.
'They knew that?' Wonder of U wondered what their plans were.
"Is..." He started as he grabbed a remote and changed the source on the TV.
There was an aircraft on the screen. Exactly like the one that dropped the airstrike.
"that the aircraft you're talking about?" He asked as they nodded.
Then he brought what looked like a walkie-talkie out. "Engage." He ordered on the walkie-talkie.
They stared at the screen to see multiple rockets hitting the engine of the aircraft.
They watched and cheered as it came crashing down while Mr White and his daughter were terrified.
"Our friends from Atlas have provided us with missiles called the Heat-seeking missiles!" He exclaimed as they all cheered.
'They just invented that?' Wonder of U thought surprised. Guess the grimm didn't generate heat.
They celebrated their victory while Wonder of U observed. He came here to buy some sausages.
But seeing the place ransacked he couldn't do that anymore.
"Liro!" One of the gangsters called out their leader.
"?" Liro looked at him curiously.
"The Dust Fuckers have arrived!" He exclaimed as everyone was on alert.
'The who?!' Wonder of U thought surprised. He has never heard of this Dust Fuckers.
"Whats the situation!?" Liro asked as the others armed themselves.
"They have us surrounded on the front with trucks with guns mounted on them. I don't want to risk using any other door. There could be a sniper." He informed.
'Looks like they are going to rain fire from the front.' Wonder of U thought.
"Seems like we're gonna have to leave...so be it. Let's leave the same way we got in." Liro ordered as they hauled their crates downstairs.
'A sewer?' Wonder of U assumed it was a sewer.
"What about them?" A gangster asked pointing at Mr White and his daughter.
"Leave them be." Liro said as they agreed.
"What!? No!?" They begged. They didn't want themselves to be reduced to mincemeat.
But the gangster shot Mr White in the head.
"Papa! NO!" The girl cried as the gangster walked downstairs.
If Wonder of U had to guess, they will open fire in 15 seconds. Since they didn't know of his presence, calamity wouldn't harm them either, not from him.
Wonder of U slipped into his human form and decided to give her a chance.
"Girl, they will open fire in 15 seconds. If you can bring me a packet of sausages by then, I'll protect you." Wonder of U ordered.
She stopped for a few seconds but then she immediately realised she will die if she doesn't help him.
She ran to the aisle with the freezer near it. She grabbed the box of sausages.
"Here!" She screamed as the gangsters opened fire. Guess that counts as pursue.

But Wonder of U shielded her from the hail of bullets. Only stands can damage other stands, not normal bullets.
She rolled herself in fear while Wonder of U examined the box. '18 sausages! Neat!' Wonder of U thought.
Then all of a sudden there were explosions. The gunfire stopped for a brief moment.
'There is a huntsman...' Wonder of U speculated.
Then there were sounds of explosions, gunfire and smashing noises.
There were holes in the shutter. He could make out that there were multiple of them.
'The Dust Fuckers are fucked.' Wonder of U thought.
He looked at the girl to see that she passed out from the fear and that she...wet her pants too.
A couple minutes later, all noises ceased. He assumed they dealt with them.
He then proceded to walk to the exit through the rubble. This place has had better days.
The doors were...well they had less holes in them compared to the shutters.
He opened the doors to see four huntresses.
One of them had yellow hair, another had white, another had black and the last one had red hair.
There were more details about them but he could care less.
The girls looked at him for a few seconds until being surprised and shocked.
"You!" They all exclaimed recognising him but he didn't recognise them.
"Do I know you all?" Wonder of U asked confused.
"You attacked us in Beacon!" Weiss exclaimed.
"Oh! Now I remember. But it was more like you got struck by calamity. " Wonder of U said.
They wanted to attack him but they weren't sure that they would be struck by calamity or not.
Then all of a sudden, a bunch of rubbles came flying at them from the destroyed mart.
They got hit by all of them but they were still standing. 'It seems their auras have been enhanced.' Wonder of U thought.
"Dammit!" Yang exclaimed as they regained their composure and stared at him.
They realised their mistake of wanting to harm him.
"I thought you couldn't do that anymore!" Ruby exclaimed.
"Why would you think that?" Wonder of U asked.
"Because nothing happened to us for the last year!" Weiss exclaimed.
"Well, I can't keep the calamity flowing all the time." Wonder of U said.
'He can't!?' They all thought.
"So what are you here for?" Blake asked.
"To get these." Wonder of U showed them his box of sausages.
"Sausages?" They all asked confused.
Then more rubble came their way. Luckily they dodged most of it but still were hit.
"A man's gotta eat." Wonder of U said as he started walking away.
"Did you kill my father?" Weiss asked while Yang protected her from more flying rubble.
Wonder of U stopped and looked at the destroyed trucks with corpses lying around them. Then he realised something.
"Hold on, they're alive?" Wonder of U asked pointing at the lying bodies moving in pain.
"We're not murderers! We don't kill people!" Ruby exclaimed.
'They're like fucking Batman and spider-man. Beat the guy almost to their death and ruin their lives.' Wonder of U thought.
"Who's going to pay for their hospital bill? Surely not the same dudes that are paying you..." Wonder of U asked.
"Of course the government will deal with their healthcare. Plus we aren't being paid for this." Yang assured.
"What? You mean to tell me the government is paying for their healthcare?" Wonder of U asked.
"They are. What's wrong about it?" Blake asked confused.
"You know...if you continue beating them up like this, things will escalate and money will be spent much more. At this rate, Vale might become bankrupt or poor." Wonder of U said.
"I know!" Weiss exclaimed as her teammates were confused. She understood what he was trying to say.
"Huh?" They asked in confusion.
"But we can't just kill them." Weiss said.
"Then face the consequences or I suppose others will..." Wonder of U said as they were still confused other than Weiss.
"Oh and I don't even know who you are so I don't even know who your father was." Wonder of U said.
"My father was Jacquess Schnee." Weiss informed.
"No, I didn't shove him into his aquarium of piranhas." Wonder of U said as he started walking away with the sausages.
Weiss was surprised. She thought he would be behind it.
"Tell Ozpin I said Hi!" Wonder of U waved as he walked into an alley where they couldn't see him.
"So what was he talking about?" Ruby asked as sirens approached the scene.
