Chapter 19

Afterwards, everyone returned to the arkship with a few things they have on hand such as some old computer hard drives and memory files they got from the destroyed area as everyone else try to gather some stuff that will help them understand more about the galaxy that they are in. That, and to learn more about what to expect when trying to find the Grand Paradise System. Team RWBY are now walking through the corridors.

Yang yawns, "Man, I'm beat."

"It is hard to tell what time it is since we're out in space." Weiss explains, "So it is hard to tell if its day or night but your inner clock seems to be working."

"But they may not last long the longer we travel through the galaxy." Blake is worried, "Just hope we can find that new home soon."

Ruby speaks her mind, "But we do have those Jurian core thingies that would stimulate an actual planet. So we should be able to enjoy some sunlight, fresh air, and able to get some exercise."

They managed to pass by many of the hobgoblins, humans, demi-humans and other races that were busy minding their own business as they just walk by with Ruby giving a few friendly greetings. However, Blake heard something from one group of hobgoblins, which is comprised of Gobta and some of the goblin riders.

Gobta says to some of the riders, "So we're going into stasis after New Year's, right?"

Gobzo nods, "Yeah."

One of the riders say, "But what if Lord Rimuru needs us?"

Blake walks up to the hobgoblins, "What is this about going into stasis after New Year's?"

"Oh hey, uh, Blake, right?" Gobta says the feline Faunus. "Guess you heard that."

Gobzo is being honest while also trying to explain, "I don't understand much, but everyone says that with the black box things, they can't die unless they're up against someone with another black box."

Weiss walks up, "Correct."

"And since we don't have any, we can die at any time when something bad happens."

"Yeah." says Gobta, "Something majorly monstrous uber bad."

Gobzo continues, "Right. So if there would be something bad like a hole in the ship, we won't survive. At least according to Lord Rimuru."

Ruby walks up, "Carolina and some of the other guys said something about no air in space."

Yang walks up, "They did say that."

Gobzo nods, "Right. And those stasis things have a special magic shield that should keep us safe from anything. So, after the New Year's celebration, we would go to sleep for a bit until we made it to a new home."

"Are you sure about that?" Blake is starting to worry about the hobgoblins. Not just for their safety, but the arkship will be a bit lonely.

Then Jaune comes along with Saffron with Jaune trying to catch-up.

"Are you serious?!" he sounds surprise.

Saffron stops and turns around, "Yes, Jaune." She sounds more calmer, "Terra, Adrian and I are going to be in stasis after New Year's. True we have the black boxes, but we decided that it would be safer in the stasis. For Adrian's sake. I don't want my baby to be scarred for life when something comes into the ship and tries to eat him, or try to attempt to do something harmful to him even though he is invincible, or something horrible that comes into contact with him or...something along those lines."

Jaune rubs the back of his neck, "Never thought of that."

"Anyway, my family are gonna go to sleep once New Year's is over. Later, Jaune." Saffron walks off.

Jaune just sighs and looks bummed out.

Yang walks up to Jaune, "Sibling problems?"

"Yeah."

"I know the feeling."

Not too long, Team RWBY made it to one of the cafeterias where it has been converted into some sort of restaurant plaza with a bunch of different restaurants to choose from. Restaurants such as; Yukihira's, Trattori Aldini, Shokeien Ryokan, Bear Haven, Kyokusei's Multicultural Cuisine, and Hojoro. The alluring scent of the food is causing Ruby to float in the air and follow the scent of the smells.

Yang grabs Ruby from the ankles and pulls her down, "Easy there, Ruby."

Ruby's mouth starts watering. Gushing from her mouth, "But it all smell so good." and her stomach starts to grumble.

Blake's mouth is also drooling, "I smell fish." and sparkles in her eyes.

Yang rubs Blake's head, "You take it easy, too."

Weiss says, "Why here and not over at the higher class location?"

A woman's voice is heard from not too far, "HEY! OVER HERE GIRLS!"

The team look at their right and see Summer with all the other family members. Taiyang, Raven, Qrow, the Belladonnas, and the Schnees. Ruby blushes out of embarrassment and hides her face with her hood while Summer is jumping up and down while waving at them.

So after that scene, they all sat down with Blake looking at her Ojiya-Style Salmon Takikomi Gohan (there are no Pacific Saurys [or Sauries] for the time being) with chopsticks in her right hand and still continues to droll.

Kali asks her daughter, "Are you gonna eat it or admire it?"

Ghira chuckles, "I think she prefers both." Then he notices that Kali is giving the same expression and laughs.

Weiss is enjoying an Insalata Frittata for dinner, "This is really good."

"I know, right?" Whitley agrees as he is halfway eating his, "You can even have this for breakfast."

Winter is holding a spoon full of beef stew from Yukihira's, "And you should try this beef stew. It may seem like a mess, but it is delicious."

Willow and Klein are enjoying the Bear Cheeseburgers from Bear Haven as they enjoy the meal.

Qrow is enjoying a Curry Bread Calzone, "I can't believe a bunch of teenage chefs and teenage farmers just ended-up in this place. Why would they bother with that?"

Raven is eating her Pineapple Fried Curry Rice, "Dunno, but this sure is good." She takes another spoonful.

Taiyang is trying out a Rainbow Terrine, "And this dish maybe small, but it taste just like mom's."

"Ahem!" Summer is offended by that remark.

Taiyang panics, "Uh, I mean, taste just as good as yours!"

Summer smiles and forgives him and also enjoy her own Rainbow Terrine. Ruby is also enjoying an egg tempura bowl and is surprised how good it is.

But Weiss says to this little gathering, "So did anyone know about some people going to stasis?"

Ghira replies, "Ah yes, we heard about it. A lot of people don't exactly feel safe since we are traveling through the great unknown so we can find our new home world. Everyone is already on edge right now since we rescued the other soldiers over at Mar Sara with all of them telling tales about those monsters."

Willow continues with the explanation, "The...'necromorphs' they encounter may not be the only ones that have been hibernating for who knows how long."

Qrow says in a serious tone, "In other words, they're scared. Not only that, we don't even know how long it will take to our destination. Space is, well, huge. Not everyone has the stomach to cope with the vast emptiness. It's like an ocean of stars. But unlike oceans, you cannot just fish for food, turn salt water to fresh water, or able to even breath. Just a vacuum void where you can lose your mind in the deepest, blackest emptiness."

Taiyang says to Qrow with a disturbed look, "Now that's dark."

Everyone is a bit disturbed by Qrow's description of how dangerous it is traveling in space. However, it is only the fraction of what is in store. When traveling through the galaxy, it is not just the lose of someone's mind after being cooped up in a ship for so long nor the lack of oxygen that will slowly kill the passengers. It is the vast unknown of what to expect in the great emptiness. There might be some space-traveling beasts that can travel faster than light, some drifting rock that can destroy the main systems of a ship, or some sort of hazard that will consume all life or obliterate it. If only they have someone who knows the ins and outs of this galaxy they are now living in. But with everything taken from the Ricks that sold every soldier and possibly kill all the people, it is impossible. Not to mention that the data they've collected is thousands of years old and out of date. If they have something or some guide still living today, it will be easier to locate the Grand Paradise System. The promise land (or solar system) that will serve as a new home. Although, there might be darker and more devastating forces out there in this galaxy. As for what it is; it is unknown for the time being.

After Qrow's dark thought, the PA system started to make an announcement, "Attention all aboard the Spearhead of Hope. Attention."

Ruby looked at everybody at the table, "Spearhead of Hope?"

Taiyang shrugs, "Something that a lot of people decided to call since you girls went out on a mission."

"All leaders must report to the War Council room at this point. There will be a meeting tonight."

Ghira stands up, "Duty calls."

Raven stands up, "Time to go, Ruby."

"What? But I thought that when you guys now have the black boxes, you don't need me anymore."

Ghira says, "True. However, you are still a member of our council."

"But I-"

Raven and Qrow pick Ruby up from her seat by her arms as Raven says, "Come on, Ruby."

"Aw man."

Everyone has gathered in a large chamber with gravity propulsion stands where many people can use in a similar matter to the galactic senate from Star Wars yet of more Protoss design. All council members of Rooster Teeth, which the town is no more but still operational, are in one of these platforms and attending this meeting.

Donald Doyle asks, "Any idea on what this meeting is about? I was in a middle of doing Shakespearean poetry."

Vanessa looks at Donald as they all take their seats, "Probably some sort of break through."

Everyone take their seats and see the giant holographic screens with Dr. Watts and Stewie Griffin below on their own platform.

Stewie starts off, "Good evening, everyone. My name is Stewie Griffin, an infant scientist that usually specialize in weapons, time travel, multiversal travel and so forth. We have call you all here because of what we have discovered from the data that was retrieved."

Dr. Watts further explains, "I'm afraid things are a bit more complicated than we originally thought."

A hologram of the Milky Way galaxy appears to replace the screens.

"This is the Milky Way galaxy." Stewie states, "This galaxy is home to humans who were originally from Earth, third planet of the Sol System."

Everyone that knows Earth and the system do nod in agreement, including a few other factions from other worlds such as the Brotherhood of Steel, the Followers of the Apocalypse and other such factions. Yet the hologram of the Milky Way galaxy shrinks and shows a new, giant size galaxy they are in.

"And this is our new galaxy we are living in. The Milky Way galaxy is 105,700 light years in diameter, but this new one we are inhabiting is 4,756,500 light years in diameter."

Dr. Watts states, "In other words, this galaxy is too big to explore. Not to mention almost impossible to pinpoint the Grand Paradise System. The odds of finding it are 776,932,551,901 to 1."

Everyone murmur to themselves and find this new information disturbing. Not only it is impossible to find the new home for them all, but now it seems impossible.

Aqua slams her hands on the railing of her platform, "THEN HOW THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSED TO FIND THE NEW SOLAR SYSTEM NOW, HUH?!"

"Be silent!" Ainz says to Aqua, "Being angry about it won't solve anything!"

Tanya says in a more calm tone, "I agree, but we are still in a pickle."

Aqua points and yells at Tanya, "SHUT YOUR FACE, YOU LOLI-BITCH!"

Tanya starts to get upset, "WHAT DID YOU JUST CALLED ME!?"

Everyone on Tanya's platform start to get scared.

There is a huge uproar in the war council room as many angry shouts can be heard from outside the room.

Peroroncino demands Stewie and Dr. Watts to give an answer, "THEN HOW THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSE TO SURVIVE OUT HERE!?"

Stewie says in a more calm tone, "Calm down, sexy bird man."

"HOW CAN I- Wait, what?"

Dr. Watts says to the leaders, "Although he does have a point."

Peroroncino asks his sister, "Did I just got hit on by an infant dude?"

"But we need something in order to survive in this galaxy. If there is a clue out there, we should-"

Before Dr. Watts inform them of the plan, a huge blue lighting bolt struck down the projector and glitterly purple smoke comes out from it. A lot of people got freaked out by this sudden turn of events and some have no idea what is going on.

"I finally found you!" says a voice from the smoke. The voice sounds a bit Australian.

Some of the smoke clear to reveal some black and red hair that is all sparkly with some horns like that of an ox, the same horns in the chest area on some golden chest piece, blue and black feathered wings can be seen stretching out along with a single, glowing red eye.

"At long last, I have found you all."

The smoke clears and it is revealed to be Magnus the Red.

"I have found you Proto-OOohhhh...'kay." He seems confused as he looks around. He was expecting Protoss, but instead, he found something else. "Who are you lot and where are the Protoss?"

Ruby looks at Magnus and goes, "The fuck?"

Raven gasp and covers her mouth as Ruby said a swear word for the first time.
