Sniffling, the young baby girl whimpers, curling closers into the cocoon coiled around herself, denim draped over her form, creating a denim ball almost as she huddled in the wardrobe, the tears freely falling. Stubbornly, she tries to wipe away the tears, whimpering when remembering the report. The girl has her long blonde locks braided into braided pigtails, she has a green hairband on her, keeping her side fringe at bay, wearing a denim overall dress with a snow white long green striped sleeved shirt underneath, matching her snow white tights and green dolly shoes.
"I'm here to report that several heroes have fallen to this monster pro hero Best Jeanist and Surgeon has arrived on scene, Surgeon treating and evicting the people. But what's this a sudden collapse, Best Jeanist pushed Surgeon out of the way?!"
The announcer confesses stunned as the camera is glued on the sight before the young girl, gaping at the sight of her parents, standing tall and proud before the wreckage. Medics treating people while delivering some deathly blows with his gloved palms, sparks spewing out of the metal rings coiled around his fingertips, small spews leaping from one ring to the other. He strikes at the villains, pushing them back while Jeanist has the others trapped that is until his greens glance up at the crumbling sound of the ceiling above. Alarmed, he swings his wrist as both surgeon and the civilians are thrown out of harm's way, Surgeon screaming reaching out, calling out to Best Jeanist, his blurry blue looking at the fleeting figure soon being consumed by rock.
"Sayako? Sayako? Come on out honey? I made pancakes!" Startled, Sayako flinches from the voice of her aunt, clear concern laced in her tone as Sayako hears her heels click against the flat floor.
"What's going on?" Surprised, Sayako jolts up at the familiar voice of her father. Shyly, she turns towards the shut door of the wardrobe her hands flat on the door, peering through the crack of the wardrobe doors where she hears her fathers' voice releasing a wave of relief for the young girl.
"You're back great! It's Sayako I can't find her anywhere!" Relieved, Kiyoko confesses to Kazz and Best Jeanist.
"Were you playing hide or seek?" Curious, Kazz questions.
"You may want to search the ceiling." Calmly, Best Jeanist advises.
"How do I? What do you…?" Baffled, Kiyoko's eyes narrow.
"She's begun to cling to the corners of the wall, similar to a spider almost." Calmly, Best Jeanist explains to Kiyoko.
"No that's the thing she was watching TV while I was cooking next thing I know she's gone." Stressed, Kiyoko combs her fingertips through her red locks, clearly concerned for the young girl, who places her hands flat on the door only for her eyes to widen when feeling the door's restrain refusing her to leave, making her whimper. She releases a small sob as she dives down, burying herself further into the piles of denim before her, creating a nest of sorts, a small den for the small child.
"Right…" Tsunagu crosses his arms over his chest.
"You lost my daughter!?" Enraged Kazz shouts making Sayako flinch from her father's raised voice he never used it often but when he did…
"Kazz." Tentatively, Tsunagu places his hands on his husband's hunched over form, looking feral, ready to pounce.
"My baby girl!" Wailing, Kazz leans into his husband's arms who sighs sweat dropping, holding his husband.
"We'll find her." Softly, Tsunagu promises him as they begin their search.
"Sayako? Sayako? Come on sweetie its daddy! It's okay now! It's okay come on our sweetie, we can eat pancakes we can…" Optimistically, Kazz's voice offers only making Sayako whimper, trying with her all hardest to push the doors open but falter from the latch hanging above the oblivious girl, whose glassy green soon spill. Wailing, she begins hiccupping, crying out as she falls flat on her behind, she wants out, she wants her daddy, she doesn't like the dark, she wants daddy, she wants her daddies…!
"Found you." Sayako winces at the sudden spotlight upon her, her glassy greens gazing up into a pair of calm green.
"Daddy!" Sayako cries lunging at her father who happily holds his whimpering little girl, ignoring the stains smearing upon his denim simply holding his distressed little girl, gently guiding her over to his bed, placing her in his lap.
"Now why are you wasting such diamonds? Such diamonds can only sparkle on the most beautifulness of denim." Softly, he leans down wiping away the tears freely flowing from her.
"I…there was this mission. I thought…you were there a-and…" Stuttering, Sayako attempts to explain herself only to end up hiccupping.
"Takes a deep breath love. It's alright now I'm here sweetheart I'm here. You were so brave, like the little hero I knew you'd be." Softly, Tsunagu begins rocking the sobbing Sayako clinging to him.
"Daddy I thought you went somewhere I couldn't find you." Pained, Sayako confesses to his father patiently listening to her.
"I will never leave you like the elasticity of Spandex I will always come bouncing back to you." Gently, he promises her as she leans into the plush pillow of his palm, feeling his fingertips gently brush against her cheek.
"Dad…I just…why do the villains do what they do? Why do they want to take you and daddy away from me?" Upset, Sayako questions him.
"My dear, villains and heroes are cut from the same cloth." Tsunagu explains to her.
"They are? But then why do they do what they do?" Lost, Sayako questions sniffling.
"They have lost their stitches, the stitches that stitch them to the tapestry of society to humanity. It is our duty to stitch those lost tapestries back together into the correct path, just like a pair of denim jeans or lives two of those trouser legs are different paths one for villain, one for hero and it is our duty to guide them towards the buckle so that they can become better do you understand?" Proudly, he explains to his little girl.
"I…I think so?" Sniffling, she whispers nuzzling into his side.
"That's my girl. I promise you I'll never leave you; you and I are woven together by the stitches of family, our family tapestry will always be what connects us." Determined, he promises her a small smile upon his lips as she smiles shyly up at him, the two remain in one another's embraces as father and daughter, not hero and civilian, not pro and stranger, simply holding one another reunited…
"Back here again urgh…I swear I'm making this a habit." Huffing, Sayako grumbles as she stares up at the ceiling on the hospital bed, begging, beseeching to not be given any hospital food.
"Did you sleep Midoriya?" Curious, Todoroki questions him as he sits on top of his bed.
"No not really." Midoriya sighs sadly.
"I figured. Me neither." Todoroki confesses.
"What about you Sayako it probably isn't easy with your dad and all." Concerned, Midoriya turns to Sayako slouched on the bed.
"Eh when you've grown up with your parents as pros you're used to it." Aloofly, Sayako shrugs.
"I thought you're mother died." Confused, Midoriya frowns.
"Doesn't mean she wasn't a pro." Pointedly, Sayako snaps making Midoriya flinch from it.
"Oh who was she?" Curious, Midoriya asks making Sayako scowl, squirming on her bed.
"Could we stop talking about this?" Tensely, she brings her legs close to her chest.
"Oh right sorry. You know…I never thought about it watching all those heroes on TV as a kid I used to be so happy so giddy it must have been stressful for you." Apologetic, Midoriya smiles shyly.
"Our aunt would keep an eye on us, it was stressful at times for sure whether that having to go to the hospital the next day or not knowing if they'll come back at the end of the day but…you just deal with it you know?" Aloofly, Sayako sighs not quite sure what to say.
"Sayako…" Softly, she hears Midoriya whisper.
"I never considered that. Back when I was a child I didn't care if my father came back or not." Truthfully, Todoroki confesses.
"To be honest with your dad I don't blame you." Smirking, Sayako leans back against her bedframe.
"Still it's pretty amazing that you watched them." Optimistically, Midoriya smiles.
"I didn't want to but I felt like I had to you know? Sometimes I would just run up the stairs and hide under my bed or in my wardrobe, refusing to come out until dad came home. Then Hikaru wanted to watch them as did my aunt, democracy dictatorship you know?" Sadly, Sayako smiles scratching the back of her neck as the others sweat drop at the heartfelt confession only to be ruined by Sayako's statement.
"Not really. Still thinking aback that fight now we did something pretty amazing." Amazed, Todoroki confesses.
"Yeah I agree after everything that happened back there it feels kind of like a miracle we're alive, with my leg messed up I was an easy target. He probably could have killed me if he wanted to." Midoriya explains.
"Yeah seems to me he left us both live on purpose." Todoroki points out.
"Guess you two pass the qualifications of being a hero." Haughtily, Sayako smirks.
"I'm impressed by you though Ida he was actually trying to murder you but you stood tall." Todoroki turns to Ida, his arms wrapped up in a sling of sorts.
"That's not true I was…" Tenya begins pained.
"Oh stop it already. Being all mopey isn't going to help anyone. You played your part fairly in the fight." Fuming, Sayako grabs her pillow tossing it at Tenya making him gasp taken aback.
"But I brought you all…" Tenya continues making Sayako roll her eyes.
"Don't make me whack you with another pillow." Playfully, Sayako's eyes narrow bringing a small smile to Tenya's lip from her threat.
"Oh so the injured youngins are awake." Surprised, the four jolt up at the voice turning to the door where…
"Grand Torino!" Midoriya recognises.
"Who?" Todoroki furrows his brow.
"My mentor." Midoriya answers.
"And Manuel too…" Tenya whispers as Sayako sighs relieved when noting no Sir Nighteye among them.
"Idiot I could yell at you for hours right now." Grand Torino slams his boot into Midoriya's face.
"Yeah I'm sorry." Midoriya bows his head.
"But before I do you got a visitor; this is Hosu's chief of police Kenji Surogame." Grand Torino reveals as the door slide opens to…
"Can I…pet him?" Bluntly, Sayako blurts out as she stares her greens gleaming sparkling at the sheer sight of the chief of police, Kenji Surogame.
"Pardon?" Kenji blinks only to watch her fall flat to the ground by a pillow chucked her way.
"Ignore her once she has something in her mind she'll blurt it out." Todoroki tells the group.
"You're adorable!" Animatedly, she squeals.
"Right…" Kenji sweat drops at the child as the others attempt to stand.
"No please stay seated woof." Kenji interrupts.
"Woof?" Internally, the others chorus.
"So you're the U.A students who brought down the hero killer." Kenji turns to them.
"We are." Todoroki confirms.
"Stain has some serious injuries. Severe bones and several broken bones. Right now he's in hospital under strict guard. There's a lesson you should already learned when quirks became the norm the police force sought to maintain the status quota. It was decided we wouldn't use quirks as weapons that's when heroes came in. they could do what we couldn't if they were listened of course woof. It would be impossible for the police to condone the use of deadly quirks after all we're here to stop such harm from being done. The only reason pros can use their powers now is because of the strict code of ethics the heroes chose to abide by. That's why it's against the law for uncertified people to use their quirks without training. Whether you were up against the hero killer or not none of you have the authority to harm the villain. That means the three of you and your supervisors Endeavour, Manuel, Grand Torino, Sir Nighteye are sure to receive harsh punishments for this gross abuse of your power." Kenji explains.
"Now wait a minute. If Ida hadn't stepped in Native would have been murdered." Mad, Todoroki argues.
"Todoroki…" Midoriya whispers.
"And if not for Midoriya both of them would be dead. No one else had even realized the killer hero was in Hosu. Are you saying we should have stood by as people are murdered?" Fuming, Todoroki scowls standing up.
"Calm down." Grand Torino steps forward.
"So its okay to break the law as long as it goes your way." Kenji slides his hands into his suit pocket.
"But sir…isn't it a hero's job to save people?" Todoroki disputes.
"Vigilantes exist, don't they?" Sayako points out.
"Vigilante?" Mystified, Midoriya furrows his brow.
"So you know you're stuff." Kenji notes.
"I know bits and pieces. I prefer to be a devil's advocate." Arrogantly, Sayako smirks only to groan when a pillow is thrown her way once more.
"This is why you're not a full-fledged pro yet all of you. It's also clear Endeavour and U.A haven't been teaching you enough yet. What a shame." Tutting, the chief of police shakes his head at the students before him having to clean up their mess.
"And you think being cocky and condescending is going to get the message through?" Tiredly, Sayako sighs.
"You damn mutt!" Enraged, Todoroki steps forward snarling.
"Calm down…" Meekly, Midoriya tries to step in trying to calm Todoroki down.
"Todoroki listen he's right!" Tenya agrees.
"That's enough now." Grand Torino intervenes.
"But…" Todoroki begins.
"What I said is the official stance of the police department, but any punishment would only be necessary if this went public? If it did, you'd probably be applauded by citizens everywhere…but there's no way you would escape from being reprimanded. On the other hand, we could say Endeavour saved the day and we could pretend you weren't involved." Kenji interrupts Todoroki.
"Will my father at least get some credit?" Curtly, Sayako demands.
"You know the answer to that Sayako." Torino tells her making her scowl.
"But that's…" Fuming, Sayako seethes but only to be met by still silence.
"Thankfully, there weren't any witnesses this could be the last you hear of any punishments. It would mean that no one knows about you though. You'd receive no acclaim at all. A choice is yours." Kenji tells the group.
"Is this really a choice though?" Irritated, Sayako sneers.
"Well personally I'd know where I'd stand. I don't want to damage any promising careers. Not for a mistake like this." Kenji exclaims.
"Either way we'll need to take responsibility for being negligent as supervisors." Manuel sighs.
"I'm sorry I should have listened." Tenya bows before Manuel.
"Yeah, you caused us a lot of trouble. Remember that and don't do it again." Sternly, Manuel karate chops Tenya's head.
"And I apologise again." Midoriya adds.
"Me too we'll leave it to you." Todoroki exclaims.
"Sayako…" Grand Torino turns to her as a still silence fills the air, a pregnant pause as she glares at them.
"I ain't apologising for crap." Coldly, she snaps making their eyes widen.
"Sayako!" Tenya and Midoriya hiss at her.
"I understand how you feel. What your father did was very brave but you know your situation and what he did." Kenji acknowledges.
"He did NOTHING." Furious, Sayako seethes slamming her fist down on the bed below her, feeling her blood boil, burn, bubble at the sheer nerve of them.
"Sayako…" Softly, Tenya calls out to her making her green glare into his pleading blue before she sighs slumping her shoulders.
"Fine, take it that's what you lot like to do anyway, take whatever you want." Bitterly, Sayako seethes curling in on herself, bowing her head as another still stoic silence fills the air.
"I know it's not fair you would have enjoyed the fame and praise you'd received otherwise but at least allow me as the chief of police to thank you." Kenji bows before them all.
"You know he could have started with that." Todoroki huffs.
"Todoroki…" Midoriya whispers.
"So…do you have a tail? If so as an apology I'd like to see it." Intensely, Sayako exclaims only to cry out as she is once again hit by a pillow.
"Where the hell are you guys getting so many pillows!?" Angrily, she barks at her friends who all erupt in a small chuckle from her pointed glare, having to deal with this messy situation.
