Disclaimer: I don't own the computer I'm typing this on, let alone Naruto.
Bam!
Another hit. Another kick. More blood sprayed that you know, no matter how much you wash, won't ever come out of your clothes. You know that you should stop, save what little energy you have left from that horrible confrontation, the confrontation that no matter how bad, you simply can't get out of your mind. She's there, taunting you, assaulting you with terrible words that you try to block out, but can't, because they're all so damn true.
Slam! Crack!
What's the matter? Can't take it? Can't take the fact that they left you behind again? That no matter how hard you try, no matter how close you seem to attaining your goal of actually catching up, you never will? All because of the fact that their bond, forged in pain and sorrow, is stronger than yours. We both know that you'll always be different from them, simply by being normal.
Wham!
You lie there, panting, gasping for breath beneath the tree that you battered, but just can't seem to knock down, and you wonder how it turned out like this. There was once a time when things weren't this screwed up, when everything was one perfect reality. Where Naruto and Sasuke would fight constantly to better themselves, and would sacrifice anything to save each other, to save you. But now that reality is dead, killed by the horrible need for revenge, the need for him to prove himself, that fucked up need that doomed your perfect reality from the very start.
Chuckle.
Hysteria. You laugh at the fact that you were different from them by having a family, and that now that they're gone, you're the one left all alone. Somehow, the fact that you were the only person in the group that didn't have a pain filled past almost automatically gained you a pain-filled future.
Sob.
You break down, because even the madness invading your mind can't last forever. As you lay there sobbing at the loss of your second family, and the loss of the family that they could've had with you, she decides to make herself heard yet again. Don't worry, she says, her voice like acid, you'll always have me.
Now and forever.
AN: This is my first story (with a few minor changes) and my first attempt at angst ever so I would greatly appreciate it if you click on that little purple button that says review.
