Coming Out of the Closet
Ryan was sat on the end of his bed swinging his legs. He didn't know how he was going to tell him, but he knew that he had to. He couldn't keep living with the feelings that he was having for him. He was afraid to though, he didn't know what his reply would be, would he just walk off or would he kiss him. He knew that Troy was looking at him in ways he didn't look at anyone else but did that mean that he had feelings for Ryan or did it mean that Troy knew that Ryan had feelings for him. He sighed and placed his head in his hands. Only Sharpay knew who Ryan had a crush on. Well it was more than a crush; Ryan was in love with Troy Bolton. Everyone in school knew that Ryan was gay, it was obvious: the way he acted, the way he talked and especially the way he dressed. But they didn't treat him different although he didn't have many friends but that was due to the fact of his sister Sharpay who was like the Queen Bee at East High. Ryan fell asleep with thoughts of Troy in his head and thought of how he was going to tell him those three little words.
Troy was collecting his work from his locker. He hated Mr Johnson's maths lesson but he had to do it. He didn't care for math he just cared about Basketball, singing and a particular person. A smile appeared on his face as he thought that about that certain person. The person who made him smile everytime that he had walked passed him, the person who when said hi to him made his knees shake and his heart miss a beat. Since the musical things had changed, everyone was treating him different and Ryan and Sharpay had become their friends. He sighed heavenly and grabbed his last book and gently whispered "Ryan" to himself as his thoughts drifted to him. He couldn't believe it when he discovered that he had feelings for Ryan Evans but over time he grew to realise the truth about himself. He was gay. He hadn't told anyone, not even his best friend Chad, he was scared to, and he didn't know what they would think about him. He gave Ryan a smile and a look everytime they passed each other. He hoped Ryan knew why he was doing this but he never had the guts to approach him and tell him. He closed his locker and saw him. Ryan was standing right in front of him.
"Hi Ryan" Troy said looking at Ryan. He looked so cute he said to himself. He was wearing blue jeans, blue top and a blue matching hat. That was one of the things that Troy loved about Ryan, he had great fashion sense and always made sure that his clothes matched. He smiled fondling around with his folder.
"Hi Troy. I need to tell you something" Ryan was completely nervous about this. He had tried to make himself back out this morning from doing this but he couldn't. He knew that he needed to tell him today or he would never be able to tell him. So he took a deep breath and he told him "I'm in love with you Troy Bolton".
Troy just stood there shocked. Had Ryan really just told him that he loved him? He couldn't find his voice, he went to say something but he couldn't. Ryan took this the wrong way and started to leave. He felt a hand on his arm and turned and saw Troy pull him closer to himself. He gently pressed his lips against Ryan's and then quickly pulled back. Ryan looked at him shocked.
"I love you too Ryan Evans" Troy exclaimed dropping his folder to the floor and pulling Ryan into his arms and kissing him properly. He didn't care that people were watching him, making comments and the Cheerleaders crying over him. All he cared about was that he had Ryan, he had eventually told Ryan the truth and he was happy. That was all that really mattered.
