Rushing toward the Crystal Palace, it looked like Elwood had no trouble getting in as the more unlucky guards had been partially eaten, starting with the neck, which, the moment the spine was severed, killed them instantly!
"Are we too late?!" Neo-Sailor Moon tried not to scream in disgust from the carnage around her.
"I don't hear anything inside. So maybe the King and Queen don't know what's happening yet?" Neo-Sailor Venus reasoned as she had her ear pressed up against the wall where the Throne Room was on the other side.
"Let's inform them before Elwood does!" This is one of those rare occasions where no one disagreed with Neo-Sailor Mars.
Neo-Sailor Jupiter, Neo-Sailor Pluto, and the Dark Kingdom Sailor Senshi, minus Sailor Earth and Sailor Universe, noticed Neo-Sailor Mars looked a bit out-of-sorts. Still, she needed to be in fighting fit for this upcoming battle! Passing through many doors and hallways only revealed more and more mutilated bodies, but it seemed the Wendigos had convinced some inhabitants to cannibalize each other! Neo-Sailor Moon almost could not take it anymore until a familiar, welcome, cute, calming voice chirped.
"Neo-Sailor Moon!" Diana came scampering up to the pink-themed Princess.
Luna, Artemis, Comet, Asteroid, and Elizabeth were not far behind to calm the other girls. Calm did not last long, though, when the girls heard swords clashing ahead and the royal couple yelling!
"Mom?! Dad?!" Neo-Sailor Moon cried as the girls renewed their speed to the Throne Room.
Shockingly, they found King Endymion fighting Elwood as Neo-Queen Serenity, and her Sailor Senshi battled the entire Wendigo army…and they were losing! So, glancing at their teams, Neo-Sailor Moon and Sailor Universe decided to turn up the heat!
"Holy Stone Sword!" Neo-Sailor Venus slammed her blade into the ground.
Unknown to how this helped, Neo-Sailor Venus's tiara gem sparkled, and golden flames erupted outwards from where the sword made contact with the ground, killing the Wendigos that had dashed to surround her!
"Aqua Harp!" Neo-Sailor Mercury's gem glowed, and she plucked the strings of her harp, which did send out powerful ribbons of water, but it was scalding the Wendigos around her!
"Flaming Triangles!" Neo-Sailor Mars tiara gem lit up to make this weak attack as destructive as her Flame Bow and Arrow!
Neo-Sailor Mars used this attack because it dealt with multiple enemies.
"Oak Leaf Wave!" Neo-Sailor Jupiter gem shined as her leaves appeared to be encased in fire but worked the same way!
"Space Sword Bazooka!" Neo-Sailor Uranus's gem sparked, and she was surprised when the blast that usually came from the tip of her sword looked more like a flamethrower!
"Tsunami Rush!" Neo-Sailor Neputune's gem shimmered as her Deep Seas Crystal Mirror sent out a hazy mist of heat, but it did the job of defeating her enemies!
"Death Reborn Revolution!" Carefully and with her gem radiating, Neo-Sailor Saturn swung her glaive sideways as she did not want to end all existence, but she knew this attack would do it!
"Dead Whisper…" Neo-Sailor Pluto joined with Neo-Sailor Saturn's show with her gem gleaming, and it finished off the Wendigos.
Neo-Sailor Moon, Sailor Universe, and the Dark Kingdom Senshi defended King Endymion. Using Moonlight Harmony Glow, Ribbon Heart Scepter, and attacks the Dark Kingdom Sailor Senshi inherited from their parents, they wounded Elwood enough to force him to flee back to the gateway! As Neo-Sailor Moon checked on her parents' conditions, Neo-Sailor Mars de-transformed and collapsed!
"CHRISTEN!" Neo-Sailor Moon screamed in concern.
"Do not fret, my daughter. Christen is just exhausted. You may not realize it, but she did a wonderful thing: Did you notice how all your attacks included fire? Normally, you would be unable to summon that, but Christen knew that it was the only element able to defeat the Wendigos. Hence, she transferred some of her energy to each of you through your tiara gems. But, unfortunately, neither of your teams has learned how to use the Sailor Planet Attack yet." Neo-Queen Serenity explained.
The Neo-Sailor Senshi de-transform and try to hold Christen up so Rei and Chad can help her to bed. The girls murmured, "Thank you, Christen," as she was led away, but she managed to give them one, last, little, weak smile.
"My queen, where is my mother? I must speak with her." Jewel asked.
" What do you need to speak to me about?" Beryl walked in with her clothes ripped and some scratches on her arms and legs. Otherwise, she appeared fine.
"I spent my entire time in this century trying to differentiate myself from you…but I realized…no matter how much you disapprove of me or how much I wish I were more like my father…the blood in my veins will still be part of yours." Jewel stated.
"When you were little, you wanted nothing more than to be just like me." Beryl talked down to her daughter.
"I didn't know any better!" Jewel snapped.
Suddenly, soft music flowed through the Palace. Surprisingly, the music led the crowd to the Blue Room! Neo-Queen Serenity and Chibiusa smiled, realizing this meant Queen Oki and Princess Orca were trying to arrive! Neo-Queen Serenity placed a strange flower on the water. The flower glittered and sank beneath the water when it reached a specific spot.
For a few moments, nothing happened, then all of sudden the water glowed and took on the shape of the flower itself! A large, golden seashell, pulled by a pair of dolphins, emerged when it bloomed. The dolphins swam close before they stopped. They did some show of bowing and thanks and swam little ways out before disappearing, and the shell opened to reveal Queen Oki and Princess Orca! Once they stepped out of the water, their tails and clothes changed to legs and formal attire.
Following them was a group of 8 mermaids. Jewel recognized one as Lucy, so these must be the Aqua Senshi! Queen Oki and Neo-Queen Serenity hugged Chibiusa and Orca began to talk excitedly. Thanks to the Aqua Senshi, the girls realized with shock the reason for the visit was today was the day Crystal Tokyo celebrates Neo-Queen Serenity's rule! Unfortunately, their fight with the Wendigos had made them completely forget today's date! As they left the room, the Neo-Sailor Senshi, including Chibiusa, raced to get into more appropriate attire, this left Princess Orca time to get to know Jewel.
"You must be Princess Jewel of the Dark Kingdom. Chibiusa told me so many good things about you. It's nice to meet you finally." Orca smiled sweetly.
"It's a pleasure to meet you too, your highness." Jewel curtsied. "You can call me Jewel since the Dark Kingdom no longer exists. I'm glad Chibiusa had only good things to say about me."
Orca laughed, "You don't need to be so formal with me either. Just call me Orca."
Orca and Jewel decided to become fast friends when Orca found out Jewel and her Dark Kingdom Generals are Sailor Senshi too! Jewel told Orca all about their battle with the Wendigos and Elwood.
"Oh my! That sounds awful; you and your teammates are as noble and brave as my faithful Aqua Senshi. I want to give the 5 of you a gift for facing and defeating such a nightmare. You earned it." Orca granted Jewel and her Dark Kingdom Sailor Senshi the power to turn into mermaids!
Star's tail is silver, Ivy's tail is teal, Dawn's tail is gold, and "Shadow's" tail is gray! However, the most magnificent is Jewel's tail: As she did not have a decisive color, her tail's scales sparkled like the seven colors of the rainbow, depending on how the light hit it! To Jewel's slight disappointment, Orca's power would not work on Beryl as her powers did not affect those with darkness in their hearts, not that Beryl cared to be a "silly fish" anyway. When Chibiusa and her Neo-Sailor Senshi walked back in, they could not help admiring Jewel and the Dark Kingdom Sailor Senshi as mermaids! Sadly, they could not stay mermaids for long as the ceremony was about to begin!
"Let me help clean things up first. Reborn Revolution!" Emily transformed into Neo-Sailor Saturn and used her glaive in a new way. She had learned to repair destruction and even heal fatal wounds inflicted in battle if the person was still alive.
She could not raise the dead; their life force was returned to the planet as they faded away…As Neo-Queen Serenity gave her speech of peace and respect to her guardians, their children, and new inhabitants of the Crystal Palace.
Orca looked worriedly over to the ocean: Something was not right, but it would take time before whatever was stirring came to light. A feast and well-deserved celebration were taking place, and she wanted everyone to enjoy it.
