Edward had entered the chamber where Aro, Caius, and Marko were seated. The three vampire kings were surprised to see the young mind reader in their midst, but Aro was delighted. Perhaps Edward had finally decided to join them after all.
"Ah, Edward, what a pleasure it is to see you here," Aro said sweetly. "What can we do for you?"
"I have come to ask to join your guard and to report a crime."
Aro leaned forward, interested in what Edward was going to tell him, "The Cullens have created an immortal child."
Aro was surprised at this news and looked at his brothers. He offered his hand to Edward, who gladly took it. Closing his eyes, Aro watched everything that happened between Edward and Bella up until the birth of the child, but what also caught his attention was the brunet that was able to put a barrier to keep Edward away from Bella, 'She may be a stronger asset than Edward,' Aro thought.
Edward smiled viciously, having heard Aro's thought, "I think that Kagome's powers would be a bonus if you can turn Emmett or maybe kill him."
Aro nodded, "I'll have to give it some thought. This girl seems to be the self-sacrificing type. I'm sure she will accept our offer to keep her family safe."
"Good, then maybe I can get my blood singer back," Edward told the kings.
"Ah, yes, I saw that she wasn't your true mate, Edward. I'm sure we can spare young Isabella for you, but her abomination must be destroyed."
Edward nodded, "I have no problem with that. I never wanted the thing in the first place."
"Good, then we will make arrangements to head to Forks shortly. But first…"
Aro snapped his fingers, and a young woman was brought in and handed to Edward, who didn't hesitate to feed and drain her. Edward's eyes instantly turned red, and Aro walked down and placed a cloak around his shoulders, "Welcome to the Volturi Guard, my young friend."
