Praying the powerhouse members of the Neo-Sailor Senshi had only been captured and not swallowed alive. Chibiusa and Jewel decided to mix and match who they had left into two teams for missions. Christen, Ariel, Ivy, and "Shadow" will be one team whose primary job is safeguarding Jewel.
The other team: Gracie, Crystal, Star, and Dawn, are to defend Chibiusa. Unlike their tender-hearted and gentle-spirited teammates? Jewel's team craved excitement! One day, "Shadow" mentioned she wanted to see a rumored demonic gateway; reports of this gateway are so rare that it is considered a tall tale and nothing more.
"Finding it might cost you your life!" Chibiusa forewarned.
"I'm not going to go in or anything. I want to see it! I'm so bored sitting around here doing nothing!" "Shadow," grumbled.
"I'm with her!" Christen bolted up from lounging on her bed.
"With my magic, we should be fine." Jewel attempted to soothe her sister's anxious concerns for them.
"Even with magic, we should know what we're getting into and develop a plan if something goes awry," Ariel recommended.
"Like something ALWAYS goes wrong?" Christen sardonically stated that things in Sailor Moon ALWAYS get more ominous before they get more pleasing.
"Like a Wendigo!" Ariel snapped, and a silent tension filled the chamber.
"Hey, girls…Let us stop being so afraid of discussing dangerous monsters." Gracie spoke up, and the tension left the room as the other girls sighed, agreeing.
Despite consenting to converse regarding the Wendigos more willingly was not the wisest option as talking about them made them more powerful and able to attack you. However, the same was said concerning the Skinwalkers, and they got through that, right?
Plus, Jewel's group was more interested in 'sight-seeing' anyhow. After Ariel did some research, including where this gate thing was. Then the 5-some transformed and set off. Neo-Sailor Mars was about to light her flames when it got dark until Neo-Sailor Jupiter stopped her.
"Save your strength; you are our only weapon," the Karate Soldier of Thunder reminded her.
In response, the raven-haired goth merely nodded. It did not take long to get to the tunnel where the gateway formed. Except it appeared there was already a pair there! The girls covered their mouths to stop gasping and stood as still as statues.
A wendigo crawled out of the tunnel, followed by a grotesque creature with two heads, horns, and bat ears. It furthermore harbored wings, fangs, snake-like tongues, and spear-tipped tails. Lastly, feathers cover its half-green and half-red body!
It reminded Sailor Universe and Sailor Earth of Two-Bad, a minor villain character they watched in He-Man and Masters Of The Universe (Ariel and Christen tuned in and out.) However, this demon did not look as comical as Two-Bad did!
"Nice of you to agree to accompany me, Elwood." This Wendigo spoke, crackly and dry.
"You promised me the possibility of regaining my right as king, Nico," both heads spoke in unison, establishing they were of one mind.
"You will. The new king is a weak human, and I can smoothly dispose of any security who might try to prevent you." Was Nico talking about King Endymion and threatening the guards, including Chibiusa and the other girls?
"What? I'm certain he isn't Neo-Queen Serenity's biological father. How long ago could he have been king?" Sailor Eclipse pondered quietly.
"It must have been more than 1,000 years ago." Sailor Earth responded.
"What about the new Sailor Senshi? Not to mention the original ones and that damned queen with her Silver Crystal?" Elwood questioned.
"Why do you think I went through the trouble of gathering a handful of bargaining chips? If they attempt to attack you, I'll eradicate one of the brats." Nico chuckled.
"He must be referring to Holly, Alexis, Emily, and Trisha." Sailor Universe whispered in a grave tone. Neo-Sailor Mars's fists lit up as she was willing to slaughter to rescue her teammates!
"Mars, don't!" Neo-Sailor Jupiter hissed, then explained. "We shouldn't try taking both of them on. Instead, focus on the demon as he is the greater threat." The other girls nodded in agreement. As the girls prepared to move…
"Well, well, well, look at what we have here, Elwood! I knew I heard and smelled an unwelcome bunch of rats." Suddenly, Nico and Elwood jumped up in front of the girls!
"We wouldn't have to scurry around if you hadn't turned yourself into a cannibalistic son of a bitch!" "Shadow" swore. Nico snarled at her.
"Do we seriously have to learn telepathy and cover ourselves in crap, so you don't hear or smell us?!" Neo-Sailor Mars yelled.
"Even if you did, I would still be able to SEE you; my sight may not be enhanced. However, my eyes still work." Nico crossed his arms.
"Let me remedy that. Fireball!" Neo-Sailor Mars shot a fireball into Nico's face!
Sadly, Elwood pulled out a sword to dissipate the fireball by blocking it with the blade! Sailor Universe utilized her staff to combat Elwood's sword. Sailor Earth and Sailor Eclipse stood by Sailor Universe if she required assistance.
Neo-Sailor Mars and Neo-Sailor Jupiter faced Nico. He was dealt with efficiently as Neo-Sailor Mars knew she just had to roast him. Unknown to them, exterminating Nico was the most significant mistake!
"You wrenches have no idea the wrath you have just incurred! Now that I am free, I will gather the Wendigo's to amass an army and make you pay for interfering." Elwood shoved Jewel away from him.
"What makes you think we'll just let you escape?" Sailor Eclipse sneered.
"Even if you hinder me, I hold the lives of your companions in my hands as the Wendigos will slaughter them at my command. So, if you're feeling lucky? Then attack me at your leisure." Elwood spread his arms out in mock surrender.
Neo-Sailor Jupiter, Neo-Sailor Mars, Sailor Earth, and Sailor Eclipse waited for Sailor Universe's decision. Finally, stressed, Sailor Universe did something uncharacteristic for her: She roared in frustration…sounding just like her mother.
Unlike Queen Beryl: Sailor Universe shot her built-up energy in the opposite direction, unwilling to test a former demon king's control. The other girls disappointed her as they knew they would have to fight any army Elwood could gather now. Elwood smiled and walked off.
"Jewel…" Sailor Earth reached out to put a hand on her Princess's shoulder, but Sailor Universe shrugged her off.
"Don't, please. Let's go. We need everyone to find our friends." Sailor Universe said in a run-down and broken tone.
Without a word, Neo-Sailor Jupiter and Neo-Sailor Mars tiara gems glimmered, letting the other Neo-Sailor Senshi know they were needed immediately. But unfortunately, Sailor Earth, Sailor Eclipse, and Sailor Universe had not learned how to use their tiara gems like that yet.
