"Back off lumberjack and you too, spider woman. This is between me and the happy little Sumdac family," said Masterson as he hovered in front of them, aiming his null rays at them.
"Happy family? Boy, did he get the wrong Sumdacs," Sari muttered.
Then Optimus pulled out his axe, and Elita drew her blades and together, they charged at Masterson. The handle of Optimus' axe extended, knocking Masterson's feet onto the ground, and Elita plunged her blade into his chest and injected him with cyber venom. Optimus then quickly activated his grapple, wrapping it around his legs before he had time to recover. Optimus then transformed to vehicle mode and drove around Burger Bot. When he turned around the corner, he released his grapple, causing Masterson to crash into a wall.
"Hey, no fair!" Masterson complained.
Then Optimus drove up to the Sumdacs and Elita, and then he transformed to robot mode. Then he picked up the Sumdacs and placed them in between two dumpsters.
"Now stay here and stay down," Optimus ordered.
"I'm not sitting next to him. I what my own safe place. And by the way, I'm not talking to you two traitors," Sari complained.
"You just did," Elita pointed out.
"Just stay here, please," said Optimus and then suddenly, both he and Elita got hit by a laser.
"Now you have made me angry," Elita glared. Then her face suddenly unfolded into a sonic blaster that hit Masterson so hard he was sent crashing onto the highway.
"How did you do that?" Optimus asked in surprise.
"I don't know," said Elita, equally stunned. "I guess it's the download I got when I interfaced with Starscream's body. Guess we know why they call him Starscream."
Optimus then transformed to vehicle mode while Elita transformed into her beast mode, and together they chased after Masterson. Masterson had managed to pick himself up, but when he looked around, he couldn't see a trace of Optimus or Elita.
"Where did that lameos go? Ah, who cares? Time to finish an old guy and his brat" said Masterson and took off.
Optimus then drove off the highway and crashed into Masterson, and then transformed to robot mode. They then both crashed into the ground, making holes in the pavement. Masterson tried to get up, but the wings prevented him from rolling onto his front.
"Oh man, how did he roll over with these wings?" Masterson moaned.
Elita then approached him in beast mode and then covered in webbing. "Try getting out of that."
The headmaster unit then fired a laser, striking her in the chest and knocking her out cold. He then used the laser to cut through the webbing and managed to pull himself onto his feet.
"Take that, noob," he smirked and then turned towards Optimus, who had his back towards him. "Turning your back on me? Macho bad idea, dude." He then ripped a piece of the pavement and chucked it at Optimus
Masterson said as he picked up a part of the pavement and chucked it at Optimus, knocking him flat to the ground. Masterson then started to approach the Sumdacs.
Processor Sumdac then opened one of the dumpster's lids and put Sari in it. "Sari stay in here no matter what," said Processor Sumdac.
Processor Sumdac then ran up to Masterson. "Masterson! I'm the one you want. Live Sari alone, she is my daughter, and I love her, and no one touches her! Especially not someone driving around in a big dumb giant head. Know come and get me!
Professor Sumdac then ran, but he didn't get very far as Masterson stamped his foot hard on the ground, causing him to trip.
"Hey! No one disses the unit! Especially when it is attached to a ginormous flying Decepticon body!" Masterson roared as he slowly put his foot on top of Processor Sumdac.
Sari then fired an energy blast knocking Masterson's foot away from Processor Sumdac. "Get away from my father, you cyber glitch!" Sari yelled.
"Try that again, I dare you," said Masterson as he walked over to Sari. Sari then fired another energy blast, but Masterson just moved his head to dodge it. "My turn."
Sari then looked to her left, and when he turned to see what he was looking at, he saw Optimus driving towards them in vehicle mode. Optimus then rounded into him with all his strength and then transformed his arms, and grabbed Masterson.
"Cut it out, widget head!" Masterson roared as he dug his feet into the payment and activated his jets.
The two of them then crashed right into Burger Bot.
"Sari, you saved me!" said Processor Sumdac hugging her.
"You saved me first," she said.
"Glad you forgave your dad now?" Elita asked as she woke up.
"You bet."
Meanwhile, both Optimus, who was still in his vehicle mode, and Masterson were arm-wrestling.
"Cut it out and fight like a robot!" Masterson yelled angrily.
Then Optimus transformed into his robot mode. "Why don't you fight like a jet? That is, if you think you can't handle transforming. It is pretty difficult, especially for a noob such as yourself," said Optimus with a smile.
"Nobody calls me a noob! Nobody!" Masterson roared. Then he flew up to the sky and started to transform to vehicle mode; as the body transformed, the headmaster unit began to get crushed. "So I'm guessing that the bot I jacked his head is a lot small." The Headmaster unit then popped off."Not coooool!"
Masterson screamed as his Headmaster unit fell off and crashed to the ground while Starscream's body landed in the river. Captain Fanzone and his man showed up in time as Masterson got out of his Headmaster unit. Unfortunately, before he could make a run for it, Optimus grabbed him.
"Game over, Masterson. I think you know Captain Fanzone," said Optimus.
"And this time, you don't have Powell covering for you," Elita smiled.
Meanwhile, Sumdacs were still hugging.
"So does this you forgive me, Sari?" Processor Sumdac asked.
"I just what to go home, my real home, dad. I'm just sorry I didn't listen to Elita sooner," said Sari.
It was night when they finally returned to Sumdac Tower.
"I only wish I could tell you more about how you came into being," said Professor Sumdac. "I just don't know."
Then Prowl jumped out in front of them from nowhere. "I may be able to shed some light on that." Prowl then showed a picture with his holo-projector. "After reviewing as much data as I could, I believe what you had in our laboratory was a protoform."
"What a protoform?" the Sumdacs asked.
"Protoforms are the building blocks of all life on Cybertron," Optimus explained.
"Basically, there able to more any kind of chastity or spark," Elita explained. "Additionally, when a Cybertronian goes offline, their entire frame is melted down in order to create a new protoform, but there are some cases where two are made, and we ended with siblings, like me and Tarantulas."
"I think some of Processor Sumdac DNA must have accidentally merged with the protoform, and Sari is the result," Prowl explained.
"So I'm like part Cybertronian," said Sari and then looked at them all beaming. "Cool, we've like cousins."
"But it still doesn't explain how a protoform got into ended up in Sumdac's lab," Prowl frowned.
"Another question for another time," said Elita.
Then Optimus got a transmission on his comlink.
"Prime! We have a situation, two Autobots down," said Ratchet, who was currently at the ruined base with an injured Bulkhead and Blurr. "We need to transport Bulkhead and Blurr to the plant for repairs. But there's no sign of Bumblebee."
Bumblebee suddenly found himself in the depths of space.
"Okay, how did I get here?" he said, looking around. "And for that matter, where is here?"
Bumblebee wasn't the only one in the depths of nowhere, Omega and just transwarped, but he was nowhere near Cybertron. Additionally, the moment that he transwarped, he powered down, releasing both Megatron and Starscream.
"Free at last!" Starscream cried before he hit the floor.
"Curious, the effort of the transwarp must have put the Autobot in sleep mode," Megatron theorised and then made his way to the window. "This is not Cybertron.
"Who cares where it is?" Starscream snapped. "Just bust us out of this Autobot prison!"
Megatron made his way to the doors, but no matter how hard he tried, they remained firmly shut. "It's useless. I can't break through without my weapons."
"Ahem, you're forgetting that one of us is a weapon," said Starscream and then fired his sonic cannon, but only ended up being flung across the bridge.
"An applicable weapon at that," said Megatron. "Now we're trapped aboard the very source of the Decepticons' greatest defeat. On the other hand, if I could gain control of the Autobots' ultimate weapon."
Meanwhile, at the Space Bridge Nexus, the entire facility began to power down, and Shockwave transformed into Longarm. He then quickly accessed the cult of the contact headquarters.
"Longarm Prime to Cybertron Command! What is going on with the Space Bridge Nexus?" he demanded. "Report!"
Cliffjumper then appeared on the monitor. "The entire network has been shut down, sir. Ultra Magnus' orders! Apparently, the Cons are trying to transform their way onto Cybertron."
"Well, we can't let that happen, can't wait?" said Longarm, and once Cliffjumper disappeared from the monitor, he slammed his hand on the console in annoyance.
Meanwhile, on Earth, Ratchet and Elita were repairing Bulkhead and Blurr. Blurr only had some minor injuries, so while Elita patched him up, this allowed Ratchet to focus on repairing Bulkhead.
"It doesn't make any senesce," said Bulkhead as Ratchet repaired his shoulder. "One cycle Bumblebee there the next cycle, he's gone."
"Hold still already!" Ratchet ordered.
"It makes no sense; he was here one cycle and gone the next," said Blurr. "He disappeared without a trace, but before we had a chance to search for him, we were attacked by Headmaster. Though I very much so that Headmaster had anything to do with Bumblebee's disappearance. However, now that I think about the timing was rather convenient."
"Blurr, I would appreciate it if you remain quiet," said Elita as she attempted to patch Blurr up.
Then Sari ran in excitedly. "Guys, I think I'm getting the hang of this whole powers thing. Look what I just learned to do."
She then fired some energy blasts, which destroyed some of Ratchet's equipment.
"Hey! Hey!" Ratchet shouted.
"Uh, oops," said Sari. Ratchet now his optics and then continued fixing Bulkhead's shoulder. Sari then pulled out her key. "Why waste your time fixing stuff the old fashion way when I could just use my key?"
"Let me tell you something, kiddo," said Ratchet. "My old-fashioned way has saved plenty of servos just because something newer and easier doesn't make it better."
"Uh, yeah, it does. I mean, if you ask me, having these new Cybertronian powers is way cooler than not having them. Well, except for the blowing your stuff up part."
Ratchet then picked up Sari and put her on Bulkhead's berth. "There's more than meet's the optics when it comes to being an Autobot Sari. Having powers and knowing when to use them are two different things."
"But Ratchet…" Sari complained.
"If you know what's best for you, you'll take it slow. And learn the ways of being part machine."
"Ratchet is right, Sari; it took me time to master my organic powers," said Elita.
"Uh, no effects, doc-bot, but I could really use that key," said Bulkhead giving Sari a wink.
Sari then put her key in Bulkhead's shoulder, and in seconds it was mended.
Ratchet just stood there, and his thoughts turned back toward the Great War.
Ratchet was with Ultra Magnus and Highbrow as they began to approach Project Omega.
"What you looking at, Field Tech Ratchet is a prototype Autobot weapon of mass destruction," Ultra Magnus explained. "And quite possibly our last chance of defeating the Decepticons."
"The Intel Officer you treated in the field was carrying the activation codes for Omega Supreme," Highbrow explained.
"She must've planted a failsafe retrieval program on you," Ultra Magnus theorised. "That's why you were able to download her access codes when you performed open processor surgery on her."
"So now I'm supposed to upload the code into that thing?" Ratchet stared.
Then the Science Officer in charge, Preceptor, transformed to robot mode. "I'm afraid it's not that simple," he said in a very dull voice. "You see, Omega Supreme was purposely designed to have a very simple processor. With it, he'll be able to carry out his mission without hesitation."
Ratchet narrowed his eyes. "In other words, you don't want him to think too hard about all the devastation he will cause."
"We're at war, soldier," Ultra Magnus reminded him. "We do what we must."
"Because of Omega Supreme's simple processor, he requires a mentor bot to imprint upon, one which he will take his commands from," Preceptor explained.
"That bot was meant to be Agent Arcee; she was a teacher before she joined Intel Division," said Highbrow.
"But now, since the recognition code has been transferred, that mentor bot is you, Field Tech Ratchet," said Ultra Magnus.
"You must gain the trust of Omega Supreme," said Preceptor as the platform extended to Omega Supreme's head.
"And then what? Teach him how to be a doomsday device?" Ratchet asked.
He looked down at Omega and reluctantly transmissive the activation codes. The moment they were downloaded into his processor, Omega began to awake.
"I am Omega Supreme; I am yours to command," he said. "I am your pupil, your dependent, your obedient servant."
"I am Ratchet… I am… your friend," said Ratchet.
"I know, my friend," said Bulkheas as Optimus, Prowl, and Moonracer entered the toom. "Bumblebee won't take off and not say anything."
"We've been scanning everywhere, Bulkhead," said Prowl.
"There's no sign of Bumblebee anywhere on this planet," said Optimus.
Bulkhead tipped his chin, and then he had a through. "What if he's not on this planet? Maybe he was holding a plasma dynamic thruster. What if he caught a stray transwarp field and shot him across the galaxy." Then he opened his chest compartment and pulled out the retrieval beacon generator. "I could pinpoint his location with this beacon generator. I mean, if I could get it working again."
"Let me take a look at that thing," said Ratchet taking the beacon generator and using his x-ray eye.
Sari looked at it, then she put her key into it, and it reactive.
"That's two I owe you, Sari," Bulkhead smiled.
"To slow old bot," said Sari.
"If anyone needs me, I'll be in the corner rusting with the other obsolete junk," Ratchet muttered as he walked away.
"Now, once the plasma dynamic thruster picks up the homing beacon, it should transwarp Bumblebee right back to use," said Bulkhead as he fiddled with the beacon generator. "Of course, it could take a while depending where he is."
At the same time, Megatron was trying to gain control of Omega Supreme by jury-rigging his controls with stasis cuffs.
"Haha, do you honestly think you can hot wire a giant Autobot and take control of it!" Starscream mocked.
Then suddenly, the control console activated and lowered itself into the command centre, and Starscream screamed as he fell with it.
"As a matter of fact, I do," said Megatron jumping in. "And now the power of Omega Supreme is mine to command!"
The Orion search rights then activated, shining on the asteroid field they were currently in, but the moment the light shone on them began growing a pair of eyes.
Megatron tried to control the ship, but it was not responding to his commands. "Useless oversized Autobot! You will obey my commands!"
In frustration, he hit his hand on the console causing Starscream to fall on his side.
"Uh, Megatron, you might Wanna take a look at the vis-screen," Starscream suggested as his eyes fell upon the monitor.
It turned out that those asteroids were asteroids, but some sort of rock-based life form came to life upon getting hit by light. They soon began to swarm the Orion, and alarms began to sound, waking Omega.
"Autobots in danger!" Omega yelled as the stone creatures tried to bust through his armour plating. "Too many! Must transwarp to safety!"
Omega then suddenly began to transwarp and disappeared.
No sooner had Omega vanished than Bumblebee appeared, still holding the plasma dynamic thruster.
"Where am I now?" Bumblebee moaned. Then suddenly, he saw the stone creatures. "Oh, slag."
Bumblebee tried to get away, but one of the creatures ate him whole.
At roughly the same time, the Autobots and Sari rushed out of the plant so they could get Bumblebee back.
"Hey, guys, I'm picking up a transwarp sign!" Bulkhead and announced. Then he looked at the beacon generator, trying to get a fix on Bumblebee. "Now to reel him in."
He pressed down on a button, and a beam of light shot out in front of them, but instead of Bumblebee appearing in front of them, it was a giant rock monster. The rock monster looked at the sun, but it got blinded by its light. It then started to walk towards the city and knocked down a water tower. Sari was too busy trying to make an energy blast she didn't notice that the water tower was falling toward her. Luckily Optimus grabbed her before it landed on her.
"You might what to look up every now and then," Optimus advised.
Bulkhead then ran up to the monster and was about to hit it with his wreaking ball arm.
"Bulkhead, wait, I'm picking up Bumblebee's sign inside that thing!" Optimus yelled.
"What?" Bulkhead said before his wreaking ball hit him on the head. "Ow!"
The monster continued its journey to the city and began going on a rampage.
"What are we waiting for? Come on, it's my first fight with powers. Let go already!" said Sari excitedly.
"Not this time Sari," said Optimus.
"What are you talking about? I'm a robot hero now, too, you know."
"You're not ready," said Optimus bluntly.
"You don't know that. For all you know, I could kick your skid plate," said Sari as Optimus put her down on the ground. "Not that I would, I'm just saying."
"That's the point, Sari. We don't know what you can or can't do yet or how much punishment you can take," Optimus explained.
"But what about the punishment you can take your going to need my key in case one of you guys gets hurt?" Sari asked.
"We don't need any sticking key," said Ratchet as he adjusted his EMP generator.
Prowl stared at him. "Your EMP generator, you haven't brought that into battle since you got it back from Lockdown."
"Last time I checked, I'm this team's field medic, and I've been doing it this way for four million stellar cycles anybot got a problem with that?" Ratchet asked angrily.
"Uh, no, not really," said Prowl.
"No, I'm good," said Bulkhead.
"You do whatever you want," said Moonracer.
"Right, Autobots…" said Optimus and then looked down at Sari. "…and only Autobots! Transform and roll out!"
Then they all transformed to vehicle mode and drove away.
"I can't believe this," Sari moaned. "First, they tell me I can't come because I'm a kid, and now I can't come because I'm a kid robot." She then fired an energy blast, but in a few seconds, it just faded away. "Okay, now that's just sad. Come on, Sari, focus." Sari then looked at her key and got an idea. "Wait a second; maybe all I need is an upgrade."
Sari concentrates, and a port opens in her chest, into which she inserts her key, and in an explosion of energy, Sari's whole body transforms into a taller, older form, suited in combat armour!
Omega Supreme had transwarped to another sector of the galaxy but had once again fallen into sleep mode. Megatron attended a jury rig him like he did before, but to no avail.
"Did you honestly think that trick would work a second time?" Starscream sneered.
Megatron grabbed his head and inserted him into the control console with the stasis cuffs. Starscream then began to scream as the AllSpark fragment in his head interfaced with the console activating it, causing them to be lower into the command centre.
"Apparently, the AllSpark fragment in your head has more than one use," Megatron smiled.
They then took off into the depths of space.
Meanwhile, the Autobots had managed to catch up to the rock monster, which had crushed everything in its way. Once they arrived, they transformed into robot mode.
"So, how do we stop that thing without hurting Bumblebee?" Bulkhead asked.
Ratchet then heard something behind him and looked around. "What in the name of Cybertron is that?"
All the Autobots turned round to see something coming their way at a very fast speed. It then skated past them and stopped right in front of them.
"Hey, boulder butt! You what to mess with my city. You got to go through me first!" Sari yelled.
"Sari!" Prowl gasped.
"But she looks so different," Bulkhead stared.
"She must be in her robot mode," Elita theorised.
"And it looks like she went through a sort of modification you went through," Moonracer noted.
"Sari, what are you doing?" Optimus asked.
"Don't sweat it, Prime! I've got this one covered," said Sari confidently
Then parts of her arms changed into a pair of energy blades. She then skated toward the monster and jumped onto its head, and then somersaulted right in front of it. The monster tried to smash her, but she was too fast for it.
"Hey, Rockey, you may be big, but you sure are slow!" Sari yelled as she skated around.
She then skated between its legs, and her energy skates returned back to normal. Then small jump jets in her feet launched her into the air, and a split second later, she pulled up an energy hammer. With all her strength, she slammed the hammer down onto the monster's back and, upon impact, began to crumble free Bumblebee, who had been trapped inside.
"Wh-what happened?" Bumblebee asked, and then he noticed Sari next to him. "Sari?"
"Bumblebee, you're okay?" Sari asked.
"And you're… you're different," Bumblebee stared. Then the remaining parts of the rock monster changed into smaller rock monsters. "Sari, look out!"
"Don't sweat it," said Sari confidently. "Neat trick, now let me show what I can do."
She then skated to one of them and punched it, making it fall apart. Then she dealt a devastating kick destroying another one of the creatures before jumping up into the air and using her energy hammer on the last one.
Once all the creatures were destroyed, she deactivated her helmet. "Oh, yeah! Sari, one tiny dust-sized rock monsters, zero!"
Bumblebee then got onto his feet and approached the others, who just stared openmouthed. "You got to admit she's good."
Then Sari's chest opened up and her key, which was still inside the slot, started to glow.
"The key…" Ratchet gasped.
Then Sari's swords popped out then she lost control of her body.
"What happening to me?" Sari screamed before one of her swords stretched and hit a building.
"That can't be good," said Bulkhead.
"Sari, what are you doing?" Bumblebee asked.
Sari tried to control her body, but it was like it had a mind of its own.
"Sari, stop!" Optimus ordered.
"I'm trying!" Sari screamed as she spun out of control.
Optimus quickly turned to Ratchet. "What her malfunction?"
"The key power must have caused an overload; she can't control the upgrades," said Ratchet.
"Her body must've not been accustomed to handling that kind of raw power," said Elita. "My body had already adapted to my organic half before I received my upgrade. Sari, on the other hand only discovered that she's part Cybertronian just a few days ago."
"Help me!" Sari pleaded as she sliced through the car, causing it to blow up.
Ratchet activated his magnets to create a magnetic field to hold her down, but she merely swung his or treat in an energy wave freeing her and knocking Ratchet to the ground.
"We have to be careful not to hurt her," said Optimus and fired his bola at Sari.
It went around her legs, but she just spine around and kicked it towards Bumblebee. Bumblebee ducked in time and looked at the building that the bola hit.
"Her! What about us?" Bumblebee asked.
"Sorry, I just can't help it!" Sari yelled as she leaned on a mail-bot then it exploded.
"Now she's changing very thing she touches!" Ratchet said.
"Elita, what about your cyber venom?" Optimus asked.
"I've never used it against her fellow tech-organic; it could kill her!" said Elita.
"I may be able to control Sari's circuitry by using my Cyber-Ninja processor over matter technic," Prowl offered.
He then started to hum as he tried to gain control of Sari, but Sari then unleashed a powerful shockwave that knocked Prowl off his feet.
"What now?" Bulkhead asked.
"Hang on, Sari, I'm coming!" Bumblebee yelled, transforming to vehicle mode, and drove towards her.
"Bumblebee, get back here!" Optimus ordered.
Bumblebee then transformed to robot mode and tried to grab Sari.
"No, Bumblebee! Don't!" Sari begged.
But too late, her instincts took over, and she stabbed Bumblebee's chest with one of her energy blades. All she could do was watch in horror as Bumblebee was hurled back by an energy discharge. Everybody stared in horror as the light dimmed from his optics.
