"To complete the exam, you have thirty minutes in order to win your objective is to put these handcuffs on your teacher or one of you can win by managing to escape the combat stage…" Principal Nezu explains revealing said handcuffs to the group, a bulky pair of yellow cuffs dangle down from the principal's paw.
"So we either got to capture the teacher or run away its basically like the combat training." Kaminari summarises thoughtfully.
"Yeah but is it really okay just to get?" Unsure, Mina raises her hand.
"It's going to be much more different than that combat training you did earlier after all you're up against people waaay better than you." Boastfully, President Mic declares.
"Better? Really? Wait aren't you just the announcer?" Jiro's eyes narrow oblivious to the panicking Koda trying to signal to her to stop but…
"Hey, watch your mouth girl! Have some respect!" Roaring, president Mic bellows.
"This time your exam will be very similar to a real battle as strange as it is please think of us as villains." Thirteen tells the group.
"That won't be hard." Bitterly, Sayako's eyes narrow at the mischievous midnight smirking winking her way making her grimace alongside Aizawa's sadistic smirk making a shy shudder course down her spine.
"Assuming you come across your enemy if you think you can win against them then fine. However,…" Snipe begins.
"In instances where you're outmatched it would be smarter to run away and find help. Todoroki, Ida, Midoriya, Sayako I'm sure the four of you understand." Aizawa finishes Snipe's sentence and turns to the select students.
"I won't make that mistake again I will pass and prove I am a hero." Proudly, Tenya promises.
"So we fight to win or run to win." Sayako shoves her hands into her pockets.
"That's right it's a test for your decision making skills but with these rules you're probably thinking you're only real choice is to flee. That's why the support course made these super clever accessories for us!" All Might declares stretching his arms out wiggling his finger out as he reveals…
"Behold ultra compressed weights!" President Mic proclaims.
"You know that isn't helping the announcer title." Sayako sweat drops internally thinking it as the students put on the band bracelets.
"These babies will add about half our body weight to our psychics. It's not much but they will eat up our stamina and make it hard enough for us to move around. Oh shoot! These are heavier than I thought. We had a contest to come up with these designs and young Hatsume ended up winning it. All Might elaborates as the students put on the bands," All Might struggling briefly.
"Wow good for Hatsume." Amazed, Midoriya gushes at the thought of the pinkette.
"You think we need a handicap to win against you? Well think again." Annoyed, Bakugo sneers scowling at All Might.
"Hahah, this will be fun." Sadistically, All Might smirks smugly at the prospect.
"You gonna keep clawing at that door?" Bored, Shinso's voice snaps Sayako out of her thoughts finding herself now slumped, curled up into a ball leaning against the door, glaring at the door.
"Until it opens yes." Curtly, Sayako answers making Shinsho scowl adjusting the dials on the weird device on him.
"It's not going to open." Tiredly, Shinso points out.
"No really?" Dryly, Sayako huffs irritation laced in her tone as her greens glare into a pair of bored lilac.
"You really think bickering is going to help us right now?" Scowling, Shinso slouches in his seat.
"Did you know who you'd partner up?" Sighing, Sayako raises a brow at Shinsho slowly maing her way over to a seat, far from Shinsho crossing her arms over her chest.
"I had an idea." Shinso leans over in his seat.
"How?" Sayako scowls at him.
"All I was told was some class A loudmouth who hasn't studied at all failed and now needs help passing." Bluntly, Shinso states making Sayako scowl grimacing glaring to the side feeling the familiar knot in her stomach squeeze, tighten, tug at her sides making her grimace, glaring to the side.
"Aizawa's words I assume." Annoyed, Sayako sneers bitterness oozing out of her tense tired, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Yep." Bluntly, Shinso deadpans nodding his head making her grimace.
"Urgh Aizawa…bastard." Bitterly, Sayako grumbles moving her legs underneath her chin, wrapping her arms around her legs bringing them close for her chin to nestle on top of.
"Look I know you like this as much as I do but you want to pass don't you? So do I. So maybe you should stop being so difficulty so we can work together, whether you like it or not we need each other. Sayako you know I'm right." Resolute, Shinso states the fact furrowing his brow at Sayako grimace glaring to the side.
"Course they'd give me you probably to make it harder." Sayako sneers scowling.
"And how's that?" Shinso arches a brow adjusting the scarf draped over his shoulder.
"Shinsho you have no fighting experience." Frankly, Sayako states, she knew that first-hand.
"Aizawa trained me." Shinso states.
"And if we're pitted up against him we're screwed." Sayako deadpans.
"Don't you know who we're facing?" Shinso questions her.
"No from what I gather though it's between midnight and Aizawa if they are going by relationships." Thoughtfully, Sayako considers.
"They certainly aren't going for grades." Shinsho remarks making Sayako's eye twitch, feeling the sharp stab to her chest from his words.
"Yeah, yeah my grades are shit we get it." Irritated, Sayako snaps sneering, hissing at him.
"No need to be bitter about it. If you revised…" Shinso begins making Sayako scoff.
"I'm not bitter I just…! I want to get this over with alright." Angrily, Sayako snaps scowling at him.
"We'll sort it out when we find out who we're facing." Shinso sighs leaning back in his seat giving up on her.
Sayako sighs slumping his shoulders too tired to deal with the male before him.
"We should try to plan for what's ahead…" Shinso says furrowing his brow at her still silence once more.
"Really? The silent treatment? What are you five?" Frowning, Shinso scowls at her.
"Why did you agree to this Shinso?" Scowling, she demands from him.
"You know why I agreed. I want to be a hero no matter what people say I will become a hero." Shinso answers making Sayako grimace, glaring to the side flinching from his words.
"Do what you want just don't get in my way." Sayako stands turning her back to Shinso just as the bell rings, announcing their match as they head out, heading to their match.
You always stood out…even back then you shone like the sun…
Quietly, Shinso stands in his middle school uniform, his brow furrows staring straight ahead at nothing as the welcoming speech rings resonating in the air to Shinso. His lilacs bored begin to wander around the aisles upon aisles of girls and boys his age, some wearing the same uniform as him while the girls wore the female equivalent of the uniform, each and everyone to unify them but each with their won quirk, each with theory own abilities each with their own power, one better than the other no doubt leaving only one at the bottom, scraping the scraps left behind by those with better quirks, powerful quirks, flashy quirks. That is until…his lilacs meet her greens. Surprise filters on his facial features, his mask stoically still to his facial features but his lilac hues widen when his lilacs clash against her greens.
"Even if it was buried, I just knew you stood out, whether it be because of your quirk, your personality or your lineage…"
"Hey isn't that the saviour surgeon's daughter?"
"I think so I didn't know he had a kid."
"Yeah I bet she's going to be a hero no doubt about it."
"Yeah they say she's super strong too."
"And have you seen how pretty she is I hear she's a model."
"She'll be the perfect hero!"
Quietly, Shinso sits alone at his desk, furrowing his brow at the girl sat at the back chirpily conversing with the girls and boys swarming her as she laughs, chuckles and smiles.
"Even then people knew you'd be a hero but me? It was never easy for me…"
Roughly, Shinso grimaces as he is shoved into the wall the shadow draped over the trio of boys as Shinso simply stares at the shorter, buffer boy before him, his hand formed into a drill of some sort, teasingly touching his neck.
"Hey Shinsho, I hear ya can brainwash people how about you use that brainwash to make my buddy and I have a talk with a certain teacher, he could even raise your score too." Smugly, the boy sneers at Shinso grabbing him by his collar with his other hand.
"Oi what's going on?" Surprised, both boys jolt up at the voice, Shinso's lilac hues widening when he turns to see the blonde before him.
"Well, well if it ain't the teacher's pet, think you can be just like daddy do ya?" Tauntingly, the drill boy bellows.
"At least I have a dad yours still out getting those cigarettes Yoshi?" Smugly, Sayako quirks her head to the side earning a small snort from Shinso only aggravating him.
"Something funny freak!?" Drill boy snarls at Shinso.
"Hey I was the one to say it not him." Annoyed, Sayako steps forward frowning.
"SHUT UP BITCH! YOU THINK YOU'RE SO MUCH BETTER THAN US DON'T YA?" Loudly, drill boy snarls.
"Yeah just because you're a daughter of a hero the teacher's nice on ya don't think we'll give you special treatment!" His lackey adds as she simply looks down at her nails bored.
"You know I was told I'm not allowed to pick fights with children." Curtly, she tells the two sighing.
"The fuck you say!?" Snarling, he glares daggers at her.
"That's it let's see where daddy dearest training has got you!" Drill boy lunges at Sayako.
"Your funeral." Firmly, she shrugs as Shinso's eyes expand when seeing a small shimmer of a glint gleaming in her green hues as next thing he knew, he stood shocked, staring at the clearly one matched fight, from flipping him over to one simple strikes knocking the other out.
"Hey you okay?" Sayako turns to the stunned Shinso, staring at her before shaking his head, furrowing his brow at her as she offers her hand out to him.
"You…you're noisy." Rudely, he brushes her off, slapping the hand aside.
"Yeah." Sheepishly, she cradles her hand.
"Huh?" Shinso turns to her.
"You're right I am pretty noisy I mean to be honest I got lost I was looking for the food hall." Chuckling, she scratches the back of her blonde roots.
"You've been here for months…" Mystifed, Shinso furrows his brow at the so-called perfect student.
"Yeah hah geography isn't my forte." Feebly, she smiles strained.
"Don't lie." Shinso snaps scowling at her.
"Huh?" She quirks her head to the side.
"You thought I was working with them, right? I was a villain…" Bitterly, he sneers at her.
"Where did you get that idea from?" Lost, she furrows her brow at him.
"Don't lie it's all you guys ever think." Scowling, Shinso sneers making her hum.
"I mean I know how troublesome those lot are so sure I assumed there would be trouble you were right for that part but…didn't you say you wanted to be a hero?" Thoughtfully, she considers looking up at the sky before asking him taking him aback, the still silence and him freezes from her words clearly answering it.
"Sorry I overheard you when you were talking to a teacher, hah man I gave that guy a talking to. Saying someone like you couldn't be a hero I mean with your quirk that's ridiculous." Smiling, Sayako chuckles shaking her head.
"You…know my quirk?" Shinso's lilacs narrow into her green.
"Well yeah everyone does." Bluntly, she shrugs.
"I could brainwash you at any moment why are you talking so causally to me?" Darkly, he warns his lilacs glaring into her green as she simply stares.
"Why not?" Confused, she asks him.
"Huh?" Shinso furrows his brow seeing her brush past him, back turned to him.
"Heroes and villains are cut from the same cloth its what you use that quirk for that defines who you are as a person it's the decision that you make that make you who you want to be. Sure you could use brainwashing for what Yoshi said but you could also use it to save people's lives whether that be by giving them the agency to flee from a fight or stop someone from pulling a trigger…I mean that's what I think it's what dad told me anyway." Honestly, Sayako confesses scratching the back of her head unaware of Shinsho's lilacs widening when hearing her words.
"And everything daddy dearest tells you is true?" Tensely, he snaps bowing his head, slamming his glassy lilacs shut.
"Course not he told me Santa existed for goodness sake hah! Just saying heroes and villains are two sides of the same coin you don't automatically become a villain due to your quirk it's what you use that quirk for the motive, the reason there's more to life than those simple labels." Frankly, Sayako shrugs about to turn to face him but…
"Come on." Scowling, he grabs her arm taking her back.
"Huh?" She looks up at him but he simply stares ahead, the faint shimmer in his lilacs.
"You want to get some food right? Knowing you, you'll just get loose and get yourself into more trouble." Tiredly, he huffs making her greens widen when hearing his words.
"Oh right… thanks Shinso!" Grateful, she smiles up at him as he guides her to the lunch hall, having no idea the beginning of their friendship…
"Hey!" Startled, Shinso jolts up at the sharp snap, finding himself in a alleyway as his lilacs latch onto a pair of familiar green but different, they are darker becoming almost a pair of jaded jade, her once bright broad blonde roots now brown with hints of blonde.
"You can't afford to daydream dumbass! Tch just focus on getting to the exit while I focus on our villain." Fed up, Sayako snaps at the stunned Shinsho watching her storm off going ahead out of the alleyway as Shinso slowly trails behind her, following behind her…
"Sayako…what happened to you...?" Shinso furrows his brow watching the fleeting figure of Sayako leave, hearing the alarms blare as the exam begins...
*So...what did you think of that? Of Shinsho and Sayako? Would love to know!*
