How long had Sayako been here? She didn't know…she knew however why her father had brought her here. She appreciated his attempt at getting her away from it all but it didn't change things. It didn't bring anything back, it didn't…she was still stuck even if it were a different environment, she was still stuck…
Well on the plus side at least it was an upgrade in terms of food and instead the sickly stench of bleach and other products hanging heavily in the air. She smelt the soft sea salty air of the beach before her. Sayako sighs closing her eyes furrowing her brow at the thought as she looks at the backyard of sorts seeing the washing waves push against one another, climb over one another, a battling of sorts happening right before her eyes. Still at least she didn't have nurses coming in and out at least she had some sense of privacy she supposed…
Scowling, she glares at the box by her side scowling down at it, knowing well what was within it. They still begged, asked her to wear it but she just…
"Sayako…" Shyly, the voice calls out making Sayako sigh from the voice alone. Aching, her body winces whimpering from another failure of an exercise, she didn't want to do it but Kiyoko demanded she do it she had to do it, adjust to the weight of her body. She hated it, those people just staring, looking so pitifully at her, it made her blood boil, bubble, burn at the sore sour memory of her falling flat to the ground, her body groaning, grimacing, aching. She hated doing it, it did nothing but make her feel further like shit but it had to be done according to the doctors still…
"…What?" Sharply, Sayako demands fury flowing through her veins feeling her body ache as she turns towards the boy before her, the boy wore a hat, a beige hat as she spotted the bright blue bucket by his side sharing a similar shaded shovel. She scowls at the boy before her.
"I…I want to go out to the beach." Anxiously, Hikaru reveals to the scowling Sayako.
"…Then go." Huffing, Sayako states the fact firmly, rolling her eyes exasperated, he was a big boy he could take care of himself besides the beach was their backyard so why tell her, why ask for her permission it's not like she could stop him anyway…
"…Don't you want to come?" Shyly, Hikaru's grip tightens around the bucket, his clammy fingertips fidgeting around the handle of the bucket as Sayako's greens drift downwards towards the tool making her grit her teeth glaring glowering at the hand champed over the handle.
"…No." Sternly, she snaps at him turning his head away from her, why would she want to get sand in her clothes? She was tired enough as it is…then again she seemed so tired recently…was this how Shinso felt daily? Geez now she could see why he was such a grump…Shinso…Sayako's greens falter from the thought of him, the last he saw him…how many weeks had it been? All she remembered was being transported away from the hospital where she would continue her physical therapy…she didn't even have a choice. She…she was just so tired, so done, so drained. She knew he would come, she knew deep down but still she kept him away…she had to, no one wanted to see this, no one should see this, no one…no one should see this disgusting…Sayako seethes scowling down at her stump, feeling her throat tighten trying to stop the throat from breaking through the barrier of her lips. She didn't want him to see her like this, she couldn't, she refused to let him see her like this. She was strong, she was better than that, she was…she was…
"But that face…that face…his hurt look, his pain plastered all over his features. She couldn't help the frustration flowing through her, how could she let the others see her but not him? She didn't know then again she didn't have such choice when it came to the other visitors but…
"But…" Surprised, she jolts up from her throats turning to widen her hues towards her baby brother looking worriedly at her. She notes her hand gently ghostly touching her throat trying to stop the sob from slowly clawing climbing up her throat, she was already a burden to Kiyoko she didn't want to burden Hikaru, him seeing her like this was enough for him as it was…
"Look the beach is right there so go." Impatiently, she snaps scowling at him huffing, she hated how clingy he had been lately, she saw the look of pity plastered all over his furrowed features only feeling the fury flowing through her vindictive veins, she could feel her blood boil, burn, bubble at the sheer nerve of him. His look…it was like the others, she hated it, she hated it, she loathed it she despised him…
"B-But…" Meekly, the boy begins brow furrowing, his fingertips digging deeper around the handle tightening around it anxiously watching her sharpened scowl only deepen further from his words alone as she glares, glowering at the boy before her.
"Just go!" Scowling, she saps at him fed up, anger laced in her tense tone, she was done, she was, she really was. What was wrong with him!? He knew how tired she was with training, he knew how done she was with everything, he knew and still he pressed, he poked, he bugged her as if she were some sort of animal some pet in the petting zoo to enjoy to admire to poke, to prod at, as if she were not even a human in his eyes. She hated it, she was done, she was…she just wanted to be alone, she just wanted to be left alone was that so hard to ask!?
"O-Okay…" Rejected, Hikaru bows his head making Sayako's green glare at her baby brother brow furrowing when watching the boy shyly step out of the house descending down the wooden steps towards the beach, waving his bucket about solemnly sadly on his lonesome while she simply stares scowling at the boy before her, leaving her…just like him, just like everyone else in her life…
"You know Sayako I hear there's a deal on that slur stuff you like." Smiling, Kiyoko points out as she prepares for the day ahead.
"Uh huh." Sayako grumbles glaring to the side, her hair dishevelled, stains smeared upon her damp dirty pajamas, Hikaru swore flies fell from the sheer stench of her.
"Maybe you should go get some." Strained, Kiyoko hints earning an eye twitch from the scowling Sayako.
"Yes or you could get it instead of pressuring me to do shit." Sneering, Sayako swears scowling.
"Well…" Kiyoko begins grimacing, wincing.
"You would have saved us a problem if you saw a deal like that there and brushed it by." Sayako points out annoyed stabbing scowling down at the bowl below, her stomach flipping from the food offered.
"Y-Yes well…" Anxiously, Kiyoko begins but…
"I wanna go out! Sayako let's go into the sea I'll splash water on you and you can do the same to me." Hikaru huffs his hands on the table pouting, puffing his cheeks.
"Ah yes nothing quite like swimming in the sea full of fish piss and dead carcases." Coldly, Sayako remarks poison dripping down her tense tone.
"…W-What?" Hikaru blinks baffled.
"Why do you think it's so salty?" Sayako scoffs at her baby brother.
"I…I don't understand." Shyly, Hikaru whispers bowing his head.
"The sea is filled with dead fish and piss." Pointedly, Sayako states the fact firmly.
"B-But where are the brown bits?" Befuddled, Hikaru ponders out loud.
"How the hell should I know?" Sayako shrugs sneering.
"…But…if the fish pee in there why isn't the sea yellow?" Scowling, Hikaru demands.
"…How the fuck would I know?" Sayako stretches her arms out exasperated.
"Sayako don't swear in front of your brother." Kiyoko sternly snaps at her.
"I'll do whatever I damn like!" Sayako snaps standing up fuming fury all over her face.
"Sayako I'm just saying some sunlight wouldn't do you harm…" Sighing, Kiyoko tries to hint however…
"Oh and the numerous eyes on me won't do me any harm would they? Or those that will come up to me asking about that stupid incident and about my fucking arm!" Angrily, she screams seething snarling, crossing her arms over her chest.
"The world doesn't revolve around you, you know? I doubt people will actually come up to you and…" Annoyed, Kiyoko begins but…
"They did for the sports festival." Frowning, Sayako snaps annoyed.
"Yes well…this is different." Tiredly, Kiyoko squirms slightly from her words.
"Yeah I had my arm back then." Tensely, Sayako grumbles glaring to the side.
"You also had a heart attack." Annoyed, Kiyoko places her hands on her hips.
"Look just leave me alone would you?" Sayako turns her back about to head back to her room, not hungry in the slightest.
"To what rot away again?" Angrily, Kiyoko remarks.
"JUST LEAVE ME ALONE ALREADY!? GET OFF MY BACK!" Sayako screams snarls screeching at her astonished aunt.
"Sayako we're just concerned…" Attentively, Kiyoko recoils back before calmly composing herself trying to reason with him however…
"I go to your stupid therapy crap don't I? Isn't that good enough for you? Why isn't anything good enough for anyone in this family!?" Furiously, Sayako demands from her.
"Sayako that isn't what I mean…." Kiyoko sighs at her exhaustion etched into her fatigued facial features.
"Are you sure about that?" Tiredly, Sayako places her hand on her hip.
"Sayako…" Hikaru calls out but…
"That's what it all comes down to nowadays…" Sayako mutters miserably under her breath bitterly.
"Look I'm going to head to work I'm actually going to try to do something productive today you can stay here and mope all you like it's not going to bring it back…" Fed up, Kiyoko raises her hands up in the air exasperated done with the girl.
"Well it isn't!" Incensed, she snaps back at her aunt.
"Your solution is right in front of your eyes why can't you just make the effort in at least trying it on!?" Kiyoko demands from her fuming gesturing down to the box below making her blood boil.
"Why can't you make the effort of shutting the fuck up you old hag!" Haughtily, Sayako shouts screaming at her.
"S-Sayako!" Hikaru calls out concern clear on his face.
"…I'm heading to work. Hikaru be good for auntie okay!?" Rushing, Kiyoko leans down pecking his temple.
"O-Okay." Shyly, Hikaru bows his head watching her stride towards the door.
"As for you you can continue wallowing in self-pity but don't come to me for pity got it?" Incensed, Kiyoko sneers scowling fed up.
"Oh yeah because you would be the first person I would confide in!" Sayako shouts back.
Stupid Kiyoko stupid Kiyoko, stupid…Scowling, Sayako seethes her fingertips curls around the shopping bags, her fists firmly around the bags an iron grip around the bags of said bottle, her hand as pale as chalk, shaking, quivering, quaking. She speed walks back to her home, hoping, praying, pleading to the high heavens that she won't be stopped, if so she couldn't stop the urge for bloodshed emitting out of her. It would be the nosy asshole's fault for trying to stop her, she could feel her ribcage constrict around her hammering heart begging beseeching for it all to stop, telling her to drop the bags ad make her way back home, a part of her tempted to do so. But she stops herself, she was already out here she wasn't going home empty-handed, not after the money she had handed over. She still couldn't believe she was even using the stupid thing. Her olives narrow at the prosthetic in hand, swiftly tugging it down, hidden by her jacket sleeve, she knew it was a sound deal from Kiyoko's words and if she could get more than one for this rare steal she'd take full advantage of it, a part of her was even tempted to buy another bag to drape over her neck for the stuff but she stopped herself, her hand was already a target for gawking at anyway.
Nevertheless, she refused to let Kiyoko know about this the same with Hikaru fortunately he went off for one of his naps when she left so she should be fine. She knew where she was putting this bad boy in her minifridge, no one's hands except hers were allowed on it not even Hikaru's so if any of those two tried to steal she would know, oh she would know besides if she put it in the main fridge. Kiyoko would no doubt see it and give her the face, the face she loathed, the smirk she so hated, the glint gleaming in her eyes that she so detested. Not to mention if it were in the fridge it'd be free for all, they'd all try to steal what was rightfully and legally hers, something she could not allow not after going through such means of obtaining it. Even if it tasted ash…or something, she didn't know all she wanted was to get home.
"Oh so now you want me? Now that I've lost my arm you suddenly care well guess what buddy I don't need you, you ain't eating any of this flesh got it you little sh-" Screaming, Sayako snaps shouting, screeching at the cat before her, the tears freely falling, her voice cracking breaking before the confused cat as next she knew the cat had fled from her making Sayako seethe sharply turning on her heel, her teeth gritted, grinding her feral fangs together baring them at the boy before her, her glassy greens widening when meeting a pair of sad lilacs…
"Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinso hey…buddy." Strained, Sayako smiles uneasily at the unamused lilac-haired boy before her standing towering over her slumped form.
"Smooth recovery kitten real smooth." Snippily, Shinso remarks raising a brow as the scared cat lunges over to his side simply perching itself upon his shoulder.
"Why are you here Shinso?" Scowling, Sayako glares at the traitor of a cat purring nuzzling into the side of Shinso's cheek, unfazed by his stone stoic look.
"…Well when I find out you got kidnapped as you would guess…I reacted." Dryly, Shinso holds the kitten up, on his shoulder.
"It had nothing to do with you." Sayako sneers scowling at him.
"Don't do this again." Tiredly, Shinso sighs.
"Do what again?" Angrily, she snaps sharply at the pokerfaced boy.
"Push people away." Annoyed, Shino states the fact firmly furrowing his brow at her.
"…Who says I push people away?" Agitatedly, Sayako huffs glaring to the side.
"I do." Deadpanned, Shino states stepping up.
"Urgh…don't." Drained, Sayako groans glaring at him.
"I tried to go to the hospital to see you, said you weren't taking visitors." Shinso exclaims.
"I just…" Struggling, Sayako grimaces attempting to explain herself however…
"You just what Sayako? Saya you told me you'd stop this, you told me things would be different, you told me you'd trust me, let me in more." Mad, Shinso reminds her.
"A lot can change." Curtly, Sayako snaps sharply.
"Sayako please I just want to help you." Hitoshi sighs sadly at his friend.
"Help me? How can you help me? How can anyone help me?" Miserably, Sayako sighs sadly slumping her shoulders solemnly.
"Well for one do you think moping around will get you anywhere?" Bluntly, Shinso asks her.
"Oh this coming from you." Sayako scoffs rolling her eyes at him.
"I'm being serious Sayako." Sternly, Shinso tells her.
"Why do you even care? Shouldn't you be happy?" Haughtily, Sayako argues annoyed.
"Happy?" Hitoshi scowls gritting grinding his teeth together.
"You got your spot you can finally become a hero congrats Shinso and it's with your favourite teacher to boot lucky you, lucky Shinso." Sardonically, Sayako remarks rage laced in her bitter tone, poison oozing out of her voice as she seethes snarls at him.
"…Stop." Shinso states, his hues narrowing at her.
"Stop what?" Sayako furrows his brow.
"I know what you're doing." Shinso scowls down at her.
"You sure seem to know a lot about me, did you dig into my files too like Aizawa did?" Dubiously, Sayako asks him hurt.
"No but I know you just as I know that you try to use your words to push people away just as you are at your breaking point." Pointedly, Shino states the fact firmly taking Sayako aback at the response.
"Who the fuck says I'm at my breaking point? I'm fine, I'm fucking fantastic!" Fury flows through her veins as she screams shouts at him.
"Oh I can see that." Dryly, Shinso scoffs.
"How did you even find me?" Mad, Sayako demands from him.
"Spoke to Aizawa." Shinso shrugs.
"You're fucking kidding me." Muttering, Sayako slumps her shoulders turning to glare to the side.
"Why would I kid about this?" Tiredly, Shinso demands from her.
"Why would you try to help me? This is your chance Shinso to be a hero to be in the class you were supposed to join right? A class I wasn't good enough to join!" Anguished, Sayako demands pain pumping through her veins.
"Sayako…" Shinso's facial features soften sadly at her.
"It's the truth you and I both fucking know it. So congrats Shinso congrats I bet Aizawa's thrilled to have me out of his fucking class." Coldly, Sayako scoffs disgust drenched in her tense tone.
"He actually spoke to me so I could convince you." Shinso sighs.
"You? He really thinks you can convince me?" Amused, Sayako heckles hollowly.
"He thinks I can snap you out of this self-pity trip you got going on." Shino states the fact firmly.
"…Just fuck off…" Sayako sighs exhaustion etched into her tired tone turning away from him.
"I'm afraid that's not happening Kitten. We both know the real reason why you're not going back." Bluntly, Shinso tells her.
"And why's that?" Sayako challenges.
"You're scared." Smugly, Shinso smirks.
"Excuse fucking you?" Enraged, Sayako shouts snarling.
"You're scared at the thought of being left behind with your new arm everything you've done doesn't matter it's been thrown out the window your fighting style, your skills, your everything and your pride can't handle the idea of being at the bottom." Bluntly, Shino elaborates making her flinch from his words.
"…God I fucking hate you." Sayako sighs bowing her head after a minute of still silence hanging heavily in the air.
"And I don't care. Do you think giving up now is going to get you anywhere in life if you can't bounce back from this how are you going to survive the real world?" Shinso points out making her squirm slightly.
"Don't talk to me about the real world!" Defensively, she argues.
"I'm just stating facts like the fact that you can't handle being below people." Pointedly, Shinso points out.
"I said shut up!" Sayako screams at him.
"And I'm still talking, look whether you want to admit it or not being cooped up in here is doing you no favours. No matter what you will be at the bottom but you're not alone." Annoyed, Shinso tells her.
"I swear to fucking god if you say some shit like my friends are my power I swear to fucking-" Fuming, she seethes.
"Let me finish." Shinso sighs.
"…Fine." Feebly, she complies.
"As I was saying when I enter the hero course I'll be at the bottom too no matter what I'll be behind the others just as you will." Shinso states.
"…What are you suggesting?" Sneering, she demands from him.
"I'm suggesting we train together we work together to catch up." Shinso proposes.
"…Is that why you came here?" She raises a brow.
"I came here to get my friend back." Shinso tells her.
"…Your friend is dead Shinso so…just go away. Go home." Upset, she turns away.
"I'm afraid I can't do that." Shinso refuses.
"And why not?" She scowls at him.
"Because I don't believe you. You can mope all you want but I'm not leaving until you get out of this mindset. Got it?" Shinso smirks smugly down at her.
"…Got it." Sighing, Sayako gives in resigned, drained even as she slumps her shoulders sadly sighing, slowly closing her eyes exhaustion etched into her tone. Softly, her head hits Shinso's chest but he remains unfazed by the tears staining his shirt. Softly, he wraps his arms around her, placing his chin upon the top of her head, his heart aching, his chest constricting constraining at the pained sharp sob leaving the lips of the sobbing Sayako who he holds in his arms, refusing to leave her side.
"I just phoned his parents seems they have no clue what he was up to." Kiyoko remarks as she and Sayako stand on the porch Kiyoko leans against the balcony. The sun shines shimmers down upon Kiyoko causing her ruby red locks to shimmer shine from the scorching sun above as Sayako on the other hand resides inside, peering into the world beyond, her greens glaring from the sun, reeling away almost as she curls in on herself, the shadows draped over her as the two lookout towards the other two boys. Happily, Hikaru grins as he talks to Shinso calmly listening to him watching Hikaru happily make his sandcastle.
"…Right." Sayako scowls hustling herself further into the dark depths of the shadows.
"They were relieved to know he was with you seems they had the inkling." Cheekily, Kiyoko winks at Sayako.
"…Don't. I'm too tired for this shit." Sayako sneers curling further in on herself.
"…He must care about you a great deal to come all this well." Kiyoko points out making Sayako sniffle.
"Or is he to ask me if its okay to take my spot." Sayako huffs, just to make himself feel better bitterly, she concludes to herself.
"Sayako…" Kiyoko sighs at the girl concern clear on her furrowed features towards the girl.
"What? Everyone looks out for themselves in the world that's pretty obvious." Bluntly, Sayako deadpans.
"You know I'd give an arm and a leg for…sorry." Smiling, Kiyoko begins but soon falters freezing from it turning to look apologetic at Sayako.
"Why I haven't lost a leg yet…" Sayako points out.
"I'm just saying not many people have a friend like that to come all this way to find you." Kiyoko points out.
"…Ah yes guilt-tripping that's going to make me feel so much better." Bitterly, Sayako sneers.
"It's good you have someone who will tell you how it is you need that." Kiyoko tells her.
"Oh and you know what I need?" Sayako sharply snaps scowling.
"I did give birth to you." Kiyoko smirks smugly teasingly wiggling a brow bemused by the revolted reaction of Sayako.
"Please stop reminding me of that." Tiredly, Sayako sighs, she didn't really know what to make of the production of her birth but sure she was partially right no doubt a part of her was inherited from her but still…
"All I'm saying is despite you having your father's DNA you do have something of me to." Teasingly, Kiyoko wiggles a brow bemused playfully prodding her chest with her forefinger.
"…And that's meant to cheer me up?" Miserably, Sayako grumbles curling further in on herself similar to a hedgehog almost as she shuffles further into the dark depths of the shadows.
"I am right here." Kiyoko sighs shaking her head at him.
"Yes I can see that." Tensely, Sayako grumbles.
"You're a real piece of work you know that." Kiyoko sighs placing her hand on her hips.
"So I've been told." Sayako remarks.
"I mean it I would be so lucky to have someone in my corner like he is to you." Kiyoko gestures with her head over to the two with Hikaru digging his hands into the small mole hole of sorts formed until both their hands meet making Hikaru bema brightly while Shinso smiles shyly at the happy Hikaru.
"Look I'm not against him getting my spot if he wants it he can have it." Irritated, Sayako brushes her off further curling into the dark depths of the shadows.
"That isn't what I'm getting at." Annoyed, Kiyoko sighs at her.
"Then what are you getting at?" Angrily, Sayako demands from her.
"Weeelll…" Kiyoko places her forefinger to her cheek cheekily smirking slightly.
"Oh for the…a boy and a girl can be friends, not everyone has to shag!" Scowling, she snaps seething.
"That isn't what I mean." Kiyoko tells her however she scoffs shaking her head at her before turning towards the kitchen, she needed a drink.
"Oh I'm sure." Snippily, Sayako sneers scowling as she turns towards the cupboard about to take a glass when she suddenly drops it, causing it to come crashing down, shards spewing out as next Sayako knew…
"Sayako!" Sharply, the voice calls out but it falls to the deaf ringing ears of Sayako staggering back, brow furrowing clumsily catching herself or at the least trying to before she slides down as she comes crashing down, her knees buckling hissing from the sharp sting of glass below as next she knew…
"It wasn't supposed to go like this. But that doesn't matter, a true hero doesn't believe in excuses!" Suddenly, Tsunagu once seeing Sayako at a distance, sends the collar of his denim shirt at the male but is swiftly silenced by a hand aimed down at him.
"No heartfelt goodbye? Such a shame…" Tutting, the masked male shakes his head disappointed almost as he fires his blast just as Sayako turns wide-eyed…
"DADDDY!" Sayako screams horrified, her heart drops, her voice cracks, the dam finally freely falls as she screams her heart out, collapsing to her knees when seeing her father's toros be cut open, a heavy whole wide-open barren bare before the world as the earth beneath him that he was pinned down upon that he laid upon cracks. He freely falls just as crimson gushes out of his gaping hole and just as his olive hues turn white, he whispers…
"…Sayako…I'm…sorry." Softly, green fade to pure white as Sayako screams, shouts, screeches out to her father the tears feebly falling from her.
"Kitten hey, hey it's me…it's just me it's just me you're safe you're safe." Softly, the voice calls out to her making her gasp, her glassy greens widening when feeling the warmth welcoming her, wrapping around her frozen fidgeting body. She clings, holding onto Shinso, her face nuzzling into the crook of his neck. He holds her, feeling the tremors course through her body as a shaky sob escapes her lips, her voice cracking breaking making Shinso grimace pained at the sound as his resolve only grows, his grip tightens around her as he holds her closer refusing to leave her side.
Uneasily, Sayako stares at the bathtub below her brow furrowing as she stands over the washing waves below her, feeling a wave of unease wash over her. She knew she needed a wash; she saw the flies flaring flying above her circling her almost like some carnivorous bird waiting for her to shrivel up and wither away to be eaten. She knew that well, she knew that she had to bathe eventually, she knew…if she didn't Shinsho wouldn't stop hounding her, she swear he had a list of nicknames for her even threatening to bath her he's bathed a feral cat he can bath her. Honestly, her bluntness was circular compared to Shinso.
Shakily, she sighs sinking down remembering to take her breathes brow further furrowing from it, remembering to take deep breathes like the therapist said as she sinks down into the dark depths of the water however as soon as she settles, she gasps as next she knew….she slips.
Startled, she gasps seeing flickers of slick silver sludge hang heavily in her mouth making her scream, screech tears shooting out of her eyes bubbles bursting from her lips as next she knew she was flailing about. Heavily, her heart hammers against her chiseled constricted chest screaming, screeching, shouting wailing to the high heavens, tears threatening to fall as she whimpers. She didn't want to go no, no, no not near him not to….Terrified, she shakes feeling her heart drop at the thought of the masked man, tubes sprouting out of him as with one wave of his finger…. no, no, no, no, no, no!
"Sayako?" Her ears ring oblivious to the sound of banging unaware of the hinge breaking as the door slammed open as a blue blur of lilac was thrown its way towards her as she screamed, shouted, screeched to the high heavens.
"It's okay you're safe, you're safe, you're safe." Softly, Shinso whispers his arms wrapping around her holding her as her curt crescents dig deep into his back, small slits of ruby red threaten to smoothly slip out. She whimpers weakly, her body shaking, quivering, quaking as he holds her, softly whispering to her ear, trying to ease her nerves, trying to calm her down, trying to assure her all is well, all is safe, all will be okay.
Attentively, Shinso tends to the solemn still shaking slightly Sayako, he has her hairdryer in hand blowing hot air through her hair. She furrows her brow glancing to the side, sat on the ground Shinso's legs on either side of her. He combs his fingertips through her hair while drying her hair. Damp clothes cling to her damp from the bath before, a bath she thought she had control over, she thought she could handle.
Shame flows through her as she remembered her free-fall her sharp scream of shock as she felt almost as if a familiar oily substance burst out of her mouth just like the slick silver sludge that did so as she came crashing down, flailing about as she tries to use her arm to grab hold of the rim of the bath flailing about screaming bubbles bursting out of her as her chest constricted that was until a pair of arms wrapped around her, Shinso having rushed in and helped her as she screamed, clinging to him. She still couldn't believe he saw her like that, a faint ruby red tint to her cheeks crosses her mind at the memory even then he didn't even bat an eye focused solely on helping her calm down as she screamed, sobbed, clung to him despite her damp attire staining his clothes…
"Thinking of doing your hair again?" Gently, Shinso asks as he takes notice of her looking in the mirror an improvement from her having thrown blanket after blanket over each mirror each day as it would be swiftly taken off by either Shinso or Kiyoko. She didn't know why she did it she just back then she didn't like it…she didn't mean to stare she just…
"…I don't know." Shyly, she confesses snapping out of her thoughts turning towards the mirror, meekly her fingertips pinch a stray strand of blonde noting the dye of brown beginning to ware off.
"Dying my hair is hassle…" Huffing, Sayako sighs slumping her shoulders leaning back for her head to lean against his chest as she leans into his tender touch.
"True…" Shinso sighs gently looking down his lilacs meeting a pair of green.
"Hey…you know how some methods of dying have you in a bath?" Befuddled, Sayako begins.
"Yeah…?" Shinso furrows his brow.
"Does that mean my pubes get dyed to?" Sayako ponders out loud.
"Sayako…" Sighing, Shinso furrows his brow at her.
"I'm surprised some don't have infections down there from that method I mean this stuff got oxides and shit in it." Sayako grumbles out loud.
"I'm sure it's perfectly fine for that method." Shinso sighs.
"…You think I should dye my hair?" Humming, Sayako asks feeling the warm wind tousling her hair cease placing it to the side.
"Up to you I like you with or without the dye." Shinso states plopping his head on top of hers.
"Real helpful Hitoshi…" Huffing, Sayako rolls her eyes at him.
"Toshi! Toshi come on I wanna go to the sea! I wanna play in the sea!" Smiling, Hikaru rushes in beaming brightly at the two.
"You mean you wanna play with water that has urine and dead fish in it?" Incensed, Sayako sneers scowling nuzzling further into Shinso's side scowling at the faint feeling of fury from the sheer sight of the happy Hikaru.
"I…" Hikaru begins brow furrowing.
"Sayako." Shinso sighs at her.
"Just saying…just like I'm saying that ocean pollution kills more than one million sea birds each year." Lazily, Sayako turns her body to face him hugging him further.
"Why would you kill the sea birds?" Befuddled, Hikaru quirks his head to the side.
"Cause those little shits stole the ice cream you god damn paid for!" Fuming, Sayako grumbles bitterly under her breath brow furrowing.
"…Okay?" Hikaru says unsure.
"Could you stop scarring your little brother?" Sighing, Shinso looks down at the girl below him, his grip tightening around her nuzzling into her.
"Don't know it's pretty funny." Faintly, a small shy smirk crosses her lips as she nuzzles into his side, no words needing to be shed as they simply enjoy one another's company…
"Beach time! Beach time! Bach time!" Happily, Hikaru cheers cheerfully as he moves up and down descending down from his jump wearing a pair of blue and green swimming trunks.
"Yeah, yeah…" Sighing, Shinso grumbles giving into the boy's joy who happily takes his hand wearing a pair of purple and blue boxers courtesy of Kiyoko, Sayako still couldn't believe her aunt's audacity she really couldn't. Shadows drape over the stoic Sayako watching on from the kitchen as Hikaru happily drags her into the washing waves of the sea splashing about as she sighs shakily. She couldn't help but furrow her brow by the strange sensation in her chest constricting her almost as she could feel her hammering heart ache, feeling guilt gnaw away at her. Why…why did she have to feel like this? Just why!?
Shakily, she sighs slamming her hand upon the kitchen counter, sweat sliding down her tense temple as she sighs shakily. What was happening? What was going on? Why!? She could feel tears threaten to fall as she blinks a fair few times trying to brush the tears aside as she bows her head feeling tremors course through her fidgeting fingertips, feeling her nails scrape against the kitchen counter, digging deep into the counter drawing patterns inscribing them even.
Was it always this cramped here? Sayako furrows her brow at the thought feeling her body tense up taking note of how cramped the kitchen was feeling her chest tighten feeling her throat tighten. She couldn't help but grimace at the counters almost trapping her in just like when she…
"Now you two are going to stay there until you learn to play nice!" Sternly, Twice tells Sayako shoving her inside the cell as the bloodied, battered, beaten Sayako is thrown into the wall, the cell swiftly slammed shut as Twice happily hums, leaving the two skipping.
"Bakugo hey buddy!" Strained, Sayako smirks at Bakugo, his raw reds widening when seeing her cough crimson plastered on the floor below, her lip crack, busted, scarlet streams gush down her nose.
"What did you do?" Katsuki furrows his brow at her.
"What makes you think I did it?" Irritated, she scowls at him, her leg moving up and down as she sits slumped against the wall.
"Cause you're a dumbass." Deadpanned, Katsumi states.
"This coming from the hothead." Huffing, Sayako sneers standing up beginning to pace back and forth.
"At least I know what to do I mean what the fuck are you doing pacing?" Perplexed, Katsuki questions lost.
"I don't…fucking know okay!? Besides they are the villains out of the villains and a U.A student you think I'm the one at fault." Frustrated, she snaps at him seething snarling.
"It's you." Katsuki snaps making her grind her teeth together.
"Oh fuck you!" Sharply, she shouts at him.
"No fuck you!" Katsuki snaps back.
Sayako gasps, her hues widening when next she knew she stood before a mirror mystifying her taking her aback as she sees the snow white blanket drape over the mirror. She reaches out to it prying it off only then to gasp when being met by her reflection by…
"No heartfelt goodbye? Such a shame…" Tutting, the masked male shakes his head disappointed almost as he fires his blast just as Sayako turns wide eyed…
"DADDDY!" Sayako screams horrified, her heart drops, her voice cracks, the dam finally freely falls as she screams her heart out, collapsing to her knees when seeing her father's toros be cut open, a heavy whole wide open barren bare before the world as the earth beneath him that he was pinned down upon that he laid upon cracks. He freely falls just as crimson gushes out of his gaping whole and just as his olive hues turn white, he whispers…
"…Sayako…I'm…sorry." The battered bloodied beaten bloodied blonde whimpers as next she knew….
Sayako stares shocked as she feels the sharp sting of pain pull her back to reality, her hues widening when staring at the mirror. She blinks baffled by the sheer sight of her shattered sight, seeing briefly a faint flicker of a bloodied blonde before her making her voice crack when seeing him flicker before her only then to be brought back by the soft sound of glass breaking below. Surprised, she stares down at the shards scattered to the ground crimson coating each and every sharp shard staring down at her crimson coated fist being bandaged over.
"So...mind telling me what happened?" Surprised, she asks after finding her voice, her throat tight hoarse even from who knows what as she looks towards the lilac haired boy concern clear on his concentrated facial features focusing on the bloodied bandage around her hand.
"…Do you even know?" Shinso sighs at her tiredly.
"Not really no." Honestly, she confesses brow furrowing at the brief blackout.
"Right well one moment Hikaru is asking me to watch him in the sea then next thing I know I come in to see you punched a mirror." Honestly, Hitoshi reveals.
"Riiight." Sayako grimaces glancing down at her hand, she knew her therapist said she'd have bad days but this…
"We should take you to the hospital." Hitoshi sighs ruffling up his lilac locks.
"I'm fine Toshi." Tiredly, she sighs she didn't see any glass, she seemed fine.
"You punched a fucking mirror you are not fine." Firmly, Shinso snaps sharply at her.
"It's just normal." Lazily, she shrugs him off.
"How the hell is this normal?" Shinso scowls at her.
"I don't know okay!? This is my new normal okay!? This is why I shouldn't be a hero." Honestly, she confesses to him hurt, she could hurt people these blackouts…she was already a burden as it was with her arm and now with these blackouts she…
"This again." Annoyed, Shinso sighs.
"Yes this again look at how unreliable I am being right now." Tiredly, Sayako points out who knew who else could be hurt due to her blackout? She was unreliable, a risk, a-
"Did you take your medication?" Gently, Shinso asks her making her grimace.
"I don't fucking know." Sharply she snaps pain laced in her tone, she didn't know she think she did but even then just because she thought she did doesn't mean anything anxiety flows through her veins at the thought.
"Well I think that says something." Shinso sighs.
"Oh shut up! I don't need the medicine I am fine I am perfectly…" Pained, Sayako's voice breaks hitches briefly before slamming her hand over her mouth muffling the sobbing sneaking through.
"Sayako." Softly, Shinso reaches out to her.
"How am I to be a hero if I can't be left on my fucking own Shinso!?" Saddened, she demands from him bowing her head anguished at the thought.
"You just need to manage it this is a new medicine for you remember?" Softly, Shinso whispers bringing her close, his temple touching hers as the tears freely fall from her while he rubs patterns in the back of her neck.
"New medicine? I don't even know what I'm taking it's just some long stupid name coming from something stupid in Latin sounding so posh and snobby and I hate it I hate this, I hate…!" She delves her head closer to his chest slamming her eyes shut.
"You're just tired." Tentatively, Shinso whispers softly bringing her closer.
"I'm just done Toshi I'm done with being a hero." Honestly, Sayako says sadly solemnly bowing her head pained anguished at it all as she turns away from him, anguished oblivious to his own anguished expression at her hurt hollow words.
