You Are My Love
Summary: MY OWN IDEA FOR AFTER CHAPTER 132! It doesn't really happen, but it'd be cute if it did. This fanfic is for a special friend of mine. Fai confesses to the person he really loves. ONE-SHOT! FxS
The rain was burning his back, but he didn't care. His blond hair was covering his right eye, his left eye, covered by an eye patch, had been eaten by one of his old comrades which happened to be a clone; Syaoran.
Right now, the only thing Fai cared about was the auburn-haired girl he was holding in his arms. She had cuts and bruises and was bleeding badly, but she didn't care. The only thing she had cared about was that Fai was in more pain than her. It might've been true, but Fai cared more about the girl than himself. The girl had went through so much, to get something for him.
"Bring her inside to get her wounds cleaned ..." the black spiky-haired and crimson-eyed ninja said quietly. Kurogane sounded slightly worried for Sakura, but Fai couldn't really tell. Fai carefully picked Sakura up, making sure he had a good grip on her, and brought her inside. She looked like she wanted to tell Fai that he didn't have to go through all this trouble, but kept quiet.
As Fai brought Sakura to a room, he carefully laid her on the bed and cleaned some of her wounds on her legs. Her skin was very smooth and delicate, and he couldn't believe that there were so many scars. Sakura looked at him with her emerald eyes. They were looking at him with worry, but Fai smiled. "Please lay down, Sakura-chan, you need some rest." he said quietly.
She shook her head slightly. "Fai-san ... why?"
"Hm? Why what?" Fai said, tilting his head slightly.
"Why are you cleaning my wounds? You don't have to ..."
"But I want to, Sakura-chan." he said, smiling softly.
"Fai-san ..." she gripped his shirt lightly. "Why do you do these things for me? You're so nice to me, and you're very gentle, you always watch over me and you cheer me up when I'm sad. Why?" she asked again, looking at his face. Fai smiled and sighed, deciding it would be time to tell her. "The reason I do all these things for you is because ..." Sakura tilted her head, blinking, and after a few moments, he finally said what he wanted to say for a long time.
"I love you,
Sakura gasped and looked at him, surprised. Not once, has she EVER heard ANYONE say those words to her, and the way Fai said them, made her feel like she was wanted by someone in this world. Her eyes burnt with tears and she suddenly sat up and threw her arms around Fai, knocking them to the floor.
"I ... I love you too, Fai-san..." she whispered softly in his ear. Fai smiled, not one of his usual fake ones, but a true one, and wrapped his arms around her, embracing her.
Sakura looked up at him, tears running down her face and smiling. Fai smiled back and leaned closer, slowly pressing his lips against hers. She blushed, not really expecting this, but returned the kiss and it felt like they were kissing for hours until they broke apart.
Fai stroked her hair lightly and whispered softly. "Get some sleep now ... Sakura." Sakura nodded, smiling and layed back on the bed, Fai pulling the blankets over her and kissing her forehead.
"I love you, and I will always protect you ... Sakura"
