Chapter 27

Where we last left off, everyone that try to investigate the Genesis Ark ship from ARK ran into a bit of a problem. Kazuma's Party, Nagumo's Party and Log Horizon came across a massive mass of biomass as they tried to get close to the ship. Adam and Sarge came in to help them make their way through. In another section, Team CFVY with Team JNPR and the Happy Huntresses also fight their way against the fleshy mess that is controlled by Rockwell. Rockwell notices that they have black boxes and wants them to become a true god.

Adam, Sarge, and the rest do their best to cut down the waves of tentacles and puss bombs as they fight their way towards the bridge. Megumi continues to use her explosion magic spell as it gets better and better with each explosion getting more bigger. Big enough to cut a pathway to the door. Darkness...well...I think we all know what Darkness wants. Being tentacle raped. Although, one of the tentacles tried to remove the black box on her arm, but to no avail. Much to Rockwell Prime's chagrin as his groans can be heard.

Kazuma cuts down the tentacle and catches Darkness. "Honestly." Kazuma says in disappointment, "You really are a worthless crusader."

"I am not!" Darkness takes offense to that. "I am keeping the enemy distracted by letting it use my body as they wish!"

'Yeah, totally worthless.'

Naotsugu slices through three of the tentacles before speaking to Darkness, "To be honest; you are an insult to us tanks."

"Wha-?!"

"HEY!" Adam shouts, "Less chit-chat and more combat!"

Sarge fires a round, "Damn straight!" Then Sarge shoots down another tentacle, "Time for us to be alive! And today's a good day to die as we charge into the evil lair of our enemies and squash them into submission! Then, terminate them with extreme prejudice." He looks at the charred hallway, "CHARGE!"

Nagumo asks Adam, "This guy is like a Texas cowboy of the United States. But worse."

Adam looks at Nagumo, "What the hell is Texas?"

Everyone unleash a flurry of spells and bullets through a wall of flesh and eyes as they make their way through. On the other side of the hallway, another wall of flesh gets destroyed by explosions. This was caused by Teams CFVY & JNPR along with the Happy Huntresses.

Robin approach the group on the opposite end. "Any luck finding the source?"

"Not yet." Yue replies. "But I sense a presence just on the other direction." Yue points at the flesh covered door on the third hallway. "The 'source' must be there."

"Good enough."

Pyrrha says to the other group, "Hello again!"

"Not surprising to see you guys alive." Adam says.

Sarge is jumping up and down like a kid, "Come on, come on! I want more! Give me MOOORE!"

"So you have everything get Sarge'd?" Adam asks in a sarcastic tone.

"Hell yeah! Ye-HA!"

Adam just groans.

Everyone blast through the doors as they entered into a large room. This room have strange fleshy nodes that stand twenty feet tall that look like pods with humanoid figures inside. Four of them with yellow lights shining behind and above them. The whole place is mostly covered in flesh with rotting, zombified faces that have glowing blue eyes and are staring right at them. On the other side of this chamber, there is a window which many believe that this might be the bridge, but there is a nasty throne made of various arms and legs on the metal floor. The enemy: Rockwell Prime.

"WeLl, wELl, weLL." Rockwell Prime smiles with glee as his other heads speak as one. "YoU hAvE aRrIvEd."

"EW!" Aqua is creeped out and disgusted. "That is nastier than the undead!"

All the other women are just as grossed out and disturbed.

Naotsugu is freaking out, "You think that's bad!? This thing is freaky!"

Shiro pushes his glasses, "Looks like we have a raid boss."

"ENOUGH TALK!" Rockwell shouts, "nOw, GIVE ME YOUR BLACK BOXES!"

Rockwell unleashes waves of tentacles along with unleashing a swarm of Summoners and Macrophages. Nagumo pulls out a massive machinegun-like weapon and fires at everything. Megumi uses her explosion spells to take out the heads to wound Rockwell Prime. Yue casts a lightning spell on one of the nodes as Shea fires a few rounds from her hammer, Tio unleashes a powerful fire spell, Kaori casts a barrier spell to protect her party. Shiro casts enhancement spells for everyone while Natosugu uses Anchor Howl to have all the monsters and tentacles attack him before using Castle of Stone.

Naotsugu says while taking the blunt of the attacks, "Man, these things are nasty! But at least my anchor howl is working!"

"Assassination!" Akatsuki manages to slice through a few tentacles.

Nyanta slices much of the tentacles with his rapiers. Sarge just shotgun his way towards another node and plans to take it down. Adam managed to get in front of Sarge and destroyed one of the nodes.

"Dag nabbit!" Sarge says, "You stole my kill!"

Adam jumps off the wall, "Shut up and fight!" and heads on over to the next node.

Sarge charges in another direction where the next node is but it was already taken care of by the KonoSuba party.

"Dammit! Save me some big targets!" Sarge is getting upset that he isn't getting anymore big kills. Then he charges at the last node but Adam took it down with one slice followed by a shotgun round into the head. "Dag nabbit kill stealing fucktards!" And so, Sarge just charges right at Rockwell Prime and starts shotgunning at him. Blowing his head's carapace open before using blunt force trauma to his brains and continues to do so out of frustration.

Everyone just watch as Sarge just continues to bash in and shoot the head of Rockwell Prime for a good ten seconds. Then Sarge removes several teeth of Rockwell Prime as trophies along with his glowing blue eye.

Sarge jumps down and goes, "Now that's how you claim your kill."

Alarms start blaring with red lights shining bright across. A woman's voice goes, "WARNING! WARNING! SELF-DESTRUCT SEQUENCE INITIATED! SELF-DESTRUCT IN FIVE MINUTES!"

Everyone look at Sarge.

Sarge goes, "Don't look at me! I just took down the main bad guy!"

Aqua runs around screaming and panicking, "WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO!?"

The Huntsmen head on to the remains of the controls despite they are covered in flesh.

Pyrrha tries one of the controls, "I think this is the navigation controls!"

Robyn looks at hers, "I think I got the master controls here!"

Jaune looks at his controls, "Mine are broken."

Robyn tries typing, "I'll see about shutting down the self-destruction from here."

Fiona checks her terminal, "There are some ships with cryopods. I'll send as many as I can to the Spearhead of Hope."

Joanna radios the others, "I'll let everyone else know."

Tanya is heard over the radio, "What the hell is going on?!" She demands answers.

Simmons is also on the radio, "Uh, Sarge? Why are the terminals saying that the ship will self-destruct? And can't you wait until we're OFF the ship!?"

"Hogwash!" Sarge says to Simmons, "I had nothing to do with that! I just took down the main bad guy on the ship and the old movie trope kicks in!"

Robyn thinks she got it, "I think I got it!" and presses a button.

"SELF-DESTRUCT ABORTED."

Everyone sigh in relief.

Adam sits down, "I'm getting tired of this."

"Come on now!" Sarge says to Adam. "You're young. You're hot-blooded. Fighting is in your nature! I would love to have a son like you. Except I won't like it if you kill steal."

Adam just facepalm in exhaustion and Sarge's idiocy.

"We're safe for now." Robyn says as she sighs in relief. "But I highly doubt we can bring a ship like this to the Spearhead."

Ren tries to get something out of the computers, "I'll download as much information as I can for the scientists to do research on. There might be a clue on this ship about the Grand Paradise System and who that man was."

Nora checks at one of the computers, "I...uh... Is there anything for me to smash?"

Jaune checks some of the other computers, "I'll see if I can do some rewiring for some. I hope."

May got off the radio, "I just received word that the shuttles made their way towards one of the hangars. They're gonna keep the pods under quarantine for now and keep the people in stasis until we reach our destination."

Joanna finished speaking with the other groups, "I just let the others know about what just happened."

Pyrrha checks one of the terminals, "I'm reading power fluctuations all over the ship after we defeated that thing. Wait..." She takes a closer look at the screen and notices something terrible. "Oh no."

"WHAT?!" everyone went.

"The ship is knocked out of orbit and is gonna crash into the planet!"

Outside, the ship slowly gets pulled into the gravity well of the gas giant that is ruby red in coloration. The sails of the ship are getting ripped apart with some parts of the ship crumbling away as it gets absorbed.

Back inside, the whole ship starts shaking and is slowly being torn apart as everyone tries to find their balance.

Ren is double timing his download, "I still need time! Just two minutes!"

Pyrrha places her hands on the floor and shouts, "Jaune!"

"On it!" Jaune runs up and places his hand on her shoulder to amplify her semblance.

Pyrrha uses her semblance to try to stabilize the ship with the planet's magnetic field.

Outside, the front of the ship is remaining in place but the back is slowly being dragged into the planet. The back of the ship is being torn apart that the ship nearly snaps in two. Everyone that is on the ship evacuated and flew over towards the Spearhead for Hope while leaving behind the transports due to the strong gravity.

Pyrrha is in pain despite the boost she is receiving from Jaune since the planet's gravity is stronger. As the two work their hardest, one piece of the ceiling comes crumbling down on the two. Adam slices it to protect Jaune and Pyrrha.

Adam looks at Ren, "How much longer!?"

"Ten seconds! It should be- AAH!" The computer short-circuited and ruined the download.

"Time to go!" Shiro says as he blows the window open.

Everyone exited out of the ship as it crumbles to pieces into the planet. They all flew back to the Spearhead of Hope with Ren not looking all that thrilled.

Nora flies to his right, "You okay?"

"Almost. I almost got the data on our new home." Ren feels like a failure. "Just hope the others have better luck retrieving the data."

"Hey now!" Nora tries to cheer him up, "At least we got something! It should be better than nothin' at all."

Over at the OTHER mysterious ship, everyone is bringing the pods with a little spell that they learned from a young boy that can use spatial magic that is meant to hold living beings. But due to what the women have, they decide to keep them in their pods. Tucker is being pulled away on a gravity stretcher with a huge block of ice on his crotch.

Weiss looks over the data, "I see. So the chips are made from the same material as the black boxes. That would explain why they felt pain."

Blake looks over at the tablet Weiss is holding and sees the similarities. "Now I see." she says as Ginro is taken away on a similar stretcher and has ice on his crotch.

Caboose is right next to Blake, "What is it that you see?"

"Whoa!" the two girls jumped when Caboose showed up.

"Caboose?!" Weiss is startled, "Where did you come from!?"

Caboose explains, "Oh, I was lost in the vent thingy and meet this nice fox lady and she did a few no-no's to me. She's taking a nap after doing the no-no to my wiener and let her sleep with a blanket on her so she wouldn't catch a cold."

The two just give Caboose awkward stares at him and aren't giving any comment.

"You two okay? You two are really weird."

They both say at him, "You're the only one that is weird."

Not too far, Alpha is helping Yang with some of the information that is extracted. However, his body lies motionless and dead on the floor. Yang is looking at her tablet as a bunch of green zeroes and ones pass through a black background. After some time, Alpha appears in his body as the lights shine blue and now floats back up in the air.

"Okay, I've finished."

"Any luck?"

"Not really. Turns out that there is some sort of program that wipes or corrupts any data regarding the GP System. I managed to restore some information, but most of it is still missing. Might have to check the data with the other group when we make it back at the Spearhead of Hope. I hope that they have better luck than we do."

"And if not?"

"I'll see if I can mix and match whatever information we got with the current map of the galaxy. Might need the other AIs to help me make the work go faster. It could take a few days to sort and fix everything pending on how bad it is. Longer if its a lot worse than we thought."

Yang sighs, "Things are gonna take a lot longer than I hoped."

"Oh come on! What's the worse that can happen?"

(9V9)/: I think I found them!

(9V9)/: Oh wait.

(9V9)/: Nevermind.

(9V9)/: Went the wrong way.

LightningKINGofOLYMPUS: Does anyone wanna take a bet on he's gonna find them in the next hour?

Twilight Rose: I'll take that bet.

W1NG3D-SANDAL: My bet is that he's gonna lose when trying to get Magnus back.

JustAss: I'm in!

SixSex: Count me in!

So every god on the Inter-Warp are making bets.

Back on the Spearhead of Hope, Washu and Magnus finally found a way to open the pod.

"I think that should do it." Magnus says as the pod pressurized.

The first door opens to reveal a boy with dual-colored green and crimson hair of average length sticking out in downwards pointing spikes all around his head, with the exception of one short upwards pointing spike of green hair. He wears his good-luck charm pendant on a simple string around his neck, and a buckled choker, and a pair of golden goggles with orange lenses on his forehead, with a blue star obscuring the right lens. He wears a simple orange t-shirt with a thick, silver-buckled brown belt over it, green pants with what appear to be "Deck pockets" on each leg, and magenta shoes, as well as crimson wristbands. He also wears his gold and red lined white school jacket over his shoulders like a cape.

The boy slowly opens his crimson eyes and asked, "What...happened...to...me...?"
