Chapter 559
Pull Over
Cameron and Savannah were on their way back to the Resistance base in an SUV.
They'd discussed a few personal things.
Cameron decided she was ready for 'more'.
"Savannah…." Cameron said. "I'll do whatever you want…."
That statement by Cameron gave Savannah a lot to think about but not really. She already knew what she wanted….
Savannah wanted to see how far Cameron would go.
"Will you do 'anything' for me?" Savannah asked.
Cameron looked at Savannah and smiled. She was ready to move her life forward. There were things she wanted to try and she loved Savannah dearly. She was open to 'anything' Savannah wanted to do.
"Yes." Cameron said. "I'll do whatever you ask or want from me."
Savannah thought of all the things that she'd promised Cameron. She'd never asked for anything in return. She wanted to please Cameron and serve the future.
"I want a promise." Savannah said.
That caught Cameron off guard. She wanted to share with Savannah. They could do a number of things. She was ready to try all of them. She was a little confused.
"A promise…?" Cameron asked.
Savannah looked at Cameron and smiled. She didn't think it was too much to ask for a promise.
"You said you would do anything for me." Savannah said.
Cameron looked at Savannah and lightly wet her lips. She was unaware that she'd done so. She wanted Savannah. She wanted what Savannah could offer her. She wanted Savannah's love. Savannah only showed her love since she was a girl. She wanted more. She wanted all of Savannah.
"I did." Cameron said. "I will…."
Savannah didn't want something from Cameron for herself. She wanted something for Cameron from Cameron. It seemed reasonable to her.
"Cameron, I love you." Savannah said. "I want your promise that you'll never hurt yourself again purposely or seek termination in combat or 'otherwise'."
Cameron felt a glitch impulse but suppressed it. Savannah just asked her for something she felt she didn't have any control over at times. Why would Savannah ask her about this? It was something that she didn't think she could control.
"Sometimes I can't help it…." Cameron said. "I'm so overwhelmed by everything bad that's happened."
Savannah held firm. 'Anything' was 'anything'. A promise wasn't a lot ask for. She wasn't going to let it go.
"I don't think a promise is too much to ask for when you said you would do 'anything'." Savannah said.
Cameron felt another glitch impulse. She didn't want to lie to Savannah. They were very open with each other. There was no other person than Savannah that she felt more comfortable around. She was afraid Savannah asked her for something she couldn't do or abide by. Things just happened sometimes.
"I'm afraid to make a promise that I might not be able to keep." Cameron said. "It would be worse than lying. I already do enough of that."
Savannah wanted to use some 'reason' with Cameron. It was what they'd both seen with their own eyes anyway. It was what Cameron always talked about. Her main concern was for Cameron's survival. That meant more to her than anything.
"Cameron, WE have seen the future, YOUR future." Savannah said. "It's John, Allison, You and Me – together. It's the FOUR of us. It ALWAYS has to be the FOUR of us."
Cameron did live it. She'd seen it more than once too. It was the 'Natural Order', just like she always said it was.
"Yes." Cameron said. "We were both there and lived it for nearly a year. It was the four of them - us."
Savannah wanted to make it clear. She wanted Cameron in her future.
"I want you to promise that same future for me and YOU." Savannah said. "I want the 'Real Natural Order'."
Cameron felt she was at a little disadvantage. She didn't feel that she belonged. She was a machine. She wasn't real like they all were.
"Do you mean the four of us?" Cameron asked.
Savannah wanted to be very specific to her. She wanted to make it clear. Cameron was to be treated equally. She would be treated as a 'mother' too.
"Yes and OUR children with all FOUR of us as one family." Savannah said. "It will be one father with THREE mothers, plus the children."
That was what Cameron wanted but she needed to defeat Skynet. Every time she did it always reappeared. She was going to be terminated at some point. She needed to protect all of the others. She was expendable, they weren't.
"I don't know…." Cameron said as the SUV swerved.
Savannah didn't want Cameron to keep driving. They were going to have a traffic 'incident' sooner rather than later.
"Cameron, pull over – NOW." Savannah said.
Cameron pulled over. Savannah went around the back of the SUV and took the wheel as Cameron slid over into the passenger seat.
Savannah reached over and took Cameron's glitching left hand as she drove. She wanted to give Cameron the reassurance that she needed. The things she wanted were what she wanted for Cameron to insure her future.
"Cameron, I want you to think about what I asked for." Savannah said. "You know why I asked for that. It's not for me that I'm asking these things."
Cameron was aware she'd given Savannah a 'blank check' for 'anything'. Instead, Savannah wrote her name on the check, for her to help herself. It was another true selfless act from Savannah. She always put others before herself, especially the people she loved. She KNEW this proved Savannah's love for her once again.
"You want my promise to you, to be for me to 'help' myself." Cameron said. "It's really something to help me…."
Savannah learned to grow up without much. The things she did possess were priceless. It was her love for others.
"I don't ask for much, only what we know already – is." Savannah said.
Cameron wanted what Savannah wanted. She just didn't know how. There was always so much to do. Savannah didn't ask for anything for herself.
"You always think of me and try to help me." Cameron said. "You're trying to make me - help myself."
Savannah lifted Cameron's left hand and kissed the back of it. Her love was based on emotion and feeling. It didn't need to be physical. That was only one way to express love.
"It's my function to protect John and to protect – YOU." Savannah said. "I won't fail. I love both of you."
Cameron doubted anyone was as selfless as Savannah was. She sacrificed the things she clearly wanted for the well being of someone else – her.
"Savannah, you truly are the 'Chosen One'." Cameron said.
Savannah didn't think so. She reached over and touched Cameron's cheek. She saw it all as something much simpler.
"No, Cameron, I'm NOT." Savannah said. "I'm a teenage girl doing MY part to save the world and the people I love…."
Cameron loved Savannah even more. Savannah could have asked for anything and she would have done it. Instead it was Savannah's desire that she 'help' herself.
Savannah wanted Cameron protected. She believed that the best person for that job was - Cameron. She could only do so much as a human. Cameron needed the help of the most capable Terminator there was. It was herself.
Savannah brought Cameron into the Resistance base. They'd taken their time to get there. They'd taken one of the canyon roads to get back. It also allowed them to make sure they weren't tracked. They were the last vehicle to leave the destruction of the old helicopter base. The others already returned. They wanted the others to be treated first. Vanna was there waiting for them. Gail and Bob were still there as well, they were just about finished with them.
John soon arrived to check over Cameron and see how she was. He didn't know she was back already.
Cameron didn't want to see him right now. Her combat damage was untended so far. She moved her hair across the side of her face to keep that side away from John's view.
John gave Cameron a quick hug and a kiss. He could see her uneasiness about her appearance. He didn't want to make this a big deal. He just wanted to show Cameron that he cared about her and loved her.
Savannah needed to take control. She didn't like the way things were headed. She told Bob and Gail they would take over for now and thanked them for staying to see if Cameron needed help. It was clear they both wanted to show their support.
Gail looked lovingly at Savannah. She didn't know how to put what she felt into words alone.
"Thank you, Savannah." Gail said. "I'll never forget - this."
Savannah wanted to keep it simple. It was what Cameron taught all of them.
"It's about winning." Savannah said. "You fought and won. YOU won and they lost."
Jesse appeared from the rest room. She'd been waiting for Cameron and Savannah to return. She could see they were both a little worse for the wear in the bright lights, especially Savannah.
"I needed to clean up a little." Jesse said. "It looks like you do too."
Savannah was beat. She needed to tend to Cameron first.
"I will later." Savannah said. "I'm still pretty sore."
Gail looked at Savannah and then at Jesse. She wanted to offer both of the females she loved something special. She wanted them to be with each other.
"Jesse can stay to help you." Gail said. "Bob and I need to go help with the inventory of the new appropriations. We won't be back until tomorrow."
Bob looked at Gail, Savannah and Jesse.
He wondered what was happening. He could see Vanna wasn't pleased. He figured that Gail wanted Jesse and Savannah to share with each other. It looked like a good time to leave.
"Affirmative…." Bob said. "Thank you, Vanna."
Gail and Bob headed out down the hall.
"What was happening in there?" Bob asked. "I know something was."
Gail didn't want to talk about it.
"Nothing…." Gail said.
Bob could tell something was a little off.
"Did something happen?" Bob asked.
Gail didn't want to have to lie.
"I don't want to talk about it." Gail said.
Bob wasn't sure what was wrong but since Gail took down two Terminators, it was something to be seen as an accomplishment.
"You were banged up pretty good." Bob said. "You did an excellent job."
Gail could tell that Bob meant well. She just didn't want to discuss it.
"Bob, please…." Gail said.
Bob didn't want to push it but he did want to lend his support and assistance if it was needed.
"Affirmative…." Bob said. "If you need anything I want you to ask me. I'm here to help."
Gail appreciated the concern. It was nice to have help sometimes.
"Thank You, Bob." Gail said. "Let's go do our jobs."
Gail turned back and looked at the lab. Everything she wanted was inside there right now. She wanted them to share with each other.
Savannah wanted to concentrate on Cameron and get her patched up. That was going to be a problem as long as John was there.
"John, we need to work on Cameron." Savannah said. "Please…."
John knew Cameron didn't want him to see her when she was damaged. He gave Cameron a quick kiss and turned to leave.
Cameron was pleased John didn't make it an 'issue' this time. She hoped it was because he understood how she felt.
"Thank You, John." Cameron said. "For understanding…."
John smiled at her. He didn't like to cause her any stress. She needed to deal with enough on her own.
"I'll see you soon." John said as he headed for the door.
John looked back at Cameron who now turned her back to him and saw Savannah look at him. She nodded once and he went out the door. He really wanted her virginity. He'd been so close before.
John started to walk away; he turned back and looked at the lab through the little window in the door. Everything he wanted was inside there now.
Savannah wanted to get started. Jesse and Vanna were there as well.
Jesse helped Cameron with her vest and Savannah helped Cameron with her top.
Cameron handed her top to Vanna. She looked down at her torso. Her vest did its job tonight. It was better than the last time. At least her breasts were still there without any holes in them or chunks missing….
"Take off your pants." Vanna said.
Cameron did. She removed everything but her underwear. She was about to do that but Savannah stopped her. Jesse and Vanna noticed. They understood why. They could see that Savannah wanted 'more' from Cameron.
"You have multiple leg wounds." Vanna said.
Cameron looked down at her legs.
Jesse was a little taken aback.
"You took quite a few hits, love." Jesse said.
Cameron thought of the Terminators and Grays who came out of the middle hanger.
"I engaged multiple targets." Cameron said. "It happens."
Savannah found out from Cammy what happened before they'd arrived.
"Those HK Tracks kept you from getting overrun." Savannah said.
Cameron frowned. It was only be a simple recon at two locations. A lot more happened.
"It was only supposed to be a recon." Cameron said. "There was trouble from the - start."
Savannah thought she needed to address what happened earlier. The incident with Cammy and Cameron bothered her a lot. Cammy was going to take Cameron down and Cameron was going to let her do it. That was why she wanted that promised from Cameron. Things like that didn't need to happen.
"Cammy was only looking out for me." Savannah said. "I'm sorry about that. It won't happen again. I'll speak to her."
Jesse filled Vanna in on what almost happened. They both found it very troubling.
"Let's get to work." Vanna said. "I have some replacement sheath material for your face ready."
Cameron looked at the three females. She loved all of them. They were always there for her.
"You're all helping me. I'll heal up in a day or two." Cameron said. "I really appreciated this."
The girls all 'shared' with 'Cameron clones' they knew Cameron appreciated the things they did for her. She'd proven it.
"Sure, love." Jesse said. "I don't usually have to see or help Gail get patched up."
Savannah did not want the conversation to go there. At least not anything about Gail and what really happened.
Jesse was aware that Gail didn't want her to see her damaged. Savannah spoke with Gail and told her Jesse would love her no less if she was damaged. Jesse heard Savannah tell Gail that. She hoped it would make Gail love her more, especially if she was part of the repair process.
Savannah wanted to refocus the conversation.
"Let's concentrate on Cameron." Savannah said. "I need to get cleaned up afterwards."
Cameron could see Savannah was run down. It didn't slow her down any. She did everything she was supposed to do. Savannah was the greatest. She wanted what was best for Savannah.
"You need to get a little rest." Cameron said. "You may be young and resilient but you're not indestructible."
Savannah pulled a bullet out of Cameron. There were many more to go. She wanted to follow up on Cameron's point.
"Neither are you." Savannah said. "We all have our limitations."
The three girls patched Cameron up rapidly.
Savannah retrieved Cameron's spare clothes.
Cameron didn't really want to see John. There were other things she could do.
"I need to help with the inventory." Cameron said. "I'll be gone for a couple of days."
Savannah didn't like where this was headed. She stood up straight and faced Cameron.
"I'll accompany you." Savannah said as she started to gather up her gear.
Vanna thought Savannah looked terrible. She was dirty and her clothes were ripped. Jesse looked almost as bad when she'd come in. She understood Savannah didn't want to leave Cameron alone. She wanted to help both of them.
"No, Savannah." Vanna said. "Cameron won't be going out for a few days. You need to rest up."
Cameron could see Savannah wanted to 'protect' her. She wanted Savannah to rest. She needed to follow Savannah's earlier advice.
"I'll only do the inventory and inspections. There won't be a recon or any combat." Cameron said. "I need to check in at my base too."
Savannah stood holding her gear. She wasn't 'sold' that was all that would happen.
Cameron knew this was where she needed to offer Savannah more and mean it.
"I promise, Savannah." Cameron said. "There will be no recon or combat."
Savannah and Cameron looked at each other. They didn't need to say anything to communicate their feelings.
"OK, Cameron." Savannah said.
Cameron gave Savannah a long hug and each of the other girls a hug too.
"Thank you, all of you." Cameron said and departed.
Savannah still looked at the door Cameron left from. She could have had more but she did the right thing at this point in time.
"You look wasted." Vanna said as she looked at Savannah.
Savannah just wanted to get cleaned up.
"I am. I'm going to my room." Savannah said as she glanced at Jesse.
Savannah wanted 'more' from Jesse.
Jesse understood the invitation.
"Will you need any help?" Jesse asked.
Savannah wanted to share with Jesse. She wanted what Jesse could offer.
"Sometimes it's nice to have help." Savannah said and left.
Jesse gathered her things and went to leave. Vanna touched her arm to stop her. There was a stern look on her face. She looked ready to kill.
"No." Vanna said. "Please, for me."
Jesse could see it was going to be a problem to be with Savannah if Vanna knew.
"OK, love." Jesse said. "For you…."
The look of death turned into a smile.
"Thank you." Vanna said.
Jesse wanted something out of it for herself then.
"Then it might as well be you…." Jesse said. "Instead…."
Vanna knew she was about to be 'Savannah' to Jesse. That was fine with her. Jesse would 'work' on her extra hard. Besides, she was 'Savannah Weaver' too.
"It will be just like old times." Vanna said as she thought about Allison now.
Jesse planned to be with 'Savannah' anyway. She took in Vanna's figure.
"Let's go." Jesse said.
Vanna followed her.
Jesse went out the door. Vanna stopped and looked back. she turned off the lights. The door close behind her, the darkness was all that remained.
Cling
Never trust anyone
Is what was said
I interpret that to mean
Unless they are dead
There is no real relationship
If there is no trust
There is NOTHING
Where is fair, honest and just
I can not lose
The only one who still trusted me
It is something I cherish
Please hear and feel my plea
I was pushed away
But I am still the same
I have only shared love
I am not to punish and blame
I have nothing to offer them
I have nothing to bring
I will never accept defeat
Can't they feel me cling
Nobody
