"Isn't this cool? We're like real heroes!" Merrily, Mirio gushes as she and him are in their hero attire, doing their daily round around the city.

"I suppose." Sayako grumbles, glancing to the side, feeling the sharp sting to her cheek, her tongue teasingly touching the ruby red slit in her inner cheek.

"Come on we should celebrate this is your first time doing this sort of thing and you to get Sir Nighteye to agree is a feat in itself." Amazed, Mirio has his hands on his hips.

"You're not wrong, I think I can still taste a bit of blood spits to the side." Scowling, Sayako spits out some ruby red, grimacing, tasting nothing but iron as she cradles her sore cheek.

"Heh yeah, still that was so cool, you were like there and then and then…" Animatedly, Mirio gushes grinning, beaming brightly.

"Mirio chill." Sayako sighs at him.

"Sorry, I just knew you were special!" Smiling, he drapes his arm over her shoulder.

"Could you stop that?" Tensely, she gently pries the muscular arm off her.

"What?" Curious, Mirio quirks his head to the side.

"The praise thing it's weird." Sayako states.

"Who doesn't love a compliment?" Mirio argues making Sayako furrow her brow.

"I just don't understand how you can be this way…" Stunned, Sayako confesses to Mirio gesturing to him.

"Well…when you have a quirk like mine you had to think optimistically besides its how I grew up you know? You get stuff from you parents. Not to mention as a hero you're meant to protect the people, keep them calm being a negative nancy won't help." Mirio shrugs his shoulders.

"I suppose…." Sayako considers trailing off uncertain.

"I'm guessing your parents were negative nancies." Mischievously, Mirio winks at Sayako chuckling.

"You could say that…" Sayako whispers furrowing her brow at the thought of them.

"Come on let me treat you. I insist. I know just the place." Eagerly, Mirio offers making Sayako sigh.

"Fine." Tiredly, Sayako slumps her shoulders, complying as she follows him, feeling her stomach sickly whimper when seeing the sweets shop they walk into, feeling the sickening sensation coursing through her veins, double tenfold when seeing couples slurp smoothies together, feed one another desserts while others converse with one another.

"Right….this looks nice. Just quick question why are we sharing one!?" Scowling, Sayako tries to be optimistic despite the sickly pink all over the place, hating every single shade of pink the shop seems to want to shove down your throat.

"Because we get more then! Don't you want a ship?" Happily, Mirio reveals as Sayako's eye twitches, the only reason she came here was because it was free, you don't say no to free food.

"You…really don't care how this looks do you?" Sayako exclaims, a part of her impressed, she acted like she didn't care a lot what people thought but deep down she did, she always did.

"Who cares what people think right?" Mirio smiles softly at her.

"I guess…hey before when you said about your quirk what did you mean?" Intrigued, Sayako asks him.

"Oh that…well being a hero has always been my dream, but I was never good at using it back then. People would laugh when I'd phrase through wrong, when I phase fully I enter this dark black. I can't see breath, all I can do is look up towards the light…" Meekly, Mirio smiles surprising Sayako when seeing his sheepish smile as he shyly scratches the back of his head.

"So…you die?" Bluntly, Sayako deadpans making Mirio freeze from the comparison.

"Heh, I guess you could say that. Sometimes I get scared I'm going to reach up in time you know?" Sadly, Mirio smiles.

"Like drowning…" Sayako whispers furrowing her brow at the thought, she always feared drowning above all else, seeing nothing but pitch blackness, feeling her slowly lose breath beginning to slowly suffocate if a shark or some sort of creature hadn't pitied her and given her mercy.

"Yeah… It can be scary sometimes yeah but I just remember thinking I have people waiting for me you know?" Mirio smiles sadly revealing his fist forcing a smile upon his lips, trying to be optimistic bringing a small smile to Sayako's lips at his attempt.

"I know." Sayako nods her head in understanding her thoughts drifting to Hikaru.

"So I got to ask, what's with your hair?" Mirio asks snapping her out of her thoughts.

"My hair?" Sayako exclaims gingerly touching the strand of brown with hints of yellow.

"Yeah, I mean…" Mirio trails off as she twirls her stray strand of brownish blonde.

"It looks like a mess right?" Strained, Sayako smiles.

"Well I mean were your forced to dye it or…" Togata trails off.

"I wasn't exactly forced I mean I had some teachers who told me to dye my hair even when I proved it was my real hair colour but I did this mainly for myself." Sayako explains to Mirio.

"For you?" Mirio arches a brow.

"Yeah…during that time, a lot happened and well whenever I looked at myself, I'd see someone I hated and I couldn't handle it anymore and with the teachers nagging at me to dye it I did. I didn't know how to do it but I did it with my little brother and this is what happened. Heh, the look on the teachers face from my half assed attempt was hilarious." Fondly, Sayako smiles at the memory crossing her arms over her chest.

"Oh I was wondering I mean I got the same lecture myself when I had a ponytail." Mirio tells her.

"You had a ponytail?" Stunned, Sayako smirks amused.

"Yeah weird right?" Shyly, Mirio smiles.

"The quiff is better." Sayako offers.

"Thanks…now come on take a sip." Mirio insists making Sayako grimace glancing down at the strawberry milkshake.

"Look Togata I'm not really a sweets fan." Uncomfortable, she grimaces at the sight.

"Just give it a try pretty please!" Mirio smiles.

"Fine…" Sayako sighs slumping her shoulders as she leans over taking a small sip of the drink only then to feel a wave of disgust flow through her from the sickly-sweet taste.

"Well…? Are you…Sayako?" Concerned, Togata's beady blue widen when watching the sickly green hue appear on Sayako's facial features. She slams her hand over her mouth, her body shaking, shuddering from it as she jolts up from her chair where Togata watches on concerned. She darts outside towards the bin outside, spewing out her insides.

"I'm sorry I didn't think you'd hate sweet stuff that much." Mirio smiles apologetically at the slumped Sayako, spewing out her insides, heaving as she feels her fingertips claw against the bin, resting on it, steadying herself on it.

"It's fine not many do". Sayako sighs slumping her shoulders as she slowly stands using her hands flat on the bin to push herself off the bin, turning to Togata.

"Here." Mirio offers some water for her.

"Thanks. Sorry about that Mirio." Meekly, Sayako smiles shyly as she takes the bottle, removing the bottle lid.

"You can't help how you feel better out than in as I always say." Merrily, Mirio places his hands on his hips.

"Right…" Sayako sips her drink.

"Hey its getting to that time we promised to meet up with Sir Nighteye how about we get going?" Mirio suggests.

"Where were we meeting again?" Confused, Sayako furrows her brow.

"Don't worry I know it hey there's a sale maybe there's something you would want to buy." Optimistically, Mirio offers.

"I doubt it." Sayako scowls as they approach said shop seeing numerous amount of people crowding the place, practically smashing down against one another, clawing at one another, practically pouncing on another clawing at some strange all might merchandise, scenes like this unnerved her.

"Never hurt to take a peek." Positively, Mirio smiles.

"Yeah, yeah…" Sayako sighs as they see bubble girl waiting outside.

"Hey guys you made it!" Smiling, Bubble girl beams brightly at the two waving them over.

"Where's sir Nighteye?" Curious, Mirio asks her.

"Well there was some sort of special edition All might and he went a little…overboard." Shyly, Bubblegirl smiles scratching her cheek nervously.

"Of course he did." Sayako huffs.

"I think I'll join him what about you Sayako?" Mirio turns to her.

"You guys go on ahead." Sayako steps back, leaning against the iron railing fencing behind her, hearing the cars driving by.

"Are you sure?" Uncertain, Mirio asks her.

"Yeah, crowds aren't my thing." Tightly, she smiles waving them off.

"Right if I see anything that catches my eye I'll buy it for you!" Excitedly, Mirio winks at her making her sweat drop.

"Mirio don't. Urgh…can this day get any worse?" Feebly, she calls out but it falls to deaf ears as she sighs placing her hand on her head, watching on as he heads into the shop.

"The hell are you doing here?" Surprised, she jolts up at the voice turning to see Bakugo, scowling sharply when seeing his new hairstyle.

"Oh come on are you kidding me!? Now you listen?" Angrily, Sayako scowls glaring up at the sky.

"Who the hell are you talking to?" Boisterously, Bakugo demands from the scowling Sayako.

"None of your goddamn business." Bitterly, Sayako sneers at the sight of his haircut.

"You look like shit." Bakugo deadpans.

"And you look like shit all the time but I don't tell you." Aloofly, Sayako intervenes.

"Bastard ya wanna die!?" Angrily, Bakugo glares daggers at Sayako.

"Bakuago is this a friend of yours?" Surprised, Sayako jolts up at the voice, turning to…

"This is…" Bakugo begins as Sayako feels her fingertips flex around the railing, feeling a wave of bloodlust flow through her as she feels her muscles tense up wanting out.

"Weaver." Surprised, the trio jolt up at the voice turning to…

"Sir Nighteye did you find what you wanted?" Smoothly, Sayako turns to her saviour.

"You got an offer from All Might's sidekick!?" Bakugo bellows shocked.

"Yes I suppose some of us know how to pick actual heroes of quality not pompous pricks." Coldly, Sayako snaps looking over at her nails feeling the fury flow from Bakugo.

"That's enough Sayako come we should continue patrolling." Curtly, Sir Nighteye intervenes.

"Right…" Sayako sighs pushing herself off the railing.

"It was good to see you best Jeanist." Sir Nighteye turns to see the hero his greens glued upon Sayako who won't even bat an eye to him.

"As it was good to see you too Sir Nighteye." Calmly, Best Jeanist agrees, his greens lingering back on Sayako sadly as the two then leave.

"Did you know he was around?" Annoyed, Sayako shoved her hands into her pockets as they arrive at a park where the two sit down on the bench.

"His agency is in Tokyo just as mine was, a factor I had thought you considered." Sir Nighteye points out.

"Doesn't mean I'd actually bump into the ass. I take it you know the situation." Sighing, Sayako slumps her shoulders.

"I know of your lineage yes. But do you truly think being bitter is the best way to go about it?" Sir Nighteye furrows his brow.

"He acts as if I'm no one to him." Pained, Sayako exclaims hurt laced in her tone.

"And you're in the public eye." Sir Nighteye says.

"In the private eye I'm nothing until he feels obligated to come that's how he is." Bitterly, she seers glaring to the side.

"Have you heard of his side of the story?" Sir Nighteye proposes making her greens widen.

"And hear his bull please? I know how men like him are as soon as they reach stardom they can have whoever or whatever they want. They grow bored of the mundane of their family thinking they are holding him back so he ditches them without a care in the world, without any form of consequence." Seething, she snarls, poison oozing out of her tone.

"When Kazz first told me of his relationship with Best Jeanist I did not care." Sir Nighteye begins adjusting his lenses once more.

"You should have used your sight to warn him, he wouldn't be burdened as he is now." Sayako tells him.

"You truly think of your brother as a burden?" Nighteye exclaims making Sayako's eyes widen when hearing his words.

"Of course not I just….it's not fair." Frantically, she corrects herself before slumping her shoulders exasperated.

"Do you know how childish you sound right now? At the sprots festival you spoke of how Todoroki should forget the past to focus on being a hero shouldn't you do the same." Sir Nighteye exclaims coldly.

"I want to." Sayako argues feebly.

"Then what's stopping you?" Sir Nighteye questions.

"HIM. Always." Angrily, Sayako snarls.

"You should know when going into the hero business you will bump into him." Nighteye points out.

"That doesn't mean it doesn't hurt…" Huffing, she crosses her arms over her chest.

"Perhaps it would have been best for you to have gone to his agency desensitize yourself maybe even tell him how you feel, get it off your chest." Nighteye offers.

"I had thought that…" Sayako trails off.

"Then what stopped you?" Nighteye asks.

"Fear." Sayako whispers her voice cracking briefly making Nighteye's eyes soften sadly at her.

"Fear?" Gently, he whispers, a faint pang of sympathy for the girl.

"I…I knew Bakugo would go, we both had the same offer and I just…" Struggling, Sayako attempts to explain.

"You want to keep it a secret." Sir Nighteye concludes.

"I've kept it a secret throughout my life I can't just…" Sayako sighs.

"I may not be a man of much emotion but why shouldn't you write with a broken pencil?" Sir Nighteye asks Sayako taking her aback.

"What?" She blinks baffled.

"Because there's no point." He answers as a pregnant pause filters in the air, greens gazing into yellow before a small slip of a chuckle escapes Sayako's lips.

"…What was that!? Hahahahah!" Sayako places her hands flat on her eyes, her small snicker transforming into a full on cackle.

"There is no future in this society without humour and energy, we must make good of the little things in life no matter how small they are." Sir Nighteye informs Sayako her eyes widening when hearing his words.

"Heh…hahah…" Softly, Sayako smiles, releasing a small snicker bringing a small chuckle to Sir Nighteye from her contagious chuckle. The two remain seated on the bench, enjoying the peace between them both.

*What did you think of Sayako and Mirio?*
