Chapter 15: Beyond light
Yusei: You're wrong! I ... will ... resist!
Dark Yusei: Abandon the light! Embrace the darkness within!
Yusei then saw the blackness envelop both his feet.
Yusei: What is this?!
Dark Yusei: You giving in!
The darkness began to slowly creep up Yusei's body enveloping his body in blackness. As the darkness began to take Yusei the hope he had began to vanish to where it seemed that all hope was lost.
Yusei: I'm sorry everyone, there really is no stopping him.
As the darkness completely enveloped Yusei he saw all black but in Yusei's darkest moment he heard a voice behind him. He recognized it, it was the voice of his father.
Yusei's father: Yusei, do not give in.
Yusei turned and saw his father and another voice was then heard.
?: Yusei I know you can fight this.
He then saw his mother appear beside him
Yusei: Mom, Dad?
Yusei's father and mother looked and Yusei and smiled. Seeing this, his mother and father with him in his darkest hour caused Yusei began to tear up.
Yusei: I don't know what to do. I don't think I can stop him let alone Leo, the darkness is too strong.
Yusei's mom: Yusei, in the darkest times you can find hope.
Yusei: I-I.
Yusei's Mom: Look within yourself and find what gives you hope and use it to conquer the darkness.
Tears began to run down Yusei's cheeks. His mother and father then embraced Yusei.
Yusei's father: We're so proud of you.
Yusei's mother: We always have been and always would be. We know you will save him.
Yusei's parents then vanished and Yusei began to concentrate on clearing his head and he then heard more voices.
Jack: Yusei this is not your fault.
Akiza: Do not blame yourself for the mistakes that you didn't make.
Luna: We are all behind you Yusei.
Crow: You can beat the darkness within yourself.
Yusei's dark apparition looked at the enveloped Yusei seeing a bright light from Yusei's arm.
Luna: We're with you Yusei.
Crow: You can do this!
Jack: If you can defeat me than this is nothing for you.
Akiza: You saved me from my darkness, now save yourself from yours.
The darkness in Yusei's mind began to vanish and he heard one final voice.
Leo: Go be a hero Yusei. I'm sorry.
Yusei's mind then purged the darkness and guilt from him shattering the darkness enveloping him startling his dark apparition. Finally having a clear mind he smirked.
Yusei: I tune mimic warrior and Stardust dragon.
To the shock of Yusei's dark apparition the two synchronized together.
Yusei: Lets rev it up! Dreams crystallize to open a new door of evolution, become the path that lights the way! ACCELL SYNCHRO! SHOOTING STAR DRAGON RISE!

Yusei could feel his dark apparition glare at him through it's mask.
Dark Yusei: Oh how cliché! I guess friendship really is the key to defeating Leo. HOW MANY TIMES TO I HAVE TO BEAT YOU DOWN IN ORDER FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND THAT I AM STRONGER.
Yusei: You could never understand the bonds I have with my friends and I do not expect a demon like you to understand it at all. They will continue to believe in me no matter how hopeless the situation gets! They give me hope in my darkest hours!
Yusei saw his dark apparition's eye twitch through his mask.
Dark Yusei: Oh friendship is the ultimate weapon, I GUESS YOU WON'T BE NEEDING SHOOTING STAR DRAGON THEN! I ACTIVATE THE TRAP CARD ENDLESS WRATH FROM MY HAND! If you special summoned a monster equal the level of mine then I am permitted to activate this from my hand, your monster is banished and you take 500 damage!
Yusei saw shooting star dragon begin to crack, to the shock of his dark apparition Yusei smirked.
Yusei: As long as I have something to believe in I will fight! No matter how bleak it is, as long as there's hope then I will never surrender!
Dark Yusei: So you think your hope will win you this?
Yusei: That's exactly what it'll do! I activate the quick play spell ties of hope! When an effect activates that targets a synchro monster I control the effect is negated!
Dark Yusei: WHAT!
Yusei: Furthermore I can draw a card and if it's a tuner I can summon it.
Yusei closed his eyes and he thought of the voices telling him to keep fighting. The card on the top of his deck began to glow.
Yusei: I DRAW!
He took a look at the card, majestic dragon. Was this the key to defeating the darkness? It was time to find out.
Yusei: Due to ties of hope I special summon majestic dragon!

Dark Yusei: What are you planning to do?
Yusei: I tune majestic dragon with shooting star dragon!
The two monsters synchronized together and shined forth a massive light.
Yusei: Let the dreams of all come together and merge into a creature that will purge the darkness and pave the road of light! BE BORN, MAJESTIC SHOOTING STAR DRAGON!

Yusei: I activate shooting majestic star dragon's effect. For every synchro monster in my graveyard It can attack again so it can make four attacks! GO MAJESTIC SHOOTING STAR DRAGON! SHOOTING STAR CRUSH!
Dark Yusei: AAAUUUUGGGHHHHHH!
(Yusei: 1000-Dark Yusei: 0)
The tengu demon mask on Yusei's dark half shattered and the dark apparition vanished. Yusei then saw a light shine a few meters away from him. He then heard a angry roar from behind him.
The primal being: I AM NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!
Yusei turn and saw the eldrich horror he saw before floating towards him and Yusei bolted as fast as he could towards the light. Yusei barley made it to the portal and he turned and he saw the the primal being trying to break into wherever he was but the portal wouldn't allow it. The portal closed and he saw that he was on a staircase. He looked below and he saw various duel spirits on land below the staircase. Yusei knew this place, it was the spirit world. Luna described it to him before and what he saw perfectly fit the bill. He felt something in him compel himself to go up the staircase. He continued to walk up it and he saw a massive sanctuary in front of him. The gates then opened and he walked into the sanctuary.
?: Greetings.
Yusei quickly turned and saw a monster spirit, he recognized him as it was Archlord Krista, a powerful card in the game.
Yusei: Oh, um. Hi, I-I'm-
Krista: Yusei Fudo. I know who you are.
Yusei: You do?
Krista: Of course we do, you are famous in the spirit world for you stopped the king of the netherworld.
Yusei: Oh, um. Thanks.
Krista: I sense confusion in you, you wonder why you're here rather than your world, correct?
Yusei: Yeah.
Krista: The answer is simple, it's because I went against my master's oath and saved you.
Yusei: Oh.
An idea came to Yusei's head, maybe if he could recruit whoever Krista's master is then maybe they can stop the primal being.
Yusei: Can I ask for a favor?
Krista: Sure.
Yusei: I would like to speak to your master.
Krista: Very well. But not now, the master is busy. I'll come for you when the master is willing to speak. Feel free to wander around until that time comes.
*With Leo*
Leo was awaiting the return of his servants, after a while his servants opened the door and entered the room.
Dark king of the abyss: Good news.
Dark signer Leo: What?
Goblin of greed: Well, we took care of the spirits, matter of fact those blokes actually can't do anything.
Dark signer Leo: Go on.
Goblin of greed: While we were in there I overheard a conversation of two duel spirits, they can't heal the crimson dragon as it is a plague they've never seen before.
Dark signer Leo: Good, that's-
Dimension shifter: Well, almost all of them. We couldn't find dian keto, the cure master.
Leo began to grow concerned. Dian keto was the greatest healer of all the spirit world, he knew that if there was any possibility of finding a cure to the plague he's causing she would be the one who finds it.
Dark signer Leo: Hmm, unfortunate.
Brron, mad king of dark world: Well, it's only one duel spirit and she doesn't have help.
Leo decided he can focus on dian keto later, right now he needed focus his attention right now on the signers. And he had an idea on how to better combat them.
Dark signer Leo: Dian keto can wait. Right now, I'm going to help you get your revenge on the signers.
Dark king of the abyss: Okay then, let-
Dark signer Leo: Hold on, you should know that some of the signers here duel a little differently.
Dimension shifter: How so?
Dark signer Leo: Some of them prefer to, well how do I put this, duel on their motorcycles.
The duel spirits looked at Leo in confusion.
Grim reaper: What?
Dark signer Leo: They duel on their bikes, so I will help you all fight on their own terms. I am going to teach you how to turbo duel.
*Luna's mansion*
Luna's parents went to bed but the signers stayed up. They needed to figure out how to stop Leo. As they were talking their marks began to weakly pulsate.
Jack: *Cough* What now?
Crow: Obviously someone's coming.
Luna: Could it be Leo?
Jack: Only one way to find out.
The signers looked outside and saw Sayer, beaten and bruised with black liquid leaking from his clothes. He was just staring at the house. Jack immediately got his duel disk and began to walk towards the exit.
Crow: Jack what are you doing?
Jack: Obviously this guy isn't here to deliver us fried chicken!
Luna: Don't you think it's a trap?
Jack: It doesn't look like it. However you could be right, you two stay here while I duel him.
Crow then grabbed his duel disk and then tossed Luna her duel disk.
Crow: We're coming with you. You never know if you may need backup.
Jack: Fine.
The three then exited and approached Sayer.
Jack: What do you want?
Sayer just stared blankly at the group and activated his duel disk.
Luna: Something's not right
Jack: Right or not, I'm still taking him on.
(Jack: 4000-Sayer: 4000)
Jack: I'm going first! *Draws card* since I control no monsters I can special summon vice dragon though it's points are halved.

Jack: I now activate red dragon vase, now since I control a red dragon archfiend I can draw two cards. I now set a card and end my turn.
Sayer: Draw, I summon mystic tomato in defense mode.

Sayer: I now activate activate the continuous spell the dark door, now only one monster can attack per turn. I now set this card and end my turn.
Jack: That's it? *Draws card* So what if only one monster can attack I'll still crush you! I summon red phantom!
Red phantom level 4

Jack: When red phantom is summoned when I control a synchro monster I can target a synchro monster and It'll now be able to deal piercing damage! Red dragon archfiend attack!
Sayer: I activate my trap damage pot. The damage I receive is transferred into the pot.
Jack: But mystic tomato is still destroyed.
Sayer: Mystic tomato's effect can special summon one dark monster with 1500 or less attack points from my deck when it's destroyed in battle. I'll call forth another mystic tomato.

Sayer: Also due to dark corridor your red phantom cannot attack me and due to your red dragon's effect it'll be destroyed since it didn't attack.
Jack: So what if it is. I will still be able to beat you.
Sayer: You said the same thing about Leo and you failed, and as a result you couldn't save your little girlfriend.
Jack: Grr *Sets two cards* I end my turn!
