It was night, and the Autobots were on the trail of a Decepticon energy signature. Prowl jumped on a window ledge Jazz looked at Optimus, Elita and Moonracer while Sentinel hid around a corner. Prowl made his move and dived through the window only to find that the signal was coming from a signal beacon.
"It's a signal beacon! We've been duped," said Prowl.
"Deceived by a Decepticon who would have thunk," said Jazz.
"Sentinel?" said Optimus turning to face the corner he was hiding in, but he wasn't there. Then he quickly reached with his com link. "Sentinel, come in! Respond." Prowl jumped to the ground and ran to the others. "Huh, something must have happened. Fanout, let's search the area."
They all ran in different directions. Optimus ran around a corner and saw someone in the shadows wearing a strange helmet. He follows it around a corner to find Sunstorm.
"Optimus Prime, may I just say how much I admire your courage for walking almost into certain doom," said Sunstorm.
"Elita! Moonracer! Prowl! Jazz!" Optimus yelled as they jumped out of nowhere while he pulled his axe out.
"Psych!" said Sentinel, laughing, popping his head from behind Sunstorm. "Ha-ha, you guy should have seen the looks on your faceplates."
It was then that they all noticed that Sunstorm had a pair of stasis-cuffed on.
"Sentinel, you captured Sunstorm?" said Prowl in amazement.
"And did solo crazy," said Jazz stunned.
"If I hadn't hadn't seen it with my optic, I wouldn't have believed it," said Elita.
"I've seen it with my own object, and I still don't believe it," said Moonracer looking at Sentinel suspiciously.
"Nice work. How do you do it?" Optimus asked.
"Oh, he was brilliant brilliant," said Sunstorm. "You would be so proud of him. Never before have I witnessed such a sneaky—"
"Mute it, motor mouth!" Sentinel yelled as he quickly put a mouth clap on him.
"Huh, that odd Sentinel never cuts someone off when he's been praised," Optimus whispered.
"I just got a feeling in my solenoids that we were being tracked," said Sentinel simply. "Rather than alert you all and give it away, I just dropped back and circle around and nail him cold, isn't that right sunny old boy."
Sunstorm then tried to talk, but all they could hear was his muffled voice.
They made their way back to the Steelheaven, and that's when they discovered that Sentinel hadn't just captured Sunstorm but also Blitzwing, Skywarp and Thundercracker, all of whom had stasis cuffs and mouths clamped over their mouths. Additionally, there was also Swindle, who was stuck in vehicle mode as well.
"You got two Starscream clones, Swindle and Blitzwing too," said Optimus as Sentinel put Sunstorm in a holding cell.
"You got to be kidding me," said Elita.
"It's no joke, but Swindle was stuck in vehicle mode," said Sentinel simply. All I had to do was pay a fine and tow him away. But Blitzy and the clones here are something else."
"Brother, please scan picture of me with Decepticon scums for fan bots back home," said Jetstorm as he posed himself in front of Blitzwing.
"Right, brother," said Jetfire and held up the camera. "Be smiling." Then he took a picture. "Sentinel Prime, sir, tell please…"
"How did you making to capture this badness bot?" Jetstorm asked.
"Yes, Sentinel. How did you capture this badness bot?" Optimus asked.
"Come on, Optimus, I told you already," Sentinel said.
"You told me how you got the drop on him, not who you actually bet the Starscream let alone how the rest of us heard a fight," said Optimus as he walked up to Sentinel.
"Because I'm that good," said Sentinel narrowing his optics as he leaned towards Optimus.
"Well, can you at least remove the mouth claps?" Optimus asked.
"Yes, they might have information regarding the whereabouts of the other Decepticons," said Elita.
"This is an Elite Guard matter now; it doesn't concern you guys," said Sentinel stubbornly. "If that's a problem, take it out with Ultra Magnus."
"I would, but the Cybertron communication network is still down, as you know," Optimus pointed out.
"I'm sure people back would like to know how a loan Autobot managed to capture four cons in a single solar cycle," said Moonracer as her camera hovered behind her.
Sentinel then started to make his way out of the brick. "Need I remind you, the last time we treated a Decepticon well, he blew a hole in the Elite Guard flag ship and escaped. SO DON'T TELL ME HOW TO DO MY JOB."
Optimus narrowed his optics.
A few minutes later, Optimus, Elita, Moonracer and Prowl were walking down a corridor.
"He's not telling us everything," said Optimus.
"That's the understatement of the stellar cycle," said Prowl.
"This is Sentinel we are talking about," Elita reminded them.
"Yes, but Sentinel never wastes a chance to brag," said Moonracer.
"There's something else. I saw something tonight, a bot wearing a strange helmet," said Optimus.
"A helmet, what kind of helmet?" Prowl asked.
When they got back to base, they accessed the computer terminal so that Optimus could identify the distinctive helmet the robot was wearing.
"No, but that's getting closer," said Optimus as they looked at a helmet like one Ultra Magnus wore. The screen changed to a helmet that looked like the one Blitzwing wore. "Uh, that's not it." Then a black and dark gold colour helmet with two long horns popped up. "That's it!"
Prowl was shocked, and he turned to face Optimus. "Are you certain that's the helmet you saw?" Prowl asked.
"Absolutely," said Optimus.
Prowl then looked at the screen and, through back to the days, started his cyber ninja training.
During the Great War, the Autobots were forced to construct their own citizens to fight against the Decepticons. However, Prowl had no interest in taking part in the war and tried to escape, but he ended up getting caught by a large red Autobot mech with a laser cannon on his chest named Warpath.
Warpath then took into the cyber ninja dojo, which was under the stewardship of an old mech named Yoketron.
"Take a holo-scan; it'll last one longer," said Prowl.
"Quiet, you waste of spark," said Warpath dropping him onto the ground hard.
"Thank you, Warpath," said Yoketron. "You may remove the stasis cuffs."
"You sure, Master Yoketron? He's a feisty one," Warpath warned.
Yoketron merely nodded.
Warpath then bent down and began removing the stasis cuffs. "Ask me; he should trust in the stockade. Any Autobot that won't fight Decepticons is no better than a Con himself. We're at war."
"It's not my war!" Prowl yelled.
"Then maybe I should take you outside and make it your war," Warpath threatened.
"I believe I can take it from here," said Yoketron.
"Bam! Pow! Lousy a draft-dodging peacenik," Warpath grumbled as he exited the dojo.
Prowl looked at Yoketron, looking outraged. "Why should I risk my chasse for anyone? No one risked their chasse for me!"
"Keeping you out of the stockade, I am risking something for you," Yoketron pointed out. "But if you're willing to learn, that risk could be very rewarding."
"A rusty old bolt bucket like you teach me anything?" Prowl scoffed as he rose to his feet. "Doubtful."
Yoketron merely chuckled. "I'll make you a deal. If you can get out the door before I stop you, you are free to go, and all charges will be dropped."
Prowl looked at the door and then back to Yoketron with a large smirk on his face. "See ya!"
He then transformed into vehicle mode and dashed towards the door, but when he was just a few feet away from it, Yoketron appeared out of nowhere and kicked him. The kick forced him to transform back into robot mode, and then Yoketron dealt him a few powerful blows before you get a chance to counter. The next thing he realised, he crashed into a display case, which landed on top of him and pinned him to the ground.
Yoketron walked up to him and then tossed the display case right across the room, causing it to smash into bits. Prowl was just stunned, Yoketron hadn't even transformed and still managed to catch up to him, and the strength we showed was unreal.
"If you care to learn, you may stay and make yourself useful," said Yoketron as Prowl rose to his feet. He then pulled out a mop spun it around his head, and handed it to him. "You can start by cleaning up this mess."
Back in the present, Optimus could tell that something was up with Prowl.
"Prowl do you know something about that helmet?" he asked.
Prowl didn't answer and immediately transformed into vehicle mode and drove off.
"I would take that as a yes," said Elita.
"Why do I get the feeling that Sentinel has gotten himself into trouble once again?" Moonracer frowned.
Prowl arrived at the Steelheaven and talked to Jazz on the bridge.
"You're saying our old sensei is on earth bagging Decepticons, and Sentinel is taking all the credit?" said Jazz. "Even though no seen Yoketron in—"
"In a million stellar cycles," Prowl finished. "I know it sounds farfetched."
"Even Sentinel ain't that greasy," said Jazz.
"Whose greasy?" a voice behind them said. They turned around to see Sentinel walking into the room.
"Last night, when you captured Sunstorm, did you see Master Yoketron?" Prowl asked.
"What ha-ha Yoketron?" Sentinel laughed. "Is that rust heap even still online?" Prowl and Jazz just looked at each other. "Anyway, I'm heading out on another proctor. Don't wait up."
They then watched as Sentinel left the bridge.
"Hm, something ain't right," Jazz frowned.
Sentinel was driving around, and Prowl and Jazz were shadowing him. But when they followed Sentinel around a corner, he disappeared.
"Okay stealthy ain't exactly SP strong suit," said Jazz.
"So, where we go?" Prowl asked.
Prowl then began thinking back to when he was training under Master Yoketron; even in the short time he had been at the dojo, he had learned quite a lot, and he wanted to put it to the test. Using his holo-projector, he disguised himself as a display case and waited until Yoketron walked by.
The moment he did, he turned off his holo-projector and attempted to grab him from behind. However, Yoketron sensed him and flipped him over his shoulder and onto the floor.
"How did you I was there?" Prowl asked. "My holo-projector—"
"it is a cyber ninja, not the weapon that is important," said Yoketron. "You have a skilled young one and great potential, but you must develop the first to fulfil the second."
He then began removing Prowl's holo-projector and jump jets, much to his dismay.
"Wait! Without my gear, I'm nothing!" Prowl protested.
"And nothing is where we must begin," said Yoketron.
Prowl had stood for so long that he didn't even notice that Jazz had transformed into his vehicle mode.
"No point idling here all night. Let's hit it," said Jazz.
Jazz then drove off, and Prowl transformed to vehicle mode, following right behind him.
Jazz then drove off with Prowl following him right behind him.
When they returned to the Steelheaven, they frowned at both Jetfire and Jetstorm working to repair their communications system.
"Curse interspace guides gyro-stabiliser! Work already." Jetstorm cursed.
"Oh, hello, mister Jazz, sir," said Jetfire noticing them entering. "Sentinel Prime wishes to see you in brig."
Both Prowl and Jazz looked at each other.
Prowl and Jazz were amazed to see that Sentinel had captured Lugnut, who was wearing stasis cuffs and a mouth clap, along with Optimus, Elita and Moonracer.
"Not that is really impressive, Sentinel, but could you wait till morning to gloat?" Optimus asked.
"Why, Optimus, you old hubcap, your jealous," Sentinel smirked.
"What jea—why would I be jealous?" Optimus asked.
"Well, maybe because I captured Megatron's top lieutenants in just a few solar cycles," Sentinel smirked.
"Sentinel Prime, sir, please tell us…" said Jetfire.
"How you making capture this time?" Jetstorm finished.
"He wasn't expecting the oil piston drop and a fender bender, huh? It's all about leverage," said Sentinel as he made a few poses. Then Jetfire and Jetstorm did a high five. "Now, ought there something else, uh, you guys should be going?"
"Subspace guides gyro-stabiliser?" they both said in unison.
"But replacement subspace guides gyro-stabiliser is missing," said Jetstorm.
"With all due respect, Sentinel Prime, the shear unlikely hood of you capturing Decepticons solo when it taken all of us to beat just one of them," said Prowl said.
"What are you suggesting?" said Sentinel glaring at him.
"That you had help."
"What are you talking about?" Sentinel asked.
"The Starscreams are missing their blasters," said Prowl at clones, then he pointed at Blitzwing. "Blitzwing is missing his cannons. Only one bot I know takes his victim's primary moderations."
Sentinel then walked up to Prowl and glared at him. "Are you calling a superior officer a liar?"
"Lugnut explosives mod have gone if you captured him; where is it?" Prowl demined.
"Well, I have to be a real glitch head not to remove explosives from a prisoner, couldn't I?" said Sentinel as he made his way to a and then showed them Lugnut's explosive mods. " So any false executions you what to make or should I just COURT-MARTIAL YOU RIGHT NOW!"
Prowl sighed and walked away, and Sentinel then walked up to Optimus.
"Anything you want to tell me?" Optimus asked.
"Oh, you love being the hero, but as soon as somebody else wants a turn you want, you can't take the heat," said Sentinel. "So back off Optimus and tell you're the perfect excuse for a ninja-bot to remember his place, or I'll bust him back to PROTOFORM!".
The words echo down the hallway where Prowl was walking. He paused and began to think back again.
Prowl's training with Yoketron was progressing with leaps and bounds. He was now sparring against his master while blindfolded.
"Fly turbo piston attack!" said Yoketron dealing Prowl with some powerful kicks, which he blocked. He then immediately countered, swinging his fist at his master's face, but stopped when it was just a few inches away.
Yoketron smiled as Prowl backflipped and kneeled before him. "You have made great strides, Prowl; now you are a cyber ninja worthy of a weapon."
He walked up to Prowl and removed his blindfold. He then presented him a case filled with a pair of shuriken.
"Thank you, master," said Prowl humbly and took the weapons.
Afterwards, Yoketron took him to the hidden sanctum within the dojo, an area which he had forbidden to enter. Inside he could find several busts of cyber ninjas, though one remained empty.
"Soon, you will take your place among your cyber ninja brothers," said Yoketron gesturing to the busts.
Prowl's optics turned the empty podium. "Is that space for?"
"A former student, who brought shame to the Cyber Ninja Corp," said Yoketron regrettably and then guided Prowl to the large metal door. "But let us not dwell on the past."
Prowl examined the door, but there didn't appear to be a lock or a keypad to open it. Yoketron stood in front of the door and then began humming, then began moving his arms in a slow-moving action. Then suddenly, the door opened, and the crystal lock in the centre hovered upwards towards the ceiling, much to Prowl's astonishment.
"How did you…?"
"Processor over matter, an advanced ninja bot discipline," Yoketron explained as they entered the sanctum.
Once inside, Prowl could see hundreds of protoforms in pods around a spiral in the centre of the sanctum.
"This is our mission, to guard these protoforms," Yoketron explained. "They are the future of Cybertron, but if Project Omega fails, we will have no choice but to mould them all for a surge against the Decepticons. I fear that few will survive. Prowl, you have advanced so quickly that you could be my greatest student. If you can master the principles processor over matter."
He then guided him back outside, and they stopped in front of the door.
"Now, close the chamber," Yoketron instructed.
"Me?" Prowl stared.
"If you are to guard the chamber, you must be able to open and close it. Only fully realised cyber ninja are trusted with its contents."
Prowl turned to face the door and began humming and moving his arms exactly like Yoketron did moments ago. The crystal then hovered down from the ceiling, and the doors began to close around it but stopped when it was moments away from interacting with the crystal.
"I-I'm sorry, master," said Prowl looking ashamed.
"You have the spark within you; you simply have to locate it," said Yoketron. "That is why I am sending you on an optics quest. Find your spark, Prowl and return is a cyber ninja I know you to be."
Prowl bowed and then began to leave.
Back in the present, Prowl was making his way down the corridors of the Steelhaven when he suddenly saw Sentinel coming down the hallway. He then quickly activated his holo-projector and disguised himself as a storage unit,
Sentinel was just about to walk past him when he got a message on his comlink.
"Sentinel here," said Sentinel. "Already! Where?"
Sentinel opened the storage unit next to him and pulled out a gyro-stabiliser. Once he got it immediately began to leave, and Prowl deactivated his holo-projector. He followed Sentinel outside and watched as he transformed to vehicle mode and drove off to who knows where.
"Jazz, this is Prowl," said Prowl, messaging Jazz, who was currently in his room. He then transformed to vehicle mode and began to follow Sentinel. "Sentinel is heading north through Detroit.
"Stay with him, and I'll grab some backup," said Jazz.
He saw Sentinel enter the Tigatron Stadium, and he followed him and saw him walking to a bot that had captured Ramjet, Thrust and Dirge.
"Got those gyro-stabilisers you wanted bounty hunter," said Sentinel.
"Bounty hunter sounds so formal; we've business partners now. You can call me Lockdown," said Lockdown as he removed his helmet.
Then Prowl drove towards them and transformed into robot mode.
"Lockdown, I thought you were behind this," said Prowl and turned towards Sentinel. "Until you showed me Lugnut's mode!"
"Thought that throw you off the scent. But I really do need that gyro-stabiliser," said Lockdown as he put his helmet back on.
"Which you stole from your own ship," said Prowl glaring at Sentinel.
"So you are right, big deal," said Sentinel dismissively. "You bots make such a cloud of exhaust, but I capturing them."
"And here we are completely disarmed and helpless," said Ramjet.
Prowl's optics widened. "Wait! Everything he says is a lie! Sentinel, it's a trap!"
Sentinel optics widened. He turned around in time to see the Starscream clones removing the stasis cuffs. Then, before he could react, Ramjet jumped on him and placed the stasis cuffs on him.
"Hey! We had a deal!" Sentinel yelled and yelled in pain as the stasis cuffs activated.
"Sorry par, they offed me a better deal more upgrades and Energon," Lockdown explained.
"The price of freedom is never too high," said Dirge.
"I'm so jealous that I could never come up with such a plan," said Thrust.
Ramjet then took off with Sentinel with him; Prowl used his jump jets and managed to grab Sentinel's leg. However, Lockdown jumped and grabbed and pulled him to the ground. Prowl then began trading blows with him, but Lockdown easily blocked them and kicked them away.
"What was that supposed to be, Metallikato amateurs?" Lockdown scoffed. Then Prowl threw his shurikens at Lockdown, but he ducked, and again they started to trade blows, but Lockdown blocked them with ease. "And now Circuit-Su, I'd laugh it wasn't so pathetic."
"How do you know Circuit-Su?" Prowl asked.
"Never cared much for Yoketron spiritual crud, but I did like that helmet," Lockdown smiled.
Prowl drove into the dojo after failing to achieve his enlightenment.
"Master Yoketron, forgive me," said Prowl as he transformed into robot mode. "I tried, but—"
He stopped when he realised for the first time the dojo was completely wrecked, it was clear that a massive battle had taken place. He quickly rushed into the sanctum where the doors had been blasted wide open and found Yoketron lying down on the floor, badly damaged and his helmet missing. All the pods containing the protoforms were empty.
"Master Yoketron!" Prowl yelled and quickly rushed to his master's side. "Master, what happened?"
"Ambushed… took the protoforms…" he said weakly.
"Who took them? Who did this?"
"Now… I join the Well of AllSparks," said Yoketron.
"Master, no! I need you online!" Prowl pleaded.
Prowl could see that Yoketron's spark was beginning to fade, and he had an idea of how to save. It was slim, but it was his only choice. He quickly began to scale down the chasm, examining each of the protoform pods until he found one that wasn't empty.
"Whoever he was, he didn't take all of the protoforms," he said and grabbed it.
He then quickly climbed up and then placed the protoform next to Yoketron. The next part was a delicate procedure, he removed Yoketron's spark chamber, and the moment he did, the colour from Yoketron's body faded. He then inserted the spark chamber into the protoform, and then it began to mould until it became an exact replica of Yoketron's original body, except without the armour.
Yoketron looked up at Prowl with a disappointed look. "Prowl, what have you done?"
Prowl looked at him, confused. "I-I brought you back."
"You must not sacrifice a piece of the future to bring back the past. Someday, when your time comes, you will understand."
He then leaned back on the ground, and his spark distinguished, and his new body also lost its colour.
"No," said Prowl.
Back in the present, Prowl finally realised who attacked the dojo and slew his master.
"You lead the attack at the fortress," said Prowl glaring at Lockdown. "You took the protoforms!"
"If my first act as a bounty hunter was betraying my sacred sensei, everything since has been easy," said Lockdown.
In anger, Prowl then charged at Lockdown.
Meanwhile, the Starscream clones were hovering over the stadium with Ramjet still holding onto Sentinel. When suddenly, they were struck by a fire blast and a hurricane wind.
"What the spark was that?" Ramjet asked.
"I think it was them," said Thrust pointing at Jetstorm and Jetfire as he flew towards them. "I do wish that I had their abilities."
Jetstorm and Jetfire then transformed into robot mode and struck them with fire and wind blasts. They hit them with such enough force that they fell from the sky screaming, landing in the car park. Then Optimus, Elita, Moonracer and Jazz entered the car park, and they transformed into robot mode.
"Step away from the Autobot," Optimus ordered.
"What? This isn't my Autobot; I'm just holding him for a friend," said Ramjet.
"There's no way we're gonna let you steal are hostage; he's ours!" said Dirge.
Meanwhile, in the stadium, Prowl was punching Lockdown constantly in a rage until finally, he pinned him down to the ground.
"Give me Yoketron's helmet," Prowl demanded.
Lockdown slow took off the helmet and gave it to Prowl, but then a tangle of cables wrapped Prowl and Lockdown tossed Prowl over his head. Prowl attempted to free himself, but every time resisted, the stronger it seemed to get.
"The more you struggle, the fasts that booby-trap will crush you into scrap," said Lockdown, and then he began to decloak his ship. "But I'll take both your modes before it finishes the job."
He grabbed Prowl and took him to his ship, and laid him on an operating table. Prowl then saw a sidecar that looked very familiar.
"That armour," he said.
"Recognise it? It's a reproduction of the one I leant you about. Figure I modify it for myself, and your jump jet and holo-projector will make it perfect," said Lockdown as he got ready with the removal.
Prowl looked at the helmet and began humming as he heard the voice of his former master. "Processor-over-matter. It is a cyber-ninja, not the weapon."
The binds around Prowl then started to become loose.
Meanwhile, outside the Death's Head, the Starscream clones were still battling it out against the Autobots. Ramjet was holding Sentinel as a shield and blasted at Optimus and Jazz.
"Hold still, Autobots; we can work this out in a friendly manner," said Ramjet.
Thrust was flying overhead, firing his null rays, but Elita used her jump boosters to fight him at his level. She then pulled out her blades and swung them at him, but he used his null rays to protect himself.
"I do wish that I could fight as elegantly as you," said Thrust.
"Keep wishing," said Elita and then fired webbing at his face blinding him.
Dirge was on the ground firing at Moonracer, who was skating around the stadium.
"Perhaps I should follow the bounty hunter's lead and steal all your mods," he said.
Moonracer then skated towards him and kicked him across his waist, causing him to wince in pain.
Ramjet was now firing at the jet twins, who just avoided his null rays and combined into Safeguard. Jazz then ran up to Ramjet, swinging his fist, but he lifted Sentinel, making Jazz hit him instead.
"Argh!" Sentinel squealed. Then Safeguard kicked and again hit Sentinel. "Argh!"
Jazz then swung his nunchaku at Ramjet's leg, and Optimus used his grapple, grabbed one of Sentinel's shoulder plates, and pulled him and Ramjet to the ground. Ramjet then activated his jet and to off with Sentinel and Optimus, who still had his grapple stuck on Sentinel. Optimus then fired his fire extinguisher and blinded Ramjet, which made him drop Sentinel along with Optimus. Optimus managed to land on the ground without any problems, but Sentinel went head-first into the ground.
Elita managed to plunge her blade into Thrust, injecting her cyber venom and causing him to fall back to the ground. However, Dirge then blasted and knocked her into the stands, and Moonracer quickly moved in, dealing a few blows to his face plate.
Meanwhile, inside the Death's Head, Lockdown had just turned around to discover that Prowl had freed himself and was now sitting cross-legged on the table. Additionally, he was now wearing the new samurai armour combined with Yoketron's helmet.
"Huh, how did you get out?" Lockdown asked only the look on Prowl's faceplate told him what he needed to know. "Processor-over-matter, huh? Nice never got the hang of it." Lockdown activated his chainsaw arm and slashed at Prowl, only to discover that it was a hologram. "Couldn't resist that old armour, though, could ya? What makes you think you can handle it this time?"
Then Prowl appeared behind him, but when Lockdown looked behind him, he was gone. Then Prowl appeared behind him and kicked him.
"I've learned something since then. It's the ninja-bot, not the weapon," said Prowl before he kicked him off the ship.
Meanwhile, Safeguard unleashed a fiery hurricane at Ramjet, making him crash to the ground, and Moonracer performed a powerful spin kick knocking Dirge into the back of him. Optimus and Jazz were in the process of dropping the stadium's scoreboard onto the Ramjet. But Prowl and Lockdown get in the way at the last second before they can stop the giant screen's tumble.
"PROWL!" Optimus shouted.
Both he and Jazz ran to see the stands, Elita and Moonracer rushed over and Safeguard flew down and split back into Jetstorm and Jetfire. As the dust cleared, they discovered that Prowl had used processor-over-matter to protect them from the debris.
"Whoa, bro. P-over-M," said Jazz, amazed.
Optimus, Elita and Moonracer them and up to the clones.
"Huh, that didn't hurt," said Ramjet before Optimus put a pair of stasis cuffs on him.
Elita and Moonracer then did the same thing to Thrust and Dirge.
Everybody looked up to see Lockdown's ship leaving and then heard Sentinel, who is head was still stuck in the ground.
"Hey, there a little help here," said Sentinel's muffled voice.
Once they freed Sentinel and locked up the clones in the Steelheaven's break, they made their way onto the bridge. The twins had finally managed to make contact with Cybertron, and Optimus planned on reporting Sentinel's conduct.
"Communities ok for dokey," said Jetfire said. Then Cliffjumper's face appeared on the screen.
"Cliffjumper! Optimus Prime, we have vital information," said Optimus.
"I'm afraid we do to Optimus," said Cliffjumper regretfully. "About fifty mega-cycles ago, Ultra Magnus was attacked by the Decepticon traitor Shockwave."
"Is Ultra Magnus…?"
"In recovery," Cliffjumper assured him. "But Shockwave got away with his Magnus Hammer and did a number on are commutations network. As you would imagine, we've in serious flunks here. Now, what did you have to report?"
Optimus looked at Sentinel, who looked extremely nervous.
"We, uh, captured several of Megatron's top lieutenants," said Optimus causing everyone to stare at him.
"First good news we have in solar cycles. Who's the hero bot?" Cliffjumper asked.
"His name is Prowl."
"So noted. Sentinel, anything to add?" Cliffjumper asked.
"Uh, no!" Sentinel said.
"Then I suggest you get back to Cybertron state Cliffjumper out."
Then the screen went blank.
"Nice job on the cover story. But did you have to give the ninja-bot all the credit?" Sentinel asked.
"I don't see why you had to cover for him at all," said Moonracer.
"Because for better or worse, Sentinel is second-in-command of the Elite Guard, and if we reported him, there would be a power vacuum," Elita explained.
Optimus nodded and then narrowed his eyes at Sentinel. "There are more important things happening on Cybertron than your little power trip, Sentinel. But when the smoke clears, you and I, we're going to have it out."
Prowl was busy back at base, trimming the tree in his room, and then Jazz entered the room.
"Diggin' the new armour, especially Yoketron's helmet. He'd be proud to have you wear it," Jazz commented.
"Thank you. I plan to do everything in my power to be worthy of it," said Prowl.
