Chapter 14: Deal with a devil.
Kenji was eagerly awaiting the results of the tests. After a few hours the doctors came back.
Doctor: Sir it was a slight success.
Kenji: What do you mean slight?
Doctor: Well it does slow down the disease but only slightly.
Kenji: Is there any other treatment?
Doctor: No.
Kenji: *Sigh* Just, are they fine.
Doctor: The symptoms have slowed down and we have deemed it safe for them to leave.
Kenji: Thank you.
Luna, Jack and Crow were discharged from the hospital and Kenji took them back to his house. There the signers began to discuss their next move.
Crow; *Cough* *Cough* So, I guess Leo has cursed us.
Jack: You think? What I want to know is how to cure myself from this.
Luna: Easier said than done.
Jack: *Cough* We have to find him. Maybe if we defeat him we'll be cured.
Crow: Like she said easier said than done! You learned that the hard way!
Jack: Shut up Crow!
Luna just watched as the two men bickered among each other. All she could think about was what her brother was doing, she then began to wonder if this was her fault, maybe if she hadn't snapped at him Leo wouldn't have turned.
*With Leo*
Leo was in the dark world hellscape, a separate plane of existence where evil duel monster spirits are banished to. Normally he wouldn't bother with this but the primal being told him that there was an extremely powerful ally here. After a while Leo came across a monster, this monster was unlike anything he's seen, this monster was completely wrapped in bandages save for her eyes, Leo could sense great power within this spirit.
Dark signer Leo: Greetings.
The spirit looked at Leo, disgust in her eyes.
?: My name is reficule.
Dark signer Leo: Oh, nice to know. Listen I was sent here to get you as my master told me that I could use you in my mission.
Reficule rolled her eyes.
Reficule: Oh, I think I'll pass.
Leo saw the monster charging up what seemed to be a lighting attack. Reficule shot the lighting at Leo who rolled out the way.
Reficule: ...
Dark signer Leo: Why are you trying to kill me? I haven't even introduced myself, I am Leo Akumu, Dark signer and Acolyte of the primal being.
Reficule: I know you work for primal being. That does not help your case here child!
Dark signer Leo: Do you even know what I am here to recruit you for?
Reficule: I don't care!
Dark signer Leo: Well then I'll tell you anyways, I am here to get you revenge.
Reficule: On who? I have a lot of people I want revenge on, be more specific.
Dark signer Leo: The Crimson dragon.
Reficule stopped her aggression and Leo then began to explain.
Dark signer Leo: You remember what he did to you?
Reficule paused for a moment. She has never forgotten what the Crimson dragon did. He took everything everything from her.
Reficule: Yes, that wretched thing is why I am the way I am.
Dark signer Leo: Yes, the dragon is the cause so much of our suffering and I have put together a group to destroy it. I'm offering you a place-
Reficule: Just because we both were hurt by that thing doesn't mean I will join your little group.
Dark signer Leo: What if I were to tell you that the crimson dragon is nearly dead.
Reficule: Hmm, continue.
Dark signer Leo: By absorbing all but three earth bound immortals, I managed to infect the crimson dragon with a plague and it is slowly killing him.
Reficule: And what does that have to do with me?
Dark signer Leo: Because I need help finding Wiraqocha Rasca and Uru as their owners are deceased but the primal being told me you are the key to getting to those two immortals.
Reficule: Why didn't you take the other immortal on earth before bothering me.
Dark signer Leo: Because his owner defeated me before, I want to save him for last.
Reficule began to think to herself, could this boy be telling the truth, is the crimson dragon dying? She wanted nothing more than the crimson dragon to suffer like she did so long ago before she was a darklord. She began to debate to herself, on one hand the darklords and the primal being do not see eye to eye and this was an acolyte of the primal being but on the other hand she would finally get her revenge on the crimson dragon for what he did to her.
Reficule: Fine, I will join you.
Dark signer Leo: Alright-
Reficule: Make no mistake this isn't a permanent alliance, I'm just going to help you get your immortals and kill the crimson dragon, nothing more.
Dark signer Leo: Good, that's all need from you.
Reficule: First you need to get me out of this realm-
Leo touched her arm and they teleported back to the building
Reficule: I guess you do have power.
The two heard screaming and they followed the source to ha des, in front of him was a brutally beaten and burned Sayer. Ha des turned towards the two.
Dark signer Leo: Got what you wanted?
Ha des: Not completely. Please leave me to my work.
The two left the room and Ha des stared at Sayer.
Ha des: They're extraordinary aren't they.
Sayer: I don't give a shit about the signers.
Ha des: Oh but I do. I plan to beat them.
Sayer: *Spits* good luck taking Akiza, the Satellite kid or the others down, you and your clowns are no match for them.
Ha des: Maybe, but with your information I'll guarantee that we will be, our leader though is more than a match for them and is taking them apart one by one. Now give me more information about this Crow fellow.
Sayer: I told you I don't know all that much about him. I told you all I know about Akiza, Yusei, Jack and this guy.
Ha des: Then tell me all you know about Luna here.
Sayer: The kid? She's a rich girl who is the daughter of the Kenji Katsu and Himari Akumu. She fell into a coma for many years and just recently came out of it. Her brother is a dark signer-
Ha des: Yes I know our leader is her brother.
Sayer: What!
Ha des: Continue.
Sayer: Go to hell!
Ha des's smile turned into a serious expression.
Ha des: I'll give you one more chance to give me the information.
Sayer: Why in the hell would I give a person who works for that brat anything!
Ha des: If that is the case, I'll simply force it out you.
Ha des placed his finger on Sayer's head and Sayer began to feel pain from inside his head, he tried to resist what was happening but after a bit he screamed. Ha des now had complete control over his mind. Ha des then proceeded to remove his finger.
Ha des: Tell me more about Luna.
Sayer began to babble on about Luna and the rest of the signers including information he didn't tell Ha des. Eventually he told Ha des everything. Ha des then decided he had enough information, but before he could tie up this loose end Leo came back into the room.
Ha des: What do you need?
Dark signer Leo: I want to test a little project I've made.
He proceeded to give a new card to Sayer, when he placed the card in Sayer's hand Sayer's skin turned pale.
Dark signer Leo: Find a signer, kill the signer.
Corrupted Sayer: Yes master.
Leo couldn't help but smirk. A man who in life craved having control over everything now has no control at all. Leo however didn't care of Sayer won or lost to a signer, he just wanted to see if his project succeeds. Sayer then walked out of the room.
Ha des: So what project are you testing?
Dark signer Leo: I made some alterations to the immortal. I want to see how effective it is.
Ha des: Very well.
Leo and ha des walked back towards the conference room where reficule was waiting.
Dark signer Leo: So as I said I need to get the other two immortals. But their owners are deceased and since they were the wielders of the two most powerful immortals the rules are different for them, they will stay with the owner's spirits until they choose another wielder. And I am not waiting 5000 years to obtain the immortals.
Reficule: I can help you get them. But the cost is steep.
Dark signer Leo: Very well then.
Leo stared out of the window once again. Along with getting the two most powerful immortals he also had another mission, he wanted revenge on his family for what they did. However Leo was patient, he knew that the mission was more important and revenge can come later, but if his parents crossed his path he'd make them pay for what they did long ago. Leo then took out his deck.
Dark signer Leo: What will today's card be? This one.
Leo pulled a card and the card was regretful rebirth. Leo thought none of it and then proceeded to put the card back into the deck.
*Realm of the primal being*
Dark Yusei: My turn! I activate pot of greed, I now draw two cards and I activate mystical space typhoon destroying your anti synchro mist.
Yusei: I play dark bribe! Your card is negated but you draw a card.
Dark Yusei: Fine then, I can still destroy mimic warrior. Stardust spark dragon, you know what to do!
Yusei: I activate the effect of furnace synchron from my graveyard! I banish it it to negate the attack on a synchro monster!
Dark Yusei: You're only delaying the inevitable! I end my turn.
Yusei drew his card and tried to clear his head but all he think is about how he failed to stop Leo from causing so much destruction.
Dark Yusei: Don't bother trying to clear your head!
Yusei: I play monster reborn special summoning junk berserker back!

Dark Yusei: Grr.

Dark Yusei: Didn't even feel that!
Yusei: I-I set two cards and end my turn.
Dark Yusei: Draw! I play my own monst-
Yusei: I knew you'd do that! I play the trap anti spell fragrence. Now you need to set spell cards before activating them
Dark Yusei: Then it's a tragedy I just drew this, mystical space typhoon! I destroy your trap and then I will proceed to complete what I set out to do, I play monster reborn special summoning back chronicle synchron.

Dark Yusei: Now since you control more synchro's than me I tune chronicle synchron with stardust spark dragon.
Yusei saw as the two monsters synchronized and a bright light flashed.
Dark Yusei: ACCEL SYNCRHO! STARDUST CHRONICLE SPARK DRAGON!

The light died down and Yusei saw an evolved version of stardust spark dragon.
Dark Yusei: It's over! Stardust chronicle spark dragon attack junk berserker!
Yusei: Go mirror force! Your monster is destroyed.
Dark Yusei: Stardust chronicle spark dragon's effect! I banish a synchro monster to protect it!
(Yusei: 3700-Dark Yusei: 3600)
Dark Yusei: furthermore I activate the effect of my banished chronicle synchron. Since the monster it used to synchro summon destroyed a monster and since it was banished because of the synchro monster's effect you get dealt damage equal to the monster it destroyed!
(Yusei: 1000-Dark Yusei: 3600)
Dark Yusei: Heh, I end my turn.
Yusei drew his card and began to try and clear his head, all he felt was darkness and guilt because of what happened, he couldn't help but feel as if what Leo did was his fault.
Dark Yusei: As I said already, you're wasting your time. And even if you accel synchro that does not mean victory or even surpassing your limits to the extent of defeating a being of pure hatred like the primal being! Make this easier on yourself and just accept the darkness.
Yusei thought about surrendering the duel. Was their no hope left? Was letting the darkness control him the only way to defeat Leo?
