"What have I done now?" Tiredly, Sayako sighs slumping her shoulders as she plops herself down upon the chair standing in Midnight's office, her legs crossed over the other on the seat, leaning forward slightly as she stares at both the furrowed frowns from Midnight and Aizawa.
"You failed." Frankly, Aizawa answers making Sayako's green hues dilate horror filtering through her veins, her eyes dilating in panic feeling the shockwave flow through her veins, making her bone turn as heavy as lead feel as heavy as stone. She simply stares sat down at the seat, feeling a wave of numbness, of disappointment, of the knot within her burn, tug again and again as she simply stares down at her fingertips flexing…
"Wait…what?" Meekly, Sayako whispers, her voice cracking, breaking briefly placing her fingertips over her throat, trying to blink back the tears threatening to freely flow.
"You failed the exam." Sighing, Midnight crosses her arms over her chest, her brow furrowed reaffirming the fact.
"You're kidding me." Shaken, Sayako places her head in her hands blinking back the tears threatening to fall, feeling a wave of shame, of sorrow, of anger flow through her veins.
"Afraid not the only things you passed aren't enough." Aizawa tosses the papers down upon the desk, seeing the papers scattered over the desk, seeing the numerous crosses.
"Just tell me this did my drawings get any extra points?" Desperate, she requests from him
"No if anything, they made you lose points." Frankly, Aizawa snaps revealing said paper plastered with all sorts of doodles one of which showing Aizawa in his caterpillar form of sorts stuck to a web with Midnight as a spider cackling at him. Another shows ectoplasm with his clones in a cheerleader uniform in a pyramid.
"What?" Stunned, Sayako blinks baffled doing a doubletake at the results.
"Sayako if you struggle with tests, you could tell us." Gently, Midnight tells her, the tone softening.
"You know something? I really don't need your pity, you lot think tests are the perfect way to show who is the best but there is so much more to life than smarts I mean look at the top students they may be great academically but in combat they tend to be the ones holding people back." Calmly, Sayako explains to the two, their eyes softening sadly when noting the faint sheen in her glassy greens.
"No one is perfect." Aizawa states.
"And tests aren't either. Not to mention the whole displaying the scores to make the person at last feel like shit you think that's going to motivate them? It's going to make them feel like shit." Scowling, she spits out poison oozing out of her tone making Aizawa sigh.
"Sayako…we aren't here to discuss the education system even if you do have a point. Aizawa gives her that much." Aizawa closes his eyes sighing sadly at her, he understood her frustration far too well with it all. He knew his struggles with his own quirk caused that then again he supposed this was an opposite case for him while he did well in his studies his quirk didn't help either but with Sayako…he knew she had potential, he knew it. He knew what she was capable of but she held herself back, her past held her back up there held her back…
"You sure? Feels like I'm about to be expelled." Warily, Sayako shuffles on her seat.
"You're not we just not to understand what happened." Tentatively, Midnight sighs squeezing her shoulder making Sayako sigh.
"I don't know… I just…my mind wanders." Frustrated, Sayako scowls scratching the back of her neck.
"Well if we had known that we could have helped you." Midnight offers.
"How? You can't just…! Urgh whatever…" Fed up, Sayako curls in close on herself too tired to deal with anything anymore.
"This isn't something you can brush off Sayako." Severely, Midnight affirms.
"Look I'm already going to get it from the others as it is with that stupid board saying whose the thickest in class or when they rudely ask what my score is, can't I be left alone to deal with that?" Tiredly, Sayako combs her fingertips through her locks, tugging at them.
"You're not even bothered by the camp?" Midnight furrows her brow.
"Eh you win some you lose some. "Simply, Sayako shrugs unaware of Aizawa's eyes narrowing.
"Sayako this is serious." Mad, Midnight furrows her brow, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Look kid we have a solution for you." Tiredly, Aizawa sighs slumping his shoulders.
"And what's that?" Sayako questions confusion laced in her tone.
"There's a certain student in the general studies support who has the grades to easily beat you, he could even replace you if he had the quirk." Frankly, Aizawa explains to Sayako.
"So what? You want me to beat this guy black and blue?" Sayako wiggles a brow.
"What I want you to do is partner up with him for the exam." Aizawa deadpans.
"What?" Sayako's eyes expand taken aback.
"In exchange of helping him pass the exam he is willing to tutor you." Aizawa informs Sayako.
"I don't need help." Huffing, she scowls glaring to the side.
"Sayako you need all the help you can get." Frankly, Midnight tells her.
"Mutiny I say mutiny…" Mumbling, Sayako grumbles, glaring to the side placing her knuckles to her lips.
"Well what do you say?" Midnight asks her.
"What do I say? I don't have a choice in this at all so why are you even asking?" Annoyed, Sayako sneers scowling bitterness oozing out of her.
"We're meant to." Tense, Midnight crosses her arms over her chest.
"Of course you lot bloody are. Fine I'll help you with this little pet project if my score isn't shown to anyone." Sayako's greens narrow at the two who sigh at the request.
"Fine." Aizawa sighs giving in as the two nod their head in understanding as he offers his hand out to her making her grab his hand, clasping her hand in his, the two shaking their hands, the deal set.
