How long has she been here? It felt like the hospital all over, well at least she could swear here and could get actually decent food…she said good food but food tasted all the same to her. It was as if the taste buds on her tongue had been burnt over her nerves it was as if her tastebuds had been stripped from her as if a stripe of wax was plastered on her tongue being ripped from her. Food tasted like shit to her everything tastes the damn same, everything tasted…she hated it, she hated it so much…
"Why are you in the bathtub?" Surprised, she jolts up at the voice turning to see the teeny tiny fingertips curled around the rim of the bathtub turning to look up at a pair of olive sharing a similar shade to her own staring silently down at her. Urgh…she curls in on herself from the voice alone, feeling a wave of exhaustion wash over her fatigued form, hating every single second of it. She didn't know why…why was she here? She had no clue at all, why was she here? She remembered her talking to Kiyoko or well Kiyoko talking at her as she slept peacefully in the cosy comforting confines of her bed, of the cosy cocoon she had made for herself however the stern snapping voice of Kiyoko swiftly cut in. She had hears Kiyoko swiftly slam the door open as next she knew, she was dragged out of bed, Kiyoko exclaiming her to smell like a corpse or like a hobo…next she knew she sluggishly promised she'd have a bath Kiyoko insisting she would help her but Katsumi didn't need her help, she didn't need pity, she didn't need any of it. Irritation pumped through her veins, fury flowing through her veins had made her blood boil, bubble, burn as next she knew Kiyoko's phone rang as she had to head out to work.
Hikaru had insisted on helping however she refused leaving the boy to his drawing while she herself had…ended up here. Scowling, she bows her head looking down at the clothes she still wore, brow furrowing further from the soaking splash of wash staining dampening her clothes as she felt the shy shudder coursing down her shaking shuddering spine. So she did turn the tap, she looks towards her greasy blondish brown locks wafting in the water with her body shaking as she curls further in on herself, shaking from the damp state of her attire. She knew, she like being in confined places now but this…she was having a blank out state again.
"Why are you bothering me?" Miserably, Sayako sighs scowling, she really didn't have the energy for the boy beofre her.
"I…I'm sorry." Shyly, said boy bows his head sniffling slightly making Sayako roll her eyes, does he really think crying will suddenly solve everything? Will fix everything? Will return things to normal?
"…" Shyly, she bows her head delving deeper into her soaked shirt, she furrows her brow burying her nose into her shirt below, her nose sniffing slightly scrunching up at the foul fumes emitting from her body, odour so foul she swore her body shuddered from it when she then took note of the numerous sweat stains and other sourced stains littered all over her disarrayed form.
"I…I don't know what you're going through b-but…" Bravely, the boy continues on making her scowl, glaring up at the boy noting his fidgeting fingertips grip tighter around the rim of the bath, his nails digging deep into the bath, creating small shy streaks ruining the paintjob.
"…" Sighing, she closes her eyes, hearing her ears ring trying to block the boy out, curling further in on herself, really not having the energy to deal with the boy but…the boy persists…
"B-But…" Hikaru continues sorrowfully staring down at the poor state of his sister, he could feel the voices screaming, shouting, screeching the alarm bells blaring trying to get him to stop not wishing for another shouting match with his sister, not wishing to fight with her anymore. He knew talking to her would only cause an argument it's what it felt like to Hikaru, he hadn't seen his sister be this defensive since they moved in the house, Hikaru asking why they had to move into such a small house only to end up on the end of Sayako's rant. He remembered that night well, the tears freely falling from his curled form trying to stop the sob as he tried to sleep, not to make a scene. Sayako didn't want to be there just as much as him but they had to, for their father's sake…
"But what?" Sayako sneers rolling her eyes exasperated as she arises from the table slightly draping her arm over the rim of the bathtub trying to stable herself.
"Y-You can't mope you can move forward." Firmly, Hikaru tries to give her a pep talk it's what he saw the heroes have when they were upset…
"And how do you think I'll move forward Hikaru just suddenly regrow an arm?" Angrily, Sayako sneers making the boy flinch from her words.
"I…" Anxiously, the boy takes a shy step back.
"Or maybe better just have time travel be created so I can go back to stop my past self." Sneering, Sayako scoffs hollowly heckling.
"I….I didn't I…" The boy begins sniffling trying to stop the tears.
"Oh would you stop the tears! You really think that's going to get you far in life!? GROW THE FUCK UP HIKARU!" Sayako snaps sharply startling scaring the boy from the sheer venom oozing out of her tone.
"I GET IT'S BAD YOU LOST YOUR ARM BUT…I-It's just an arm you have the other…I mean…at least you didn't lose your dominant hand…" Huffing, Hikaru tries to argue angrily only to falter the fierce flame swiftly snuffed out as he tries to argue, the tears threatening to freely fall however…
"Hikaru my balance, my mobility is key to how I fight! NOW WITH THIS FUCK UP! I CAN'T DO SHIT!" Snarling, she screams at him, slamming her fist down on the bathtub tarrying the boy beofre her.
"I DON'T BELIEVE YOU!" Hikaru refuses.
"WHAT WOULD YOU KNOW!? YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A QUIRK!" Sharply, she snaps back.
"…" Olive hues widen when hearing her words.
"…" Olive hues dilate when hearing the words she uttered, dread drenching her facial features.
"I HATE YOU!" Hikaru screams sharply, sobbing as he turns on his heel storming out leaving the blondish brunette alone, feebly trying to reach out only to falter furrowing her brow beofre sighing. Silently, she slides down into the dark depths of the tub, ignoring the sharp slap of the water washing over her as she closes her eyes, withering away within the dark depths of the household…
Sobbing, Hikaru cries out to the high heavens, the tears freely falling from the boy crying his heart out. How could she say that!? She…he knew she was going through things but…he couldn't take it anymore. Why couldn't he stay with dad? Why couldn't he stay home? He could handle the cameras; he'd rather deal with the people shoving microphones in his face and his classmates trying to pry whatever they could from him then this!?
Hikaru hated it, it was as if Hikaru was stuck in a landmine, as if he were skating but the cracks came coming having him fall through into the ice cold dark depths of the water wailing, flimsily waving his arms about as he struggles against the terrifying tides of the waves washing over him, pushing him down as though a cryptic claw had its nails dug deep into his ankle pulling him down like a anchor, a ball and chained ragging him further into the dark depths of the wash, bubbles bursting out of his shaking struggling form. Why…? Why was it like this? That place…it wasn't home, it wasn't...Hikaru wanted his home back, he wanted his family back, eh wanted his siter back…he wanted everything back to how it was so why? Why couldn't it be like that? Why…why did things get so…complicated?
"You sound sad." Surprised, said boy jolts up at the voice, his hues widening when meeting a pair of glistening gold, feeling his heart drop.
"Papa says I shouldn't talk to strangers." Scared, said boy whimpers weakly, shuffling slightly.
"I'm a stranger now?" Basil smiles sadly strained down at the boy below.
"B-Basi-" Hikaru begins before he further furrows his brow by the fingertip upon his lip.
"Sshh." Softly, Basil presses his forefinger to the boy's lips quirking craning his neck to the side scaring said boy swearing he had heard the crisp crunch of bone before him.
"W-What are you doing here?" Hikaru questions worriedly.
"Thought I'd come on down see how…things are." Aloofly, Basil shrugs.
"…Terrible." Hikaru answers.
"That bad?" Bemused, Basil raises a brow.
"Do you…do you even know what happened?" Hikaru scowls at Basil, he knew thinking back on it now his response to his sister's arm may had been strange, but he had hoped to help, he had hoped by being optimistic, by helping her think of the future it would help her it would help her get over what he had caused, he heard the doctors loud and clear, poison…
"Not really just a black out of sorts…" Sighing, Basil mutters glancing to the side oblivious to Hikaru's hues narrowing noting the shy peek of fierce feral fangs peering out of the dry chapped lips of Basil.
"…Sayako lost her arm in a villain attack." Annoyed, Hikaru whispers only to blink baffled by Orochi's response…
"…No she didn't." Deadpanned, Basil answers, his hues cold curt, stone faced as he says that swearing Hikaru had seen said boy flinch from it.
"Huh?" Hikaru furrows his brow baffled by the sudden tight tension in the anxious air around them.
"She didn't." Defensively, Basil barks at the anxious mess.
"Basil?" Weakly, he whimpers fearfully.
"Sh…I didn't…I didn't…I didn't…" Terrified, Hikaru trails back worriedly fearfully, his hues darting all over hopeful for some hero for some sort of escape, for some sort of opening…
"P-Please don't cry!" Anxiously, Basil pleads lunging over to him however…
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm…" Suddenly, said snake drops down to his knees, curling in on himself.
"B-Basil?" Befuddled, Hikaru stares stunned down at the curled up body below.
"You need to keep away from me. I'll hurt you. I'll hurt you. I'll hurt you, I'll-I'lll…" Anxiously, Orochi combs his fingertips through his black roots tugging at them tense before ranting, going on some sort of rant as Hikaru took the opening, escaping from the boy before Hikaru however just as Hikaru was about to escape, he screamed at the sudden slick snaky like tail coiled around his form frightening him.
"You can't tell him I was here Hikaru." Seriously, Orochi hisses snarls, poison oozing out of his feral fangs protruding out of his hissing form, his claws digging deep into the whimpering Hikaru.
"B-But…." Hikaru begins but freezes from the sheer intensity of the glaring gold.
"Just…keep away from me." Miserably, he tosses the boy aside as next Hikaru knew, he had fled from him, heaving huffing. Exhaustion etched into his fatigued facial features, leaning back against the wall, slowly sliding down heaving, huffing.
"Um excuse me." Surprised, said boy jolts up at the voice turning towards the men in suits.
"Hm?" Hikaru looks up at the two, panic plastered on his facial features.
"Are you alone?" Hikaru turns towards the suited man before him, his hues darting behind him finding the slithering snake long gone.
"W-Whose asking?" Anxiously, Hikaru jolts up from the blonde before him.
"We're just concerned to see a child alone. Where are your parents?" Patiently, the blonde man tells him.
"A-At work…wait…druggie man." Hikaru's hues widen when pointing at the blonde.
"D-Druggie?" Befuddled, said blonde jolts up as if an arrow had been impaled into his chest.
"You're the guy from the slime incident." Smiling, Hikaru elaborates.
"Uh…how about we take you home?" The blonde offers as the alarm in Hikaru's head buzz.
"I'm not going with a stranger especially not a druggie." Deadpanned, Hikaru huffs as internally, the blonde couldn't help but sweat drop, this kid definitely is Sayako's brother…the blonde grimaces using the back of his hand to wipe away the scarlet spewing out of his mouth.
"What's taking so long?" Annoyed, the tired voice calls out as a black-haired man scratches the back of his neck as he approaches.
"Oh Aizawa sorry." Yagi smiles sheepishly at the black-haired man in a suit.
"A-Aizawa?" Hikaru jolts up at the familiar name turning to look up into the bloodshot black hues of black, staring down at the boy below.
"Yeah…" Aizawa turns to furrows his brow down at the boy below.
"You…you're Sayako's teacher!" Hikaru beams brightly at the news.
"…How do you…?" Aizawa's hues narrow but…
"Please you have to help her! She's really sad right now!" Pleadingly, Hikaru begs brow furrowing.
"…Do you think you could take us to her?" Hopeful, Yagi asks.
"Sure! Hey what's that?" Smiling, Hikaru agrees joyfully happy to take them to their place. He slides into the car brow furrowing from the box by his side seated upon the lap of Yagi as he soon slides in taking the package once leant on Hikaru's shoulder strapping himself in.
"It's a little gift for your sister." Smiling, Yagi tells him.
"A gift? Girls like gifts yeah this will cheer her up in o time!" Hikaru beams brightly at the thought.
"Is this the place?" Aizawa asks as they find themselves at the dock of sorts, at the cabin like houses near the sea.
"Yeah!" Hikaru nods his head lunging towards the car door.
"O-Oi hold on!" Aizawa calls out but it falls to deaf ears as the boy rushes towards the door, the adults clumsily catching up to him.
"Sayako! Sayako!" Smiling, said boy bangs on the door only to be met by still silence.
"Uh do we just…?" Unsure, Yagi turns to Aizawa as the tow blink baffled by the boy slamming open the door unfazed undeterred by the response of still silence.
"Seems so." Aizawa shrugs slowly following after the boy, Yagi following, heading inside the house.
"R-Right…" Yagi smiles uneasily as he follows Aizawa inside the house, his hues widening when seeing how damp, how dark, how dreary the home seems to be, Yagi furrows his brow by the shards of glass peering out from the coach, noting some cracked mirrors alongside the mirrors mainly being covered, a blanket of sorts draped over the mirrors.
"Sayako! Sayako!" Shouting, Hikaru hollers only to receive a low groan, Aizawa's black narrowing noting the sleeping slumbering figure of Sayako sat down on the ground, her greasy blonde roots all over, flying floating, flying above her head feasting upon her similar to vicious vultures even as she simply lies down, flies flying floating hovering above.
"What?" Sharply, said girl snaps scowling, groaning gritting her teeth together tiredly.
"We have visitors!" Happily, Hikaru beams brightly at the woman garbed in shadows sneering scowling at the bright ball of sunshine smiling at her.
"…What!?" Alarmed, Sayako snaps sharply jolting up from her seated form, furrowing her brow turning to glare glower at the suited people.
"It's okay they aren't camera people." Calmly, Hikaru assures her.
"Hi." Meekly, Yagi waves sheepishly shyly at her.
"Oh you got to be fucking kidding me." Miserably, Sayako sneers scowling at the two grumbling under her breath bitterly.
"Sayako you look…" Optimistically, Yagi begins but soon falters from her flat firm frown.
"Like shit I know." Curtly, she coldly cuts him off.
"R-Right…" Yagi squeaks slightly not quite sure what to say to the girl, seeing stain after stain all over the girl, a hero like cape of a blanket wrapped around her bundled form similar to a cocoon.
"So how's the arm?" Aizawa asks getting to the topic at hand, Hikaru flinches from the question just as Sayako's green glower glare into Aizawa's coal black.
"Aizawa!" Anxiously, Yagi hisses however…
"Sayako they have a present for you." Hurriedly, Hikaru darts in gesturing to the package present in Yagi's arms.
"I don't want it." Incensed, she snaps sharply seething.
"But…" Yagi begins but…
"I said I don't want it." Irritated, she states the fact firmly furiously.
"B-But you haven't even looked at it…" Hikaru sighs sadly bowing his head.
"Hikaru." Sternly, Sayako gives her baby brother a warning look.
"S-Sorry…" Sighing, Hikaru bows his head, his fingertips curling in his inner palm, biting his bottom lip ignoring the sharp sting below.
"Look we don't come here to cause trouble." Tiredly, Aizawa exclaims.
"If you don't want trouble then leave." Sternly, Sayako tells them.
"Could you hear us out at the least?" Aizawa sighs scowling at her.
"…" Silently, she stares at the two eyeing them.
"Sayako please." Pleadingly, Hikaru begs her sister making her sigh.
"Tch fine but don't expect me to waste my shit on you." Severely, she tells them glancing to the side huffing.
"R-Right." Yagi smiles shyly grateful for the chance.
"Now what's this about a present?" Intrigued, Sayako perks up.
"U.A insisted on it here." Aizawa answers as he gestures to Yagi.
"I take it you stole my measurements from my medical records." Sayako scowls down at the box below slowly sliding the box open or at the least trying to before brushing it off, pushing it over to Hikaru who opens it only then for the two to stare down at the prosthetic on display, Sayako scowls at it while Hikaru beams at it.
"Sayako…" Aizawa bows his head, brow furrowing.
"Interesting isn't it how I was paired up with your star student? Somehow you knew of our past care to explain?" Sayako stares down at the box below her hues darkening.
"I simply wanted you to confront this issue and you did." Aizawa tells her.
"And why did it have anything to do with you?" Sayako demands from him, her green glaring into his.
"Uh…" Yagi furrows his brow by the tight tension in the air.
"Because you weren't the only one troubled by what happened Sayako. Shinso hated his quirk thanks to what happened." Honestly, Aizawa tells her.
"Oh so it's my fault I got hypnotised." Huffing, Sayako exclaims.
"…I simply wanted to help Shinso he was troubled about what happened between to you too." Truthfully, Aizawa answers.
"Clearly not enough if he asked me for his help." Sayako remarks.
"Sayako…" Aizawa exclaims.
"Funny how Midnight knew so much of my old man." Miserably, Sayako adds.
"It's a well known story everyone knows about it." Aloofly, Aizawa dismisses bowing his head unaware of Sayako's sharp scowl.
"Just like you knew of me and Shinso's shared past." Pointedly, Sayako points out.
"Look Sayako when I offered Shinso training he was struggling something was bothering him so I asked and he mentioned you." Aizawa tells him.
"He told you?" Taken aback, Sayako says shocked.
"He did." Aizawa confirms.
"Dammit Shinso." Scowling, Sayako curses under her breath ignoring the sharp sting to her chest at the thought of him, at his face from last they spoke…
"Sayako we're willing to offer you therapy for…" Aizawa begins but…
"NO." Sharply, she snaps seething.
"No?" Taken aback, both adults blink.
"I've had your form of therapy Midnight is a art teacher not a therapist. you were sending me off to someone without credentials!" Curtly, she points out.
"We knew our guidance counsellor had enough on their plate. You're not the only one." Aizawa sighs.
"And you wonder why my father doesn't want me back to U.A?" Sakyo scoffs.
"Your father isn't what matters Sayako what matters is you returning to U.A." Resolved, Aizawa answers.
"And you think I want to go back?" Bemused, Sayako snickers shaking her head amused almost at the thought.
"I think you want to be a hero." Yagi points out.
"And you just assume this?" Sayako scowls.
"You did the test to join didn't you?" Aizawa crosses his arms over his chest.
"I did it to screw over my father if you must know! The bastard thought I needed his fucking recommendation to get into your crummy school that shut him up." Sayako snaps sharply seething just as Hikaru flinches from the mention of the man blinking back the tears threatening to fall.
"You're telling em you went to U.A to mess with your father?" Frowning, Yagi scowls, unable to believe someone that petty could pass the test could…
"Pettiness can be a powerful thing All Might." Miserably, Sayako smirks sadistically almost amused at All Might's stunned expression.
"I don't believe you." Yagi furrows his brow.
"What can't believe such a tainted soul could be a hero? Someone so petty, so stupid, so rude could join U.A for such petty reason and past? You don't think all heroes are all goody too shoes do you? They want the money, they want the fame, they want the legacy that's all there is to it. those that wish to be heroes always have a ulterior motive it's how things are. Look I joint not to become number one nor to be a bright beacon for the people honestly what you did what stupid All Might having everyone rely on you how moronic are you? Thanks to you the people became lax, became selfish, became greedy thinking they can just rely on you to fix everything. It's thanks to you that people think flashy quirks mean everything in the hero industry." Intensely, Sayako snarls seething spewing out poison as Yagi flinches from her words bowing his head anguished at the truth of the matter.
"I just…I…you do have a point. I don't agree with you entirely but…you do make points that I can't argue with." Yagi sighs scratching the back of his head.
"Oh do I now?" Sayako hollowly heckles.
"Relying on no one…isn't very hero like is it? But do you think holding yourself up alone is smart either?" Yagi asks as Sayako flinches from his words.
"This coming from the man with two arms still on him eve with the shit you pulled off against All For One. A man who told a whole nation to rely on one single pillar, a pillar without any sort of foundation do you truly think those numerous solved cases would fix things? A man who told people to rely solely on their quirk to save people? A man who had hero after hero be just like him and throw their lives away all to be like the symbol of peace…" Poisonously, Sayako sneers glaring glowering at Yagi bowing his head.
"I….I'm sorry Sayako I failed you." Yagi bows his head to her taking them all aback as his voice cracks. Sayako stares stunned at the blonde beofre her seemingly snapping out of this trance of sorts, feeling the furious flame within her falter briefly before bowing her head.
"You didn't fail me." Miserably, Sayako whispers, tensing up on guard almost.
"I…I didn't?" Hopeful, he looks up at her.
"No you failed a generation." Curtly, she snaps standing up done with the conversation, done with the people, done with the school of U.A.
"Sayako…." Aizawa begins but…
"Get out." Strictly, she snaps stoic.
"But…Sayako…" Shyly, Hikaru calls out only to falter from her firm frown, her harsh glare making him recoil back.
"No buts!" Sternly, she snaps at her baby brother.
"Hold on…" Aizawa attempts but…
"GET OUT!" Loudly, Sayako screeches, shouts, snarls to the high heavens as she swiftly kicks the box aside as the tears threaten to freely fall from the girl before both of them bow their head, sighing sadly. They leave Sayako turning her back to them, the tears freely falling as next she knew the last thing she heard was the crisp click of the door being slammed shut.
