Jaune was in his forge thinking of new safety equipment for the miners. For the most part, Jaune was able to make new Hi-Viz overalls of the miners. This Hi-Viz is not as simple as it looks. It can protect its wearer from an explosion with nothing more than a few scratches or a headache due to impact. But Jaune wasn't satisfied with this and tried to improve upon it.
For hours, Jaune was in his forge making new Hi-Viz safety suits. You may be wondering who is running the company if he's in the forge? You think it's Willow, but it's not. In fact, it's not even a person. The one running the company is the Female Replacement Intelligent Digital Assistant Youth or F.R.I.D.A.Y.
Jaune got this Natural User Interface from the Bleeding Edge Suit that he gave to the Iron Destroyer. Since the Iron Destroyer doesn't need the system, Jaune extracted it and kept it with him in case he needed it, just like now.
Friday does most of the day to day things in the S.D.C. and Arc Industries, and if there is an important matter, it's sent to Willow. And if Willow isn't enough to authorise a file or contract, it goes to Jaune. This way, Jaune and Willow's workload isn't too heavy that they would be using all their time for work and neglecting their children. Willow was even making amends with her children.
"Hmm…? What's missing with the safety suits?" Jaune asked himself. "It's already fire-proof, heat-proof, cold-proof and explosion-proof. What else would it need? …Hmm?".
Jaune continued working on his task when suddenly, a few figures appeared out of nowhere. Looking at these people, Jaune recognised them. It was Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, him…or a counterpart of him and the ice cream theme girl he once popped like a balloon.
The people that arrived in his forge unannounced were passed out. Jaune didn't want to leave them be on the ground as it was uncomfortable. So, he brought them to an unused room with comfortable beds, except for the ice cream girl, as he tied her up and placed her in a corner. Jaune could care less about her.
"Alice, these people," Jaune said. "They're from a different version of Remnant, aren't they?".
[They are. A Remnant that seems to be heading to a dark and grim future. Look at Yang, she lost an arm]
"We can ask them a question once they wake up," Jaune said. He then looked at Neo. "As for that ice cream girl, I don't want to leave her with them. If I remember correctly, she's a criminal working with Torchwick. Keeping her in the same room would cause issues".
Jaune then took Neo, brought her to a different room, and cast a spell to prevent her from escaping. Jaune then tapped his wrist, which had a wristband. This wristband has Friday installed on it.
"Friday, I need you to free up my schedule today," Jaune said. "It seems that there are more pressing matters that I'll be attending".
"Understood," Friday said. "Should I also cancel your lunch with Willow?".
"No, don't do that," Jaune said. "Inform her that I'll bring her here in the Arc family house, and I'll make lunch for us".
"I'll give her the message," Friday said. "I.S. there anything else you require me to do?".
"Nothing for now," Jaune said. "Thank you for the help Friday".
While waiting for the R.W.B.Y.J. the second to wake up, Jaune was made lunch for him and Willow, who he would be meeting in an hour. For lunch, Jaune made Quail with Rose-petal Sauce and Cucumber Relish for Willow and for himself, Jaune made Macadamia Crusted Lamb with Chilli and Macadamia Sambal.
Jaune, of course, informed his family of what happened. Noah and Joan were watching the criminal known as ice cream girl, while Jayden and Jeanne were watching after R.W.B.Y.J. the second.
Once Willow arrived, Jaune and Willow ate in the dining room while talking about what had happened since morning. Saphron, who was planning to have lunch with Terra, saw Jaune and Willow talking and laughing with each other. The two looked like a couple, so she thought Willow might have been a new addition to Jaune's harem. Saphron left the two alone.
"Jaune, with your design of multiple tools and appliances not using any Dust," Willow said. "It wouldn't take long before they can be manufactured and replace the old Dust powered versions. Your new Arc Reactor factory to power the cities will be built in a few months".
"It seems that progress is faster than anticipated," Jaune said. "That's thanks to you working hard to get all the project started".
"It's also thanks to Friday," Willow said. "She can lessen my workload and concentrate more on the important task".
In the room where R.W.B.Y.J. the second were, Weiss-II woke up and was looking through her surroundings. She tried to stand up, but Jayden pushed her back down as she was still recovering. Weiss-II nearly screamed since she didn't know who Jayden was.
"Do not scream," Jayden said. "Your friends are still resting. You shouldn't disturb them".
"W-Who are you? And where is this?" Weiss-II asked with fear as she didn't have the strength to fight back. "What are you planning to do?".
"My name is Jayden Arc, and I'm not going to harm you," Jayden said. "As for where you are, this is the Arc family house in Vale. But you would be surprised when you realise something later".
"What do you mean? And also, this is Jaune's family house?" Weiss-II questioned. "I thought Jaune lived outside of Vale?".
"Like I said, you would be surprised if you find out your real situation," Jayden said. "But for now, rest. Recover as much energy as you can".
Weiss-II didn't know why she felt relaxed around Jayden, but she lied back down on the bed and went to sleep. This was Jayden's semblance. It causes people to relax around them to have a calm and collected discussion.
A few hours later, R.W.B.Y.J. the second, all woke up, and they didn't know where they were. Weiss told them that a woman called Jayden explained that they were in the Arc family house in Vale. Everyone looked at Jaune and saw his confused face.
"I…I…My family doesn't have a house in Vale," Jaune-II said. He then pointed at the room. "Especially not something of this calibre. This looks like rich people's house. My family doesn't have the money to make such a purchase since there are ten of us".
"Uhm…Weiss?" Yang-II said. "Are you sure this person said you were in the Arc family house in Vale?".
"I pretty sure she said this was the Arc household in Vale," Weiss-II said. "She even said that her name is Jayden Arc".
"Hmm…My second eldest sister's name is Jayden," Jaune-II said. He was confused. "Maybe my family bought a house in Vale? But that can't be. This kind of luxury house is definitely out of my parent's price range".
"They might have gotten hold of some money, and they bought a house," Blake-II said. "Or maybe due to the attack of the White-Fang and the fall of Beacon, housing in Vale became cheaper".
"The second one makes more sense," Jaune-II said. "I just don't see any way for my family to get hold of money".
"Guys! Why don't we leave this room and find someone we can talk to!" Ruby-II said. "Also, if we arrived here, then there is a chance Neo is here as well. We need to warn Jaune's family about a criminal on the loose in their house!".
"Oh, shoot! Your right, sis!" Yang-II said. "Neo is one of the most slippery criminals".
"Oh, that's her name, Neo," Jaune said. Everyone in the room then looked in his direction. Then everyone looked at Jaune-II and then him again. "Why do you guys keep looking at him and me repeatedly?".
"Oh my gosh!" Ruby-II said. She then turned to Jaune-II. "You should have never cut your hair. You looked better with your mope of blonde hair!".
"Really! Ruby? Really?!" Jaune-II said. "There's a second me in front of everyone, and that's what you focus on!".
"But you look good with your old hairstyle," Ruby-II said. "Look at your look-alike! He looks so good! Compared to your current hairstyle, you look, blah!".
"Oh, come on!" Jaune said. He felt offended. "I don't look that bad!".
"Ruby? Jaune? I think we shouldn't get off topic here," Yang-II said. "There is literally a second Jaune in front of everyone. Can we please concentrate on that?".
"Sorry, it's just good to see the old hairstyle of Jaune," Ruby-II said. She then looked at Jaune-II. "Which, in my opinion, is better!".
"Are you all done bickering?" Jaune said. Ruby-II and the others nodded. "Then come on, I made you guys something to eat. You don't have to worry about the ice cream girl, Neo. I tied her up and locked her in another room that she wouldn't be able to escape".
R.W.B.Y.J. the second ate the food Jaune cooked as if they hadn't eaten in a long time. Ruby-II then explained that she and the rest didn't have time to sit and eat since there was danger looming every inch of Atlas from where they came from. They then explained to Jaune everything that had happened so far from their world.
