Chapter 10: What's a king to a god.
Leo turned around and saw Jack's duel runner stop a few meters from him.
Dark signer Leo: Oh, you actually came-
Jack: Shut up you bastard, I've come here to stop you!
Dark signer Leo: Now that's not very nice.
Jack: Maybe so, but judging what you've did you deserve what I'm going to say and do.
Dark signer Leo: So, I trust you're here to try and defeat me.
Jack: That and I'm looking for Carly.
Dark signer Leo: The reporter? Haven't seen her.
Jack: Don't lie to me, I saw the hummingbird symbol in the sky.
Dark signer Leo: Well do you see her around?
Jack surveyed the area and saw Carly's glasses on the ground.
Jack: What did you do to her, WHAT DID YOU DO!
Dark signer Leo: Why do you even care?
Jack: She saved me and helped me realize that I was wrong for abandoning my friends. That's why I care
Dark signer Leo: Really? I don't recall you ever talking to Carly after the dark signer war. But even if you did all you did during these recent events was brag about how easily you can beat me simply because Yusei could and since you were so foolish poor Carly had to pay the price for it! She's gone now, because of you!
Jack was getting angrier and angrier at Leo because not only did he seal Carly away, he was also telling the truth.
Dark signer Leo: It's a funny thing isn't it, a few months ago you were still the king, yet you let yourself get beaten by Yusei.
Jack: What do you mean by that?
Dark signer Leo: In both your duels with Yusei you had so many opportunity's to beat Yusei, yet you never took them and in doing so let Yusei draw the perfect card he needs to take you down. You really have a habit about not taking things seriously.
Jack: The crimson dragon wanted him to win.
Dark signer Leo: You were already a signer and the crimson dragon doesn't limit your skills in a duel, face it Jack you let this happen to Carly.
Jack: I will make sure your defeat is painful!
Dark signer Leo: Fool, I already came up with a strategy to beat Yusei weeks before I was a dark signer and now I have so much power that I doubt even Yusei can stop me, least of all one of his lap dogs!
Jack: What the hell did you call me?
Dark signer Leo: Yusei's lapdog! It's a shame really, in the past you knew what you were doing. You didn't let teamwork or friendship slow you down from achieving your goals.
Jack: I am no longer the same man who I was a few moths ago and I am stronger because of it. You have forgotten what is important and as a result you are weaker.
Dark singer Leo: Then why have I defeated so many? If you wish to continue giving me a friendship speech then let's just agree to disagree!
Jack: Leo, for the sake of all who you've hurt I'm am going to defeat you!
Dark singer Leo: What makes you think you can defeat me, you couldn't defeat Yusei or.
Jack: Or who?
Leo was now in the perfect position.
Dark singer Leo: How did you become the king if you didn't defeat the shogun!
Jack was caught off guard by that statement. Early his turbo dueling career the shogun known as Kenji Katsu held rank of number one duelist on the planet along with his wife the geisha known as Himari Akumu, they were the only two duelists who managed to defeat him at that time. Rex even stated that those two are some of the most powerful duelists he ever known, when they retired Jack was made the king by default but he is still annoyed that he hasn't truly defeated them.
Dark singer Leo: Don't think I don't know about the shogun, the one who held the rank of best duelist before you, hell he even defeated you during his first turn! You couldn't defeat him or his wife the geisha. The only reason you became the best duelist was because he and his wife retired and this making you best duelist by default.
Jack: What does this have to do with any of this!
Dark singer Leo: Do you remember their names?
Jack: Kenji Katsu and Himari Akumu, why do you care?
Dark signer Leo: What is my last name?
Jack began to put two and two together.
Jack: No, you can't be! You mean!
Dark singer Leo: Yes, my full name is Leo Akumu!
Jack was shocked, this was the son of the shogun and the geisha.
Dark signer Leo: Well now Jack, I'll defeat you like my family before me!
Jack: So what if your parents are powerful duelists, As long as my soul burns I will do everything I can to stop you!

Dark signer Leo: I'll give you the first move.
Jack: Very well then, I draw! I summon dark resonator!

Jack: What! A trap from your hand!
Dark signer Leo: If I control no cards I can activate this from my hand, now I target a monster you control and it's effects are negated so ink resonator's level stays the same!
Jack: Fine, I set a card and end my turn.
Dark signer Leo: *Draws card* Since I control no monsters I can special summon morphtronic turreten

Dark signer Leo: Now, whenever you special summon a monster once per turn I can destroy and inflict damage to you equal to it's defense points! Now I send polyerization along with pot of greed, pot of advarice and pot of acquisitiveness from my hand to the graveyard to special summon pot of corruption from my extra deck!

A massive leviathan made up with a body made up of all the pot cards merged appeared behind Leo.
Dark singer Leo: Pot of corruption gains 1000 points for every pot card with different names from my graveyard.

Dark signer Leo: Now I activate his first effect, once per turn if I have less than two cards in my hand I can draw two cards. Now pot of corruption destroy ink resonator!
Jack: I activate my quick play spell command silencer, the battle phase ends and I draw a card.
Dark signer Leo: I activate the spell card dark assistance, I can now add one zombie and one fiend monster from my deck to my hand, you however can add one monster of your choosing from your deck to your hand.
Jack: Leo, are you that stupid? I'm obviously going to pick red nova.
Dark signer Leo: That's the point, you see I'm absorbing earthbound immortals in order to further infect the crimson dragon and to release the primal being, and you brought to me one of the most powerful earthbound immortals.
Jack: Well Leo, this immortal will be the one to put you in the ground!
Jack grabbed red nova but Jack began to feel weaker when he grabbed it.
Jack: Argh, what did you do to red nova?
Dark signer Leo: I didn't do anything, do you honestly think that you can simply control one of the most powerful earthbound immortals? Rex needed both every signer mark and a dark signer mark to even be able to summon wiraqocha rasca, you only have one mark and that mark is weakening.
Jack: Then how did I control red nova so easily before.
Dark signer Leo: As I said your mark is weakening, the more the crimson dragon becomes infected the weaker your mark becomes, at full power the crimson dragon can protect you from the cost of red nova but since he is heavily weakened he can no longer protect you.
Jack felt his soul begin to slip from him as he got weaker.
Dark signer Leo: And you say you can easily win, *sets card* prove it!
Jack: I draw! I activate ink resonator's effect changing it's level to one. Now I tune ink resonator to chaos king archfiend, witness why I am known as the true king synchro summon! Come forth my soul, red dragon archfiend!

Jack knew that he couldn't summon red nova dragon as he feared what it'd do to him in his weakened state. So he decided to use the next best thing.
Jack: Okay first I play mimic spell, I now copy the effect of a spell in your graveyard and I chose pot of greed so I draw two cards, now I summon force resonator!

Jack: I'll pay you back soon enough! I activate monster rebor bringing back my monster. Hot red dragon archfiend bane snap turreten like a matchstick!
(Leo: 2800- Jack: 1000)
Dark signer Leo: Still you didn't deal me that much damage.
Jack: Shut up! *Sets card* I end my turn.
Dark signer Leo: *Draws card* I activate the spell morphtronic reassembly I special summon a morhptronic from my graveyard with it's effects negated so welcome back turreten!

Dark signer Leo: This card is also treated as a normal tuner but I activate the spell dark synchro infect! I target a monster I control and change it's level to one I choose until the end phase as long as I control a dark tuner so I change turreten to level 10. Now I dark tune the-
Jack: I won't let you summon death stream! I play the trap weakened synchro! I reduce the level of a monster you control by two.
Dark signer Leo: Grr!
Jack: Don't think you'll get out death stream that easily.
Dark signer Leo: I guess you saved yourself from death stream's judgment, I set a card and activate pot of corruption's effect, since I have less than two cards in my hand I can draw two cards I now set another card and end my turn.
Jack: Your moves are nothing special, turreten is negated and you summoned an ugly creature. I'll wipe you out on my next turn!
Unknown to Jack Carly was watching from the deck she was trapped in, she tried to call out to him so he could help her, but no matter how much she called he couldn't hear her.
Dark signer Leo: Do you want to know what I did to Carly?
Jack: What!
Leo took out the deck she was trapped in.
Dark signer Leo: I trapped her here, and if you want me to free her you need to defeat me!
