Master Roshi was about to say goodbye to Goku and his friends after helping put out the fire at Fire Mountain and recieving his 'reward' from 'Bulma' who unknown to him was really Oolong in diguise until he got an idea remembering the legend of the Dragon Balls that they can grant any wish he looks at Bulma with a lustful gaze as a perverted grin appeared on his face "any wish I want huh?" The perverted old man said to himself as he thought of a great wish to make with the Dragon Balls so he walks over to Goku and the others as they were saying farewell to Chi-chi and the Ox-King "Goku my boy I thought about it how about I go with you and help train you while your on your adventure besides that I actually wouldn't mind seeing this mighty Dragon for myself I been around for a long time now and never once have I gotten the chance to see it this would make an old man happy plus I can show you other techniques as well aside form the Kamehameha that could prove useful as well." The Turtle Hermit explained to Goku which Goku got excited at the idea of training with the man who taught his Grandpa "Oh Boy! That would be amazing Bulma can Master Roshi please come with us he did help put out the fire at fire mountain plus it would be nice to hear more stories from him about my Grandpa from when he was being taught by him?" Goku asks Bulma begging to let Master Roshi tag along with them to which Bulma didn't like the idea one bit knowing the pervert he would just be using it as an excuse to try and do something perverted but then again seeing how he put out the fire and if he can train Goku to be stronger then it would make things a bit safer for them in searching for the Dragon Balls as she debates this in her head she sighs at Goku's constant pestering to wanting to take him along "ARGH! Alright fine but he better not try anything perverted." She said annoyed by this as Roshi grins "oh don't worry Bulma I 'promise' to be on my best behavior." He said slyly before hopping into the vehicle with them as they drive off leaving Fire Mountain.
As they drive to a nearby town Master Roshi tells Goku stories about how he taught his Grandpa Gohan and Ox-King back in the day explaining how great of a friend and student Gohan was and how he can see that same kind of greatness in Goku as well making Goku really happy to hear Master Roshi say such kind words and that he was able to remind him a bit about his Grandpa to which Roshi then laughs telling Goku about how Gohan and Ox-King were always like brothers to each other keeping each other strong and always looking out for one another which Goku was more then happy to hear. After they arrive into town they noticed a lot of the towns folk looking at Bulma funny because of her outfit which she decides to stop by a shop and get a new outfit much to Roshi and Oolong's displeasure as they rather enjoyed seeing Bulma in the Bunny Girl outfit but know it was no use trying to talk her out of it as she goes into the clothing store to buy new clothes Roshi notices something off and looks to Goku "Goku be on your guard something doesn't feel right about this town I can feel it." He tells the young boy who looks confused but nods not going to question his Master as he keeps an eye out looking around with Master Roshi before seeing Bulma leave the shop before being attacked by three men or rather two men and a rabbit to which the town people freak out seeing Monster Carrot and his men as Monster Carrot sees Bulma and tries to make her join him or else be turned into a carrot and just as he is about to turn her into a Goku and Master Roshi rush in taking out Monster Carrot's men with ease before Roshi then swiftly rushes at Monster Carrot knocking the rabbit out cold with a swift punch saving Bulma in the process to which she sighs in relief as the towns people cheer Roshi and Goku on for defeating Monster Carrot Yamcha was watching from afar in shock and amazement seeing Master Roshi in action along with Goku really took him by surprise before seeing the group getting ready to leave he quickly follows after them wanting to still steal the wish for himself to get rid of his fear of being around pretty women.
