It's been a month since Jaune went to the career fair. When he got home that evening, Jaune was surprised that Saphron finally came out of the closet and told the family that she was into women rather than men. She then proceeded to tell the family that she's been dating Terra for a few months now. The family was happy for her. Unlike other families, the Arc family is quite open when it comes to these things. Noah and Joan don't care about the gender their children date and marry, as long as they're happy.

For the past month, Jaune continued to spin for the Gacha. Once more, this month, Jaune did not receive anything noteworthy. All he got were Trash and Common items.

Currently, Jaune was in his (Training Room – Legendary). With Alice help, Jaune has started to learn more than the basics of using a sword. According to Alice, since Jaune has (Arifar – Legendary) and has been accepted by the sword, he should train to control the swords abilities.

Three days, that's all it took Jaune to completely gain control of Arifar's ability to control the wind. Thanks to (Sword Talent – God), Jaune was able to feel the abilities of Arifar as a part of him, making the training easier.

Arifar itself has two powerful abilities.

[Lay Adimos – Arifar summons the winds and can blow a platoon of soldiers away, causing severe damage. It is often used as a distant projectile. In the most bizarre cases, it is capable of slaying a dragon. Arifar gathers as much wind to create a tornado and/or a sphere of wind and can be shot towards a target, then the target is lifted up to mid-air and the wind sphere slices it into pieces.

Verni – Arifar helps its user to jump very high. It also provides wind support with which its user can float in mid-air. Its additional property also increases sprint speed and even allows user or others to float]

The two abilities of Arifar are extraordinary, but Jaune was able to create his own after he gained complete control of Arifar.

[Wind Blade – Arifar gathers wind to its blade and compress it. Once the power necessary has been achieved, the user may release the compressed wind as a projectile. This technique is capable of cutting the toughest of metal.

Wind Barrier – With Arifar's ability to control the wind, Jaune can control the wind and surround himself or others with it. The more control Jaune has over the wind of Arifar, the more powerful the barrier. Jaune can also make the barrier he creates burst to blow back his enemies.

Wind Sense – Jaune can communicate with the wind around him and sense things the eyes can't see. With this, Jaune can react to ambush or traps that would otherwise have killed him without notice. The wind is Jaune's friend]

In the evening, after Jaune was done with his training and making dinner, he thought it was time for him to train fighting Grimm.

[Alice suggests that Jaune take this time to gain fighting experience with the weaker Grimm at the back of the Arc Household. However, Alice believes that Jaune should rest for today and gain experience fighting in the morning. It is risky fighting with a fatigued body]

"That's true," Jaune said. "As much as I want to gain experience, I'm still new at this and fighting with a tired body and mind is not good. Alright, I'll take your advice, Alice. Goodnight".

The following morning, Jaune was in the forest at the back of the Arc Household. He lied to his family that he was heading to town. After they approved of him leaving the house, Jaune sneaked into the forest and made his way deep enough in the forest that no one could see or hear him.

The forest in the back of the Arc Household is relatively safe as Noah, Jaune's father, always makes sure to clean up and Grimm that comes close by. However, once you get deep enough into the forest, one will encounter Grimm. Still, there are barely any Grimm.

After a few minutes of sprinting with Verni, Jaune finally encountered Grimm. The Grimm in front of him was a pack of Beowolves. Jaune brandished Arifar in his hand and observed the Grimm in front. He did not make any careless mistake, such as charging at the Grimm head-on.

Jaune slowly approached the Grimm, and once the Grimm made a striking motion, Jaune took this time to use Verni to increase his speed and slice the Grimm in half.

Upon seeing its pack member getting killed, the rest of the Beowolves attacked Jaune. However, it was pointless as Jaune was faster and more agile than the Grimm. Every swiping motion that the Beowolves make becomes their death. That's because it takes a few seconds for the Beowolves to complete its swiping motion, while Jaune only needs a second to arrive in front of said Grimm and bisect it.

Jaune continued fighting for three hours. In this timeframe, Jaune was able to combat Beowolves, Ursa, Boarbatusks and their Alpha and Major counterpart. Once Jaune got tired, he left the forest and headed back home, but not before heading to town first and buying a few ingredients for dinner.

Jaune and his family have been talking about the future again at dinner. Such as what they want to do. When the question landed on Jaune, he had an answer ready.

"I saw online about robotics, and I found it interesting," Jaune replied. "I've been studying it ever since. I've also started saving my allowance so that I could buy a custom computer that I could use for programming".

"That's great," Noah said in a pleased tone. "I bet that you could be one of the best out there. Maybe you might even surpass Dr Polendina".

"I've heard about him," Jaune said. "Isn't he the best of the best when it comes to engineering in Atlas? The only person on par with him was someone called Arthur Watts, but the man turned traitor and was killed".

"That's him," Noah said. "He was someone that I met during a mission in Atlas. It was a mission to protect him at all costs. Atlas really values him a lot. The mission to protect him was the reason we have this house".

"Whoa!" Jaune said with astonishment. "That's a lot of money to protect one person".

The conversations continued until after dinner. Jaune's younger sisters didn't really find anything suspicious about the conversation about Jaune taking an interest in robotics. No, they knew that Jaune was indeed interested in robotics, but they had a feeling that they were missing something.

While Jaune was in the toilet, the older sisters of Jaune and his mother were having a conversation. They have twenty minutes before Jaune returns, as it always takes him that long to go number two.

"Something's not right. I can feel it," Jeanne said. "I know Jaune more than anyone here, and I know for a fact that stubborn idiot isn't going to give up his dream of being a Huntsman. He's up to something".

"Well, obviously," Saphron said. "I don't know how long this has been going on, but I think it has at least been a few months. Did you all realise that sometimes Jaune would disappear for a few hours even if he never left the house?".

"I have," Joan said. "I've asked Jaune about it, and he would reply with the same thing repeatedly. Jaune would say he was taking time off from you girls in the shed. But once, I checked the shed, and he wasn't there, then I saw a bright light, and suddenly, he was inside. I let it go since I thought that he might have just been in a corner that I didn't see".

"I also made an observation of my own about Jaune," Jayden said. "Sometimes, I would see him looking at thin air for long periods as if he was communicating with something. With my mentality, I thought that maybe Jaune was in a phase where he has an imaginary friend, but then I remembered that Jaune was already thirteen, so imaginary friends are unlikely. Then I made a stupid guest and thought that Jaune might be seeing a ghost. I was paranoid for a while".

"Is that the reason you avoided Jaune for a month straight three months ago?" Saphron asked. Jayden nodded at the question. "You know Jaune thought that you hated him since you were avoiding him".

"I know! Thankfully I was able to correct the misunderstanding," Jayden said. "I would hate it if Jaune thought that I didn't care for him".

Twenty minutes into the conversation and they got nothing. Jaune came back from the toilet and prepared his bed for sleep. Five minutes later, Jaune and the rest of the Arc family has started to sleep as well.

Three months later. A month after Jaune started killing Grimm, he was getting more proficient at fighting. Beowolves, Ursai and Boarbatusks were no longer a challenge. So, with Alice's suggestion, Jaune headed deeper into the forest, where he met Elder Deathstalker and Beringal.

Deathstalker exhibited powerful defence and poison, but their manoeuvrability was low, while Beringal were fast and strong with excellent manoeuvrability and could jump a great distance. However, its defence was lower than that of a Deathstalker. Jaune would hunt this Grimm for a month and gain even more experience fighting.

However, Jaune stopped going to the forest a month ago since his mother was paying more attention to him.

With attention on him, Jaune had to lessen his training in the forest and in his training room, but he didn't waste his time. Since he couldn't train as much as before, he concentrated on robotics. He was reading up on the latest trend regarding robotics. However, he was disappointed when he read about the most 'advanced' Atlesian knights. It was garbage.
