A week remains before the start of the Vytal Tournament. Jaune forged two dozen protective charms for his friends and family. While forging, Jaune realised something, he could forge a metallic cube with defensive magic. Then he could use (Flames of Transmogrification – Mythical) to design it, as it wouldn't lose its previous abilities. This made Jaune's life easier.
Currently, Jaune was going around Vale with a realtor. He didn't want his family staying at a hotel. So, he was looking for a house big enough to accommodate his family. Price-wise, Jaune didn't care if he had to use all his money. He cares about the location, design of the house, and comfortability.
Jaune was looking for a ten-bedroom house with three bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, lounge area, pool, a backyard useable for gardening, etc.
"Sir? How about this house?" Realtor said. "It's in a safe location. It has all the requirements you need".
"Not bad," Jaune said. "Is it available right away?".
"It is," Realtor said. "This was one of the most expensive properties we have, so no one bought it. The price of the property is 210,000,000 Lien".
"I'll take it," Jaune said. "Do you have a service that would furnish the house?".
"We do," Realtor said. "If you want the house to be fully furnished, it will take two days to complete".
"That's fine," Jaune said. "As long as it can be done within this week".
"Understood," Realtor said. "Please follow me to complete the paperwork".
After dealing with the house hunting, Jaune returned to Beacon.
When he arrived at Beacon, Jaune saw Ruby and Nora arguing whether cookies were better than pancakes. While the argument was going on, Jaune saw that Yang and Ren had black eyes. From the looks of it, Jaune knew they tried to intervene with the argument, and they failed.
"Failed to stop them?" Jaune asked. Ren and Yang nodded. "Sheesh, they're really into their cookies and pancake cult".
A week later, Jaune and co were in the bullhead port to pick up his family. The moment they saw Jaune, they all rushed towards him. Even Adrian, who saw Jaune, wanted to go to him, but he was in his mother's arms.
"Jaune! I missed you so much!" Olivia said. "When dad said that we were heading here to Vale, I packed my stuff as soon as possible".
"Yeah! She even passed out when she found out," Annie said. "She freaked us all out".
"He-he-he! That was my bad," Olivia said. "It's been a while since Jaune came home".
"By the way, Jaune," Rose said. "Are you going to introduce us to your friends?".
"Yeah, the last time you came home," Marie said. "You didn't talk much about them".
"Right, sorry about that," Jaune said. "Guys, this is my family. Noah is my father, and Joan is my mother. Now, for my sisters. From oldest to youngest. Saphron, Jayden, Jeanne, Marie, Rose, Olivia and Annie. And lastly, this is Terra and Adrian, she is Saphron's wife, and the little guy is their son".
Jaune then introduced his teammates and friends to his family. He then brought his family to a mansion in Vale. They were looking at Jaune. They didn't know why he brought them there.
"This is a house that I bought," Jaune said. "This is the place that you guys can stay in. If you want, you can even start living here".
"Jaune? Where did you get the money to buy a house like this?" Joan asked. "This would cost at least a few million Lien".
"A few million? No, this place is worth more than that," Weiss said. "With the size of the property and its location. It would be an easy hundred plus million Lien".
"Jaune?" Joan asked. "Where the hell did you get that kind of money?!".
"My store back in Domrémy," Jaune said. "I've sold thousands of weapons. As you know, some of the weapons in my store can be sold up to 100,000 Lien. And if they want a custom weapon, it would be even more depending on the type of material used".
"Whoa! Hold up!" Ruby said. "You have a store that sells awesome weapons that are prized that high? I mean, I've seen your sword and the Dominator, and they're something that can't be found anywhere on Remnant. But you sell a weapon that cost 100,000 Lien and up! I didn't even think a weapon could cost that much!".
"It's not unheard of," Weiss said. "I mean, my Myrtenaster is worth a 1,000,000 Lien".
"Pfft! I'm not trying to diss your weapon, but you got ripped off," Jaune said. "I can make a weapon far surpassing your Myrtenaster for less than a 1,000,000 Lien. With the quality of your Myrtenaster, at most, I would charge a custom price of 250,000 Lien as it would be custom made".
"Your Myrtenaster is a 1,000,000 Lien?" Ruby asked. "Sheesh, I understand why Jaune's weapon would cost so much, but not yours".
"You can't be serious, right?" Weiss asked. RBY and NPR looked away from Weiss as their weapon is only a fraction of Myrtenaster's price, and the quality is similar. "Oum! I got ripped off! I'm so going to kill that bastard who sold me Myrtenaster!".
"Well, it's not that bad," Jaune said. "Well, it's not worth 1,000,000 Lien. However, it was able to bring you this far. Plus, with the element stones now a replacement for Dust, it's better than before. However, it doesn't look nice because the cylinder looks empty".
"I-I…Can I commission a weapon from you?" Weiss asked. "You did say you do custom orders".
"Sure, but let's talk about that another time," Jaune said. "For now, let's head inside the house and let my family get situated".
For an hour, Jaune helped his family with a house tour, unpacking and making food. At the moment, the older Arc sisters pulled Haruhime to one of their rooms and spoke to her.
"So," Jeanne asked. "Did you make progress with our brother?".
"I couldn't," Haruhime said. "The person that Jaune is interested in is also interested in him. Though, I got a confirmation from her that I'm allowed to go after Jaune, but she would be his first".
"Say what now?" Saphron said. "Are you saying that a girl out there that would allow Jaune to date, multiple people?".
"Y-Yes," Haruhime said. "She's actually here with Jaune. Though, you can't see her since she's in Jaune's shadow".
"I'm confused," Jayden said. "If Jaune is interested in said person, and said person is interested in Jaune. Why haven't they started dating? Or have they?".
"No, they haven't," Haruhime said. "From what I understand. She has a deal with Jaune. They would only get together if Jaune is strong enough to beat her in a fight".
"Whoa! That's kind of weird," Saphron said. "Why are they doing that?".
"That's because the person that Jaune is interested in can be called a normal person," Haruhime said. "Jaune wants to prove that he is worthy of being with her. And defeating her is the proof".
"By the way," Jayden said. "What does the person that Jaune is interested in look like? Is she stunning?".
"Stunning is an understatement," Haruhime said. She then described Scáthach to the Arc sisters in the room. "Ethereal beauty is more the words I'll use".
"Okay-Okay! Enough about her," Jeanne said. "Jaune's partner, Pyrrha Nikos, is it? Is that girl also interested in Jaune?".
"I believe so," Haruhime said. "However, Jaune being Jaune, he isn't aware".
"Oum, damn it!" Saphron said with a facepalm. "Jaune's been dense since he was young. When he was fifteen, there were a lot of girls back home that was interested in him, but he didn't know".
The girls continued talking about Jaune. Said person was in the pool swimming with his younger sisters sneezed.
"What the hell?" Jaune said. "It's not even cold, there's no dust in the air, and I have no allergies. Why did I sneeze?".
[There is a superstition from the place I was created. They say that when a person sneezes for no reason, someone is probably talking about you or missing you. But since your family is here, DanMachi is in stasis, and Earth-19999 only has the Ancient One as a connection then the logical conclusion is someone talking about you]
"Whoa! Hold on!" Jaune said. "How come you didn't mention that Earth-19999 is in stasis?".
[Because it isn't. When you made a promise to the Ancient One about helping with a future problem, the universe could not be put into stasis since time needs to flow for you to fulfil your promise]
Jaune didn't know that. But it didn't bother him. After all, he was the one that made the promise in exchange for a lesson in the Mystic Arts. Mind you, a lesson that benefitted him a lot.
