Chapter 16: Shell of a beast/In the eyes of the beholder
Sayer: *Draws card* I summon viser des in defense mode.

Sayer: Due to Viser des's effect it equips itself to a monster of yours, in three turns it's automatically destroyed and you can't use it for synchro of fusion summons, also it cannot be destroyed battle or card effects as long as it's equipped to a monster. I'll equip to to red dragon archfiend.
Jack: Grr.
Sayer: I'll also set two cards and switch mystic tomato into defenese mode and end my turn.
Jack: I draw! I'll summon torturer fiend!

Jack: Torturer fiend has a unique effect, twice per turn whenever I activate a spell or trap card that deals you damage I can set a card with the exact same name directly from my deck. I'll activate hinotama dealing you 500 points of damage.

Sayer: ...
Jack: Now then torturer fiend lets me set another one directly from my deck, and since it's a spell I can activate it dealing you damage!
(Jack: 4000-Sayer: 3000)
Jack: I'll use it's effect again to set another hinotama directly from my deck and like before I'll activate it dealing you damage!
(Jack: 4000-Sayer: 2500)
Jack: I now attack mystic tomato with torturer fiend!
Sayer: I'll use mystic tomato's effect to summon another mystic tomato.

Jack knew Sayer or whatever was left of him was planning something. He needed to be prepared for it.
Jack: I set two cards and end my turn.
Sayer: *Draws card* I play the trap card fiendish union. I can special summon a fiend monster directly from my hand. I'll summon sangan.

Jack began noticed Sayer turning more pale and the black liquid leaking from Sayer begging to drip faster. Also their marks although weakened signaled them that they were in danger.
Sayer: I now tribute both of my monsters to summon necrosis immortal Ccapac apu!

The ground began to shake as the immortal rose up from beneath them. The signers noticed that the immortal looked different. It's glow was almost nonexistent, one of it's arms was missing along with various chunks of it, the immortal also had a hole in it's skull. Luna however noticed something else, when she first faced the earthbound immortals she could sense the evil within them but now she couldn't sense anything, it was as if Leo ripped the soul from the immortal and what stood before them was the partially decomposed shell that once housed it's soul.
Crow: W-what the hell!
Luna: B-but that's impossible. Leo absorbed Ccapac apu he shouldn't be able to have it!
Jack stared down at the zombified immortal, although powerful Jack was determined to still win this duel.
Jack: So that's your boss monster. Lets see what it can do.
Sayer: I attack torturer fiend with Ccapac apu.
(Jack: 2700-Sayer: 2500)
Jack: Grr. I though earthbound immortals could attack directly.
Sayer: These aren't earthbound immortals, these are necrosis immortals. They lose their direct attack ability but in it's place is this effect, when you take battle damage from it you will take 500 damage during my next two end phases. So in other words in two turns you will be down 1000 life points.
Jack: Grr.
Sayer: Also in your next turn viser des will destroy your dragon.
Jack knew he was in trouble, not only did Sayer get a powerful boss monster but now he's also going to take damage and lose his red dragon.
Sayer: I end my turn, now due to my necrosis immortal's effect you will take 500 damage.
(Jack: 2200-Sayer: 2500)
Jack: Well then it's my turn! *Draws card*
Sayer: Viser des's effect destroys your monster.
Jack watched as his monster got destroyed but then he noticed something, The black liquid from Sayer began to flow faster. Jack began to theorize that this immortal was slowly killing Sayer, after all Leo told them how Sayer almost killed him and from the looks of it Leo was slowly torturing him with a monster that is essentially absorbing his remaining life essence. Jack began to consider his options, he could wait until the immortal kills Sayer getting the victory by default but then again he didn't know how long exactly it would take for the immortal to kill Sayer or if the immortal was actually killing him. The other option obviously would be to continue the duel and attempt to defeat Sayer and this new immortal. And of course seeing how the first option was still not guaranteed Jack decided to continue,
*The sanctuary in the sky*
Yusei was walking around a library. The sheer scale of the library here dumbfounded him as entire shelves of books seemed to go on for miles each book looking as if it held answers to many questions people had. Yusei began to chat with a librarian and as he was chatting he felt something. He didn't know what but it felt as if something was calling to him.
Sanctuary librarian: Is something wrong Yusei?
Yusei: N-no it's fine, um thanks for your time.
Sanctuary librarian: You're welcome Yusei.
The librarian walked off and Yusei walked towards where he felt that feeling. The feeling led him deeper into the library to where the shelves began to grow more barren and an eerie chill began to creep up Yusei's spine. But he couldn't help it. It was as if he was so close to where this feeling was pointing him towards. Eventually he reached the back of the library. There were no books on the shelves but Yusei saw something, he noticed one of the shelves slightly out of place looking as if it was in front of a small room. His curiosity getting the better of him Yusei moved the shelf and entered the room. The room itself looked nice but what piqued Yusei's interest was a book, a book that was in the center of the room. Yusei walked to the book and opened it to a random page. The page he turned to revealed something to Yusei. It was information about the primal being.
Yusei: What? I just flipped this to a random page.
Yusei began to read the book, he discovered that the primal being was a creation of something, whatever it was it's name was it was completely scratched out of the page. Yusei's intrest was piqued, maybe the primal being wasn't the real threat maybe it's his creator. Yusei began to go deeper into the book searching for anything, he found a lot of information about the primal being, it's nature and it's goals. Yusei read about how it created an egg that would hatch a harbinger of death to impress it's creator but since he placed the egg near the ancient spirit tree of where many pure duel spirits were created it purified death stream into life stream this of course angered the primal being's creator and he demanded that he rectify it thus leading to a war where the crimson dragon and king of the netherworld joined forces to attempt to stop the primal being. However their reason for victory was due to life stream tricking the primal being and sealing it away. Yusei was impressed by what he found but ever since he learned about the pirmal being's creator he couldn't help but wonder what the hell it was. No matter where he looked the name was scratched out as if it was unholy to even utter it's name. Yusei than had an idea. Yusei got to the page of where he learned about the primal being by randomly opening the book with questions about the primal being in his mind. He began to wonder if maybe it would do the same if he would find out. Yusei closed the book and opened it again. What he turned to were burnt pages but could still make out the words. He read about a being who's power threatened all of reality and if unleashed could potentially end all of existence. As Yusei began to delve deeper he could help but feel a sense of dread and paranoia as if something was behind him. More and more he read about this creature's power the more it horrified Yusei as this thing would make the primal being, the crimson dragon and the king of the netherworld look like dead ants compared to it. Yusei began to read more and at long last he saw the name of the creator. As he continued reading he heard someone coming. Yusei then immediately hid the book behind him. He then saw Archlord krystia walk in.
Yusei: Oh um hey. Sorry I just wandered in here.
Krystia: Oh it's no issue, newcomers tend to wander around.
Yusei: Oh um I've been reading some books and I want to ask you a question.
Krystia: Go ahead, ask away.
Yusei: Um who- erm, who is moringsta-
Almost immediately the angel's expression turned into one of fear and anger.
Krysta: SSHHHHH! Don't say his name out loud.
Yusei was taken aback by the spirit's sudden hostility.
Krystia: Tell me Yusei, have you ever read the bible.
Yusei: Um yes.
Krystia: Then tell me this, what do you know about Adam's fall?
Yusei: The fruit.
Krystia: Yes and that's all you need to know about this creature.
Yusei: No, that thing created the primal being and if he and Leo is currently the threat we're facing that the "creature" is probably not far behind! I need to know how to fight it.
Krystia: You can't be serious Yusei, you and your signers may have a sliver a chance against the primal being, but if you're thinking of facing this scarlet demon then you have overestimated your capabilities by a large amount. I know you've read the forbidden scripture and I won't tell my master. But here's the thing you must know. Your best chance is to defeat the primal being and pray with all your sould that it doesn't piss HIM off enough to begin plotting against you.
Yusei: Isn't he already doing that?
Krystia: No, the demon of scarlet who we'll name the first darklord is currently bound in the deepest pits of darkworld where he reigns supreme. His main goal is to unbind himself and destroy this sanctuary. If you piss him off enough to have your dimension on his radar rather than the sanctuary then your world is already gone. Now go, the master is awaiting you.
Yusei nodded and began to walk out of the library and krystia ran to the book, he looked at the page that Yusei was reading and breathed a sigh of relief seeing as Yusei didn't go to the final page of the book. As Yusei was walking he saw two knights come towards him and they beckoned him to come with them. Yusei complied and went with the two knights, the group then approached a golden gate, Yusei began to walk through it but noticed the knights didn't follow.
Yusei: Um, are you guys coming.
The knights didn't respond and Yusei presumed that their silence meant no. He began to walk forward and he saw a massive golden throne with a being on it shining brighter than the sun, Yusei began to shield his eyes to when he heard footsteps coming towards him. He looked and saw the being walk down the stairs to his throne, with every step he took the brightness began to fade, as the brightness completely faded Yusei could see that the master was an old, robed, bearded man. The same one that appeared on the solemn cards. The old man walked towards Yusei with a smile on his face.
The first Archlord: Good evening Yusei Fudo, come with me. We have a lot to talk about.
