The sun was rising on a new day. A relaxing and peaceful day. Suddenly, the silence of the countryside was replaced by the wheels of several vehicles on the road.
These vehicles were from Commander Guan's army heading towards Gaoling in order to cause a lot of chaos and prevent the elections to be held there. The soldiers in the cars were expert fighters earth and metalbenders.
It was happening not only on that road, but on four others, all going in the same direction.
Gaoling.
"Remember, everyone. Our orders are to enter Gaoling and cause as much destruction as we can." said a soldier over the communications system to contact the other squads.
"What do we do with the civilians?" asked a soldier from another squad.
"At the moment, nothing unless they interfere." said a soldier from another squad.
"Right. All for the Earth Empire!" said the soldier from the first squadron.
"For the Earth Empire!" shouted all the soldiers from all the squads in unison.
Suddenly, the lead vehicle of the first squadron quickly stopped, followed by the rest of the vehicles and tanks.
"What's going on? Why did we stop?" the soldier asked the driver of the vehicle.
"There are two people in front." said the driver pointing to the front, where Mako and Kakashi could be seen.
"What?" asked the confused soldier before activating the communication system again. "Squads, report."
"We had to stop when we saw two people blocking the road." said the soldier from another squad looking ahead to see Bolin and Kiba.
"The same in our case, but if I told you who was present, you wouldn't believe it." said the soldier from another squad seeing that, in front of the squad, Kuvira and Sakura were standing.
"In our case, it's three people who are hindering us." said the soldier from another squad looking ahead to see Asami, Tsunade and Hinata. "What does that mean?"
"They must be the Team Avatar reinforcements. It doesn't matter. It's a few of them against a whole squadron. Make them get out of the way." said the soldier from the first squadron before disabling communications. "This will be your first and only warning! Leave or we will take drastic measures!"
"I'm sorry, but we have a duty to prevent you from passing through this area," Kakashi said in a calm tone.
"And how exactly do you plan to do that?" asked the soldier taking it as a joke.
"Like this." said Kakashi before making several hand gestures "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" shouted Kakashi shooting out of his mouth (despite the mask) a huge fireball.
The soldier and the driver had to get out of the vehicle before the fireball hit him, destroying him in the process.
"I didn't know you could do that." said Mako surprised to see a fire ninja technique.
"I have more tricks up my sleeve and I have a feeling it won't be long before you see them." said Kakashi.
"Attack!" shouted the soldier causing several soldiers to rush forward.
"Surrender right now!" demanded the soldier from another squad to the earthbender and the doggy ninja.
Kiba shot a toothy grin at the earthbender.
"Do you do the honors?" asked Kiba.
"Sure." said Bolin before causing a pillar to emerge from the ground, hitting the vehicle from underneath and flipping it over, something that made the doggy ninja laugh.
"Haha. That was a good one." said Kiba chuckling.
The two soldiers jumped out from under the overturned vehicle.
"Stop them!" the soldier ordered as he and several others lunged forward.
"If you don't leave, we'll have to force you." said the soldier from another squad.
"Dare." said Tsunade.
The soldier dashed toward the three to attack them.
Asami readied her electrified glove to fight, but the Hokage stopped her by extending her arm, in a sign that she would take over, leaving the engineer confused by her decision.
As the soldier was about to make a bending attack, Tsunade stretched out the index finger of her right fist and slammed it into the ground, causing a crack through which the soldier fell.
Needless to say, Asami's mouth dropped open as she saw that she had created something like that with just a swipe of her finger.
"That's... the power of a Hokage?" asked Asami in her mind.
"That was earthbending?" asked a surprised soldier.
"What does that matter? Finish them off!" said another soldier before a group of soldiers went on the attack.
"Well, girls, let's show them how we do it." said Tsunade with a smile.
Asami was still surprised by the Hokage's display of power, but shook her head to snap out of her state and focus on the battle ahead.
Several soldiers stood in front of the two girls not knowing what to do, as in front of them stood the one known as the Great Uniter, the person who started the movement to create the Earth Empire.
"Great Uniter, given your history with the Earth Empire, I ask you to step aside and let us do the job that Commander Guan entrusted us to do." said the soldier.
"No. You all missed your target. The goal of the Earth Empire is to unify the territories, not to attack them. So I will give you one last order and that is to surrender immediately." said Kuvira hoping that last attempt would work.
"Commander Guan was right. You have lost your way, but we haven't. We no longer obey you, Kuvira, but Commander Guan, who plans to raise the Earth Empire from its ashes. Long live the Earth Empire!" declared the soldier raising his fist in the air.
"Long live the Earth Empire!" declared the other soldiers, even those in the tanks and vehicles.
"Looks like it didn't work." said Sakura.
"I expect something similar." said Kuvira.
"Kuvira, as a traitor to the Earth Empire, you will be captured and brought before Commander Guan for trial. Go ahead!" said the soldier before several soldiers jumped in.
"I hope you're ready." said Kuvira.
"Believe me, I am." said Sakura.
Several soldiers threw multiple rocks and stalactites towards them, but Kakashi stood in front of Mako while gesturing with his hands before planting them on the ground.
"Earth Style: Mud Wall!" shouted Kakashi before a wall of earth with four dog faces emerged from the ground, blocking all incoming attacks.
When the wall collapsed, Mako took advantage of that to shoot fireballs, knocking down a few soldiers.
One soldier erected a wall to protect himself from the fireballs before sending it towards the firebender who jumped aside to avoid the incoming wall.
While Mako was busy attacking from a distance with fireballs and waves of fire, Kakashi lunged towards the soldiers and set about knocking them down with his bare hands, making sure not to kill them, as it was the Avatar's request.
Just as he knocked down another soldier, another threw a sharp metal plate at his back, driving it deep into him. For a second, many, even Mako, thought he was killed, but then, Kakashi dissolved in water and turned into a puddle.
"But what?" asked the soldier who threw the metal plate.
"You'll need more than that to catch me off guard."
The soldier turned around quickly, only to find the copycat ninja with an energy ball in his hand.
"Rasengan!" shouted Kakashi slamming the energy ball into the chest of the soldier who was blown backwards as he went spinning like in a tornado, impacting other soldiers in the process, and knocking them all down.
"That was airbending?" asked a completely shocked soldier.
"Impossible! Only the Avatar is supposed to be able to bend all four elements! Who is this guy?" asked another soldier in shock.
"This isn't the time for that! Shoot him down!" said another soldier before he threw several metal plates.
However, a blast of fire hit the metal plates and melted them.
The soldier turned his gaze to the firebender responsible for it.
"Don't forget that I'm here too." said Mako before shooting forward with fire on his feet and hitting the soldier with a rolling kick wrapped in fire.
A soldier caused a series of huge stalagmites to erupt from the ground in the direction of the earthbender and the doggy ninja, but then, Bolin stopped the stream of stalagmites by using his own to do so.
After that, Kiba and Akamaru climbed onto the stalagmites.
"Come on, Akamaru, let's show them how we Leaf ninja do it!" said Kiba along with a bark from his doggy companion before the two jumped high up. "Fang Over Fang!" shouted Kiba as he and Akamaru began to spin quickly and passed the two of them through the soldiers like little drills, taking down many enemies in the process.
Just as the two stopped, a metal ropes got tangled around the neck and body of Akamaru who started trying to break free as Kiba turned to the side to see a soldier holding the ropes.
"Hey, let go right now!" said Kiba.
"If you don't want your mutt to suffer the consequences, surrender immediately!" demanded the soldier.
Suddenly, some kind of lava shuriken flew by and quickly cut the rope before spinning to return back to its thrower, Bolin.
Before anyone could comment, Akamaru lunged at his captor and began biting him, making him scream in pain.
"Thanks for the help and cool that shuriken." said Kiba with a thumbs up.
"You're welcome and thank you." said Bolin.
"Akamaru, you can stop now. There are plenty more bones to gnaw on." said Kiba before Akamaru ceased his assault and the three of them concentrated on the rest of the soldiers.
Several soldiers threw stones and metal plates at the three women, but then, Hinata activated her Byakugan and stepped in front.
"Protective Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms!" shouted Hinata releasing chakra from her hands, which she moved quickly to every possible side, forming strong and flexible sheets that took the shape of a dome around the three girls that protected them from enemy attacks.
"Wow. Good defense." said Asami impressed by the white-eyed girl's technique.
"Thanks." said Hinata before undoing the dome.
After that, Hinata and Asami quickly rushed forward to engage the soldiers.
They began to launch earthbending attacks, but the two girls were able to quickly dodge the attacks as they closed in on them.
Asami proceeded to hit the nearest soldiers with horizontal kicks or punches to the face. She even hit a couple of them with her electrified glove, knocking them down in the process.
"Gentle Fist!" shouted Hinata covering her palms with chakra before she started hitting the soldiers in various spots which were enough to knock them down, as she was using her Byakugan to detect their body's chi currents and find their weak spots.
Several soldiers decided to ignore them and concentrate on the one woman who hadn't moved a muscle, so they quickly surrounded her and tied her up with metal ropes, preventing her from moving.
"We've got you now!" said one soldier.
"Are you sure about that?" asked Tsunade with a smile.
"Of course we are, old woman." said another soldier.
That caused the Hokage's smile to be replaced by a frown. She could tolerate Naruto calling her that, but she would never, never, never tolerate someone else calling her that.
With a small groan of effort, she broke the ropes that held her bound to the surprise of the soldiers and before they could react, Tsunade let out a scream of rage before slamming her fist into the ground, causing a tremor as the ground around her cracked as debris flew out along with the soldiers.
Needless to say, both Asami and the rest of the soldiers were in shock at the Hokage's show of strength.
"My mother. I'd hate to be the one to make her angry." commented Asami.
Kuvira moved nimbly to dodge the soldiers' earth and metal attacks while attacking with her own attacks, knocking down many soldiers in the process.
One soldier created a metal sword and tried to attack her from behind, but Kuvira swung her leg backwards to make the area the soldier stepped on move, tripping him, something the metalbender took advantage of to throw a rock at him that hit him in the stomach and knocked him down.
Sakura dodged several incoming rocks before lunging and hitting the soldiers with her fists. Suddenly, she felt something large incoming and turned in time to see a huge rock being thrown at her, but then, she caught it with her own hand, much to the shock of the soldier who threw the rock and before he could react, Sakura threw it back at him, hitting him in the process.
Suddenly, a soldier caused a stalagmite to erupt from the ground and impale the pink-haired girl. Kuvira was about to scream for her when suddenly Sakura was covered by a burst of smoke and the dissipate, in her place, was a piece of log that was impaled by the stalagmite.
It was then that a cry of exertion was heard, and everyone looked up to see Sakura in mid-air, falling to the ground with her arm pulled back. When she reached the ground, she hit it with a punch so hard that it caused the ground around her to crack and rise, sending a few soldiers flying.
Needless to say, Kuvira was very surprised, not only by the ability to escape from a deadly situation, but also by the tremendous strength of that girl who was younger than her.
Another soldier tried to attack her from behind, but without her looking, she raised her arm, causing a column of earth to erupt from the ground beneath him and send the soldier flying.
"It's impressive how strong you are." Kuvira said.
"Thank you. I've been training" said Sakura proud of her strength.
"What kind of training did she have to go through to have such strength?" asked Kuvira in her mind, remembering that the Team Avatar had been telling her about the world Naruto and his friends came from.
In fact, a part of her thought that, had she had soldiers with abilities like Naruto and the others, things would have been very different for everyone.
"Dr. Sheng! Dr. Sheng!" a soldier shouted from the base communicator.
The next instant, said doctor picked up the communicator to respond.
"What's wrong?" asked Dr. Sheng.
"We've got trouble! *Interference* We're under attack!" said a soldier from the communicator.
"What?" asked Dr. Sheng.
"In our to Gaoling, we ran into a couple of people who are fighting our troops. It's happening with almost every squadron." said the soldier.
"Are they the Avatar's friends?" asked Dr. Sheng.
"Yes, but there are also some unknown people with them." said the soldier.
"Unknown people?" asked Dr. Sheng.
"We don't know who they are, but they possess superhuman abilities, one of them even has the ability to bend the four elements!" said the soldier.
"What? That's impossible!" said Dr. Sheng, as only the Avatar had such a power.
"It's true. I'm seeing it with my own eyes. He's single-handedly taking down a lot of our people." said the soldier.
Dr. Sheng couldn't believe what she was hearing. It was supposed to take a couple more hours for the reinforcements the Avatar's friends might call in and they alone couldn't handle a whole army, but now it turns out they have strange and powerful people with them, one of those people even has the same power as the Avatar. The Avatar!
"Where the hell did they get those people from?" asked Dr. Sheng in her mind. "Keep holding out. I'll contact Commander Guan. So wait for orders." said Dr. Sheng.
"Roger that." said the soldier before the communication was finalized.
Dr. Sheng didn't know how the commander would take the news, but now the important thing was to adapt to the situation.
However, before the call began, she suddenly felt paralyzed.
"W-what? I-I can't move." said Dr. Sheng in surprise and trying to understand what was going on.
"Of course not."
Dr. Sheng turned her head quickly to see at the entrance of the room Shikamaru looking at her with a serious and bored expression.
"After all, that's what my technique is all about." said Shikamaru pointing to the floor.
Looking down, she saw that her whole body was wrapped in black ribbons that emerged from her shadow that was somehow connected to the ninja's.
"Who are you? How did you find this place?" asked Dr. Sheng wanting answers.
"What a drag to explain, but okay. As for who I am, let's just say I'm an associate of the Avatar." said Shikamaru.
Dr. Sheng was in shock. This person claimed to be an associate of the Avatar and he had just caught her with a very strange technique. Was he one of those people the soldiers were talking about?
"And about this place, well, let's just say I followed your movements and by doing a few calculations, I was able to figure out where you were." said Shikamaru.
Dr. Sheng was tremendously surprised. That place was supposed to have been carefully placed to be almost impossible to locate. And he says he was able to do it? That boy must have been very smart.
"Are you going to kill me?" asked Dr. Sheng trying to remain calm.
"If it were any other situation, I would, but Avatar Korra asked us not to kill and that included the guards I've run into in the rest of the base. However, that doesn't mean I'll let you warn your superior." said Shikamaru.
"Commander Guan is very strong and smart. He won't go down so easily for you or those people fighting soldiers." said Dr. Sheng.
"You are wrong. There are already a couple of people ready to take him on, and even if I don't know much about Avatar Korra, I can assure you that the person with her won't go down that easily either." said Shikamaru.
On one road, there were several vehicles driving around. In front of them was a vehicle in whose co-pilot's seat was Commander Guan, who had decided to lead the squadron while the other squadrons took over the rest of the areas.
Suddenly, before they could advance any further, a wall of fire formed in their path, forcing all the vehicles to stop.
Guan stood up in time to see that out of the dissipating flames came Korra and Naruto.
"Well, well, well. I'm surprised you made it out of the brainwashing, Avatar. I don't know how you did it, but it's impressive." said Guan with false impression.
"Guan, I'll make you pay for what you did to me! I won't allow you or your men past this area!" said Korra.
"Sounds interesting, but are you sure you and your friend will be able to stop all of us?" asked Guan.
"Hey, how about we skip the chitchat and just fight at once?" asked Naruto impatiently.
"That's a good idea. Once I'm done with you, I won't just break the spirit..." began Guan.
"Ugh, chitchat." said Naruto interrupting the commander.
"Of all..." continued Guan despite the interruption.
"Chitty, chitty, chat, chat..." said Naruto interrupting the commander again as he waved his hand to speak.
"The..." continued Guan despite the continued interruption.
"Chitchat." said Naruto.
Korra couldn't help but chuckle at how her ninja friend was mocking the former commander.
Guan let out a slight growl of frustration and decided to stop trying to continue the conversation before turning his gaze back.
"Finish them off." said Guan before several soldiers rushed forward.
Several soldiers rushed forward while others hung back and began throwing rocks and metal plates.
Naruto quickly waved his hands and caused a huge explosion of smoke to cover the area where he and Korra were standing. Suddenly, before they could react, out of the smoke, to their surprise, came several clones of Naruto and Korra.
The latter was because some of Naruto's clones transformed into Korra to increase confusion among the enemy.
It would be a lie if I said Guan wasn't completely shocked, as he had never seen anything like that. For a second, he thought it was some illusion, but then, the Naruto and Korra clones started to hit the nearest soldiers, proving that they weren't illusions.
The clones weren't only knocking down the nearest soldiers, but also dodging incoming rocks and metal plates with ease.
It was then, when the real Korra, who was among her clones, used metalbending to stop the incoming metal plates, turn them into liquid metal and then throw them back at the soldiers in the form of huggers that bound them to the ground.
One soldier tried to smash Naruto with two walls that emerged from the ground, but the jinchuriki jumped over the two walls before leaping towards the soldier and kicking him down.
Korra found herself surrounded by several soldiers, but before they could attack, the Avatar began to spin in circles while using airbending to generate a tornado that swept the soldiers away and sent them flying before undoing the tornado and dropping them.
One soldier began throwing rocks while another soldier caused a series of stalagmites to emerge from the ground. Both attacks were directed towards Naruto, who, with a hand gesture, created many clones that served as a barrier for the attacks, generating a smoke cover.
Suddenly, out of the smoke, Naruto emerged with a clone of himself and a clone of Korra on either side of him. As Naruto had his hands outstretched towards them with palms up, the two clones began to rip the air over the palm as the three ran towards the two soldiers. By the time, the two clones disappeared, two blue energy spheres formed in their hands.
"Rasenrengan!" shouted Naruto slamming both spheres into the two soldiers, sending them flying as they took down more soldiers in the process.
One soldier threw a metal rope that wrapped around Korra's arm and pulled on it in an attempt to pin her down, but before another soldier tried to do the same to her other arm, Korra raised her leg high and, with a flame on the sole of her foot, cut the rope, causing the soldier pulling on it to fall to the ground, before throwing a fireball at the other soldier, knocking him down in the process.
Naruto jumped to the side to avoid getting a metal plate in his face and then threw his kunai towards the soldier who attacked him earlier, but because he was a metalbender, he deflected it, causing it to impact the ground in front of him.
However, what he didn't notice was that there was a tag attached to the kunai and before he could realize it, the tag exploded, causing the soldier to back up a little, affected by the explosion, but then, Naruto took advantage of that moment to run towards him and knock him down with a punch in the face.
Korra used the water from her canteen to create a huge water whip with which she protected herself from some incoming rocks by trapping them in the water. Then, with a flick of her whip, she launched water droplets that contained pieces of the rocks in them, causing the soldiers who were hit by the droplets to take more damage.
In fact, she remembered that cheating technique from when she was a pro-bending player.
Guan was amazed at the techniques the jinchuriki was using to knock down his soldiers, wondering all the while where he had gotten those techniques from and even where that guy had come from. But he was also angry, as most of his army was being taken down by only two people, though one was the Avatar and the other a guy with strange powers.
"Soldiers!" shouted Guan getting the attention of the remaining soldiers. "The time has come to empower yourselves... FOR THE EARTH EMPIRE!" shouted Guan.
That had a strange effect on the soldiers, as they began to act calm as they pulled a syringe from their pocket containing a glowing green liquid.
Korra and Naruto were starting to worry, as they knew what that was all about.
"For the Earth Empire!" the soldiers shouted in unison before injecting the liquid into their veins.
Suddenly, they were groaning in pain as they writhed around. A couple of them even fell to the ground as they continued to writhe and moan.
It was then that the soldiers' muscles became bulkier as their bodies grew a little. That caused their clothes to tear to the point where only their helmet and pants, which were now shorts, remained. This allowed the Avatar and the jinchuriki to see that their skin had turned green.
By the time, the soldiers' transformation was over, they all let out a bestial roar.
Needless to say, the two were worried about how things had changed.
"Now that's a lot of power." commented Naruto.
"Be careful, Naruto. I feel that they have become much stronger than before, even stronger than those you defeated on your first day." said Kurama.
"Guan, what have you done to them?" asked Korra.
"What I should have done long ago. Give my men the potential to push their limits." said Guan.
"You've turned them into monsters!" said Naruto.
"That may be, but there is no glory without sacrifice. Soldiers, destroy them!" ordered Guan.
"For the Earth Empire!" shouted the powered soldiers before rushing towards them with a wild yell.
It wasn't just passing that way. Apparently, Guan's message had reached, through communications to the other squads and that had the same effect as before.
To the confusion of the others, the soldiers stopped their fight and took out of their pocket a syringe containing a luminous green liquid and it was then that their confusion turned to surprise, since, after injecting the liquid, they began to undergo a transformation that left them stronger than before, but at the same time in a state that they looked like rabid dogs that would attack as soon as they gave the order.
"Soldiers, destroy them!" shouted Guan over the comms.
"For the Earth Empire!" shouted all the powered soldiers before rushing towards the battle with a wild yell.
Mako was a bit terrified that he was going to face an army of powered humans or, put another way, monsters, but what surprised him the most was that Kakashi was all the time with the same calm expression.
"Well, looks like I'll have to get serious." said Kakashi before lifting the band covering his left eye, revealing the Sharingan he possessed, much to the firebender's surprise.
"Your eye! What's that?" asked Mako with surprise and curiosity.
"I'll explain later. Right now there are more important things to worry about." said Kakashi pointing at the powered soldiers who were rushing forward.
One powered soldier stomped hard, causing a crack to form in the ground in the direction of the copycat ninja and the firebender, who quickly jumped aside to avoid falling into the crack.
Mako quickly set about launching fireballs from his fists and kicks, but the powered soldier used his arms to block them without taking much damage, much to the firebender's surprise.
The powered soldier threw a huge rock at him, who countered with a lightning that managed to destroy the rock, causing a curtain of smoke that he took advantage of to run towards him and stab him in the legs with fire daggers created from his hands, causing the powered soldier to scream in pain before falling to his knees on the ground, which Mako took advantage of to give him a horizontal kick in the face, knocking him down.
A powered soldier tried to crush Kakashi with his fists, but, thanks to the Sharingan, Kakashi was able to easily dodge all the attacks, as if he could read his movements.
It was then that he made several hand gestures at a high speed before suddenly his hand was covered in electricity.
"Chidori!" shouted Kakashi hitting the powered soldier with the electrified hand, making him roar in pain before falling to the ground knocked down.
He quickly had to duck to dodge a metal plate that was rushing toward him from the side.
Afterwards, he made other hand gestures.
"Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!" shouted Kakashi as a dragon-shaped column of water emerged from the ground and headed towards the powered soldier who attacked him, hitting him directly and knocking him down.
Suddenly, he noticed that a powered soldier created a stalagmite before ripping it out of the ground with his bare hands and after that, he threw it directly towards Mako, who was busy knocking down another powered soldier with his fire attacks.
Mako noticed the incoming stalagmite and his eyes widened in horror as he saw that he didn't have time to dodge it, but then, a small black hole opened up in mid-air and when the stalagmite hit the hole, it was immediately sucked in before the hole disappeared.
Looking to the side, he discovered Kakashi staring at the place where the black hole was, but what caught his attention was that the strange red eye he had had changed shape before returning to the shape he had before.
It didn't take any deduction to know, almost entirely, what had happened.
"Thank you. I owe you one." said Mako.
"You're welcome, but next time, maybe you should be more aware of your surroundings instead of focusing on a single target." said Kakashi advising the firebender as he approached him.
"I'll remember that." said Mako before the two turned their gaze to the three remaining powered soldiers as the ones they had knocked down earlier were starting to get up. "This is turning out to be harder than I thought."
"I think I know a way to win, but just know that it's going to get them hurt pretty bad." said Kakashi.
"As long as they don't die, that's all that matters." said Mako.
"Fine. When I tell you the time, shoot a lightning of your own. As powerful as you can." said Kakashi receiving a nod from the firebender.
Kakashi took a couple of steps forward before he started gesturing with his hands at high speed.
"Lightning Style: Lightning Beast Tracking Fang!" shouted Kakashi as his hand was covered in electricity which then shot towards the enemy in the form of a dog.
A powered soldier tried to block the attack by erecting a huge earthen barrier, but because the dog was connected to Kakashi's hand like a leash, the copycat ninja was able to make the dog jump over the barrier towards the powered soldiers. It then ran around them, forming a sort of electric circle around them before biting one of them, making him roar in pain as the electricity hit him hard.
"Now!" shouted Kakashi.
Although he was surprised by the technique, as soon as he heard the signal, he focused on the situation and launched a powerful lightning that, upon hitting the electric dog, an electric explosion occurred that hit all the powered soldiers, making them roar in pain.
By the time the electricity stopped hitting them, all the powered soldiers fell to the ground.
Mako was panting a little from the exertion in the fight.
"Well, what do we do now?" asked Kakashi placing his band so that it covered his eye with the Sharingan.
"For the time being, hold them off and watch them so they don't escape. When we can, we'll go help the others." said Mako.
"Good thinking. I can tell you're a cop." said Kakashi.
"Thank you?" asked Mako not knowing if it was a compliment or not.
"Well then, we can only wait until the others have gotten through theirs." said Kakashi sitting on a downed powered soldier before pulling out his book and reading it.
Needless to say, Mako was a bit confused by the way the copycat ninja was acting.
Bolin was a bit startled at the sight of the powered soldiers launching into the attack.
"Hey, you!" exclaimed Kiba pulling the earthbender out of his state. "Don't just stand there looking like a coward! Now is a better time to fight!"
Bolin put his fear aside upon hearing the doggy ninja's words. He knew that, if he let any of those powered soldiers through, many people would get hurt and he couldn't allow that.
"You're right, let them come this way, I'll show them why I'm a member of Team Avatar!" exclaimed Bolin with determination.
Kiba shot the earthbender a toothy grin.
"Well said. In that case, we're no slouches either, are we, Akamaru?" asked Kiba receiving a bark from the dog.
It was then that Kiba got down on all fours before his body was enveloped in chakra, which caused his teeth to become sharper, as well as the nails on his hands.
"All-Fours Jutsu!" shouted Kiba. "And to top it off…!" exclaimed Kiba before Akamaru was engulfed in an explosion of smoke, and when it dissipated, it was seen that he had transformed into a form similar to Kiba. "Man Beast Clone!"
Bolin was shocked to see that the dog had similar abilities to the ninja.
A powered soldier lunged forward in an attempt to crush both dog ninja, but they jumped aside before attacking him with their claws, leaving him with marks that made him roar in pain.
The powered soldier turned around to try to smash them again, but they hit him with a double uppercut that was strong enough to knock him down.
Another powered soldier proceeded to raise a pair of earthen pillars to then hurl them towards Bolin, but the earthbender managed to block one and use it to destroy the other before throwing it back at the throwing soldier.
Another powered soldier joined several metal plates together to make larger ones before bending them into swords that he then threw towards the earthbender, but Bolin used lava control to create a wall of lava that blocked, as well as melted, the metal swords. He then launched jets of lava that he then hardened before impacting the powered soldier, knocking him down in the process.
"Fang Over Fang!" shouted Kiba as he and Akamaru began spinning like two drills and lunging to hit the powered soldiers.
One powered soldier tried to undo the attack by attacking them with huge rocks, but the two would manage to smash the rocks before heading towards the powered soldier, hitting him, and knocking him down.
A pair of powered soldiers pulled out all their metal ropes and tangled them together to make a huge metal whip which they intended to use to hit Bolin, but he dodged to the side to dodge the whip before creating his lava shuriken and throwing it, cutting the metal whip in the process. After that, he caused a pair of columns to rise from the ground beneath the two soldiers, sending them crashing into each other before forming two earthen walls to crush them together.
Normally, he wouldn't do that, as the victim would be badly hurt, but considering that they were now much tougher, he didn't have to hold back.
The remaining powered soldiers used all their strength to create several huge and thick earthen walls to defend themselves from the attack of the doggy ninjas. Seeing that, Kiba and Akamaru stopped and looked at the walls with a toothy, feral grin.
"That brings back memories, doesn't it?" asked Kiba, receiving a bark from the other Kiba who happened to be Akamaru. "Then let's settle it the same way." said Kiba before an explosion of smoke enveloped the two of them and when it dissipated, in their place was a large white two-headed dog. "Man Beast Transformation Combo: Two-Headed Wolf!" shouted Kiba before launching himself into the walls. "Wolf Fang Over Fang!" shouted Kiba as the two-headed dog started spinning at high speed, forming a huge drill that easily destroyed all the walls until he reached the powered soldiers, hitting them and knocking them down in the process.
"Wow, that was the most amazing thing I've ever seen!" said Bolin as Kiba and Akamaru undid the transformation.
"He. Thanks. We were practicing." said Kiba before Akamaru let out a bark.
"Do you think they were the last ones?" asked Bolin looking at all the downed powered soldiers.
Kiba and Akamaru sniffed the air a bit.
"Yes. We didn't detect any more of them around." said Kiba.
"Alright, I guess now we have to hold back and make sure they don't do any more damage." said Bolin.
"Good thinking." said Kiba.
A powered soldier tried to crush Asami, but she stepped aside before hitting him with her electrified glove. However, despite the electric shock he suffered, it seemed to not be effective enough and the powered soldier raised his fist to try to crush her again, much to the horror of the engineer.
Suddenly, the fist was caught by Tsunade's hand, much to Asami's surprise, before throwing him to crash into another powered soldier, knocking them both down due to the force of the throw.
"I'm sorry." said Asami lowering her head, as she felt that, now that things had escalated, she had become weaker.
"Don't apologize." said Tsunade causing the engineer to raise her head. "If you really want to protect your girlfriend, become stronger. You're pretty smart, aren't you? Then use that intelligence to find a way to win the battle."
Asami was impressed by the Hokage's words and now felt more confident in herself. She may not have had powers like most of her friends, but that wouldn't stop her from fighting for what she wanted or who she wanted.
"Wait, how do you know Korra and I are a couple?" asked Asami with an arched eyebrow.
"A lady knows about such things." said Tsunade winking at her before focusing on the battle.
One powered soldier lifted a huge rock which he hurled towards Tsunade, but she leapt towards the rock with a recoiled fist and, with a punch, shattered the rock into pieces before continuing its trajectory towards the powered soldier, hitting him in the face and pushing him into the ground, generating a crater in the process.
Another powered soldier threw a series of stalagmites emerging from the ground at her, but Tsunade grabbed the powered soldier she had just knocked down and threw him towards him, destroying the stalagmites in the way before impacting the other powered soldier, both being knocked down in the process.
"Gentle Fist!" shouted Hinata as she covered her hands in chakra and struck the powered soldiers in their vital points, knocking them down easily.
However, one powered soldier was able to dodge a blow before causing a pillar to emerge from the ground and hit the white-eyed girl, sending her backwards.
"I can't give up. Naruto is fighting with all his might. So must I." said Hinata as she quickly stood up. "Because when we get back, I'll talk to him!" declared Hinata before the chakra enveloping her hands changed shape until she had a lion's head in each hand. "Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists!" shouted Hinata before launching into an attack.
A powered soldier began to hurl metal blades like bullets, but Hinata used the lion heads to repel the blades closest to hitting her and, when she was in front of the powered soldier, she hit him hard in the chest, sending him flying backwards and knocking him down in the process.
Another powered soldier tried to attack her from behind with an earthen stalagmite that shot towards her, but, thanks to the Byakugan, she was able to notice it in time and, turning quickly, hit the stalagmite with a lion's head, destroying it completely.
Before the soldier could react, Hinata lunged towards him and hit him in the chest, sending him backwards and knocking him down.
Her electrified glove may not have been very useful anymore in fighting those powered soldiers, but, thanks to Tsunade's words, Asami was willing to keep fighting despite the disadvantage.
She quickly dodged to the side to dodge an emerging pillar from the ground before quickly running towards the powered soldier who did so. Once she caught up to him, she landed a couple of punches and kicks, but they had little effect.
Then, the powered soldier tried to grab her, but she quickly pulled away before laying on the powered soldier's back and putting her arms around his neck to hold on.
The powered soldier tried to grab her, but Asami managed to stay out of his reach. It was then that she noticed that another powered soldier noticed her presence and, with an idea in mind, she stuck her tongue out at the other soldier in mockery.
That caused the other powered soldier to growl before raising a large rock which he hurled towards the engineer, who was still clinging to the first powered soldier.
Before the rock hit her, Asami jumped away from the powered soldier she was clinging to, causing the rock to hit him before shooting an angry glare at the powered soldier who threw the rock, thus, provoking a fight between two powered soldiers.
Asami couldn't help but smile as she saw that her plan had worked perfectly. However, she noticed something out of the corner of her eye and as she turned her head, she gasped in horror as she saw a powered soldier running towards her.
Asami knew that she wouldn't be able to escape with her own legs and that the electrified glove was underpowered, but then, as she thought about the latter, another idea flashed through her head.
Wasting no time, she took off her glove and began fiddling with the wires. By the time the powered soldier reached her and raised both fists to crush her, Asami threw the glove at him and, due to the play with the wires she made, a short circuit occurred in the electrified glove that hit the enemy soldier with a very powerful shock, making him roar in pain.
By the time the electrical attack faded away, the powered soldier was trying to stay on his feet and trying to hit the engineer, but she reacted quickly with a horizontal kick to the face that knocked the powered soldier down.
Asami let out a couple of gasps as, had it not worked, she could have ended up badly hurt.
"Impressive. I knew you were a lot smarter than you looked." said Tsunade crossing her arms.
"Thank you, but I wouldn't have made it without your help, lady Hokage." said Asami.
"Still, you were amazing fighting those guys all by yourself." said Hinata with a smile.
"Thank you." said Asami with a slight blush at receiving so many compliments.
"Don't let your guard down yet. First we have to make sure these guys don't get up again." said Tsunade when suddenly, to the horror of the other two girls, a powered soldier got up behind her, but before he could go to say anything, Tsunade, without looking back, punched him with a punch that sent him back to the ground. "See what I mean?"
Kuvira was horrified. She knew that Guan was developing a serum to empower his soldiers and, from what she had been told, had already developed it, but she had never expected the result to be something so horrible.
Had she witnessed such results during her tenure, she would have banned the project and even punished anyone who continued working on it or used it during battle.
Now there were she and Sakura facing a group of powered soldiers who rushed into battle.
"I want you to know I would have prevented that." said Kuvira.
"I can imagine." said Sakura agreeing that she would never do something like that.
A powered soldier threw a huge metal plate towards Kuvira, but the metalbender made the plate split in two in mid-flight before swinging them past her, making them flip around like a boomerang and then throwing them back at the powered soldier, using the two parts to catch him.
Sakura dodged to the side to dodge a huge incoming rock before slamming her fist into another, shattering it in the process. The powered soldier who threw the rocks took advantage of the smokescreen generated by the rock's destruction to try to sneak attack her, but Sakura predicted that and gave him a hard punch to the stomach that sent him flying to crash into another powered soldier, knocking them both down in the process.
Kuvira rolled to the side to dodge an incoming punch from a powered soldier. Quickly, she threw a huge rock at his face, but the powered soldier was able to resist it. He raised his arm to smash her, but Kuvira threw several metal plates at his arm, nailing them in the process and making the powered soldier roar in pain.
Taking advantage of that, Kuvira caused a huge column to erupt from the ground and hit harder in the face, managing to knock him down.
Two powered soldiers raised two thick walls which they then threw towards Sakura from each side intending to crush her, but Sakura jumped high to avoid it and when she went down to the ground she grabbed the two walls, lifted them up and then threw them back at the two powered soldiers, hitting them so hard that they ended up defeated.
By the time, the two were done, all of the powered soldiers had been defeated.
"I may not like this method, but I admit that it gave them more than expected." said Kuvira.
"I agree. The only thing they lacked was a bit of control. Should we go help the rest?" asked Sakura.
"No. First we have to make sure my former soldiers don't rise up again. Besides, if Korra and Naruto are with Guan now, they won't need our help." said Kuvira.
"You're right. Knowing Naruto, I'm sure he'll be handling the situation well." said Sakura.
"I'm not handling this situation well!" shouted Naruto before dodging another huge incoming rock.
Shortly after the powered soldiers went on the attack, Naruto created a hundred clones that joined the fight.
One powered soldier launched a barrage of huge rocks that took out some clones before other clones closed in on him and hit him in the face, knocking him back.
Another powered soldier hit the ground hard, using earthbending to make the ground move like water, making Naruto and his clones struggle to keep their balance, which the first powered soldier took advantage of to make several stalagmites emerge from the ground, hitting many clones who disappeared, but Naruto managed to escape, although he received a small cut.
Korra was also in trouble.
A powered soldier threw several sharp metal plates as drills, but Korra launched a powerful flare that melted them. However, just as it was about to hit the powered soldier, he reacted quickly and erected a wall of earth that protected him from the flames.
Before Korra could act, a powered soldier lunged at her from the side, but just as she was about to dodge or counterattack, the powered soldier was faster than her and swung a punch at her body that sent her flying into a wall.
Korra coughed up some blood as she stood up, realizing that, if she let them hit her again, she would most likely not survive.
Determined not to die, Korra quickly used earthbending to cause a column of earth to rise from the ground beneath him and send him flying, but soon after he hit the ground, he got up.
It was then that she noticed a powered soldier throw a column of earth at her like a javelin and she used airbending to propel herself high and manage to dodge it.
She quickly used the water from her canteen to make icicles which she shot towards the powered soldier, but he used his arms as a shield, letting the icicles dig into them, causing him to let out a roar of rage and pain.
Naruto tried to restrain a powered soldier with his clones as he charged towards him with another clone at his side that was creating a blue energy sphere in his hand.
Naruto was about to slam his attack into him, but the powered soldier managed to rise up, sending the clones that were trying to hold him back flying and before Naruto could react, the powered soldier threw a rock at him at such a speed that he couldn't react and the rock ended up hitting him in the face, sending him backwards and causing him to lose concentration from the attack.
"Damn it. They're tougher than I thought." thought Naruto as he wiped a trace of blood from his mouth.
"I told you to be careful. Like right now!" shouted Kurama.
Naruto quickly turned his head to the side to see a powered soldier throw a rock at him, but the jinchuriki managed to dodge it. Unfortunately, several powered soldiers quickly surrounded him and before he could react, they all threw huge rocks at him that piled on top of him, burying him in the process.
"Naruto!" shouted Korra worried for her friend.
While Guan was happy to be rid of an obstacle, Korra was horrified to see her new friend being buried. She prayed to any spirit that he would be okay.
Suddenly, the rocks above Naruto began to shake before an explosion sent them flying along with a smoke wave that forced the commander and the Avatar to cover their eyes. When they opened them again, the two discovered Naruto standing in place, but he looked different as he had the eyes of when he enters Sage Mode.
Because Korra was in full brainwashing, she didn't remember much of her confrontation with him, that's why she was so surprised to see him in that state, as she felt a surge of power in him, but what struck her the most was that this power was different from Kurama's or the one he was using before.
"Alright! Do you want to play rough? You'll get it!" declared Naruto.
The powered soldiers responded with a bestial roar before launching into an attack.
A powered soldier began throwing several stalagmites at him, but Naruto quickly dodged the attacks as he ran straight at him. When he got close enough, he hit him in the chest, sending him flying quickly into a mountainous wall, being knocked down in the process.
Korra and Guan's mouths dropped open at the sight of the jinchuriki's increased strength.
Another powered soldier attempted to smash Naruto with a rock-covered fist, but Naruto was able to dodge the attack before kicking him in the face that sent him crashing into another powered soldier, knocking them both down.
Another powered soldier tried to attack him from behind by throwing several sharp metal plates at him in machine gun fashion.
Naruto could notice it and was about to block it, but then, Korra stepped behind him and used her metalbending to stop the plates before making them go back to their original launcher, driving them all over his body, which made him roar in pain, something the Avatar took advantage of to run at him and give him in the face a horizontal kick wrapped in ice, making the blow hard enough to knock him down.
"I could have dodged it, but thanks." said Naruto.
"You're welcome, but what's wrong with your eyes? Where did you get so much strength?" asked Korra wanting to know about the jinchuriki's wise way.
"It's a long story. I'll explain it to you later." said Naruto.
The two braced themselves when they saw that they were surrounded by powered soldiers.
One slammed his fists into the ground, causing an explosion of earth to happen below them, but Naruto and Korra used their enhanced strength and airbending to be able to dodge the blast.
Naruto created a large number of clones that swooped down to hit the powered soldiers, managing to do more damage to them due to the Sage Mode.
Korra took advantage of the debris from the explosion to send them towards the powered soldiers, managing to hit a couple, leaving only one. When she landed on the ground, Korra used some water to encase his feet in ice, preventing him from taking another step.
Before he counterattacked, Korra used metalbending to manipulate the remnants of metal plates in the area and entangle them around his body to completely restrain him before hitting him in the face with a very large rock, knocking him down in the process.
It was then that she noticed a powered soldier intent on assaulting her from behind, but Korra quickly turned around as a very Rasengan-like sphere of air formed in her hand. With a cry of exertion, she impacted the sphere into the chest of the powered soldier, causing a blast of wind that sent him flying until he impacted another powered soldier, both of them being knocked down in the process.
By the time Naruto had defeated the last of the powered soldiers, he noticed the Avatar's move.
"EH?! Since when you know how to use Rasengan?" asked Naruto in disbelief.
"Well, I've seen it so many times that I got the hang of it. Besides, it wasn't that different from an airbending technique." said Korra.
"Damn it. It took me months to learn how to do it and she pulls it off on the first try." thought Naruto growling internally.
"That's because, unlike you back then, she has a better control of her skills." said Kurama with a small smile.
Suddenly, Naruto sensed something and pulled Korra towards just as a metal plate was about to impale her.
They both turned their gaze towards the thrower of that plate and to their little surprise, it happened to be Guan.
"I must admit, you have been a bigger obstacle than I thought. Especially you, boy. I would have liked someone with your skills to serve my army." said Guan.
"I would never serve a guy who is willing to do this to his own men!" said Naruto.
"Surrender, Guan! Your enhanced army is down! It's over!" said Korra.
"You may be right about my army being defeated, but you're not right about this being over. This battle won't end until I say so." said Guan.
"You? You must be crazy if you think you can defeat the two of us all by yourself." said Naruto.
"I would be... if it weren't for the fact that I still have an ace up my sleeve." said Guan pulling out a syringe containing a certain glowing green liquid.
Korra and Naruto began to worry as they sensed what he was planning to do.
"Wait, don't do it!" said Korra trying to stop him.
But it was too late, as Guan ended up injecting the liquid into his veins. In the next instant, he began to groan in pain as he writhed. In the end, his body underwent the same transformation that the soldiers underwent.
"Guan, what have you done to yourself?" asked Korra horrified that the former commander was willing to do that.
"Whatever it takes to raise the Earth Empire." said Guan.
"Wait, didn't you say the serum turned people into mindless beasts, how come you can talk normally?" asked Naruto remembering the information they got from Korra.
"Yes, that's true, but I developed a single dose of a perfect serum with no side effects. Originally, I didn't plan to attack until I had more doses ready, but circumstances pushed me to act immediately. However, everything has gone wrong because of you and that's something I'm going to fix right now!" declared Guan.
"Wow, he's gone crazier than I thought." said Naruto.
"If he still keeps his sanity, then he'll be a very tough opponent." said Korra.
"She's right. Don't get overconfident even if you're in Sage Mode." said Kurama.
"When have I ever been overconfident?" asked Naruto.
"I'd rather not answer that question." muttered Kurama.
Korra decided to attack first with sharp ice waves, but Guan reacted by covering his rock arms which he used as a shield before shooting the gauntlets like rockets at them, but they dodged it.
Naruto rushed towards him and tried to hit him, but he dodged it. However, a mysterious force pushed him backwards, but he managed to land on his feet and slide before coming to a stop.
Korra started throwing rocks, but the commander dodged some while others he neutralized with his own rocks. After that, he stomped the ground, causing the ground beneath Korra to shake and she was forced to jump to avoid a possible ground attack, but that was something he expected, because then, he threw a metal plate that wrapped around her foot and sent her back to the ground with force.
Suddenly, Guan found himself being punched and kicked by multiple Naruto clones, but he pushed them away as he opened his arms. Before they went to attack again, Guan slammed both of his fists into the ground, causing a row of stalagmites to erupt from the ground around him, hitting all of the clones, which caused an explosion of smoke to cover the area.
Naruto thought he could take advantage of that, but then, Guan came out of the smoke and managed to hit the jinchuriki before he could react.
"Did you think you could fool me with that smoke cover? The Beifong family isn't the only one who can see with their feet." said Guan before noticing the Avatar propelling himself towards him with airbending while holding a wind sphere in one hand and a fire sphere in the other hand.
Before he could attempt to block the attack, Korra hit the powered former commander with both spheres, resulting in an explosion of powerful fire that sent him flying backwards.
Guan tried to get up, but then, he heard a scream and as he looked up, he saw Naruto leaping over him with a giant blue energy sphere in his hand.
"Odama Rasengan!" shouted Naruto impacting the sphere into the powered former commander, causing a huge explosion.
The two positioned themselves next to each other, hoping that those two powerful attacks had knocked him down. Unfortunately, when the smoke cleared, the two were left wide-eyed as they saw Guan getting up with little difficulty.
"I-Impossible." said Korra.
"Those back-to-back attacks should have hit him a hell of a lot, but he's still able to stand up." said Naruto.
"It's definitely a thing of that booster serum." said Kurama.
"Hahaha. HAHAHA. Now do you see? Thanks to my serum, I'm more powerful than the Avatar and that strange sorcerer combined! Soon I'll kill you and the Earth Empire will emerge with me as its supreme overlord!" said Guan with a bit of madness.
"Okay, he's starting to get a lot crazier than before." commented Naruto.
"How are we going to defeat him?" asked Korra.
"Hahaha. Defeat me? I know all your moves. There's nothing you do that I don't expect. I'm invincible!" declared Guan.
That made a light bulb go off in Naruto's mind. Guan was right, he had seen almost all of his moves during the fight against his soldiers and powered soldiers, but he knew one move that no one he didn't know would expect.
"I have an idea. When you find the right moment, attack him with the biggest Rasengan you can create." said Naruto.
Korra may not have known exactly what the jinchuriki was planning, but she trusted him, so she gave him a nod in agreement.
Naruto created six clones around him before they launched themselves towards the powered former commander.
"Are you seriously going to attack me head on? You're out of ideas, aren't you?" asked Guan preparing to use his bending powers.
"Quite the opposite, I'm always full of ideas!" said Naruto before he and his clones jumped towards him.
While they were in the air, Naruto made a hand gesture that covered him and his clones with a burst of smoke.
Suddenly, by the time the smoke cleared, standing in place of Naruto and his clones were several blonde women with mustaches on their faces and completely naked.
"Harem Jutsu!" shouted Naruto.
Korra couldn't help but blush completely, as a line of blood ran from her nose, seeing Naruto use such a technique in the middle of battle, especially when the blonde women stood around the former commander and started caressing him while talking in a flirtatious manner.
"Naruto, what I said before about you not being a pervert… I totally take it back!" thought Korra remembering how she defended the jinchuriki after discovering her masked teacher's obscene reading taste, but now she was regretting doing so.
But the one who was most shocked by that technique was Guan, since he was the victim of sexy, flirtatious women.
Suddenly, before he could react to the situation, Naruto, still in his female form, punched him full force in the face, sending him flying backwards, much to the Avatar's surprise.
"Amazing! It worked!" thought Korra surprised that a technique like that actually did any good.
As Guan continued to fly backwards, Naruto, who had returned to his normal form, quickly stepped into his path with a blue energy sphere in each hand.
"Rasenrengan!" shouted Naruto impacting the two spheres into the powered former commander, sending him back the way he came.
Korra shook off the earlier surprise to remember her friend's plan and quickly ran towards where Guan was headed as he formed a huge wind sphere in his hand.
Jumping up with a cry of exertion, she struck the powered former commander with the wind sphere, causing a blast of wind that pushed him violently against the ground, creating a huge crater in the process.
By the time the smoke caused by the explosion cleared, Guan was seen buried under several pieces of debris.
"Is it over?" asked Naruto stepping to the Avatar's side.
"I'm not sure." said Korra.
Naruto was about to step forward when Korra sensed something and managed to pull the jinchuriki back before he was impaled by a stalagmite.
Soon after, there was a small explosion in the rubble and out of the resulting hole, Guan came out, letting out a roar of rage.
"No! You won't defeat me with those dirty tricks! I am stronger than the Avatar! I am the one who will rule the Earth Empire!" shouted Guan before setting about hurling several huge rocks.
Korra and Naruto were forced to move back and forth to dodge them, though at times, Naruto would use his enhanced strength to break the rocks while Korra used her elemental powers to do the same.
But then, after dodging another rock, Guan slammed both of his fists into the ground, causing a pillar to emerge from the ground and catapult the two into the air. Doing the same to himself, he shot up until he was above them and before they could react, he hit them both, sending them back to the ground.
When they got up, Korra was amazed, not only because they had survived such a blow and fall, but they were covered by a strange orange cloak.
The most surprising thing was that it felt like the energy that Kurama possessed.
Shortly after getting up completely, the orange cloak disappeared completely.
"What was that from before?" asked Korra confused by that cloak that protected them from the blow.
"That was Kurama's chakra. He must have enveloped us in it before Guan hit us. If not for that, we would have died." said Naruto.
Needless to say, Korra was surprised that Kurama gave them some of his energy to save them.
"I don't know if you hear me, Kurama, but thank you." said Korra with a smile.
"You're welcome." said Kurama with a smile.
Suddenly, Guan landed in front of them forcefully.
"I don't know how you survived that, but there won't be a second time. It's time to end this!" said Guan.
"Notice. For once, I agree with him." said Naruto.
"Me too. Let's get this over with already." said Korra.
"I think we're thinking the same thing, aren't we?" asked Naruto giving her a toothy grin.
"Of course we are." said Korra returning the smile.
They both closed their eyes, leaving Guan a little confused by that, but then, he kept his eyes open when the following happened.
Korra opened her eyes, but they looked white while glowing a little. Sign that he had entered the Avatar State.
While Naruto, was engulfed in golden flames and when they dissipated, he looked very different, as he had entered Kurama Chakra Mode which was fused with Sage Mode, as could be seen in his eyes which were cross shaped.
The two empowered warriors looked with a determined look at the powered former commander, who, while impressed by the jinchuriki's transformation, kept a calm expression.
"I don't know what kind of power that is, sorcerer, but neither that nor the Avatar State will be able to take me. My power is superior to anyone's!" said Guan superiorly before causing huge rocks to erupt from the ground before hurling them towards them.
Korra quickly launched a huge blast of fire that managed to destroy the rocks, generating a huge explosion of smoke in the process.
Before Guan could respond, Naruto flew out through the smokescreen and hit him hard, sending him flying backwards. Before he could go any further, two Naruto clones appeared in his path and gave him a double kick that sent him back to the ground.
"You won't stop me!" shouted Guan getting up and creating with the remains of metal plates metallic spiked balls that he launched towards the jinchuriki and the Avatar.
Korra used metalbending to make one spiked ball collide with another while Naruto grabbed two others with huge hands made of chakra of Kurama.
After getting rid of all the balls, Korra stomped her foot, causing large walls of earth to erupt from the ground in the direction of the powered former commander, as if it were a clash of continents, but it only took Guan one punch to destroy the series of walls.
However, Naruto took advantage of that to approach him and hit him with an uppercut that sent him flying upwards, but then Naruto grabbed him with his chakra arms before throwing him in the direction of Korra who covered his arm with ice to create an ice gauntlet with which he hit the powered former commander, sending him crashing to the ground.
Despite the tremendous damage he had taken after all those attacks, Guan was getting up, albeit with difficulty. When he looked up, he shot a look of fury towards the two warriors who were still looking at him seriously.
"Still don't you understand? No matter how many times you hit me! I'll take it all! That's the power I've gained and the power that will make the ruler of the Earth Empire!" exclaimed Guan having managed to get up.
"In that case, let's see if you can take this." said Naruto before turning to his friend. "You in?" asked Naruto receiving a nod from the Avatar.
Both raised their hands and brought them together, leaving a space while pointing their palms upwards.
Suddenly, a giant blue sphere of energy, a Rasengan, formed on both palms. Then, by Korra's power, a ring of fire, a ring of water and a ring of rocks joined the energy sphere and finally, four blades of wind formed around the energy sphere as they spun rapidly.
"Elemental Style: Rasen Avatar Shuriken!" the two shouted in unison before launching the combined attack.
"Go ahead and try it! I'll stop it with my power!" exclaimed Guan arrogantly before covering himself with a layer of stone and metal to act as armor.
But then, when the attack impacted against him, Guan, armor included, was pushed high into the air and then, an explosion occurred that formed a sphere of air.
Despite the wind that expelled the explosion, Naruto and Korra stood upright as they watched the result of their attack.
Inside the air sphere, Guan was screaming in pain as the technique caused thousands of micro spines to attack him for several seconds, in addition to the fire, water and earth part within the attack that increased the pain.
By the time the air sphere disappeared, Guan was seen lying in the air for a few seconds before falling to the ground.
Seeing that their opponent didn't get up, Korra came out of the Avatar State as Naruto undid Kurama Chakra Mode.
"It's over." said Naruto.
"Is he...?" asked Korra worried that she had gone too far with that attack.
Naruto cautiously approached the powered former commander's body and placed his hand on his neck.
"No. Just unconscious. I guess he got lucky." said Naruto.
"And a lot of it. If it hadn't been for that armor and his resistance boosted by the serum, he would have died." said Kurama.
"Do you think the others will be okay?" asked Korra approaching him.
"With my friends around, they will be. Besides, we've finished off the boss. As soon as his soldiers hear about it, they'll surrender." said Naruto.
"We make a good team, don't we?" asked Korra with a smile.
"Haha. Same here." said Naruto with a toothy grin.
"By the way, can you tell me what those powers were that you used during the fight?" asked Korra. "Except that harem technique." thought Korra not wanting to see that technique again.
"Well, like I told you, it's a long story." said Naruto.
For the next few minutes, while they waited for the others, Naruto was telling the Avatar about Sage Mode and Kurama Chakra Mode.
