Just one breath
Her eyes fluttered, and instantly her body hurt.
"Be still," She heard Sesshomaru,
"What happened,"
"You fainted,"
"What?" God, her head hurt.
"Your body is adjusting to the jewel," He handed her a cup; her vision was still off; he was blurry.
"Where are we," She asked, taking a sip of water. "How long was I out,"
"A day and we are at the moon palace,"
Kagome spits out her water, and her vision clears.
"Now that is unbecoming," His mother walked in.
The room was white but filled with magic lights, lavender fabrics, and beautiful flowers. "I told them I'd meet them back at the village,"
"I sent the imp," His mother stated,
"I'm not sure that was a good idea either," She said, sitting all the way up. Everything hurt.
"Miko, you will rest, but we will talk,"
Kagome looked between mother and son.
"Will you aid me and the Lord, dog demon?"
Kagome looked at her water. In a way, she felt like she owed the dead man. "Can I talk to Sesshomaru?"
"If that is what you wish, I will wait a few hours longer for your answer,"
With that, she was gone.
"Why did you not deny her?"
"Is that really want you want?" Her voice was calm, "It's your father,"
As if he cared.
"Sesshomaru,"
He looks away,
"Do you truly not want to see him again,"
"The dead should stay dead,"
The air shifted, and he looked back at her.
"That's pretty hypocritical of you to say, seeing as how you are now a father to a once dead human child, Sesshomaru,"
He did not like her tone, but she was right.
"That's not how you really feel; I thought you said you dont lie,"
"He should remain dead,"
"Wow," She let out a tired breath, "What I wouldn't give to have my father back,"
"Our fathers are not the same woman,"
Kagome sat the cup down and stood.
"Where are you going? You are still weak,"
"Home, and dont call me weak,"
"You do not have a home,"
"Thanks for pointing that out; I'm going to the village,"
"What will you tell my mother,"
"Well, I was hoping for your advice, but I can see where that's going, nowhere,"
"Kagome,"
Every time he said her name, it stole a peice of her breath, why she didn't know. She stopped, damn him.
"What," She didnt look back at him.
