Two years passed, and Jaune was ready to sneak out of the house and head to Vale. It was easy as well. He just jumped out of his window and used Arifar's Verni to float.

Why was Jaune heading to Vale? The Initiation for Beacon Academy was in a week. They are currently conducting entrance exams for people who want to be a Huntsman without a transcript due to circumstances. Another reason why Jaune is excited to head to Vale because he can finally open an account where he can put all his lien without his parents finding out.

"I can't miss this test, or else I'll have to fake my way in," Jaune said. "That's not something I would like to do, plus I probably will get caught somehow".

[I don't get why you are joining this Huntsman Academy. It would be better to head to another world and train against a stronger opponent. Aren't you just wasting your time with this Huntsman Academy?]

"I know I would be stronger by going to other worlds, but I don't want to keep being a loner, a man without a friend," Jaune said. "I want to have a bro that I can share secrets with, though, I probably would never share the existence of you to anyone. I want to have a friend. I've been friendless since I was ten".

[Yeah, I get it. All you've done for the past five years was train. You barely even left your house or your workshop. Now that I think about it, you really do need a friend. Sheesh! How did you survive being friendless for seven years?]

"Well, for the past five years, I had you, and in the recent years, I had her," Jaune said. "I was content with that. But over time, I thought it would be good to have someone to interact with that's closer to my age".

Jaune was in the bullhead port heading for Vale a few minutes later. With the amount of money Jaune has due to the Gacha and his store, he was not short on cash. So, he bought a first-class ticket to Vale with the fastest bullhead. Typically, it would take 10 hours to arrive in Vale from Jaune's hometown, but it would only be 2 hours with the quickest bullhead.

Jaune waited for a few minutes before it was time for boarding. The moment Jaune entered the bullhead, he was excited since he would finally take the first step to achieve his dream of being a Huntsman.

Two hours later, Jaune finally arrived in Vale. First, Jaune went to a bank to store all his lien from the Gacha. It was funny how the man taking care of Jaune's account application stared in shock at the amount of money a 17-year-old was storing. Jaune didn't even bat an eye on the man's reaction as he didn't care.

Once done in the bank, Jaune headed to the hotel he booked weeks ago. Thankfully his parents did not question the amount of money he had in his account due to his store. However, if Jaune was to add a million lien to his account, that would be a different story.

The hotel that Jaune was staying at is a five-star hotel. It was expensive, but Jaune believes that it was worth it. Once Jaune was in his room, he didn't have to unpack anything since he had all the things he needed in his Inventory. Since Jaune used the fasted bullhead to reach Vale, it was still night. So, Jaune went to bed.

The following morning, Jaune was ready to tackle the exam at Beacon. Arifar? Check. Dominator? Check. Aura? Check. After that, Jaune made his way to the bullhead port heading for Beacon.

Within thirty minutes, Jaune was at Beacon Academy. Looking around, Jaune was surprised that Beacon looked more like a castle than an academy. Looking around further, Jaune found a blonde woman with green eyes. She looked like someone that works at Beacon due to her demeanour. He went towards her to ask where the area for the entrance exam would be held.

"Excuse me, Miss," Jaune called. "Do you happen to know where the entrance exam would be held?".

"Hmm?" Glynda looked at Jaune before answering. "All register individuals for the entrance exam are to head to the auditorium. The auditorium is just straight ahead. Once there, you'll be given instruction on what you'll need to do".

"Thank you very much!" Jaune said with a smile. "I'll leave now. I wouldn't want to miss the instructions for the exam".

Jaune headed to the Auditorium, and when he got there, there were barely any people. Looking around, Jaune was able to spot a duo, one energetic and the other looking lethargic. The moment Jaune's eyes met the energetic person, she zoomed to him.

"Hello~!" Nora greeted. "Name's Nora Valkyrie! Are you here for the exam as well?".

"Yeah, since I live in a place without a combat school, taking this test is the only way I can get into the initiation," Jaune said. "How about you?".

"Ren and I are orphans," Nora said. "We've been going around Remnant all our lives. Our dream is to be a Huntsman and Huntress so that the thing that happened to us won't happen to someone else".

"I see," Jaune said. Then he smiled. "Well, good luck. I hope you do well".

"Thanks!" Nora said. "Hey, do you want to meet Ren? I bet he would like you".

"That'll be great," Jaune said. "It's been a long time since I interacted with people my age that isn't family".

"Same! It's been only Ren and me for a long time now," Nora said. "It's good to have new friends".

Nora then brought Jaune over to Ren. The trio got along fine. According to Nora, Ren is like a sloth. He won't do anything unless necessary, and he loves sleeping, but Ren is the responsible one between the two. Jaune was enjoying their interaction. However, it was interrupted due to one of the professors giving the instruction for the exam.

Jaune was dumbfounded. The exam was easier than he thought. The start of the exam was a strength test. This was easy for Jaune. He passed with flying colours. Ren and Nora did too, but Ren was barely able to pass.

The next test was the endurance test. This was easy for Jaune. After all, he was a person that has endured being blown to bits and many other horrible things. Once more, Nora was amazing, but Ren barely passed. The third test was the stamina test. Another easy one for Jaune and Nora, but Ren nearly failed. Thankfully, he was able to hold on and finish the test.

The last test was a combat test. Everyone was brought to a training arena. From there, one by one, everyone had to fight against one of Beacon's professors, and if they performed well, then they would be allowed to join Beacon's initiation. It took an hour before it was finally Jaune's turn.

The man Jaune was facing was a burly old man named Peter Port. The man had a blunderbuss that had an axe at the stock. Jaune observed the man before making any move. After completing his observation, Jaune figured that Port was relatively slow. So, he dashed toward the man, drew Arifar and used Mother's Rosario. Jaune thrust Arifar 11-times. Port didn't even know that his Aura was shattered.

Everyone around had their jaws dropped to the ground. None could even see Jaune move. All they could see was a blur. And the next second, the screen showed that Port's Aura was gone. Glynda and Ozpin, who were supervising the test, were also shocked. Though, Glynda and Ozpin's shock were different. Glynda was surprised since she couldn't see Jaune move, but Ozpin was shocked due to what Jaune did.

Ozpin knew Jaune controlled the wind around him without wind Dust. That should be impossible. Jaune wasn't aware of any of these, but someone close to Jaune knew of it. Scáthach felt Ozpin observed Jaune more than other students, so she observed him back.

Jaune summoned Scáthach when he turned sixteen. The day that Jaune and Scáthach met was when Domrémy had multiple quakes. Why? Because Jaune and Scáthach fought. The power from their attack would cause intense wind pressures and explosions.

Scáthach that day felt wonderful. She has never had to fight as hard as she did with Jaune all her immortal life. The man pushed her to fight harder. Fighting was something that Scáthach no longer felt anything for. But fighting Jaune made her smile.

The fight lasted for so long, but in the end, Jaune was defeated. The difference between their experience was massive. Scáthach has been to countless battlefields and has honed her skills for a long time, while Jaune has only experienced fighting Grimm.

Every day since then, Jaune would fight against Scáthach. Over time, Jaune was getting better and better. Although the gap between Jaune and Scáthach has been closing in, Jaune is still quite far away from her level. Nonetheless, Jaune and Scáthach enjoyed each other's company. Scáthach herself hasn't realised that she stopped thinking about death and immortality.

At the end of the test, Jaune was given the time and date for the initiation. He was accepted to Beacon. But like everyone, he would need to pass the initiation as well. Jaune then proceeded to head to the hotel he was staying at.

"You did quite well in that fight," Scáthach said. She then hugged Jaune teasingly. "I did promise that if you did well, I would give you a reward".

"Pfft! Please. You knew for a fact that there was no way that I wouldn't do well," Jaune said. "You were the one that told me that people of Remnant are far weaker than any Heroic Spirit. And since I was capable of fighting against you nearly equally, I was far above them in terms of strength. Though that may be, I still don't like underestimating my opponent. That's why I gave Port no way of retaliating".

"Hmm…That's good," Scáthach said with a nod. "Even the strongest person can be defeated by someone weaker if they get arrogant and underestimate their enemy".

"Now then, for your reward," Scáthach continued. "I did say that I would give you a kiss if you did well in this test".

"No, I won't accept it," Jaune said. "Do you remember what I told you that day? The day I realised that I fell in love with you at first sight. You told me that you won't accept someone weaker than you. So, I won't accept a kiss as a reward. I want to prove myself to you. I will accept the kiss the day I finally beat you".

"I see that you were really serious that day," Scáthach said with understanding. "You don't want just a kiss, but you want all of me. Alright then, I'll wait for the day you beat me and make me yours. Though, don't make me wait for too long".
