On a cargo ship, a bomb starts to count down thirty seconds. This was the ship with Qrow, Elm, Harriet and Vine.
"The autopilot's locked!" Qrow shouted. "We gotta go!".
"There's no time to make it out of the blast range," Harriet said as she fell to her knees. "I've… killed us all… I'm sorry…".
Vine uses his Semblance to reach the ship and then uses it again to place Harriet in Elm's arms. Vine looks at the bomb and ponders.
"No!" Elm shouted. "You can't!".
"I can…" Vine said with sadness in his eyes. "If it means saving all my friends".
Harriet realises what Vine is about to do.
"No!" Harriet shouted. "You can't do that. Vine, you'll die".
Harriet tries to reach out for Vine as Elm takes her inside Robyn's ship. Qrow and Vine solemnly acknowledge each other before Qrow jumps out from the ship and transforms into his corvid form to fly away.
Vine uses his Semblance, creating a barrier around the ship as the bomb counts down. Before the timer went off, Jaune appeared in a portal, and he sent the bomb to his Inventory.
Within the ship of Robyn, Harriet and everyone were saddened at the site of Vine sacrificing himself, but after a few moments, they realised that the cargo ship that contained the bomb hadn't exploded. At this point, a portal suddenly opened behind everyone, and out came Vine and Jaune.
"Geez, dude, your one crazy person," Jaune said. "I like you. To save the people you care about, you were willing to do what needed to be done even if that means you dying".
"What the?!" Qrow said. "Kid! I thought you'd be with Ruby and the others? Are they okay?".
"They're fine," Jaune said. "They should arrive in Vacuo in a few minutes, which is where we're heading. We just need to wait for a few minutes".
Jaune has never been to Vacuo. That's why when he arrived in this Remnant's Atlas, he scowled a bit, but after what Alice told him about Vine, Jaune decided to save the man's life as he was a cool guy.
But before Jaune went to save Vine, he sent the Iron Destroyer to Vacuo with a device on its wrist that could open an Eldritch Portal on his location. With the Iron Destroyer's flight speed of Mach 9, it shouldn't take long for it to arrive in Vacuo.
"How exactly are we going to do that?" Robyn asked. "This ship doesn't have the necessary fuel to reach Vacuo, and even if it did, it would take days to reach there".
"Not to worry," Jaune said. "I sent something with the speed of Mach 9 to Vacuo. It should be able to open a portal for us".
"Kid, you seem different," Qrow said. "You seem to be more confident in yourself and more something…".
"That's because I'm not the Jaune, you know," Jaune said. "That guy would be in Vacuo any moment now".
"You're not making sense. I thank you for saving Vine's life," Harriet said. "But what do you mean you're not the Jaune we know? Who else would you be?".
"I am Jaune Arc. That's a fact," Jaune said. "But I'm Jaune Arc from a different Remnant".
"Ha-ha-ha! Now you're just messing with us, right," Marrow said. "No way is that true".
"Really, you all know of the Maiden's existence which is magic," Jaune said. "But me being from a different version of your world is where you draw the line? That's stupid".
In Vacuo, Nora desperately bangs on the portal, unable to go back through due to it being one way. Atlas and Mantle civilians scream as they are attacked by Ravagers. Emerald, Oscar, and Ren do their best to fight them off.
The horde of Grimm approaches them, but they get blown away. The trio and the civilians notice Winter-II using her newly-christened Maiden powers to levitate in the air. She notices her mother Willow-II, her brother Whitley-II, and Klein in the crowd, and tears stream from her eyes.
The roar of Grimm gets Winter-II's attention. She notices the horde of Ravagers and Sulfur Fish approaching. Winter-II screams out and prepares to take them all on, but it is here that a bright light appears, and Weiss and the others engage the Grimm with her. In no time, the Grimm horde was taken care of.
Due to the low visibility thanks to the sandstorm, Winter-II did not notice the other people with Weiss.
"Weiss," Winter called. "You're okay…I thought you'd be gone forever".
"Whoa! Hold on there," Weiss said as she pushed Winter-II away. "Ahem! I'm not your sister…she is".
Weiss then pointed at Weiss-II. Willow, Winter, Whitley and Klein looked at where Weiss was pointing, and sure enough, there was another Weiss there.
"W-What's going on?" Winter said. The usual stoic Winter stuttered. "W-Why are there two of our family?! What's going on?!".
"Ahem! Allow me to explain, sister," Weiss-II said. "The people that look like us are from a different Remnant".
Weiss-II explained everything to everyone, and Nora headed towards Pyrrha and spoke to her.
"I know that you're not our Pyrrha after what Weiss explained," Nora said. "But I just wanted to tell you that it's good to see you".
"I miss you too, Nora," Pyrrha said as she smiled. "I'm not a Pyrrha from another Remnant. I'm the Pyrrha from this world".
"I know you're doing this to comfort me, but you don't have to," Nora said. "I've made peace with Pyrrha's death when we were in Argus".
"Uhm…" Jaune-II said. He was wearing the armour that Jaune gave him. "Nora, that's our Pyrrha".
"I know she's the Pyrrha from your world," Nora said. "That's why I said that I knew she isn't the Pyrrha from this world".
"No, Nora," Jaune-II said. "She is the Pyrrha of this world. Our Pyrrha".
"Eh!" Nora said. "Are you saying that you're the Jaune from this world? Pfft! Come on! I love Jaune as a brother, but you look stronger and more rugged than he is".
"Oh, come on!" Jaune-II said. "I'm the Jaune in this world. Or do you want proof of me being this world's Jaune? I can by telling your dirty secrets, Nora".
"Okay! You're our Jaune!" Nora said. "No need for proof! Let's move on!".
"Huh?" Pyrrha said. "Am I missing something?".
"Nope! Let's move on!" Nora said. She then saw Willow and the others. Nora used this as a distraction. "So, another Weiss, huh? That's pretty cool".
"And incredibly strong," Weiss-II said. "She is beyond what I'm capable of. I still shivered at the thought of the time we sparred with each other. I couldn't even follow her movement".
Willow was facing Willow-II. She was looking at her like a hawk. The same thing was happening to Winter and Whitley.
"Hmm…Weiss-II was right. You are looking better," Willow said. "But you still haven't completely changed for the better".
"What do you mean?" Willow-II asked. She then notices that her counterpart looks so young. "And how do you look so young?".
"Well, I'm no longer together with Jacques in my world," Willow said. "It's been a while since the man died after being arrested. Since then, my life has changed for the better. I met Weiss' friend, Jaune, and we hit it off. We've been together for half a year now. And I'm very happy. He even helped me get along with my family".
"Jaune? The blonde man with the knight motif?" Willow-II asked. "Isn't he like 19-years-old or something. A bit too young for you, isn't he?".
"Ha-ha-ha! You'd think so, but no," Willow said. "Due to circumstances, he is only a few years younger than I am. He is the reason I look younger as well".
With Whitley, he was looking at his counterpart with his scrawny former body from half a year ago. Whitley saw what Jaune told him. He did look like a walking stick.
"I did use to look like a walking stick!" Whitley said. "Jaune was right".
"I beg your pardon!" Whitley-II said. "At least I don't look barbaric!".
"Oh, please!" Whitley said. "I'm you. I know that you're interested in comics and heroes too".
"I-I don't know what you're talking about," Whitley-II said. "I'm a Schnee. I have no such childish interest".
"Sure, you don't," Whitley said. "You know, you'd feel better if you just be yourself. I did".
"I…I-I know that to be true," Whitley-II said. "But what would the people of Atlas think? We can't let them see such weakness from our family".
"Are you serious?" Whitley asked. "Atlas has fallen. What does it matter what does snobby people think? Because now, they are just like every common folk. No more status, no more money".
"That's true. I guess I could be myself. Now," Whitley-II said. He then ran to look at Whitley's weapon as he hadn't seen a weapon like it before, even if it looked like a mechashift. He saw earlier that the weapon caught fire and saw no Dust anywhere. "Where did you get this weapon? I've never seen anything like it. Not even in Atlas".
"This is called a Switch Axe," Whitley said. "This particular one was designed by Jaune".
"Are you talking about that blonde man over there?" Whitley-II said as he pointed at Jaune-II. "He didn't seem like the type of person that knows anything about weapons".
"I'm not talking about him," Whitley said. "I'm talking about the Jaune from my world. He's very different from the Jaune of this world".
While Whitley and Whitley-II were conversing, Winter was speaking with her counterpart.
"I see that you got the destiny that Ironwood placed on you," Winter said. "I'm not surprised".
"No! This has nothing to do with the destiny that Ironwood wanted me to have!" Winter-II said with anger. "This was a gift!".
"Hmm…I see," Winter said. "It was given to you, not because of Ironwood but because the former holder of the power wanted you to have it".
"That's right," Winter-II said with a sad expression. "Penny chose to give it to me in her death".
While everyone talked to one another and reunited, more Grimm arrived at their location due to the people's negative emotions. Every able people that knew how to fight were ready to fight back against the incoming horde when the Iron Destroyer arrived and fired missiles to eliminate the Grimm.
Scáthach then decided to create a bounded field to protect everyone.
"M-Magic!' Oscar said. "She can use magic and a much more powerful than the Maidens! How is that possible?".
"It could be possible that this is the power that the people in the other Remnant have," Ozpin said from Oscar's mind. "If it is, it's quite fascinating".
"I don't think so," Oscar said. "I saw other Weiss Aura flare earlier. So, it could be something else".
"What are you talking about with Ozpin, Oscar," Nora asked. "He isn't scheming something, is he?".
"No! He isn't," Oscar said. "I was curious about the woman with purple hair. She used magic, but it was nothing like the power of the Maidens. Ozpin theorised that it was the power of the people from the other Remnant".
"It isn't," Weiss said. "That's not a power that anybody in our world can use except for her and Jaune. But you can never use common sense with Jaune".
"Are you saying that Jaune from your word can use magic?" Ozpin said as he took over Oscar. Weiss nodded at her. "That's fascinating. After the annihilation of the first humans, there wasn't anyone else that could use magic in Remnant. The Maidens got their power only when I split my magic and gave it to them".
The Iron Destroyer then landed on the ground after killing all the Grimm, and he used the device that Jaune put on its wrist and opened a portal to him.
Back in Atlas, Jaune relaxed in his seat while everyone was on guard. He didn't care if everyone was on guard against him since he was an anomaly. Jaune understood. Nonetheless, Jaune didn't let things stress him out. Instead, he sat in a relaxing manner.
Not long later, the portal he was waiting for appeared, and he told Robyn to enter it, and they would be where everyone else was, Vacuo.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Jaune said. "Enter the portal, and you'd be in Vacuo".
"I don't know if I should trust you," Robyn said. "You literally told us that you're not from this world. How would you know where everyone was?".
"I already told you," Jaune said. "You people, this world's R.W.B.Y.J., arrived in my version of Remnant, and I came with them to help you guys. Besides, if I wanted to hurt you, there is nothing you could do about it".
"Like hell, we can't!" Harriet said as she zoomed towards Jaune, but he disappeared instantly. "W-What?! You can teleport!".
"I can, but I didn't teleport," Jaune said. "I merely moved faster than your eye can see. Like I said, if I wanted to hurt you guys, there is nothing you can do".
"Stay!" Marrow said as he used his Semblance on Jaune. "Ha! Not so tough now".
But Jaune laughed as he stopped pretending to stop moving. Marrow's Semblance is impressive, but it's not strong enough to freeze Jaune.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha! You should have seen your face when you thought you actually stopped me," Jaune said. "But what's even funnier was when you saw me laugh".
"Stay! Stay! Stay!" Marrow tried using his semblance multiples, but it was not doing anything to Jaune. "Why isn't it working!".
"That's very simple," Jaune said. "You're not strong enough to freeze my movements. Now, enough with this stupidity, just enter the portal, or I can take control of this ship and make it move to the portal myself".
"Over my dead body!" Robyn said. She wasn't going to relinquish control to Jaune. "You're strong, but I can put up a fight".
"Okay, that means nothing to me," Jaune said. He then stamped his, and a golden glow spread around the ship. Jaune used Knight of Owner to take control of the bullhead. "I can just do this to take control".
"What the?!" Qrow said. "How are you doing that?!".
"I did tell you to head to the portal, or I would take control of this ship," Jaune said. "Now, let's head to the portal".
Jaune controlled the ship to head towards the portal that the Iron Destroyer made, and in an instant, they were in Vacuo, just like he said. Once he landed the ship, Qrow and the others saw everyone.
"Uncle Qrow!" Ruby-II said. "You're okay!".
"Squirt, you're okay," Qrow said as he sighed a breath of relief. But then he looked to Ruby-II's left, and he saw someone that should have been long dead. "Summer! How…You're...Summer from another Remnant".
"No, Qrow," Summer said. "It's really me".
Qrow hugged her, and he cried. It's been a long time since he saw Summer. He didn't even care how she was here. All that mattered now was that she was here. But then, Qrow had another shock. Yang-II no longer had her prosthetics.
